The Monster Hunter series is known for its loot, as players defeat enormous beasts for parts so they can craft some stylish duds and weapons from their bones and skins. Our first look at the upcoming Monster Hunter film starring Milla Jovovich and Ron Perlman shows that aspect is definitely making the transition to the big screen. In the movie still shared by Sony, we see Jovovich and costar Tony Jaa dressed in some post-apocalyptic leathers and metals. But it's Jaa's weaponry that really catches the eye. In one hand he's brandishing a massive sword that appears to be the Giant Jawblade, while the other hand holds a more obscured bone-bow.That signals that the movie will be true to the series in at least one aspect: the concept of hunters crafting their gear out of the fallen remains of monsters is alive and well. Presumably after completing a hunt they won't have to farm it a dozen more times to get the full set.Your first look at #MonsterHunterMovie 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀 pic.twitter.com/x4B7fXYypH — Sony (@Sony) November 20, 2018Jovovich plays Artemis, a UN military commander who gets transported to a different universe crawling with beasts. She teams up with Hunter (Jaa) to close the portal and keep the monsters from coming to earth. Along the way they'll meet up with familiar characters from the universe like the Admiral. It's being directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, who also directed his wife Jovovich in adaptations of Capcom's Resident Evil franchise. A release date has not been announced.Info from Gamespot.com

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate features a very full roster of every Smash character ever, along with some new additions. One conspicuously absent member of the roster is Waluigi, the Luigi doppelganger who has featured in several Mario sports games. The fan outcry has been ongoing, and rest assured, Nintendo has heard you.Speaking to Nintendo of Canada's Andrew Collins, Okay Cool noted the fan campaign to put Waluigi in the game, including an appearance in the Washington Post. Collins made it clear the company has seen your pleas and passion."I think it's great when something builds naturally because, you know, as a marketer, when you have something that goes viral like that it's brilliant," he said. "You can't buy that. You can't create it. And when the fans do something like that, it's amazing. But it's so good to see from a passionate side of things. And let's face it, it's funny. I've seen some of the photos. I've seen some of the artwork that people have created, and it's fantastic to see their passion."Obviously, this isn't a promise that Waluigi will actually come to the game, but an acknowledgement from Nintendo that it has seen the response is more than nothing. That may be enough to prompt the company to add him as downloadable content.Nintendo has already announced the addition of five more fighters are coming as DLC, along with the free Piranha Plant DLC for early purchasers. Each pack will cost $6 and come with one new fighter, one new stage, and a variety of music tracks. They will be available as a bundle for $25, which will also net you an outfit based on Rex from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The roster for these DLC fighters is already set, so if Waluigi is ultimately destined to Smash with the rest of his compatriots, the plans are already in-motion.The last round of announced characters included Incineroar from Pokemon and Ken from Street Fighter, and you can see them in action here. Smash Bros. Ultimate will hit on December 7. For more details check out our pre-order guide.Info from Gamespot.com

One of the best deals going this holiday season is a PlayStation 4 bundle that includes the hit game Spider-Man for a cool $200. Though many retailers listed it as available on Black Friday, it's already available almost everywhere, so you can get started early. Even Target, which listed it as a doorbuster exclusively on Black Friday, has already activated the marked down price. If you already have a PS4, you can still grab the game on the cheap. You can get the game for $40 at Ebay or the PlayStation Store, or for $52 at Amazon. You can also check out some of the best places to get a PS4 this year, and the strange absence of many deals on a PS4 Pro.These sale prices come right alongside the launch of its second piece of downloadable content, Turf Wars. It's the second chapter of the ongoing City That Never Sleeps storyline, which began with The Heist. In that chapter Spidey teamed up with Black Cat to take on the mob boss Hammerhead with some very personal stakes. After the first game ended on a cliffhanger, this second chapter continues the story of Hammerhead's war on the other crime bosses. The third chapter, Silver Lining, will launch in December."The feeling of embodying Spidey and using his abilities is astonishing, and the time spent on exploring its major characters help make its story feel heartfelt, despite superhero bombast," wrote critic Edmond Tran in GameSpot's Spider-Man PS4 review. "There have been open-world Spider-Man games before, but none so riveting and full of personality, none that explore and do justice to this many facets of the universe. Insomniac has created a superior Spider-Man experience that leaves a lasting impression, one that has you longing for just one more swing around New York City, even after the credits roll."Info from Gamespot.com

