Uli Latukefu is currently playing the part of the college-aged Dwayne Johnson on the mega-star's autobiographical sitcom Young Rock. In addition to playing The Rock, though, he'll soon be acting alongside him in the upcoming DC Comics film Black Adam, according to Deadline.Warner Bros. has not yet revealed what Latukefu's role in Black Adam will be. He joins an impressive ensemble cast including Johnson himself as Black Adam. The Fortnite island used to be home to an active volcano, and some players are wondering if another is soon to emerge from the ocean deep. With the 16.30 update has come a peculiar new landmass just below Flush Factory in the southern part of the map. In a new interview, Entourage creator Doug Ellin says he feels HBO has given the series the cold shoulder since it ended in 2011. DC Comics has announced in a short announcement video shared on Twitter that DC FanDome will be returning on October 16. While there have not yet been any announcements about what panels or events can be expected from the virtual convention, this at least ends speculation about whether there would be another DC FanDome--or if the company might attempt an in-person equivalent.The speculation and uncertainty over the event has been well-founded, especially as San Diego Comic-Con, citing the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, was recently canceled for a second year in a row. It will instead opt for an online show that will be held virtually in July--but with a Comic-Con International in-person event moving forward sometime in November. The first DC FanDome was announced last June, and was originally intended to be a single-day event, but quickly expanded, with its panels being split between two dates. The latest Game Developers Conference State of the Industry survey has been released, and it's a particularly memorable one this time due to a series of recent developments such as the launch of new consoles, the pandemic, unions, and more.More than 3,000 developers took part in the survey. Beginning with the pandemic, 44% of surveyed developers said their game had a delay due to the health crisis. This is up from 33% from the last survey, which was conducted in summer 2020. Games like Gotham Knights, Hogwarts Legacy, and The Lord of the Rings: Gollum are just a few examples of high-profile games delayed in 2021.While studios might have delayed their games due in part to the pandemic, teams also grew their staff, with 47% of those in the survey reporting that their teams grew. Productivity among teams is also improving, with 66% of respondents saying their productibity stayed the same or increased. This compares to 41% of those surveyed in July 2020 saying their productivity went down.
