The first season of Netflix's Castlevania show was really more of a teaser than a full season. Over just four short episodes, it established the main characters and conflict and gave us a taste of the action, with the promise of more to come at a later date. In the portion of Castlevania Season 2 sent to press--six of the eight new episodes--that promise has yet to be fulfilled.Castlevania Season 2 follows characters on two fronts: Dracula's court, and the small crew fighting against him. The latter consists of familiar faces: Trevor Belmont (Richard Armitage), Alucard (James Callis), and Sypha (Alejandra Reynoso), all of whom we met in Season 1. Like much of Castlevania, the chemistry among the trio has potential, but it's yet to bear fruit, even three quarters of the way through Season 2. Unfortunately, they spend almost the entire first six episodes simply sequestered away in a massive library researching ways to take Dracula down. That probably sounds boring--because it is. And it's made even more so by the distinct lack of action; where Alucard and Trevor clashed blades at the end of Season 1, now they're content to simply trade childish barbs, much to Sypha's (and likely the audience's) frustration. Granted, they are on the same side now, but their dynamic gets old quickly.Belmont and crew's preparatory storyline is really the B plot so far this time around, as the meat of Castlevania Season 2 follows Dracula (Graham McTavish)--or, more accurately, those in his vampire war council, since the Dark Lord himself does literally nothing in all the episodes we've seen so far. There's one medium length flashback in which he massacres a council of merchants who offended him, but it's not like that moves the story along. Dracula is actually extremely morose and depressed throughout Season 2 so far--an enormous sea change from his force-of-nature rage in Season 1, the reason for which is unclear, since these episodes seem to pick up shortly after the last batch.Instead, we follow the intrigue in Dracula's court, which includes the bulk of new characters we meet: Godbrand, a hilariously brutish, hard-living, hard-killing vampire lord voiced with relish by the distinctive Peter Stormare; Carmella, a power-hungry female vampire who immediately starts to question Dracula's rule; and the human-hating-humans Hector and Isaac, who Dracula appoints to lead his war effort. This doesn't go over well with Godbrand, and Carmella seeks her own ends, so there's no end of drama among Dracula's generals.Hector and Isaac are particularly well fleshed out, as we get flashbacks and monologues that describe both why they hate other humans, and how they came to be in Dracula's service. Isaac is a former slave whose master was excessively cruel, while Hector is a "Forge Master" who uses magic to imbue dead things with life, making him the architect of Dracula's demon army. There are other vampires among the war council, and they certainly look cool during the handful of action scenes they take part in during these episodes, but they're not named or fleshed out.One thing Castlevania Season 2 definitely does have is buildup. All the intrigue and tension is leading somewhere--there's never doubt of that. By the end of the sixth episode, with just two more to go, the pieces seem to finally be falling into place. Belmont is fighting demons, Sypha is doing magic, and Dracula is--well, Dracula is still brooding, but the rest of his forces are finally at war. The action is still creatively executed, and fights look cool. But with eight episodes instead of just four, there was hope that Castlevania Season 2 would feel like more of a complete thing. Instead, it feels more like Season 1 was the first act, and this is simply a continuation, and the extra room has been spent developing new characters while the old ones tread water. We'll learn for sure whether it will all lead to a satisfying conclusion when Castlevania Season 2 hits Netflix on October 26.The GoodThe BadAction is creative and coolPacing problemsWell fleshed out new charactersSeveral characters tread waterLots of potential Info from Gamespot.com

The highlight of the latest weekly reset in Destiny 2 is undoubtedly Festival of the Lost and the return of Iron Banner. But it's also brought with it the standard refresh of content, which includes an appearance by Xur and a different bounty from Spider to complete for Powerful gear. For this week, it's Wanted: Bloody Cleaver. Here's what you need to know and how to complete it. [Update: It's Monday and the weekly reset is almost upon us, so you don't have much time left to grab this bounty if you haven't already done so.]Spider's entire slate of bounties have been updated, and to start this one out, you'll want to head to him on the Tangled Shore. Blood Cleaver will be the last (and most expensive) one listed, costing you five Ghost Fragments. But as noted above, it rewards Powerful gear, making this a task worth taking on.Once you've purchased the bounty, you'll receive a new Adventure on Io. This takes you into a Lost Sector you'll have to make your way through. Partway in, you'll be introduced to the Suppressed nerf, which prevents you from firing your weapon