Black Friday is generally considered the year's biggest shopping day, seeing as it kicks off most retailers' holiday season. But that doesn't mean you should ignore Cyber Monday. The online shopping holiday was created in 2005 and has grown to the point where it was the biggest online shopping day in the US last year. But now that online Black Friday deals are often just as good as in-store ones, what role will Cyber Monday play in 2018? Let's look at what to expect from Cyber Monday 2018; we've also got a roundup of the confirmed Cyber Monday deals. When Is Cyber Monday 2018?Cyber Monday always lands on the Monday following Black Friday. Since Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving, this year's Cyber Monday falls on November 26, 2018. But just like how Black Friday is being drawn out at some retailers into a multi-day sale event, Cyber Monday is too. Some retailers are even calling it Cyber Week, so they'll be offering sale prices throughout the whole week of November 26 and in some cases, beyond. What Retailers Will Participate In Cyber Monday?Generally, the same retailers that have Black Friday sales will try to keep customers coming back on Cyber Monday. That means anyone looking for video game and entertainment deals will want to keep an eye on Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Newegg, Target, Kohl's, and Walmart in particular. Many digital game sellers will also be having Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales, though many of them will likely run a single sale that spans both shopping holidays. Expect to see sales on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Nintendo Eshop, Steam, and other PC storefronts like Humble, Fanatical, and Green Man Gaming. When Will We See Cyber Monday Deal Announcements?Unsurprisingly, retailers tend to put most of their marketing efforts toward Black Friday during November. In fact, most of the biggest retailers have already released their Black Friday ads, so we largely know what deals to expect in terms of video games and entertainment (you can find details about all the Black Friday sales here). But Cyber Monday offers a way for stores to keep the customers coming back, so expect to see Cyber Monday ads appearing over Black Friday weekend, November 24-25.What Deals To ExpectLast year, Best Buy and GameStop kept many of their video game deals going through Black Friday weekend and into Cyber Monday. On Cyber Monday, Target offered 15% off most items online (with a few exceptions in the video game category). For its part, Steam ran a single Black Friday weekend sale that lasted through Monday. In general, though, don't expect Cyber Monday to have deeply discounted doorbuster deals like you'll find on Black Friday. So if you see something you want for an appealing price on Black Friday, it's usually not a good idea to wait for Cyber Monday to see if you can get an even better deal. That said, common sale items this Black Friday, like the PS4 Slim with Spider-Man for $200 and $100 discounts on Xbox One S and X, are likely to continue through Cyber Monday at many retailers. When In Doubt, Check Price HistoryIf you're not sure if the deal you're considering on Cyber Monday is a good one, it's wise to check the item's price history to see how low it has gone in the past and how often it tends to go on sale. You can check sites like Camelcamelcamel to get the information you need to make an informed purchasing decision on games, consoles, movies, TVs, and the like.Check BackJust as we're tracking the best Black Friday deals on all things video games and entertainment, we'll be here highlighting the best deals around on Cyber Monday.Info from Gamespot.com

There aren't many racing franchises as reliable or consistent as Forza. The Forza Horizon series in particular offers tight and satisfying racing gameplay while setting it all in real-world (and open-world) locations that are picturesque and provide a variety of activities to engage in. The latest entry, Forza Horizon 4, is already a hot property when it comes to Black Friday deals, and now that Thanksgiving has come around, many discounts are available to take advantage of.For those on the hunt for a good discount, there's a few options to consider, and most of them knock around $20 off the full price. First up, Best Buy has it priced at $30, which is currently the biggest discount that we've seen. Walmart, meanwhile, is offering the game for $35, and Target also has it for $35.It's worth noting that these are all physical versions of the game, as opposed to digital codes. The Xbox Store sale is now live for Xbox Live Gold members, discounting a digital copy to $39. While pricier than its physical counterpart, this does come with the benefit of Play Anywhere, allowing you to access the game on both Xbox One and PC.Forza Horizon 4 is also available through Xbox Game Pass, which is the Microsoft service that gives subscribers access to a selection of games for as long as they're a member. Although you won't outright own Forza Horizon 4, this is a way to play the game--alongside a bunch of others--for fairly cheap.Forza Horizon 4 launched on October 2, and has held up the