Among the numerous upcoming projects that actor Chris Pratt is working on is The Terminal List, a new TV series based on the Jack Carr novels. Pratt is filming the show right now, and he shared a brutally bloody behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram recently.Posted to his Instagram story, and available below in an image shared by Carr, the image shows a series of bullet holes in a windshield, with blood splattered throughout the scene. The image also reveals that MJ Bassett directed this episode in particular. This level of bloodshed is expected from The Terminal List, as the story follows a former Navy SEAL--James Reece--who exacts revenge in brutal fashion upon those who wronged him. That being said, we don't have any context for the scene in question from Pratt's image. Pratt plays Reece, while the series also features Taylor Kitsch (John Carter, True Detective). It's directed by action movie veteran Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, Shooter, Olympus Has Fallen).Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

One of the first Metroid-like upgrades you get in Returnal is the Atropian Blade, a sword that gives you a melee attack. It also allows you to destroy red force fields that sometimes block your path, and more often, protect enemies from your guns. But not long after you encounter red force fields you can slice through with your sword, you'll start to find orange force fields blocking doors that your sword apparently can't handle. The good news is, you don't need to fight deep into Returnal's biomes to earn another permanent upgrade to your sword to breach those force fields. Though Returnal never makes it clear, there is a way to knock out orange force fields that doesn't require you to beat any bosses or unlock new biomes. How To Break Orange Door BarriersTo deal with this second brand of force fields, you need a specific artifact called "Balanced Blade." You can find the gear-shaped artifact in fabricators, in chests, or in random drops from enemies. When you get the upgrade, you'll increase the power of your melee attacks, while also being able to break orange force fields just like red ones by slashing them with your sword--and most of the time, when you clear an orange force field, you'll find a room full of health, weapon, or suit upgrades that will make any given run a little easier.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The prolific Taika Waititi will now star in, in addition to producing, the upcoming HBO Max comedy series Our Flag Means Death, according to Deadline. The period series is loosely based on the true adventures of Stede Bonnet, a wealthy landowner who gave up fancy living in 1717 to hit the high seas as a pirate--a great premise for a comedy made all the better with the news that Waititi will be starring as the dreaded pirate Blackbeard.Waititi joins the previously announced series lead Rhys Darby, who will play Bonnet. Darby and Waititi have worked and also acted together on the HBO series Flight of the Conchords and the film What We Do in the Shadows. Until this announcement, Waititi was only expected to produce the series and direct Our Flag Means Death's pilot, when the series was first announced back in 2020."Our Blackbeard is a legend, a lover, a fighter, a tactical genius, a poetic soul, and quite possibly insane," said series creator David Jenkins. "Only one man could play this role, and that is the great Taika Waititi. We're thrilled beyond measure he's decided to don the beard."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Riot Games is updating its privacy notice to inform players across all of its games that new voice chat moderation tools will be implemented to tackle toxicity. The first game to use these abilities, which will record in-game voice chat when a report is filed, is the tactical shooter Valorant. The studio will store audio data for use when players report those engaging in abusive or disruptive behavior. The data is then scrubbed through to see if anything violates Riot Games' Terms of Service or other policies. It will be made available to the violating player if an infringement occurred and deleted after it's no longer needed. Data will also be deleted if the recording contains no disruptive behavior.Riot said the new voice moderations tools don't involve actively listening to live in-game audio. The studio clarified that it will only listen to audio once a report has been filed. For now, the system will be beta tested in North America before expanding elsewhere around the world. Those concerned about their privacy can always opt for a third-party voice chat app like Discord.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Romero's wife, Suzanne Romero, has been working with screenwriters to complete the final movie Romero had been working on up until his death.Romero wrote the treatment for Twilight of the Dead with Paolo Zelati, who got permission from Suzanne Romero to continue working on the project. Zelati has now brought on Joe Knetter (Blind) and Robert L. Like superhero comics, fighting game franchise Mortal Kombat is packed full of complicated continuity involving resurrections, reincarnations, and revivals of characters, and Sub-Zero actor Joe Taslim doesn't see why this practice can't make its way into the new live-action movies.