but still allows you to melee. This is key, as the boss will take up residence inside a dome that inflicts this effect on you. You'll have to repeatedly run in and out, dealing damage with your melee (or grenade, if you're fast) to the object in the middle of the dome.Once it's destroyed, you'll need something called a Scorpius Core. Enemies and turrets will spawn around the outside of the dome, and killing them all will allow you to pick up a Scorpius Core. This can be picked up and brought back to the center of the dome. Dunk it by walking over that spot and the dome will finally go down, allowing you to kill Blood Cleaver. Alternatively, you can simply brute force your way to a kill, as demonstrated in the video above, though that isn't recommended. It can be a frustrating mission, but it does at least provide some variety after we saw the Gravetide Summoner bounty come up three weeks in a row. If you are looking for something new to do, you can check out the Haunted Forest as part of the new Festival of the Lost event, or dive into Iron Banner to earn its rewards. A new update, 2.0.4, is also now live for the game. Info from Gamespot.com

Fortnite has exploded into wild popularity thanks to its free-to-play Battle Royale mode, thanks in part to its availability as a free-to-play game. But Fortnite's original Save the World mode will also eventually transition to a free-to-play model. However, those plans have been pushed out of 2018, as developer Epic Games says it needs to progress on some reworks and additional features before it makes the switch. In an update about its Save the World mode, Epic suggests that the popularity of Fortnite as a whole means it needs to be prepared for a large influx of new users once STW goes free for all."We're working on a broad set of features, reworks, and backend system scaling we believe are needed to go free-to-play," it said. "Scaling up for the legions of player heroes who will be joining the fight is key to providing an excellent experience. This applies to all of our players, old and new, so we’re taking the time to get this right."If you just can't wait for it to go free-to-play, Epic is hosting a 50% off sale for the Standard, Deluxe, Standard Deluxe, and Limited Founder's Packs starting later this week. That means that your cheapest option will be $20 soon, until it goes free. Founders will also get a Brainiac Jonesy and Skull Ranger Ramirez for free if they log on during the Fortnitemares Halloween event. The update also details a big change to the Hero System to give you more flexibility in the loadouts, along with several front-end UI improvements. The cooperative PvE Save the World mode was the original pitch for Fortnite, and has remained in development as the free-to-play PvP Battle Royale has exploded in popularity. It's fair to say the free version of the game has overshadowed its original vision, especially since the PvE isn't available for some versions, including the Nintendo Switch or mobile games. But at least some of its large audience is likely to jump into Save the World once it's free, so Epic is looking to be prepared. If you need a hand on earning your rewards in Battle Royale, make sure to check out our challenge guide for this season.Info from Gamespot.com

With tax, that's about $8,600 USD / 6,631 GBP. You can buy the bundle with Nero's jacket undamaged, like in previous games, or slightly ripped up like how it appears in DMC 5. The version of the bundle that comes with V's jacket has the lowest price tag at 648,000 yen. That's about $5,741 USD / 4,427 GBP.If you don't want to import the game from Japan, or simply wish to avoid dropping a few thousand dollars on a video game, Devil May Cry 5 has a cheaper Deluxe Edition. Only costing $70 USD, the Deluxe Edition includes three Devilbreaker weapons, live-action cutscenes, 12 music tracks from Devil May Cry 1-4, the Cavaliere motorcycle weapon for Dante, and other digital content.Devil May Cry 5 is the first mainline game in the series since 2008's Devil May Cry 4. Both Dante and Nero return in DMC 5 as playable characters, and they're joined by a strange newcomer named V. The story takes place several years after the events of DMC 4, with Nero setting up his own demon hunting agency and Dante and V working together to solve mysterious events happening around the world.Devil May Cry 5 releases for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on March 8, 2019.Info from Gamespot.com