series' high standards, earning a 9/10 from GameSpot."There's such a diverse range of activities stuffed into every corner of Horizon 4, and meaningful changes contribute to smart driving dynamics and a more consistent sense of achievement," said Edmond Tran in his Forza Horizon 4 review."Everything you do in Horizon feels valuable, no matter how big or small--from the basic thrills of speeding a fast car down a gorgeous mountain highway to spending time tinkering with your favorite ride to manage seasonal road conditions to just hanging out with friends and strangers online and goofing off in friendly games. The charm of the Horizon series is as palpable as ever, a winning, all-inclusive recipe that celebrates the joy of driving above all else."Forza Horizon 4 Black Friday Deals$30 -- Best Buy$35 -- Walmart$35 -- Target$39 -- Xbox Store [digital - Xbox One/PC Play Anywhere]$40 -- GameStop Info from Gamespot.com

It's that time of the year again when we round up the latest deals and discounts for many of the most impressive games released recently. Though Black Friday officially kicks off on November 23, a large amount of deals are already live since it's Thanksgiving Day. These including deals featuring God of War, the critically acclaimed action game from Sony Santa Monica. Better yet, some of those discounts are already available. As one of the PS4's most impressive games of 2018, this reboot of the over-the-top and grand action-adventure series kicks off a surprising heartfelt new story. The Target ad for Black Friday 2018 led the way, confirming God of War will be on sale for $25. Since then, we've also gotten both Walmart and Best Buy ads, with both of those retailers offering the same discount. But if you like digital games, the PlayStation Store is the winner, with the price down to $22 right now. However, many of these sales won't be active until Black Friday sales begin on Thursday and Friday. Still, it's good to stay up on the latest games now before the rush begins.Coming from Sony Santa Monica, the newest God of War game picks up many years after God of War III. Moving on from the setting of Ancient Greece, Kratos--the demi-god and son of Zeus--lives a life of solitude in a realm immersed in Norse mythology. As a single-player action-adventure game, it moved away slightly from the ultra-violence and schlocky style of the original games, telling a more personal story that dealt with fatherhood and coming to terms with your past--all while killing off monsters and other gods in gory fashion. In our review of God Of War, managing editor Peter Brown gave it a 9 and stated: "In many ways God of War is what the series has always been. It's a spectacular action game with epic set pieces, big-budget production values, and hard-hitting combat that grows more feverish and impressive as you progress. What may surprise you is how mature its storytelling has become. Like Kratos, God of War recalls the past while acknowledging the need to improve. Everything new it does is for the better, and everything it holds onto benefits as a result. Kratos is no longer a predictable brute. God of War is no longer an old-fashioned action series. With this reboot, it confidently walks a new path that will hopefully lead to more exciting adventures to come."If you want to see where you can find these deals for God of War, then check out our roundup below. Expect many more deals to pop up in the days approaching Black Friday. As a reminder, these deals aren't active yet, so stick with GameSpot to see when you can take advantage of them and if more deals from other retailers come up.God Of War$22 -- PlayStation Store$25 -- Best Buy$25 -- Target$25 -- Walmart$30 -- GameStopBest Black Friday DealsThe Best Game Deals On Black FridayPS4's Best Black Friday 2018 DealsXbox One's Best Black Friday 2018 Game DealsBest Buy's Best Black Friday 2018 Game DealsTarget's Best Black Friday 2018 Game DealsWalmart's Best Black Friday 2018 Game DealsAll The Game DealsBlack Friday 2018 DealsWhen The Black Friday Sales StartPS4 Black Friday 2018 DealsNintendo Switch Black Friday 2018 DealsXbox One Black Friday 2018 DealsTarget Black Friday 2018 Game DealsBest Buy Black Friday 2018 Game DealsWalmart Black Friday 2018 Game DealsGameStop Black Friday 2018 Game DealsInfo from Gamespot.com

With Black Friday nearly upon us, more and more deals have sprung up for the big sales week. Here, we're highlighting the available discounts for Playerunknown's Battlegrounds, otherwise known as PUBG. Some deals are already live, so take a look below to see what to expect. As of now, PUBG on Xbox One will have some sales at Best Buy, Target, and Walmart for less than $20. The lowest price is $15 at Best Buy and Target, though if you're willing to pay $18, you can simply download it straight from the Xbox Store.Though other games like Fortnite have overtaken PUBG's former dominance in the growing field of free-for-all games, it's still a popular title and has a solid player base on both PC and Xbox One. With three different maps to fight it out on, and featuring many different types of skins, weapon decals, and other customization options--PUBG focuses a lot more on tactical