Call of Duty: Warzone mission Hunt for Adler didn't go as planned, and progression issues kept players from enjoying the Black Ops Cold War-themed content. Raven Software is offering an apology gift, with anyone who logs into the game before the end of Season 3 receiving a free Adler "Tortured & Rescued" skin.Raven Software made the announcement late on April 30, thanking players for being patient regarding the issues and for participating in the limited-time event.Starting right now and until the end of Season Three, anyone who logs into #Warzone will be granted the 'Tortured & Rescued' Adler Skin. We'd like to thank everyone for participating in the Hunt for Adler limited time event and for being patient these past few days.🎉 https://t.co/c4PlhB6qbx — Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) May 1, 2021Those problems had included progression not being tracked while trying to complete the event, as well as intel players needed to get being located beyond where they could actually go in the game. The mission began following a massive event to kick off the season, which included a nuclear bomb being dropped on Verdansk. For some reason, it turned back the hand of time and transported everyone to 1984.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Content warning: This article discusses subject matter pertaining to mental health including anxiety, depression, and self-harm.At the almost-exact midpoint of Final Fantasy 6, the classic 1994 RPG from Squaresoft, the power-hungry Gestahl Empire has raised the Floating Continent, where it intends to use a powerful magical field to consolidate its power and rule the world. At this point, what had been a familiar "evil empire versus scrappy rebellion" story takes a turn, as one of the Empire's lieutenants, Kefka, overthrows his emperor and intentionally throws the magical field out of balance, ushering in worldwide darkness and destruction. There is no master plan at play here. Kefka is pure nihilistic glee, destruction for the sake of destruction. When he emerges as the game's primary antagonist, it's no longer an evil empire but sheer wanton devastation you're fighting against. At this point in the game, death and destruction wins.Today, we know how that feels. Death won here in our world too, at least for a while.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

"Do you think it's cool to make people cry?" is what I came to Yoko Taro with when the interview started over our Zoom call. Of course, it was a cheeky way to let him know that the story of the recent reissue of Nier Replicant had me in my feelings. And with Yoko-san on the other end of the call as a virtual Kermit the Frog avatar that animated as he talked and gestured, how could we take things seriously? But he came back with an earnest answer."How should I put this...whenever a game comes out, the comments or the feedback that it receives is based not on the creator's perspective, but how the players interpreted it. I don't know if I'm able to say if that's a good thing or not!"As I got into my next question about building Nier's sorrowful atmosphere, he prefaced by telling me, "Oh, I didn't realize you were kind of joking with that first question. I should have given you a more fun answer to that!"Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Totally Real (Read: Absolutely Fake) Animal Crossing: New Horizons Game Is On The Microsoft PC Store
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is one of the biggest Nintendo Switch games in recent years, but as with any exclusive, there are people out there who try and take advantage of folks who don't necessarily know about the exclusivity. A fake New Horizons title is currently being sold on the Microsoft PC storefront, and it's not even trying to be a clone--it's just a straight-up rip-off.Surfaced by Nintendeal on Twitter, the Microsoft Store New Horizons game is going for just $3 right now, but we cannot recommend highly enough that you do not purchase it. First, it's almost certainly a copyright infringement on Nintendo's property; second, if the screenshots are anything to be believed, the gameplay doesn't resemble Animal Crossing in the slightest. If anything, it looks like a clone of the 2014 hit mobile game Crossy Road.Microsoft Store listing for the fake Animal Crossing game.Gallery A search on the Microsoft Store shows that this isn't the first time that this studio has attempted to steal imagery from other games in its marketing. There's also a title called Craft Imposter Among that--you guessed it--uses knock-off Among Us-esque art. It, too, isn't anything like Among Us.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Ubisoft has been one of the Nintendo Switch's biggest third-party supporters over the last few years, and there are a ton of different Ubisoft games on the system. Several of those are currently on sale via the Nintendo eShop, including Assassin's Creed III: Remastered, Rayman Legends, Trials Rising, and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. Hot off the heels of another publisher sale from Ubisoft, the new sale offers even more discounts on the company's Switch games. Assassin's Creed III: Remastered is only $16, while Trials Rising is only $6. Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, which is a tremendous and accessible take on the XCOM formula, is usually $60, but is only $15 during the sale. And for one of the best 2D platformers ever made, you can get Rayman Legends for just $10. Other games included in the sale are South Park: The Stick of Truth and its sequel, South Park: The Fractured but Whole. The two games share the series' signature visuals and writing, but the former game is a more-traditional turn-based RPG while the latter has some strategy and spacing elements, too. The games are $12 and $15, respectively. Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Mass Effect Legendary Edition, which packages up upgraded remasters of the first three Mass Effect games as well as (almost) all of the DLC, is coming on May 14. However, it appears we already know what's coming in the game's day one update: performance tweaks, lighting improvements, and quite vague "miscellaneous content fixes."First noticed by Twisted Voxel, Mass Effect Legendary Edition's Patch 1.1 has already gone live on PlayStation servers. On the update's page on Orbis Patches, it comes in at 11.8 GB and brings with it a set of changes that isn't too surprising for a day one patch. The patch notes, which are quite sparse, reveal a handful of tweaks to make the game run better. These include stability improvements, bug fixes to prevent crashes, and lighting improvements. Finally, the patch also brings benefits to ambient occlusion, a graphics feature that increases the realism of shadows and lighting.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Guy Fieri, the Mayor of Flavortown, is on a mission to help small restaurants come back to life after the pandemic. In Elliot Page's first interview since coming out as trans in December, the actor told Oprah about his mounting pressures and stressors around gender as a performer in TV and movies. One standout moment exemplary of the conversation, via Yahoo News, is Page's memories of fainting while on a press tour for Inception back in 2010."There was so much press and so many premieres all around the world and I was wearing dresses and heels to pretty much every single event," Page said of Inception's media campaign. Those expectations led and also contributed to a recurring pattern of panic attacks, which he says have "happened frequently in my life… every single aspect of who you are constantly being looked at and put in a box is a very binary system."Page's experiences promoting Juno, the still-lauded 2008 quirky comedy--which led to Page's nominations for Best Actress for his role--were similarly stressful. When Juno proved to be a surprise success, Page says, rather than excitement, he felt isolated: "It felt so impossible to communicate with people how unwell I was because obviously there is so much excitement… felt I couldn't express just the degree of pain I was in."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