Update: Sure enough, we've now gotten a deal, though it may not last for long. Over on Ebay, a highly rated seller is offering a PS4 Pro with Spider-Man for $405, effectively tossing in the game for $5 over the price of the system itself. It may not be a discount on the hardware, but all things considered, it's a solid offer. If you're only interested in the game, you can get Spider-Man for $40 right now. GameStop, the last of the big game retailers to release its ad, has now done so, and there's also no PS4 Pro listed there, making Ebay your best--and possibly only--option for the console. The original story follows.Black Friday 2018 is right around the corner and multiple retailers--including Best Buy, Target, and Walmart--have already released the type of deals that people can expect during the holiday. Oddly enough, though stores have announced discounts for the PS4 Slim and PSVR, no Black Friday deals have been scheduled for the PS4 Pro.This is especially puzzling in the wake of a year that has seen the release of popular PS4 exclusives like God of War and Marvel's Spider-Man--titles that support enhanced visuals and performance on the Pro. In 2017--another good year for PS4 exclusives like Horizon Zero Dawn, Persona 5, and Nier: Automata--several retailers had discounts for the Pro during Black Friday. So announcements for the Pro could pop up next week when we're closer to the holiday. For now, if you're hoping to buy a PS4 this Black Friday, you'll have to settle on the PS4 Slim + Marvel's Spider-Man bundle that's available at select retailers. We've compiled all the current Black Friday 2018 PS4 console deals below. Prices vary from store to store, so plan accordingly when going out to shop this year. Also remember, retailers open and close for Black Friday at different times.PlayStation 4 Slim 1TB + Marvel's Spider-Man Black Friday 2018 Deals$199 -- Walmart$199 -- Sam's Club$200 -- Best Buy$200 -- Target$200 -- GameStopIf you're looking for more deals for PS4 consoles, games, and accessories, then check out some of our other Black Friday guides.Black Friday 2018 PS4 Shopping GuideEvery Early Black Friday PS4 Console, Game, And Accessory DealBest Black Friday PS4 Console, Game, And Accessory DealsThe Best Places To Buy A PS4 This Black FridayThe Best Places To Buy PS Plus This Black FridayBest Black Friday PS4, Xbox One, And Nintendo Switch Game DealsInfo from Gamespot.com

Grand Theft Auto V may be over five years old now, but the game is still consistently one of PS4 and Xbox One's best-selling titles every month. It's also one of the most commercially successful video games of all time, shipping more than 100 million units worldwide. If you're one of the seemingly few remaining people who have yet to pick up the title (or plan on giving it to someone this holiday season), you'll be able to find some good deals on it this Black Friday. Many retailers have already begun sharing their Black Friday ads ahead of the big shopping day, giving you the opportunity to scope out all of the sales before embarking on your retail expedition. Following its early release through EA/Origin Access and the game's special editions, Battlefield V is now available on all platforms. If you're just diving in, you'll be able to grab the day-one update outlined below.EA and DICE have issued patch notes for a day-one update to Battlefield V. It's out already for players who have gained early access through EA's subscription services or a special edition, and it's targeted mainly at a handful of stability issues and bugs. The change log details the fixes. It fixes an issue in which team sizes could be very uneven, makes improvements to matchmaking to reduce disconnects, and addresses an error that would make the revive functionality stop working, among many others. In particular, a few distinct Airborne issues have been addressed by this patch, along with one in War Stories that would prevent you from collecting Letters. The patch has a couple of platform-specific notes too. On Xbox One the patch improves how it resumes when you use the Instant-On function, while on PC it enables RTX ray tracing if your graphic card supports it. The studio also encourages feedback, which you can give through its forums or the Answers HQ.Battlefield V reviews have started to roll out in advance of its release next week. GameSpot's own early impressions suggest there's a lot more to explore before the final verdict, but it's off to a good start."As of now, it feels as if Battlefield V is a variation on a well-established theme. It maintains the series tradition of grand spectacle with incredible sound design, impactful weaponry, and large-scale multiplayer chaos," wrote Michael Higham. "There's a lot more to dig into, like the fortification system, squad reinforcements perks, and how destruction may change map dynamics, and spending more time with the game will paint a better picture. At the end of the day, it's still Battlefield, and Battlefield V is shaping up to be a good one at that."Change ListFixed an issue that could result in a very uneven number of players at the start of a round.Made improvements to matchmaking with a full squad which should result in less disconnects. In some cases, the revive functionality would suddenly stop to function for all of the players on a server. This has now been fixed.Further improvements to game client stability have been made.In the Airborne game mode, spawn protection has been added when attackers spawn into planes. The planes are no longer as vulnerable to AA fire as they used to be at longer distances.Fixed an issue in Airborne where the bomb carriers could finish arming the objective even though they were dead.Players can no longer shoot down airplanes too quickly in Airborne, which could result in the attackers not being able to spawn. In War Stories, players are no longer able to collect Letters while playing offline due to them not being able to update the persistence counters, which requires an online connection.Fixed an issue where a weapon would disappear on the weapon selection screen.Fixed an issue in Frontlines mode on Devastation where the bomb in some rare cases spawned inside a wall.Fixed an issue which made the menus unusable when cancelling a matchmaking session.Fixed an issue with the lens sight alignment on the MP34 weapon. Xbox One OnlyImproved how the game resumes when using the Xbox One Instant-On function. PC OnlyRTX ray tracing can now be enabled with graphics cards that support this function.Info from Gamespot.com

