Alongside the Week 6 Ascendant Challenge, Bungie's weekly reset in Destiny 2: Forsaken has provided a new bounty from Spider that rewards Powerful gear. This one is a target we've seen before, but the mission you'll complete is in a different location than the previous instance. Here's what to do to complete Wanted: Silent Fang.As always with the big bounty offered by Spider, you'll get provided the info on where you need to go, thanks to an Adventure marker stationed outside of your Lost Sector destination on the designated planet. If you've done Silent Fang before, though, you might remember him in a different location. Silent Fang is still found in the EDZ, with the Adventure bearing a recommended Power level of 540. But whereas Silent Fang's last appearance was in Winding Cove (and before that, The Sludge), you'll find him this time in Sunken Isles, in the Skydock IV Lost Sector.First, of course, you need to buy the bounty from Spider for five Ghost Fragments, which you can find from completing Tangled Shore bounties, patrols and Public Events. Once you have the bounty, go to the EDZ's Sunken Isles landing zone and zip underneath the big Cabal starship dock to activate the Adventure. This will then have you make your way through the Lost Sector, and eventually you'll reach Silent Fang, who is a giant Fallen Captain. The one wrinkle for killing Silent Fang is that he spends most of the fight shielded, thanks to several weird Fallen machines scattered around the area. To take them out, look for glowing Exploding Shanks. Killing them will drop exploding orbs you can pick up and throw at the glowing machines to destroy them. Each time you wreck a machine, Silent Fang's shield will drop, allowing you to do some damage. You'll want powerful direct damage Supers and weapons that can do big damage in the limited window you have to hurt Silent Fang. Sleeper Simulant is always a hit, and the new Exotic Thunderlord can also be helpful. You'll also want to stay as mobile as possible through the fight, as lots of Fallen enemies will appear to attack you in the tight room where you find Silent Fang, including a big Servitor who can be pretty annoying. The Lost Sector chest at the end is unlikely to provide any good rewards, but completing the Spider bounty provides you with a piece of Powerful gear.Info from Gamespot.com

The release of Fallout 76 has also seen the full launch of the multiplayer game's real-money shop, the Atomic Shop. Bethesda previewed the store during Fallout 76's many beta sessions, but with one key piece of information missing: how much it would cost in real money to purchase Atoms, the store's premium currency. Now that the game's out, looking into the ability to buy Atoms with real money reveals that, like most premium currencies, you get a discount the more you buy. At the lowest purchase tier, 500 Atoms will run you $5; $10 gets you 1,100 Atoms; $20 gets 2,400 Atoms; and $40 is good for 50,000 Atoms. But if you're looking to spend the least amount of real money in the store, the exchange rate is $1 per 100 Atoms. The Atomic Shop, which is accessible from Fallout 76's main menu once you've created a character and stepped out of Vault 76 at the start of the game, won't get you anything that will boost your ability to survive in the Wasteland or succeed in battling other Wastelanders. Instead, it focuses on customization items, like clothing, cosmetic items for your CAMP, Photomode poses, skins for your Pip-Boy and Power Armor, and emotes. It's worth noting that you can earn small batches of Atoms without paying for them by completing in-game challenges of all sorts, some of which reset on a daily and weekly basis. You get 10 Atoms just for stepping out of Vault 76, for instance; Daily challenges are good for 10 Atoms each, and include activities like scrapping a piece of chest armor; and Weekly challenges can net you as much as 40 Atoms, which is what you'd get for taking five Photomode shots near Vault 76. There are a lot of these challenges, so while the earnings might come a little slowly, they at least provide a lot of ways to get a little extra currency to help you keep your money in your wallet. As for the Atomic Shop and its goods, prices vary widely even within the specific departments in the store, but in general things seem fairly pricey. In the clothing section, you can pick up the Red Shirt and Slacks clothing set for 250 Atoms, but the striped Two-Piece Pajama set will set you back 600 Atoms, the slick Vampire Suit goes for 800 Atoms, and the retro Rocket Suit costs 1,200 Atoms. Prices are similarly steep for customizing your CAMP building materials and buying skins and paint jobs for your Pip-Boy.Your money goes a bit further when purchasing poses for Photomode, but those get expensive in a hurry as well. The fairly simple Wave pose is just 150 Atoms, but the Rock Out pose, which comes with a guitar and microphone stand, will set you back 600 Atoms. Cosmetic accoutrements for your character's face are some of the more cost-effective investments, with the department's tattoos and faceprint customizations all running 250 Atoms. The cheapest set of things in the store are the icons, which all cost 50 Atoms.Overall, the point is that if you're hoping to grab lots of customization items from the Atomic Shop without spending real money, you're going to have your work cut out for you. If you completed all the currently available challenges, which span seven different categories, you'd only be 640 Atoms richer. Tuning in for Daily and Weekly challenges will be essential if you're hoping to keep your real cash while still gussying up your Wastelander and your CAMP in-game.If you wanted to purchase everything in the store, you'd tally up a tab of a cool 29,160 Atoms. In real money terms, that's $240--but you'd have 840 Atoms to spare, at least.Info from Gamespot.com