If you've been keeping up with all the Disney/Fox news, you've probably noticed a lot of movie release dates being pushed around, and there's a good reason for that, as Disney's acquisition of 21st Century Fox continues to slowly push forward. Both Disney and Fox are putting some separation between their releases as 2019 is stacked. The most notable of these changes came from the next movie in the X-Men franchise, which was originally going to release on February 14. Two days after the first trailer came out, the movie was pushed back to June 7. This happened because another Fox movie, Alita: Battle Angel was pushed from December 21, 2018, a week after another CG fantasy/adventure, Mortal Engines, was set to release. Additionally, Jungle Cruise was pushed, today, to July, 2020.Everything between 21st Century Fox and Disney is expected to finalize soon, and according to THR, Dark Phoenix could be first film under the Disney banner. Additionally, Disney's plan is to release everything Fox already has in production or wrapping up.After months of shifting dates, here's what the post-Fox-buyout release schedule looks like for Disney. There are a few other dates, which aren't included on the list, where Disney has a date saved as an "Untitled Project." There are plenty of those titles for 2020, which we all know will be numerous Marvel Studios films and at least on Star Wars movie. The Combined Disney and Fox release schedule for 2019 and beyond:2019:The Kid Who Would Be King (Jan. 25)Alita: Battle Angel (Feb. 14)Captain Marvel (Mar. 8)Dumbo (Mar. 29)Avengers 4 (May 3)Aladdin (May 24)Dark Phoenix (Jun. 7) -Possibly first Fox movie under the Disney bannerToy Story 4 (Jun. 21)Spider-Man: Far From Home (Jul 5)Stuber (Jul. 12)The Lion King (Jul. 19)New Mutants (Aug. 2)Artemis Fowl (Aug. 9)Spies in Disguise (Sept. 13)The Woman in the Window (Oct. 4)Noelle (Nov. 7)Kingsman 3 (Nov. 8)Frozen 2 (Nov 27)Star Wars: Episode IX (Dec. 20)The Call of the Wild (Dec. 25)2020:Mulan (Mar. 27)Maleficent (May 29)Jungle Cruise (Jul. 24)Death on the Nile--sequel to Murder on the Orient Express (Oct. 2)Avatar 2 (Dec. 18)Info from Gamespot.com

Jade Raymond has departed EA Motive, the studio she helped found, making way for another executive to take on additional responsibilities. VentureBeat reports that Samantha Ryan is currently running EA's mobile, Maxis, and BioWare studios, and will add Motive to her portfolio. That puts Ryan in charge of all North American studios except Respawn and EA Sports.EA Motive has been at work on an unnamed Star Wars title, and it most recently helped DICE on development of Star Wars Battlefront 2. That Star Wars game is the same one Amy Hennig had been at work on before leaving the company upon the closure of Visceral. Raymond had said in an interview with Game Informer that her studio was planning to use a lot of the material produced by Visceral, but to pivot more towards "player agency.""EA Studios is focused on bringing more creative new games and content to players," an EA spokesperson told GameSpot in a statement. "Laura Miele and her team have taken several steps internally to better support our game makers in this pursuit, such as expanding Samantha Ryan's portfolio to lead additional studios, including Motive. Samantha is known for driving creative design and supporting game teams so they can bring their visions to life. She is a deeply experienced game-maker with a gameography that spans from The Sims to Batman: Arkham City to No One Lives Forever to the highly-anticipated Anthem."With this change, Jade Raymond has decided to leave Electronic Arts. In her time with us, Jade helped to build great teams, and our projects underway at Motive and other studios continue unchanged. We're appreciative of all of her efforts, and we wish Jade all the best as she moves on to her next adventure. We are driving greater creativity into everything we do across EA Studios, and we'll look forward to sharing more in the months to come."Respawn is working on its own Star Wars game, Jedi Fallen Order. It's expected in holiday 2019.Info from Gamespot.com

November is right around the corner, and with October ending, Hulu subscribers are probably wondering about the next batch of releases from the service. Starting on the first of next month, there is a ton of new content coming to the service; however, there are plenty of movies leaving as well. The first of the month is when Hulu dumps plenty of new movies, including 28 Days Later. In the 2002 film, director Danny Boyle puts a new spin on the zombie franchise by having the infected run, which created a terrifying atmosphere for the movie's characters and the audience watching. Sure, it's not technically a zombie movie--as those afflicted with the disease become filled with rage and are reduced to a primal state--but it's still one of the best mass-infection movies of the 21st century.Additionally, all three movies in the original Ocean's franchise hit the streaming service, along with the James Bond film Dr. No, the ridiculous alien invasion movie The Faculty, and the super-extreme XXX. All of these movies will be available to watch on November 1.On November 15, Hulu is rolling out some Christmas movies to prepare you for the upcoming holiday season, including A Christmas Kiss II and A Puppy For Christmas. No, we've never heard of these movies either, but who wouldn't want a puppy for Christmas?November 30 is the date when lots of movies are leaving Hulu, so you may want to take note and check out movies like Escape from New York, American Psycho, and The Terminator. