PC peripherals brand Glorious has been around for a while, launching numerous great mice, keyboards, wrist rests, and more. But none of its products have been as eye-catching as its GMMK Pro keyboard--a new product that aims to make getting your hands on a custom keyboard kit easier while also opening the hobby to a much larger audience.Custom keyboards have been an expensive and relatively small hobby for a while, but recently the scene has seen an explosion of interest. This doesn't mean many of the components you need to make your own board are easy to get. Many kits, like the one Glorious is selling with the GMMK Pro, can usually only be purchased through extended group buys or in limited-quantity sales, meaning you're either going to need to get lucky or have a lot of patience to get one.The GMMK Pro aims to change that while also being a compelling option at its price point. Glorious ran its own pre-sale period for this keyboard earlier this year, but starting July 6 you'll be able to get it from its website without needing to register for a chance to purchase it. Glorious says that stock will likely be limited from the outset, but that it plans to always have the GMMK Pro as a standard item on sale, eventually allowing you to grab one whenever you want.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Streets of Rage 4's upcoming DLC Mr. X Nightmare will bring a lot of new content to the game, and now it finally has a release date of July 15. As revealed in a post on the PlayStation Blog, the DLC will add three new characters to the mix, as well as a survival mode that's designed to push players to their limit. The survival mode injects some RPG elements into the game's beat-'em-up formula, allowing players to choose perks in order to customize their character build. Obviously, some perks are more useful than others with certain characters, so it's up to players to figure out what build works best for them. Players will have to see how long they can last against hordes of enemies. The new characters include Estel, a police officer that you fight as a boss as part of the core Streets of Rage 4 campaign, as well as returning grappler Max and martial artist Shiva. As players last longer in survival mode, they'll also unlock new moves for familiar characters like Axel and Cherry, which gives the game a whole new layer of depth.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Nintendo is still pursuing a permanent injunction against RomUniverse owner and operator Matthew Storman--which in non-legal speak means that Nintendo wants to prevent Storman from ever reviving RomUniverse. In June 2021, Nintendo successfully won a lawsuit against Storman. US District Court Judge Consuelo Marshall ordered Storman to pay $2.1 million copyright and trademark infringement damages to the gaming behemoth. The exact math behind the $2.1 million sum Storman owes to Nintendo breaks down to $35,000 statutory damages for each of the 49 copyrighted Nintendo games that were on the site and an extra $400,000 in statutory damages under the Lanham Act.Nintendo originally wanted $90,000 in damages per game, totaling to a sum of $15 million. But the judge thought that Nintendo's asking price was too high, especially since Storman had already closed his site and as a result, did not possess a stream of income anymore.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Bungie has been buzzing for a while now that it'll release a big weapon rebalancing patch for Destiny 2. We now have some details about what the developer is planning, with a number of the upcoming tweaks coming in a mid-season patch planned for July 6. Shotguns and some hand cannons are getting tweaked to be less dominant in the Crucible, and other special weapons should be more viable--at least in certain situations. The upcoming changes were laid out in a This Week at Bungie blog post, which gives a broad-strokes look at the update without drilling too deep into actual patch notes. There are quite a few changes coming, though, including tweaks to perks and a few Exotics, as well as some particular gun archetypes.Bungie says it's looking to adjust special weapons in general, so that all guns in the secondary slot for players are viable in specific situations, but not all the time. The idea is that, if you're up close, a shotgun is a great choice; at a range and without incoming fire, you're free to snipe. But get caught out of position using the wrong type of gun, and you should be at a distinct disadvantage. Right now, a lot of weapons feel more or less essential to Crucible play--if you're not carrying a shotgun, in a lot of situations, you're probably going to get busted by someone who is.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Humble Bundle is updating how its sliders work, no longer allowing purchasers to choose to give 100% of their money to charity. In a blog post, Humble Bundle announced that the company will now have a minimum of 15% to 30% of money going to Humble, where previously any purchasers could choose to have 100% of their money go to charity using the sliders. This comes after Humble reversed the decision to remove the sliders completely back in May, taking away the ability for people to choose how much money goes to Humble, developers/publishers, and charity. Part of the backlash to that decision was removing the ability to give 100% of the money to charity, something that is considered a staple of the platform. In the new blog post, Humble said there will continue to be some 100% charity bundles in the future, but most bundles will have a minimum amount going to the online platform."The PC storefront landscape has changed significantly since we first launched bundles in 2010, and we have to continue to evolve with it to stay on mission," the Humble Bundle team said. "The update will allow us to continue to offer great prices on amazing games, books, and software all while supporting important charitable initiatives with every single purchase."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

No one would blame you if you thought The Forever Purge, which hits theaters on Friday, was the last installment of the franchise, which has now spanned five movies and two seasons of television--even writer James DeMonaco thought so. But DeMonaco still has ideas rolling around in his head, he said in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly."I thought it was [the final Purge film]," said DeMonaco who wrote all five Purge films and directed the first three in the series. "It was like, this is it, my end of America, America is burning. So that was the initial intent.""I'm going to be completely honest, I came up with something about two months ago. I woke up with a new way that we can keep it fresh and turn the thing upside down. So if people want it, the idea's in the works, I've outlined it, so it could happen," DeMonaco he.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The show will not re-cast or revisit Sigourney Weaver's iconic character Ellen Ripley."It's not a Ripley story," Hawley said. "She's one of the great characters of all time, and I think the story has been told pretty perfectly, and I don't want to mess with it."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

On July 23, the first season of Masters of the Universe: Revelation will debut on Netflix. The series is one of a number of He-Man-centric projects in the works, with director Kevin Smith serving as showrunner. Now, through this show, he's speaking directly to fans of the original animated series with a tale tailored to them.Revelation is a direct sequel to the original Masters of the Universe, featuring all of the characters you remember playing with--voiced by the likes of Sarah Michelle Gellar, Mark Hamill, Lena Headey, Chris Wood, and Tiffany Smith. Now, though, the franchise has a bit more of an adult tone to it, where the violence and stakes feel a bit scarier than when you were a kid. This new take on the iconic franchise all started in a meeting between Smith and Mattel vice president of creative content Rob David. "He's like, 'We want to do a show that honors the original show and just kind of continues the storyline. This show is for all the people who grew up watching the original Masters of the Universe,'" Smith told GameSpot.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