We've reached the week of Black Friday 2018, and among countless other things that will be on sale, a few stores will be selling Xbox Game Pass at a discount. The subscription service allows you to access a vast library of Xbox One and Xbox 360 games. As of right now, there are only three Black Friday deals for Xbox Game Pass, but they're both pretty good. This Black Friday, Best Buy is offering a special 12-month subscription for $70. It's the best Black Friday Xbox Game Pass deal if you plan on using the service for the long-term. Although Best Buy has launched many of its deals early for My Best Buy members, this is one that you'll apparently have to wait until later in the week to take advantage of.If you're only looking to try out Game Pass--and you want a bit longer than the free 14-day trial--then both the Microsoft Store and Xbox Marketplace are selling a one-month subscription for $1 on Black Friday.Similar to how buying a Netflix subscription gives you access to hundreds of TV shows and movies, paying for Xbox Game Pass unlocks select Xbox One and Xbox 360 games that you can download onto your One, One S, or One X console. You can keep these games for as long as you continue paying for the subscription, and Microsoft updates the list of available titles every month. Marvel's Spider-Man is a critical and commercial success, but if you were holding out to web up a Spidey discount, today is your day. As part of Ebay's ongoing pre-Black Friday sales, you can get the swinging superhero for $40--the lowest price we've seen from the coming sales season. [Update: Ebay has outlined all of its Black Friday deals, but you can take advantage of at least one nice offer right now, as this $40 pricing for Spider-Man has returned. Grab it here.]Like many of Ebay's sale items, this is likely limited by time and supply. You can pick it up at the sale price here. You may have to wait a bit for delivery, though; as of time of writing, delivery is estimated December 5-10. This joins Ebay's line-up of "Better Than Black Friday" deals, which includes discounts on other recent games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Black Ops 4.Spider-Man sold record numbers for Sony, and its success helped Sony's bottom line so much that the company as a whole raised its profit forecast. This Ebay deal is the only discount we've seen this season on the standalone game, though Sony is offering a big discount on the game bundled with a new PS4 console as well for Black Friday.Insomniac and Sony just detailed the second DLC pack Turf Wars, part of the ongoing serialized story The City That Never Sleeps. It's set to drop next week, on November 20, with new story missions, sidequests, and of course, Spidey suits."The feeling of embodying Spidey and using his abilities is astonishing, and the time spent on exploring its major characters help make its story feel heartfelt, despite superhero bombast," critic Edmond Tran said in GameSpot's Spider-Man review. "There have been open-world Spider-Man games before, but none so riveting and full of personality, none that explore and do justice to this many facets of the universe."Info from Gamespot.com