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 recently opened its Black Market cosmetic shop on PlayStation 4, quickly followed by a special Halloween stream of items. These debuted on PS4 already and will be available on PC and Xbox One on October 27. This first event likely gives us an idea of what to expect from these holiday-themed streams in the future. The limited-time event stream is a supplement to the general Contraband stream, which offers a series of free cosmetic items that are unlocked through game progression. They'll rotate roughly every two months. The initial one, called Operation First Strike, offers new Blackout characters, signature weapons, Specialist outfits, tags, and gestures. The Contraband and events streams will be joined by a paid tier of items joining the shop in November. So far Activision and Treyarch have not detailed what we can expect for the pricing of those items.Meanwhile, Treyarch is working to improve crashing and stability bugs, most recently with a patch that fixed several crashes across Zombies and Multiplayer modes. The studio also says it will be prioritizing network performance over the next few weeks. This first round of Halloween cosmetics includes some ghastly war paints and playful gestures, along with a jack-o-lantern spray. Check them out below.Info from Gamespot.com

Treyarch has been rolling out updates for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on a near-daily basis since the shooter launched earlier this month. On top of the title's latest patch, which makes stability improvements to all modes across PS4, Xbox One, and PC, the developer has discussed other aspects of the game it will continue to refine in the coming weeks. In a post on Reddit, Treyarch shared with fans its plans to further optimize Black Ops 4's network performance. "We're constantly working to optimize the game, and particularly network performance, to ensure the highest quality online experience for our players," the developer wrote. "Now that we're past the initial launch of the game, we are focusing on fine-tuning network performance around the globe, using the real-world data that we have collected."Over the course of the next two weeks, we will roll out several updates to our network setup that will continue to improve upon the experience of our players since launch. As we have always said, launch is just the beginning, and we're committed to making Black Ops 4 the best-supported game we've ever delivered."The latest Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 update resolved crashes and other issues across Multiplayer, Blackout, and Zombies modes. This follows the patch Treyarch rolled out last week, which made various fixes to Zombies mode. The developer says it is also investigating other Zombies bugs and will provide an update on those issues "in the coming days." You can read the patch notes on Reddit.Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has been a critical and commercial success for Activision and Treyarch, breaking the publisher's record for "biggest day-one digital release." It has also been well received by critics. GameSpot awarded it an 8/10 in our Black Ops 4 review. Critic Kallie Plagge wrote, "Sure, there isn't a traditional single-player campaign, but with the depth and breadth of what is there, Black Ops 4 doesn't need it."Info from Gamespot.com

Change is always afoot in Fortnite, as evidenced by the recent launch of a new update to the game that was quickly followed to an adjustment that sped up the Battle Bus. With Season 6 ongoing and a Halloween event possibly on the way, Week 4 of Battle Royale is underway, and what that means for you is that there are new challenges available to complete. These make for an easy way to progress your Battle Pass and earn skins and cosmetics, like this season's new pets. As always, while anyone can do the challenges in the Free section, four of the week's challenges will only be available to players who have paid for a Battle Pass.In the free section, players will need to use a Port-a-Fort or Port-a-Fortress (currently disabled) in five different matches, search an Ammo Box in seven different named locations, and then ring the doorbell of a house with an opponent inside in three different matches. On the paid Battle Pass side, there's a mixture of simple and tricky challenges to do. The first two involves landing at Greasy Grove and dancing on a Clock Tower (find it in Tilted Towers), followed by two other locations (a pink tree and porcelain throne). The remaining two challenges task players with getting a score of three or more at five different Shooting Galleries, and also killing three enemies near one of the Corrupted areas. Take a look at all the challenges, as well as their rewards, below.Fortnite's 6.10 update is now available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. It adds the Quadcrasher into the mix, and this two-seater vehicle is pretty handy for smashing through structures thanks to its boost function. "You build boost just by driving," Epic Games explains. "[Then] unleash that speed with the hotkey once you've filled your boost meter."The patch also allows those playing on a PlayStation 4 Pro connected to a 4K TV to display the game at 1440p instead of 1080p. The other major new addition is the new "Events" tab, where players will find in-game tournaments. Read the full Fortnite 6.10 update patch notes for more detailsFortnite's popularity continues to soar, and the latest celebrity to be drawn to it is Ellen DeGeneres, who had well known