We've updated this post with the details for the third and final step of Destiny 2's Murder Mystery quest, which unlocked on November 13. Here's what you need to know to complete all three steps and claim Thunderlord.Destiny 2's Festival of the Lost has ended, but there's still one piece of Destiny's Halloween-themed event to go. It's a murder mystery quest line Bungie teased at the start of the Festival, in which players are tasked with figuring out what happened to Master Ives, the Cryptarch formerly seen in the Reef back in the first Destiny.Ives' death is both a story point and a quest to get a new Exotic weapon. That gun is Thunderlord, a lightning-slinging machine gun from the original Destiny that, until now, hadn't shown up in the sequel. Unlocking it is a multi-step but relatively low-level quest, whose first step unlocked on October 30, the second on November 6, and the final on November 13. With that last step, you'll return to some familiar territory if you've played Destiny 1: Earth's Cosmodrome in Old Russia. To start it, head to Amanda Holliday in the Tower, where you'll receive Master Ives' journal. The pursuit item is colored gold, like other Exotic weapons quests, and requires players to search out the missing pages from Ives' diary out in the world. Here's how to solve the mystery and get Thunderlord.Step 1: The Crytarch's JournalClearing that first step is actually pretty easy to accomplish. There are 10 pages to acquire, and players can get them either by finding Legendary engrams in various activities--including Gambit, the Crucible, Strikes, and everything else you already do in Destiny 2--or from killing tougher Fallen enemies in the EDZ on Earth.Actually snagging all the pages is an easy feat to knock out if you head to the EDZ. You're looking for Fallen with orange-colored health bars, which are otherwise known as Elite bad guys. You need the orange enemies in particular; you won't get pages from Majors, who have yellow health bars, like the ones designated as high-value targets, for instance. The quickest way to find Elite Fallen to kill in the EDZ is to find a public event and join it. The Glimmer Mining event that takes place in various places in the EDZ is a solid bet, especially if you knock it up to its Heroic level. You won't get a page for every Elite you kill, but the drop rate is pretty high--one or two public events should do it.If you don't feel like messing around on Earth, you can also spend some shards at the Cryptarch in the Tower to quickly gather up the Legendary engrams you need to complete the step. That method will cost you 250 Legendary shards if you buy 10 engrams to get all 10 pages. Given how easy it is to get the pages in the EDZ or by earning Legendaries organically, though, you probably don't need to waste the shards.Step 2: Hunting The FallenThe second step is almost as quick and easy as the first. It returns you to the EDZ, this time to complete four Lost Sectors. You'll start with a batch of three that need cleaning out: Atrium, Widow's Walk, and Terminus East. If you're not familiar with the names, those are the three Lost Sectors located in the Trostland area of the EDZ.You'll find Atrium in the church where Devrim Kay hangs out, Widow's Walk in the northwest corner of the area, and Terminus East in the northeast corner. Once you've wrecked the Major enemies in all three, you'll get a new step that directs you to yet another Lost Sector, called Whispered Falls.Jump on your Sparrow and drive west to the Outskirts area, and look for the Lost Sector up in the hills in the west end of the area. It's north of the narrower portion of the map you drive through to access Winding Cove.Kill the Major in Whispered Falls and you'll need to wait for Amanda Holliday to summon you back to the Tower. She'll eventually give you new coordinates, which will send you to the third and final stage of the quest.Step 3: Return To The CosmodromeYour final step for the mission unlocks when you're prompted to return to Amanda Holliday. She'll identify a strange teleporter in Earth's European Dead Zone you should go check out--it's actually a Mission that starts you on the final step of the quest. To get there, warp into the Winding Cove location in the EDZ, then ride east toward the Outskirts. You'll find the mission start in the northern part of the canyon in the Whispered Falls Lost Sector. Fight your way inside to reach the teleporter.Starting the mission warps you back to the Cosmodrome, the place where Destiny players first started way back in the beginning of the original game. You're basically following the path of the very first Destiny mission, fighting through Fallen into the Wall around the Cosmodrome. Keep following the mission markers until you get inside, where you'll face a big battle with a Fallen Captain called Kikliss, Murderer, and a huge batch of minion enemies. This is the toughest fight of the mission by far, so bring your best guns and try to keep moving. Smaller Fallen enemies will continually spawn into the battle, so Supers that take out lots of enemies at once or are good for crowd control will help. Once you damage Kikliss enough, a giant Servitor will join the fight, which makes it even more annoying. Try to keep