Though rumored to have been destroyed, an eBay seller has reportedly uncovered an incredibly rare Nintendo eReader card from E3 2002 and threw it up for auction, where it's currently bidding for thousands of dollars.The card in question is a first-place Kirby eReader card from Nintendo's E3 2002 show floor. At the time, attendees were given a promo pack containing these potentially prize-winning cards emblazoned with iconic Nintendo characters. They came in three variants--first, second, and third place--with only 10 first-place cards being printed. We don't know a ton about IO Interactive's James Bond game Project 007, but a new job listing says that it might be a third-person action game. The job listing calls for an AI programmer to join the project, and one of the bullet points states that "experience working with 3rd person action games" is desirable.The listing also says a few things that we already know about the game: that it will be a wholly original Bond story rather than based on any preexisting material, and that it will be some sort of origin story that will explore how Bond earned his 00 status in the first place.We first heard about Project 007 in late 2020 after IO posted a short teaser on social media. Unnamed sources have reportedly revealed to Deadline that Bassam Tariq (Mogul Mowgli) is far along on talks to direct the long-gestating and still upcoming Blade movie from Marvel. Although Marvel didn't provide an official comment, Deadline is indicating that the decision comes after months of meetings stretching from March to June--which themselves were a continuation of meetings taking place last fall.Plans for a new version of the Blade character, originally played by Wesley Snipes in the early 2000s, were first announced in 2019 during Comic-Con. Snipes, for the record, is welcoming this new incarnation--and has plans for his own "Blade-killer" movie, so it looks like we're all due for lots of awesome vampire-killing movies ahead. Outside of a handful of official in-person gatherings around the globe, 2021 marked the second year running that Pokemon Go Fest--the Pokemon mobile game's biggest annual event--was largely held virtually. Although developer Niantic has traditionally hosted Go Fests at real-world venues, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the company to pivot to a virtual format for 2020's event. Despite the impromptu shift, Pokemon Go Fest 2020 turned out pretty well, and Niantic built upon the lessons it learned last year to make Pokemon Go Fest 2021 one of the best events it's ever held for the game.Just as last year, the festivities were spread across two days, with different activities and Pokemon available during each. Day 1 featured rotating virtual habitats that shifted hourly and changed up what kinds of Pokemon appeared in the wild. In lieu of exploring outside, this was a clever way of simulating the experience of wandering into a new environment and stumbling upon different Pokemon. Like last year, it was fun to check in throughout the day to see which monsters I would encounter.Day 2, however, was the true highlight. In contrast to last year's event, which was "interrupted" by a Team Go Rocket takeover, day 2 of Pokemon Go Fest 2021 revolved entirely around Legendaries. Every Legendary Pokemon that has appeared in Pokemon Go to date returned to Raid Battles throughout the day, which made for a fittingly epic way to celebrate the game's fifth anniversary.