streamer Ninja on her talk show. As one of the most well-known Fortnite players around, Ninja was brought in to teach Ellen how to play which, if we're honest, didn't go well, but they seemed to be having fun and that's what matters. Epic has begun teasing an apparent Halloween event for Fortnite, titled Fortnitemares. The event will kick off this Wednesday, October 24 and last through Monday, November 26. It promises "spooky rewards" for completing special Fortnitemares challenges, and uses a variation on the Season 6 theme, "Darkness has risen."One such reward could be a skin that Epic appears to be teasing through Twitter. Three images have been revealed so far, and at least two of them look like they fit together like a puzzle. The Fortnitemares rewards will probably go through both the Battle Royale and Save the World modes, since Epic has announced that you can win a couple of skins by logging onto Save the World during the event. That same announcement gave word that the Save the World mode, which had been planned for release as a free-to-play mode this year, won't be switching to free after all. That means to earn any Fortnitemare rewards you'll need to be a founder, but the studio is offering those packages at half-price.The whole season is fairly creepy, and its biggest Battle Pass reward is the Dire Wolf skin that changes you into more and more of a werewolf as you level it up. We've also seen a slow drip of special Halloween skins. For more Halloween events, check out our Halloween roundup.Costumes and dancing, Partner up, be wise. The Legendary Psychic Pokemon Mewtwo made its debut in standard Raid Battles last month after initially being limited to EX Raids, giving many Pokemon Go players their first opportunity to capture one. If you haven't yet done so, your time is running out, as Mewtwo is set to leave Raids very soon. The Legendary Psychic Pokemon is scheduled to depart from the game at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET on October 23, so you have until then to encounter one at Gyms. As is the case with all other Raid Bosses, you'll first need to team up with other players in-person and battle it. If you manage to defeat the Legendary, you'll earn a handful of Premier Balls and the chance to capture it.Mewtwo remains one of the most popular--and powerful--Legendary Pokemon in the entire series, making it a formidable challenge. On top of that, one of the possible Charged Attacks it can know is Focus Blast, which is super-effective against many Pokemon that would typically have an advantage over it. Your best bet is to challenge Mewtwo using Bug, Dark, and Ghost Pokemon such as Scizor, Tyranitar, and Gengar.A lot has been happening in Pokemon Go as of late. Earlier this week, Niantic rolled out the first wave of Gen 4 Pokemon, including the Sinnoh starters Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup. There are also a handful of region-exclusive Gen 4 monsters, which have only been appearing in certain parts of the world. No Gen 4 Legendaries have debuted in Pokemon Go just yet, but one--Giratina--was teased at the end of the game's latest trailer, suggesting it could be on its way fairly soon.Pokemon Go's latest Community Day event took place on Sunday, October 21. During it, players had a much easier time of finding Beldum and hatching Pokemon. They were also able to learn the new attack Meteor Mash by evolving Beldum into a Metagross during the event. Bethesda has released a statement to address the developer's community just prior to the launch of the first Fallout 76 beta. This first beta comes to Xbox One on October 23 at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET and ends four hours later. In the statement, Bethesda highlights just how different Fallout 76 is from the previous games in the franchise. The developer cites the inspiration for Fallout 76 comes from wanting to try something new after feeling as if every previous Bethesda games had "similar DNA." That said, Bethesda doesn't want to alienate the fanbase its spent building over the years. "Our worlds, whether it be Fallout, Elder Scrolls, or the coming Starfield, are important places to us," Bethesda wrote. "We do everything we can to treat them with care. We know they mean just as much to you." Bethesda also acknowledged that it's treating Fallout 76 a little bit differently from past Fallout titles. Before, the company said that its employees take a small break after the release of a game. With Fallout 76, Bethesda is looking at the game's launch as if it were the starting line. "Given what we're doing with 76, we know we're opening everyone up to all new spectacular issues none of us have encountered," Bethesda wrote. "Some we're aware of, such as areas where performance needs to improve with lots of players."Even though the first beta is exclusive to Xbox One, Bethesda is following up with another beta for PS4 and PC on October 30. Although the beta periods are only for a few hours, each one will offer the full Fallout 76 experience. You can only participate in the beta by pre-ordering Fallout 76. Fallout 76 releases on November 14 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.Info from Gamespot.com
