So far, it doesn't look like the next major game patch is coming to Fortnite this week, as they usually arrive on Tuesdays with leaks arriving on Mondays. But Fortnite fans still have an update to look forward to by way of today's hotfix, which unvaults two fan-favorite weapons, the Infantry Rifle and Tactical Shotgun, alongside a small list of other fixes. The Tactical Shotgun was most recently seen in Fortnite Season 5. Meanwhile, the Infantry Rifle has been in the vault since the start of Chapter 2, meaning it's been over a year since players last got their hands on it in Battle Royale. For anyone who jumped in after Chapter 2 kicked off, this will be their introduction to one of the game's most beloved weapons.Alongside this lethal pair of weapons come some other boons for players scavenging in the game's last-player-standing mode. Epic said it is once again doubling the chance to find crafting parts in floor loot. This was not nerfed since the last tweak to drop rates, meaning the likelihood of players finding crafting parts in this way continues to surge as the season goes on.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

There's good news for fans of the CW shows Kung Fu and Stargirl. The two series have been renewed for new seasons, much like most of the rest of The CW's programming. The network has given Kung Fu a second season order, while Stargirl--a series originally produced for the late DC Universe streaming service--will return for Season 3."We are beyond proud to continue to share the stories of Nicky Shen and Courtney Whitmore, two strong, powerful young women at the center of this new generation of hit shows for The CW in Kung Fu and DC's Stargirl," CW president Mark Pedowitz said in a statement. "While each boasts remarkable talent on both sides of the camera, Kung Fu and DC's Stargirl have not only treated fans to some visually stunning action and high-flying heroics, but they also both strike very powerful emotional chords as they delve into the family dynamics and personal relationships at their core, and we are so excited to see what happens next."The Stargirl renewal is extra interesting as Season 2 of the series hasn't even debuted yet. It's set to return to The CW in August. The first season originally released first on DC Universe, before being broadcast on The CW the next day. Season 2 will be CW exclusive. The first season of Kung Fu is currently airing, after premiering on the network on April 7.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Apex Legends players on PS4 and PS5 can now pre-load the upcoming Legacy update on both platforms, which goes live May 4. Developer Respawn announced the move on Twitter on Monday, but several players on Twitter, Reddit, and other social media platforms have complained that the pre-load isn't working for them.We already know a ton about what's coming in the Apex Legends Season 9: Legacy update. As you might expect, it introduces a new character named Valkyrie who specializes in recon and aerial attack. (She has a jetpack, which is pretty wild.) As the patch notes reveal, Legacy makes a ton of changes to the game, including nerfing the recent changes to Lifeline's kit, while also improving her heal drone and care package abilities.PlayStation legends! Be ready to dive into the @playapex Legacy update as soon as it goes live by pre-loading now. While the game should automatically download the update, you can give it a little nudge by manually looking for the update. See you tomorrow! — Respawn (@Respawn) May 3, 2021Legacy will also introduce Arenas to the game, a 3v3 round-based team deathmatch that's very similar to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and fellow CS-like Valorant. There's a new weapon in Season 9 too, a marksman bow called the Bocek Bow that, similar to the G7 Scout and Triple-Take, is designed for mid-range and relies on precision hits. Since it uses arrows, players can retrieve ammo from downed foes and loot fired arrows from the ground. As usual, Legacy introduces new skins and other cosmetics to the game, including a Wraith skin that not all of us are happy about.Info from Gamespot.com

A leaked document from the ongoing Epic Games v. Apple lawsuit appears to reveal the number of downloads that each free game offered on the Epic Game Store amassed, as well as the lump sum paid to each developer. The document was posted on Twitter by GameDiscoverCo founder (and former Gamasutra editor) Simon Carless, and the numbers run for nine months, from January to September 2019.As usual with these sort of leaked documents, we can't speak to the absolute veracity of these numbers, but considering the sort of info that has to be prepared for large lawsuits, it's definitely plausible. Carless said that he obtained the document from the public Apple vs. Epic document repository hosted on the cloud content site Box.Want to know how much $ the devs of those 'free' Epic Games Store games got, & how many copies were grabbed? Here's the first 9 months to September 2019. 👀 pic.twitter.com/5hkLb1VEjj — Simon Carless (@simoncarless) May 3, 2021The numbers themselves give a rare look into the cost of "free" games. For example, according to the document, Epic paid Warner Bros. $1.5 million to offer the Batman Arkham series as a temporarily free game on the Epic Games Store. Most of the fees are in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, including hit indie games like Subnautica and Celeste, though Metro: 2033 Redux was apparently given for $0.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

New Pokemon Snap features a ton of Pokemon to photograph in their natural habitats. While the full Pokedex isn't represented in the game, the Switch spin-off boasts a nice selection of Pokemon taken across all eight generations of the series, from old favorites like Caterpie and Pikachu to more recent pocket monsters like Grookey and Scorbunny. How Many Pokemon Are In New Pokemon Snap?New Pokemon Snap features 214 Pokemon in total. As previously mentioned, the Pokemon are pulled from across all eight generations of the series' history, so you'll find monsters from the original Red and Blue versions all the way to the series' latest mainline installments, Sword and Shield. As in the original Nintendo 64 game, many of the Pokemon in New Pokemon Snap can be spotted right out in the open as you travel through the game's different levels, but you'll need to get creative with the tools at your disposal to discover some of them. Certain Pokemon will only emerge from their hiding places if you use the scan function or lure them out with apples fluffruit, for instance, so you'll need to make liberal use of both if you're hoping to fill out your Photodex.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

One of the biggest surprises of Marvel Studios' WandaVision wasn't one of the show's cameos or twists, but rather the lack of one. Many fans expected Doctor Strange to appear, and were left baffled--and a little disappointed--when he didn't show up. In a post-finale twist, we now know that he was actually supposed to, thanks to a new interview of MCU boss Kevin Feige and WandaVision head writer Jac Schaeffer by Rolling Stone.According to Rolling Stone, Feige explained that Marvel had made a deal with Doctor Strange star Benedict Cumberbatch to appear in WandaVision's finale, but ended up writing him out late in the process. He explained why:"Some people might say, 'Oh, it would've been so cool to see Doctor Strange," Feige told Rolling Stone. "But it would have taken away from Wanda, which is what we didn't want to do. We didn't want the end of the show to be commoditized to go to the next movie."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