space between you and Kikliss while you focus your fire on the Servitor, since it can make other enemies invincible--including the boss.Killing the Servitor should make it a little easier to take down Kikliss, which is your main objective for the mission. Once you do, you'll be prompted to fight your way back out the Cosmodrome. Back outside, you'll get a message from Amanda Holliday suggesting that this could be your last time back in the Cosmodrome, and you'll see an objective prompt reading, "Leave The Cosmodrome?" It seems Destiny 2 is suggesting there might be more secrets to find hidden in Russia, so take your time in leaving to look around. We haven't found whatever secret the game is hinting at just yet, but we'll update this guide when we do.If you approach the teleporter near where you started, you'll be sent back to orbit and prompted to return to Holliday in the Tower. When you do, she'll wonder about what the Fallen who killed Master Ives were really after, but she'll also thank you for avenging his death. Your final reward is a "trinket" she found in his stuff, which is none other than the sparking machine gun Thunderlord. The Exotic goes in your Heavy weapon slot, and carries the "Reign Havoc" perk, which causes lightning strikes from the sky as you rack up kills with bullets.Info from Gamespot.com

Things get dark in Turf War, the second episode of Marvel's Spider-Man's DLC campaign. After the relatively lighter and slower investigation into Black Cat's plans with the mob in The Heist, the first of three expansions that make up a campaign called The City That Never Sleeps, Spider-Man finds himself thrown into a full-on gang war at the start of the second. Turf War is The Empire Strikes Back of the campaign, and throughout the two or so hours of story missions trying to stop the powerful mob boss Hammerhead, Spider-Man is completely embattled and potentially outmatched.Turf War doesn't pull its punches. Cops are dying, gangsters are threatening witnesses and openly committing murders, and Spider-Man is struggling to keep up with it all. The basic structure of the game remains the same--there are missions scattered around New York as part of the story campaign, and in between them you can wander around doing whatever you feel like--but the nature of Turf War makes every objective feel dangerously time-sensitive. When Hammerhead's men threaten to kill an informant, you'll want to swing across town to stop them. When gangsters prepare to attack police convoys and take their weapons, you'll be concerned that your presence is needed. This chapter is at its best when it feels like Spider-Man really is at war--and he's losing. It helps that Turf War feels significantly more challenging than vanilla Spider-Man. Another new batch of enemies, these ones wearing jetpacks and sporting shields, join the array of enemies from both the base game and The Heist to make for some pretty dicey encounters. More than one fight in Turf War will put seasoned Spider-Men through their paces, especially if they're a bit rusty from the month off between the two DLC chapters. Scraping through some fights against an extremely well-outfitted enemy as Spider-Man swings madly from one crisis to another perfectly fits the tone of Turf War. Spider-Man PS4 is at its best when it's taking close, intimate looks at the game's characters, and in Turf War the game casts that spotlight on Yuri Watanabe, Spidey's high-ranking friend in the NYPD. Yuri is operating with a personal vendetta against Hammerhead that builds in the early part of the DLC, and as she and Spider-Man try to stop them, his reliance on her authority and her reliance on his superpowers are weaknesses that strain their relationship and have serious consequences.Yuri saw some characterization in the base game, but she was largely a voice on Spidey's radio advising him where to go. Here we spend more time with Yuri as the battle between the gangsters rages and she and Peter Parker grapple with their own exploited personal failings. You might wrap up Turf War's story campaign in a couple hours, but thanks to the frantic pace and challenging difficulty, those hours will feel fraught. The speed and challenge bring a bit of a different pace and tone to Marvel's Spider-Man, the variety of which makes Turf War new and fresh, while the dark focus on character channels the best parts of the game's main story. As you clear Turf War's campaign, you'll also find a small handful of new open-world events to New York to complete, mostly just to give you a little more to do in this chapter. Like in The Heist, there's not a lot to them and you've gotten a taste of some or all of them before now, but they provide a few solid reasons to hang around the game after completing the story chapter. The gang war leads to new open-world crimes that are a bit different from the generic set that came in The Heist, which is welcome given that you'll need to clear quite a few of them to hit 100 percent completion in this chapter.Screwball is also back with more challenges, some of which have new wrinkles added that make them a bit tougher than their vanilla counterparts. And there are new Hammerhead-themed base-clearing challenges, which can be pretty tough thanks to new locations and new enemies to fight. As with The Heist, it's nice to have a reason to jump back into Spider-Man PS4 and mess around in its world, but its Insomniac's story and characterization that once again are making Spider-Man something worth revisiting. Turf War excellently ratchets up the stakes on Spidey and forces him to deal with a whole host of new personal and interpersonal issues. Together with its predecessor chapter, Turf War suggests there are plenty of stories Insomniac could continue to cover in Spider-Man, and that they'll all be worth swinging back to New York to experience.Info from Gamespot.com

