The first trailer for FX's American Horror Stories, an anthology spin-off of the main show, has been released. As announced previously, the anthology series focuses on a different "horror story" each week, and if the trailer is anything to go on, there are some big scares coming. One of the episodes will apparently focus on a murderous Santa Claus played by Danny Trejo, while another sequence shows someone wearing a pig head and brandishing a cleaver emerging from behind a shower curtain. You know, the stuff of nightmares, basically. Here's the trailer:American Horror Stories launches on July 15 through FX on Hulu with two episodes, which will air back-to-back. The show features Matt Bomer, Evan Peters, Billie Lourd, Paris Jackson, and Taissa Farmiga, among others.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed in a new Hollywood Reporter interview that it's unlikely for Samuel L. Jackson-esque nine-movie deals--contracts for multiple pictures signed all at once--to happen in the future."That got a lot of attention way back when, with I think Scarlett, and [Chris] Hemsworth and Evans and Sam Jackson. It varies now," Feige said to THR. "It varies, project to project, cast to cast. Really, what we want are people that come in, are excited to be in the universe, are excited at the opportunity to do more things, as opposed to being locked into contractual obligations."Feige did mention that contracts for multiple pictures isn't totally out of the question, though, and that the studio could still offer talent deals for theme park attractions--a statement backed up by recent announcements. Black Widow star Scarlett Johansson signed on as producer and actress for a new movie based on Disney's Tower of Terror ride.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Microsoft is rewarding a large percentage of its global employees with a $1,500 bonus, considering the challenging times everyone has faced since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The one-time bonus was detailed in an internal memo that has been seen by The Verge, with the reward being announced to employees today. The bonus will apply to a wide range of Microsoft employees, from full-time staff to contractors. Anyone below corporate vice president level who has worked at the company on or before March 31, 2021, will be eligible. This does seem to only apply to core Microsoft employees, however, with workers at Microsoft-owned company's such as LinkedIn, GitHub, and the recently acquired ZeniMax not qualifying.Microsoft isn't the first company that shared profits with employees during the pandemic. Facebook, Amazon, and more have also offered employees bonuses, although Microsoft is one of the higher payers on that scale. The entire program is reportedly going to cost Microsoft around $200 million, which, as The Verge points out, is around less than two days' worth of profits for the software giant.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Regulation pinball machines are big, bulky, and quite expensive, all of which make them a hard sell for personal use in a home game room. That's where Arcade1Up's new virtual pinball machines come in. Much like it did with arcade machines, Arcade1Up has designed a digital pinball table that's both size-appropriate and much cheaper than standard pinball machines. Three models are available--Star Wars, Marvel, and Attack from Mars--each of which is loaded with a bunch of different digital pinball boards in place of a traditional pinball playfields. For the purpose of this review, I tested Star Wars Pinball. While it doesn't offer a wholly authentic pinball experience, it's still a well-designed machine with lots of variety and a great addition to your home arcade.Close to the real dealAs a digital pinball table, you're not actually using the plunger to shoot a real ball onto the game board, nor are you moving real flippers with the press of the side buttons. Arcade1Up's Star Wars Pinball is fitted with a 24-inch LCD screen that displays the game boards in 720p resolution. That said, Arcade1Up did an admirable job of making it feel like you're actually playing real pinball thanks to haptic feedback and sounds that provide a similar sensation. Solenoid modules create accurate ball feedback all across the board. Overall, the moment-to-moment pinball gameplay is very impressive. Each of the 10 boards has a unique look.Gallery Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
