Star Wars Day 2021 is in full swing, bringing a slew of deals on Star Wars games, movies, merch, and more. It also tends to bring cool product announcements (like this cool Lego R2-D2 set) and bundles. One of the neatest offers we've seen pop up this Star Wars Day is over at Amazon, which is having a huge sale on Star Wars gear today. Only on May the 4th, you can snag this Baby Yoda-themed Fire TV Stick 4K and Echo Dot bundle, complete with Grogu's pointy ears on the Echo Dot. The brown stand with green ears makes the whole thing look like Baby Yoda's head is staring right at you. There are two versions of this bundle depending on which Echo Dot you pick up. The newer 4th Gen Echo Dot bundle is on sale for $109 (was $144) and releases June 10, while the 3rd Gen Echo Dot bundle is only a few bucks cheaper at $104 and available now. These deals are only available today, and it's unclear how long the bundles will be available at all. If you're looking to pick up this bundle, you may not want to wait. This would make a perfect gift for any Star Wars fan as well--don't forget Mother's Day is coming up this weekend and Father's Day isn't far behind. If you or the person you're shopping for already has an Echo Dot, you can buy the stand separately for $25. Echo Dot (4th Gen) and Fire TV Stick 4K bundle $109 (was $144) | releases June 10 The Echo Dot (4th Gen) bundle features the new spherical Echo Dot, which works really well with the Grogu ears. The Fire TV Stick 4K supports 4K and HDR as well as access to all of the top streaming services, including Disney Plus, Netflix, Apple TV, and more. It also allows for voice control with Alexa. Meanwhile, the 4th Gen Echo Dot released last year is the perfect smart home device, letting you play music, hear the news and weather, set alarms, and more. See at Amazon Echo Dot (3rd Gen) and Fire TV Stick 4K bundle $104 (was $134) Though it's not much cheaper, this bundle with the 3rd Gen Echo Dot is available now with free shipping by Thursday. The 3rd Gen Echo Dot is very similar in terms of functionality to the 4th Gen version aside from their obvious differences in build. A notable difference is the 4th Gen Dot's improvement in sound quality due to its forward-firing speaker, making it louder and clearer. Still, if you don't want to wait until June or like the look of this Dot better, this bundle is certainly an option. See at Amazon Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The Epic v Apple lawsuit is currently underway, and several very interesting pieces of information about Epic and Apple's businesses have already come to light. What no one could have expected was that the trial would also reveal that Wal-Mart is apparently working on a games streaming service. As reported by The Verge, previously confidential Epic emails have detailed the experience of playing Wal-Mart's service, codenamed Project Storm. Epic co-founder Mark Rein discussed actually going hands-on with Project Storm all the way back in April 2019, right around when rumors of the service first began popping up. In the email thread, Rein described the experience as similar to "playing on PS4 and superior to playing on Android or iOS."Walmart has been working on an unannounced game streaming service, codenamed Project StormAccording to Verge sources, the launch has been put on hold due to the pandemic and it is not clear whether this will turn into an actual commercial producthttps://t.co/QFKDy3h0dt pic.twitter.com/jWsOcaRFVK — Nibel (@Nibellion) May 4, 2021A handful of other details about the service were revealed as well, although they should be taken with a big grain of salt since these emails were sent in 2019 and Wal-Mart may have significantly shifted its approach since then. However, they still give an interesting glimpse into what may be Wal-Mart's first big push into the games industry. For example, Rein said that Wal-Mart may sell a clip that can attach to a phone to hold an Xbox controller, and that it would sell the clip for very low prices. In addition, a pitch slide shared in the thread shows that Wal-Mart was trying to get many third-party publishers and developers on board.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Dude, it's f**king hilarious to me. I do have this Twitter account and I see how often Spider-Man is trending and it's people freaking out about a thing," Garfield said. Director Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy celebrates a massive milestone this year, as the first entry in the film series turns 20 years old in December. Originally released in 2001, The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring set the tone for an adventure that starred a humble group of Hobbits embarking on a journey to destroy the One Ring that threatened all of Middle-earth. Naturally, there was a whole lot of falling, stumbling, and tumbles on the way to Mount Doom.YouTube channel LOTR & Hobbit Edits tackled the task of showing just how cruel gravity is in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, creating a supercut of moments in the film that's nothing but a montage of intense plummeting action. How much content is there in total? Almost five entire minutes of Hobbits collapsing, wizard nosedives, and a steep depreciation in Elves being able to maintain their center of gravity.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