They don't call it the Wasteland for nothing in the Fallout franchise. The series' nuclear war-ravaged world is complete with things like mutated creatures, radiation-soaked zombies, and plenty of other frightening creatures that hunt anybody foolish enough to go wandering around. But despite the hardships of the post-apocalypse, the Fallout series has also always had its survivors, whether they're farmers learning to cultivate an irradiated world, organizations hoping to rebuild society, or warlords trying to rule whatever's left.Fallout 76 takes a different approach. Rather than the usual single-player RPG that finds players leaving an underground Vault to explore the Wasteland and meet the people who live in it, Fallout 76 removes NPCs and replaces them with other players. The result is a Fallout game that feels a bit strange. It's hard to shake a feeling of loneliness while playing a game devoid of characters. Even though you're surrounded by other players from the start, there's a feeling that West Virginia is already dead, and you're picking clean its corpse. The creepy feeling comes early in the game, after you leave Vault 76, where you've waited out the first 20 years of nuclear fallout. Your job as one of Vault-Tec's best and brightest is to rebuild the world. You're a little late doing that at the start of the game, thanks to over-partying the night before the Vault opens. As a result, the main quest at the beginning of the game has you following the Vault's former Overseer as she travels the world hoping to find and take control of three remaining nuclear missile silos--ostensibly to keep those weapons from ever being used again.Tracking the Overseer's path through the Wasteland takes you the town of Flatwoods near the Vault, where you learn about some folks trying to make the post-apocalypse a better place: the Responders. This group, mostly consisting of former first-responders like paramedics and firefighters, roam the Wasteland looking to help people, and have set up several communities for that purpose. When you arrive in their town, you take part in an automated process to join up as a volunteer. It's a tutorial that has you wandering around town, trying to find the people who can teach you to cook, clean your water, and perform other essential survival tasks. The state of the town makes what you're going to find a foregone conclusion, though, and before long you confirm that none of the nice people of Flatwoods has survived.Your Responder volunteer training continues apace, thanks to audio diaries left behind by the Responders who didn't make it, and which give you a sense of the lives they lived as they fought to survive their new world. Before long, you intercept a Responder radio signal that directs you to their headquarters at Morgantown, a larger city with an airport. The signal is pretty desperate: the Responders are expecting an attack by zombie-like people called the Scorched, and they need all hands on deck in order to repel it.Spoiler alert: They didn't.Fallout 76's lack of NPCs turns its setting into a ghost world, with the player arriving just after the worst has already happened. Stumble on the cabin of an old moonshiner and you might find evidence of his existence, but not the man himself. Head over to Grafton, a town where the mayor is broadcasting a radio signal asking for assistance, and you find the humans are dead and a computer is running the show. The world of West Virginia was full of people before--it just isn't anymore.Contrast that with previous Fallout games and it becomes clear why Fallout 76 just feels a bit off. In past games, pretty much the first thing players do is stumble into post-apocalyptic civilization, where the people of the Wasteland aren't just eking out lives for themselves, but often thriving. One of the first people you meet in Megaton, the first town in Fallout 3, is its sheriff, which shows that the settlement isn't just a bunch of people barely hanging on, but one that has laws, and someone to enforce them. Places like Diamond City in Fallout 4, or the Strip in New Vegas, show just how strong civilization can become. These aren't just places where you pick up quests, they're evidence that Wasteland life continues. They make the world feel substantial and lived-in, and they give your actions in that world stakes.Fallout 76 makes its approach a little more uncanny by constantly supplying audio diaries and information about those lost souls in whose wakes you follow. A group of audio tapes left by the Responders called Survivor Stories gives the characters just enough backstory to make their absences more haunting. Your path following the Overseer is similarly replete with bits of character-building audio, as your leader visits the important places from her pre-Vault life and talks about her memories. All these tiny stories are well-written and well-acted, which makes them stand out even more. There was life in the Wasteland in Fallout 76--we just missed it.Adding other players to Fallout 76 at the expense of NPCs is a trade that sacrifices something essential about the Fallout games. The series has always been both somber and satirical in equal measure, but at its heart it was at least a little bit hopeful. The world didn't end when the nukes fell, it just changed.Filling the Wasteland of Fallout 76 with players doesn't make it feel any less dead. We might build camps and buildings, but it's likely we'll all eventually put on party hats and aviator sunglasses, flash goofy emotes at each other, and try to murder each other. There's a transitory lightness to the multiplayer side of games like this that no amount of audio logs can overcome.Without characters, Fallout 76 has no narrative balance against the people just screwing around in the Wasteland, and therefore, nothing to make the world feel substantial. It's sad, because the fascinating, engrossing stories of the people who once populated Fallout's West Virginia are there. They're just not around to make you care anymore.Info from Gamespot.com