gameplay compared to the Fortnite's more arcadey style action. The most recent event happening in the world of PUBG is a promotional tie-in featuring the Joker and Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad. In our review of PUBG last year, editor Michael Higham gave it an 8 and stated: "PUBG's technical shortcomings can undermine its broader achievements on rare occasions, but they don't override your desire to continue playing. Each phase of a match presents a different type of tension that is equal parts thrilling and terrifying, driven by the insatiable desire to be the last person (or squad) standing. Whether you play solo or in a group, successfully executing adaptive tactics to win intense, high-stakes firefights makes for an incredibly rewarding experience. Every player has unique stories of their most memorable matches, and even after hundreds of hours, PUBG continues to inspire rousing tales of victory and defeat."There's still many more deals coming in the time leading up to Black Friday. Remember, many of these until the time of Black Friday, so keep that in mind when you're sorting through these deals early. GOG kicked off its Black Friday sale this week with a batch of classic PC games getting their prices seriously slashed. The sale, which runs through Cyber Monday, joins a horde of Black Friday deals on games from a number of outlets, and includes a bunch of older Electronic Arts games at a discount of 75 percent, and others that go as deep as 90 percent off.Topping the list of titles at the 75 percent off mark are Dead Space ($4.99) and Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition ($4.99), with SimCity 2000 ($1.49), SimCity 3000 ($2.49), SimCity 4 ($4.99), Crysis ($4.99), and Jade Empire ($3.74) joining the list. Meanwhile, Soldier of Fortune, Soldier of Fortune: Payback, and Soldier of Fortune II: Double Helix are all reduced by 20 percent ($7.99 for each), while SWAT 4 is down 50 percent ($4.99)--all of which are GOG exclusives. There are even bigger discounts on offer, though include Panzer Corps at 90 percent off ($1.99), Mafia II: Director's Cut at 80 percent off ($7.99), and the Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth trilogy at 80 percent off ($5.99 for each).According to GOG's website, there are more than 500 games getting their prices slashed, so it might be worth investing some time to dig around for some gems--like the Wing Commander and Ultima anthologies, which are both 75 percent off in their entirety. Among the most notable aspects of the Destiny 2 weekly reset is the latest Ascendant Challenge for those who own the Forsaken DLC. This is the end of the six-week cycle of challenges, and it's one of the most spookiest and most involved. Here's where to find the Taken portal and what to do once you're inside. As always, the first step is to pick up the Ascendant Challenge from Petra--this is what nets you a piece of Powerful gear for completing it. Once that's done, make sure you have a Tincture of Queensfoil. With that in hand, you'll enter the Lost Sector in Rheasilvia. You'll need to make your way through the entire thing, as the portal is located just behind the chest that unlocks after killing the boss. While optional, you might as well complete the Lost Sector to make things easier on yourself. With that out of the way, use the Tincture to gain the Ascendance buff, which allows you to see the Taken portal. The exact location can be seen in the video above and map below.Jump through the portal to head to Cimmerian Garrison, located in the Ascendant Plane. Here, you'll be faced with what amounts to a gauntlet--you'll need to make your way through and kill an enemy at the end. Once you go inside, you'll be chased by three knights. As you progress, you'll have to deal with various enemies, including hobgoblins, shriekers, and thrall with yellow health bars. Take them out as you go, and you'll reach a point where you have to platform across some rocks (because it wouldn't be an Ascendant Challenge without some first-person platforming). Along the way, be mindful of the Taken corruption that will periodically explode with a blast of energy, which can send you falling you to your death if you aren't careful.Once you're done platforming, you'll have to kill a knight to finish things out, but beware the shrieker that spawns nearby. With the knight dead, open the chest to complete the Ascendant Challenge. There may not be any special rewards inside there, but you'll get a piece of Powerful gear for turning in the associated bounty. This week's reset marks the end of the Iron Banner, but there's something new to keep players engaged through the next week: bonus Infamy points in Gambit. If you're trying to finish any Season 4 Gambit Triumphs (or any other timed Triumphs, for that matter), you'll want to take advantage--Season 4 draws to a close at the next weekly reset on November 27. The start of Season 5 will see some info on the next expansion to Destiny, The Black Armory. Meanwhile, if you're looking for something else to do, you can always go earn the game's latest Exotic, Thunderlord, now that its three-week quest is fully unlocked. Info from Gamespot.com