To mark the Star Wars Day celebration, NPD analyst Mat Piscatella has released a chart that shows the top-selling and highest-earning Star Wars video games in the US.The chart shows the best-selling games based on dollar sales between January 1995 and March 2021. EA's Star Wars: Battlefront is the top-selling Star Wars game in US history during the tracked period, with EA's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order coming in second. Rounding out the top five were 2017's Star Wars: Battlefront II, Lego star Wars: The Complete Saga, and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.Given the strong results for EA's games, it's understandable why EA and Disney are staying in business for additional Star Wars titles in the future. The publisher no longer has the exclusive license for console games, however, as Lucasfilm is now working with Ubisoft on a new Star Wars open-world game from the developers of The Division.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

According to the Roblox metrics blog and tools site RTrack, the game-making platform notched a staggering 202 million estimated users in April 2021, an all-time high and an increase of 10 million from March 2021.These are impressive numbers by any metric. For comparison, Call of Duty had more than 100 million monthly active players in 2020, which drove record revenue. One source stated that Among Us clocked over half a billion (500 million) active users in November 2020, which made it the most popular game ever in terms of that measure. However, based on Among Us's SteamCharts, those numbers have decreased substantially in the intervening six months, though they're still quite healthy. Minecraft recently notched 140 million monthly active users. What makes Roblox so successful is the fact that these numbers have stayed consistent over the past few months."Defying predictions, Roblox MAU hits all time high at 202 Million Estimated Users in April 2021, picking up 10 Million users compared to the month before." $RBLXhttps://t.co/sS71Fs7MKd — RTrack (@rtrack_live) May 4, 2021According to the blog post, this is somewhat of a surprise. (Also, keep in mind these are estimated numbers, not official numbers.) Developer Roblox Corporation stated to investors that it expected the monthly active users number to decrease in the first few months of 2021 as global lockdown measures ease in the face of growing vaccination numbers. However, the decrease from 199 million monthly active users in February 2021 to 192 million monthly active users in March is the only decrease that the title has seen so far this year.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The reveal trailer for Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer showcased what's next for Bungie's online shooter. It also revealed that the popular character Ikora Rey has seemingly been recast. Or perhaps not. We're waiting to hear from Bungie on the official word.People immediately noticed and commented that it doesn't sound like Gina Torres (famous for Joss Whedon's Firefly) providing the voicework for Ikora in the trailer. Comments about this were spread across the video's comments on YouTube and across Twitter and other parts of social media.Bungie has yet to officially comment on this, but Ikora wouldn't be the first major Destiny character voiced by a celebrity to be recast. Peter Dinklage voiced Ghost in the original Destiny only to be replaced by prolific voice actor Nolan North due in part to Dinklage's very busy schedule. At the time, he was filming Game of Thrones, for example.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

May the 4th is about celebrating treasured Star Wars memories, some of which you might want to capture in the future with deals on two Star Wars-themed instant cameras. From both Fujifilm and Polaroid, these instant cameras give you a new way to personalize your pictures with instant exposure film with Star Wars borders or keep it sleek and subtle with camera designs that pay homage to the film series without projecting that love out to everyone around you. The Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 Star Wars camera is on sale for $61 (down from $116) while the Mandalorian-themed Polaroid camera is down to $85 from $120. If you've got a Star Wars fan in your life, either of these would make a great gift as well--don't forget Mother's Day is coming up this weekend. Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 Star Wars Instant Camera $61 (was $116) The Fujifilm Instax is one of the most recognizable instant cameras on the market today, with the company's Star Wars-branded model on sale at Amazon. The cream and blue coloring of the Instax Mini 9 doesn't immediately scream a galaxy from far, far away, but the BB-8 and Rebel Alliance embellishments really drive it home if you somehow miss the iconic title font on the front of the camera. This bundle also comes with two packs of film, each of which features Star Wars borders on the credit card-sized pictures. This is a great gift to capture any future Star Wars memories. See at Amazon Polaroid Originals Now i-Type Camera - Star Wars The Mandalorian Edition $85 (was $120) The Polaroid Originals Now I-Type camera is quite different to the Instax, featuring a far more nostalgic design that includes autofocus, double exposure, and an accurate flash. In that sense, it's a far more accomplished camera in this market, but what makes this one special is the subtle Mandalorian styling that will make it stand out from the rest of the colorful range. The camera features the series' title on the front, as well as The Mandalorian's signet on the top. With the gunmetal and brown finish, it looks the part, too. This model doesn't come with any film, but Polaroid also sells The Mandalorian-styled film packs separately. See at Amazon Both deals are in celebration of May the 4th, which has already been bursting with great Star Wars deals for all sorts of gadgets. There's a R2-D2 mini projector that even makes the same sound effects as the droid did in A New Hope, a great chance to save on Star Wars: Squadrons and Star Wars JedI: Fallen Order, and even the chance to grab your own Tauntaun sleeping bag that thankfully doesn't smell like the real thing. I'm sure Han Solo would've preferred that at the time.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