Disney has released the first trailer for its upcoming live-action Lion King reboot--and it looks absolutely stunning. The trailer showcases just how far advanced animation has become. The trailer begins with Mufasa giving his famous "Everything the light touches" speech, and yes, that's James Earl Jones back in the role. The video then cuts wider and we see lovely scenes of the Serengeti, including the immediately familiar Pride Rock. Check out the full trailer in the embed above. One thing that this movie will have to wrestle with is how weird it's going to be to see animals that look so realistic talking. It seems to be bordering on the uncanny valley. Here’s the ðŸ¦ðŸ‘‘ poster. #TheLionKing pic.twitter.com/oOpgIOVzI6 — Jon Favreau (@Jon_Favreau) November 22, 2018As mentioned, James Earl Jones plays Mufasa, while Donald Glover voices SImba. Although Black Friday 2018 is set to officially take place on Friday, most of its deals start today. Sony's PSN and Microsoft's Xbox Live sales on digital PS4/Xbox One games are underway, and the discounts on PS4 and Xbox One bundles have been made available, too, and now we've also gotten the Nintendo Eshop sale on Switch and 3DS games. Steam has also launched its sale, and we're seeing price-beating happening: Walmart just cut Black Ops 4 to $37 on PS4 and Xbox One, beating not only its own advertised price, but the best price we had seen anywhere.Best Buy's early access sale has ended for the time being, though it is still offering some deals on its website before it rolls out the full promotion on Thursday. Ebay has had some terrific deals leading up to Black Friday, and today (Wednesday only), it has some the best Xbox One and Nintendo Switch deals we've seen. Meanwhile, the PS4 Spider-Man bundle is on sale at numerous stores days before we expected, and PS Plus is $40 at a whole bunch of retailers. And after looking like Spider-Man and Fallout 76 wouldn't be discounted, we've now learned of deals on both.Black Friday officially begins on November 23, and beyond what you can get now, we already know most of what to expect. We started out by getting Target's ad early, giving us a look at what will be on sale across games, tech, and entertainment, and that's been followed by several other huge ones, Walmart and Best Buy. Everything from 4K TVs to PS4, Xbox One X, and Nintendo Switch are on sale, not to mention games and movies ranging from Red Dead Redemption 2 and Star Wars to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and Deadpool 2. GameStop has also finally shared its ad, greatly expanding the list of deals. As always, tracking what's on sale and where can be an overwhelming task, as can determining what the best deals are. We'll be doing our best to help you stay on top of this so you can make the most of Black Friday (and Cyber Monday immediately after that) without having to drown in a sea of circulars and hastily scrawled post-it notes. While Black Friday 2018 technically begins on November 23, many of the deals and discounts for the annual shopping event are available right now. Woo hoo! It's a great opportunity to buy a PS4, and you'll be able to get plenty of cheap things to go with it, including quality games and PS Plus. Sony's digital PSN games sale is already live, and below you'll find all the deals from Walmart, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and other retailers.Sony itself has announced its Black Friday promotions, and you'll find a lot of what retailers have to offer line up with these deals. When it comes to PS4 consoles, the best option announced so far is from Target, Best Buy, Walmart, and Sam's Club all of which get you a PlayStation 4 Slim 1TB and Spider-Man as a pack-in game for $200 (or $199 in the case of Walmart and Sam's Club). That's a great deal, seeing as the console normally costs around $300 and Spider-Man costs $60. Given it's part of Sony's official lineup of deals, you can expect to find this pretty much everywhere--and not only that, but the deal seems to have gone live early at most every store. In terms of PS4 accessories, another doorbuster Target will offer is a PlayStation VR bundle that comes with a camera, Move controllers, Creed: Rise to Glory, and Superhot VR, all for $250; that deal is mirrored at Best Buy. If you want a cheaper route, several stores will have a $200 PSVR bundle. Also, both Target, Best Buy, and Kohl's will have DualShock 4 controllers available for $40, while Walmart beats them at $39. Again $200 for PSVR and $40 for controllers are among Sony's official Black Friday deals, so expect to see those from a lot of stores. On the PS4 games side of the equation, there's plenty to save money on. The recent release Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will drop to $40 at Walmart. Fallout 76 drops to $40 at GameStop in-store, while PSN has Spider-Man for $40. Another recent one, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, will be available for $30. Both Detroit: Become Human and God of War will be available for $25 each, as will Far Cry 5. Assassin's Creed Odyssey is at its cheapest (so far) at Best Buy, where it'll be $30.We've gathered all of the PlayStation 4 deals announced so far into one place so you can get the best deal on whatever it is you're looking for. Disney Pixar's upcoming Toy Story 4 introduces a number of new toys, and one of them will be played by John Wick and The Matrix star Keanu Reeves. Tim Allen, who plays Buzz Lightyear, revealed to Jimmy Fallon that Reeves is in the film, though Disney hasn't confirmed this.Allen said Reeves' character "has an edge" in a similar way that Buzz Lightyear does. Reeves' toy is really tiny, Allen said, though that's all he had to say about it, so we'll have to wait a bit longer to learn more. Toy Story 4 also introduces new toys voiced by Tony Hale, Keegan-Michael Key, and Jordan Peele. Also during the interview, Allen talked about how Toy Story 4's plot is "so deep and moving," in particular the ending. Allen said he got very emotional at the end, going on to say Toy Story 4's ending is heavy in a similar way to the ending of Gone With The Wind.Toy Story 4 is directed by Josh Cooley, who previously co-wrote Inside Out for Pixar, and Jonas Rivera. It was originally announced back in 2014 with a 2017 release date, but delays caused the film to switch release slots with The Incredibles 2. Former Disney Animation head John Lasseter was set to direct, but sexual harassment allegations against him resulted in him stepping away and ultimately leaving the company.Allen isn't the only Toy Story star to have spoken about the impactful ending of Toy Story 4. Tom Hanks, who plays Woody, said in a previous interview, "When I realized what they were going for, I realized, 'Oh, this is a moment in history.'"Toy Story 4 opens in theaters on June 21, 2019. Here is the official description of the film:"Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that's Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called 'Forky' to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy."Info from Gamespot.com

1994's The Santa Clause starring Tim Allen is one of the best-known and most-beloved family Christmas movies. It is generally a very wholesome and family-friendly film, but that wasn't always the case, it seems. Allen told Jimmy Fallon that in the original script, Allen was going to murder Santa Claus by shooting him because he thought he was a burglar."The original Santa Clause was a little darker ... I actually shot and killed Santa; he fell off the roof because I thought he was a burglar. And the kid says, 'You just killed Santa!' And I said, 'He shouldn't have been on the roof!"He and the writers took the idea to then-Disney head Jeffrey Katzenberg, and the executive said that direction wouldn't fly. "We can't start a Disney movie with you murdering Santa," Allen said he recalls Katzenberg telling him at the time.Allen said he was surprised that Katzenberg shut it down because Disney films often kill the parents of characters as a storytelling device. We all remember Bambi...In the final version, Allen's character, Scott Calvin, encounters Santa Claus on his roof. Santa, spooked by Calvin, falls and slips off the roof to his apparent death. Calvin climbs down off the roof and discovers Santa's body vanished, with only his trademark suit remaining. Inside the suit is a note regarding what Calvin will eventually come to learn is "the Santa clause," which in the fiction states that the person who puts on the suit becomes Santa. Calvin eventually reluctantly agrees to become Santa, driven by his love for his son, and in the end it's a nice story about love and the importance of family.Allen turns in a nice performance in The Santa Clause, but he was only acting. In real life, Allen doesn't like children and would never fit the model of Santa."I'm literally the last guy in the world who should be Santa Claus. I don't like kids all that much. I'm not going to hurt them; I won't say inappropriate stuff. Just don't like 'em," he said.Allen also recalled a day of filming where he was in the Santa suit smoking a cigarette, and he told director John Pasquin to "keep those frickin' kids away from me!" He remembers the child actors on set apparently actually believing he was Santa, and asking him all kinds of questions as if he was the real Santa. Pasquin, the director, apparently had to inform Allen not to swear so much while wearing the Santa suit. The Santa Clause was followed up by sequels The Santa Clause 2 in 2002 and The Santa Clause 3: Escape Clause in 2006.Info from Gamespot.com

Black Friday is right around the corner (so soon!) but many deals are already live now. When it comes to Nintendo Switch, you'll find a better slate of deals than last year, although there isn't a huge amount of variety (or steep discounts) on the console itself. Beyond that, though, there are a bunch of games on sale, and that list has now expanded further with Nintendo confirming the lineup for its Eshop Cyber Deals sale. Many stores have already released their ads, and in some cases, their offers will be available hours or even days in advance. In terms of the Nintendo Switch console, we're seeing an identical deal popping up in a lot of places since we first saw it in Target's preview ad. Target, Walmart, and Best Buy will sell the system for $300, as per usual (or $299 in Walmart's case), but the system will be a special bundle that comes with a free copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Unfortunately, if you were hoping for a sub-$300 Switch, we have yet to see anyone drop the system's price. If the aforementioned bundle doesn't appeal to you, Kohl's has a more expensive option that also comes with $90 in Kohl's Cash.A large number of Switch games are on sale, although the sheer scale of these deals is not the same as on PS4 or Xbox One, as you'd expect. Still, there are some good offers: last year's surprisingly excellent XCOM-like, Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, drops to $20 at Best Buy; Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate drops to $35 at Target, Walmart, and Best Buy; Arms goes to $35 at Walmart; and Bayonetta 2 (which includes the previous game) will be $40 at Best Buy.Nintendo will presumably launch its own game sale through the Switch Eshop, but as of yet that has not yet begun, as is the case with the PSN and Xbox Live sales. We'll report back if (but, more likely, when) it does.Below, you'll find all of the Black Friday deals on Switch consoles, games, and accessories that we've spotted so far. More deals should be announced in the day ahead, and we'll keep this page updated. Black Friday 2018 is upon us, and one of the stores getting in on the action is the retailer Target. Below, you can see a number of good PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch gaming deals, and we also have a look at Target's best gaming deals.A few video game items are listed as doorbusters in Target's ad. For starters, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on both PS4 and Xbox One will be on sale for $45--not a bad discount for a game that just launched last month (though it'll be cheaper elsewhere). Another recent game is getting an even bigger price drop; the starter pack for the toys-to-life space shooter Starlink: Battle for Atlas will be on sale for $40, down from $75.In terms of hardware doorbusters, you'll be able to get a PlayStation 4 Slim 1TB console with Spider-Man for $200 (for a savings of $100)--although despite the ad's designation of this as a doorbuster, you can actually take advantage of the deal right now. Also $100 off is a PlayStation VR bundle that comes with the headset, camera, and two Move controllers, as well as copies of Superhot VR and Creed: Rise to Glory, all for $250.Even many of the non-doorbuster discounts are much better than you'd see during normal sales. Assassin's Creed Odyssey can be had for $35, while Shadow of the Tomb Raider is down to $30. Overwatch and Star Wars Battlefront 2 are down to just $15 each. A Nintendo Switch can be had for its usual price of $300 but with a free copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. In terms of exclusives, PS4 owners can grab God of War or Detroit: Become Human for $25 apiece. Xbox One players can pick up PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds for $15, or Sea of Thieves and Forza Horizon 4 for $35 each. Switch owners can get Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy or Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle for $25 each. You can get these sale prices online or in store, but as always, stock will be limited. If you want to brave the crowds and get your hands on the items in person, Target stores will be open and offering these deals from 5 PM Thursday, November 22 to 1 AM Friday, November 23. Then--presumably after spending a few hours cleaning up and re-stocking--they'll re-open Friday, November 23 at 7 AM. It's possible certain stores will use different hours, so you might want to double-check closer to Black Friday. We've broken down all of the various Black Friday store hours to help you know when the deals begin. Now it's time for the big list, which you can also see in the full Target Black Friday ad. All of the following games will be available at the prices listed below on Black Friday, but Target says even more games will also be on sale. We'll update this article when we find out what those are. In the mean time, check out the full list and start planning your Black Friday 2018 purchases now.PS4GamesAssassin's Creed Odyssey -- $35Assassin's Creed Origins -- $35Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 -- $45 [Doorbuster]Call of Duty: WWII -- $25Destiny 2: Forsaken Legendary Collection -- $30 [Doorbuster]Detroit: Become Human -- $25Doom -- $15Dragon Ball FighterZ -- $25The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition -- $15The Evil Within 2 -- $15F1 2018 -- $30Fallout 4 GotY Edition -- $30Far Cry 5 -- $25FIFA 19 -- $30 [Doorbuster]God of War -- $25Lego The Incredibles -- $25Lego Jurassic World -- $15Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 -- $15Madden NFL 19 -- $30 [Doorbuster]MLB The Show 18 -- $25Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker -- $30NBA 2K19 -- $30 [Doorbuster]NBA Live 19 -- $15NHL 19 -- $35Overwatch -- $15Shadow of the Tomb Raider -- $30SoulCalibur VI -- $35Star Wars Battlefront 2 -- $15Starlink: Battle for Atlas Starter Pack -- $40 [Doorbuster]We Happy Few -- $35Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus -- $15WWE 2K19 -- $30Hardware and AccessoriesPlayStation 4 Slim 1TB with Spider-Man -- $200 [Doorbuster]PlayStation VR with Camera, Move Controllers, Creed: Rise to Glory, and Superhot VR -- $250 [Doorbuster]DualShock 4 Controller -- $40Turtle Beach Stealth 300 Headset -- $45Xbox OneGamesAssassin's Creed Odyssey -- $35Assassin's Creed Origins -- $35Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 -- $45 [Doorbuster]Call of Duty: WWII -- $25Destiny 2: Forsaken Legendary Collection -- $30 [Doorbuster]Doom -- $15Dragon Ball FighterZ -- $25The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition -- $15The Evil Within 2 -- $15F1 2018 -- $30Fallout 4 GotY Edition -- $30Far Cry 5 -- $25FIFA 19 -- $30 [Doorbuster]Forza Horizon 4 -- $35Lego The Incredibles -- $25Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 -- $15Madden NFL 19 -- $30 [Doorbuster]Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker -- $30NBA 2K19 -- $30 [Doorbuster]NBA Live 19 -- $15NHL 19 -- $35Overwatch -- $15PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds -- $15Sea of Thieves -- $35Shadow of the Tomb Raider -- $30SoulCalibur VI -- $35Star Wars Battlefront 2 -- $15Starlink: Battle for Atlas Starter Pack -- $40 [Doorbuster]We Happy Few -- $35Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus -- $15WWE 2K19 -- $30Hardware and AccessoriesXbox One S 1 TB Minecraft bundle with $20 Target gift card -- $200Save $70 on all other Xbox One consolesXbox One Controller -- $40Xbox Live Gold (three-, six-, or 12-month subscription) -- $10 offTurtle Beach Stealth 300 Headset -- $45Nintendo Switch / 3DSGamesCrash Bandicoot N. It's Thanksgiving right now, so that means Black Friday 2018 deals are starting to become available too, ahead of the shopping bonanza's official start on November 23. Best Buy's full ad has been released, and it includes a ton of games, all of which we've outlined below. There are a bunch of PS4, Xbox One, and Switch games on sale, along with hardware and accessories. Best Buy's console deals are limited in number, but they present a good way to pick up any of the big systems. Many of them are similar to what you'll find at other stores, but it does have what might be the best deal on an Xbox One X. For $430, you get a special-edition Xbox One X that's bundled with November's Battlefield V, plus a second controller. Those looking for a PS4 can get one bundled with Marvel's Spider-Man, which just released in September, for $200. $200 can also get you an Xbox One S Minecraft bundle. If you're in the market for a Nintendo Switch, you'll get the same offer at places like Target, which is a $300 bundle (the standard price of the system) that includes Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The bulk of the gaming offers are on specific games. Among the highlights is the recently released Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 for $45, God of War for $25, and PUBG (Xbox One) for $15. For $30, you can get Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Madden NFL 19, NBA 2K19, or Forza Horizon 4. Switch, which often doesn't get a lot of discounts, has a number of games on sale, including Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze for $40, Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle for $20, and Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate for $35. 3DS owners can pick up Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon for $20 each.Outside of individual games, Best Buy has deals on a variety of accessories, including a 30% discount on all Astro headsets. But some of the best offers it has are for subscriptions: You can get 12 months of PlayStation Plus for $40 or 12 months of Xbox Game Pass for $70. Considering the latter gets you access to certain games you might be buying on sale (like Forza Horizon 4 and Sea of Thieves), it could be a preferable option.Best Buy's Black Friday offerings will be available to everyone beginning on Thanksgiving Day, November 22, at 5 PM local time. (Specific opening times may vary by state.) You'll also be able to shop online at Best Buy's website. Early access is now live for My Best Buy Elite and Elite Plus members. Standard My Best Buy members get access on Monday, November 19; essentially, you can sign up for free and get access days ahead of time.Read on for the full list of game deals, and check out our roundup of all Black Friday deals for much more.Best Black Friday DealsThe Best Game Deals On Black FridayPS4's Best Black Friday 2018 DealsNintendo Switch's Best Black Friday 2018 DealsXbox One's Best Black Friday 2018 Game DealsBest Buy's Best Black Friday 2018 Game DealsTarget's Best Black Friday 2018 Game DealsWalmart's Best Black Friday 2018 Game DealsAll The Game DealsBlack Friday 2018 DealsWhen The Black Friday Sales StartPS4 Black Friday 2018 DealsNintendo Switch Black Friday 2018 DealsXbox One Black Friday 2018 DealsTarget Black Friday 2018 Game DealsBest Buy Black Friday 2018 Game DealsWalmart Black Friday 2018 Game DealsGameStop Black Friday 2018 Game DealsBest Buy Black Friday Gaming DealsPS4PS4 Console DealsPS4 1 TB with Spider-Man -- $200PS4 Game DealsAgony -- $20Ark: Survival Evolved -- no price listedAssassin's Creed Odyssey -- $30Assassin's Creed Origins -- $20Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection -- $15The Banner Saga Trilogy: Bonus Edition -- $20Battlefield 5 with steelbook & $10 off select games -- $60BioShock: The Collection -- $20Borderlands: The Handsome Collection -- $15Burnout Paradise Remastered -- $10Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Zombies Chronicles Edition -- $25Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 -- $45Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered -- $15Call of Duty: WWII Gold Edition -- $25Carnival Games -- $25Conan Exiles -- $30Crash Bandicoot N.
