Fortnite is getting in the holiday spirit with a new gifting feature that is available now on every platform except iOS. Gifting came to Fortnite today as part of the 6.31 update, and it'll be available for only one week. Epic said in a blog post that this is the "initial gifting period," which suggests gifting will return again at some later point in the future. With the 6.31 update, the item shop now allows you to purchase an item for yourself or "buy as a gift." After selecting that, you can choose to send it to anyone on your friends list. You can also send a custom message. Your friend will receive the gift the next time they log in.To use gifting, you must have multi-factor authentication enabled on your Fortnite account--you can find out how to do that here. What's more, you need to have been friends with someone for at least 48 hours before you can send them a gift. Additionally, you're only able to send a gift three times in a 24-hour period, while there are no refunds available on gifts. Finally, only currently available Fortnite items can be gifted.Gifting is not available on iOS because Apple doesn't allow it, Epic said.In other news, Fortnite's 6.31 update added new shotgun variants, a new limited-time mode, and more. You can get all the details in the full patch notes here.Info from Gamespot.com

One of the first things you do in Red Dead Online, the multiplayer mode for Red Dead Redemption 2, is create a character and snap a mugshot when you're finished. You might think it's odd that your character displays their hands so prominently in the mugshot, but that is in fact rooted in history. It was a common in the late 1800s to take photographs, or mugshots, of criminals with their hands in front of their bodies so authorities could easily identify distinguishing features such as cuts, tattoos, and other elements, according to Mashable. Police also had criminals pose next to a mirror so that their full face and profile are captured in the same image. Red Dead Online does this, too, in a further bid toward historical accuracy. You can watch GameSpot's character-creation video in the embed above to see all of this.Red Dead Online is available now for Ultimate Edition owners, and it'll launch November 28 for people who played Red Dead Redemption 2 on launch day (October 26). Those who played the game October 27-29 will get in on November 29, while everyone can start playing Red Dead Online on November 30. The online mode is available as part of a beta, so you can and should expect a number of issues to flare up during the early play period.Red Dead Online also features a battle royale mode called Make It Count, while microtransactions in the game come in the form of gold bars (which you can't buy yet). Keep checking back with GameSpot for lots more on Red Dead Online in the days and weeks to come. Info from Gamespot.com

We know a new Alien game for console and PC is on the way, and just recently 20th Century Fox trademarked Alien: Blackout as the name of a new video game. There are some reasons to believe it may be announced at The Game Awards, but nothing is certain as of yet.Last year's Game Awards, which drew 11.5 million viewers according to Variety, featured a number of big-time announcements. Some of these included From Software's new game, which we now know to be Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, the lovely looking In The Valley Of Gods from Firewatch developer Campo Santo, the fighting game Soul Calibur VI, Bayonetta 3, and more. In addition to the announcements, you may recall A Way Out developer Josef Fares proclaiming "F**k the Oscars!" during the live broadcast. Keighley and Metal Gear designer Hideo Kojima are friends, so we might also get some news about Kojima's next game, Death Stranding, during The Game Awards. On top of whatever games get announced, The Game Awards will also of course host actual awards. God of War, Red Dead Redemption 2, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Celeste, Spider-Man, and Monster Hunter: World are all up for the highly coveted Game of the Year award. You can see a full rundown of categories and nominees here. Last year, Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild won Game of the Year at The Game Awards.Keighley has high hopes for The Game Awards this year, pointing out to Variety that his show is doing better--based on some metrics--than the more mainstream awards shows."The Oscars, Grammys, Teen Choice are all tanking and the Game Awards is growing," he said. Once you've reached a high enough level to wear a fully-equipped suit of Power Armor, you're likely to wonder what you can do to further enhance its abilities. Sure, you can take a chance and try finding better armor plating out in the world, but that's a well that'll run dry before too long. If you want true freedom in modifying and enhancing your Power Armor's plating and capabilities, you're going to need a Power Armor Station. There are several Power Armor Stations scattered all around the world for you to use, but if you want true convenience, you're going to want your own. Like all craftable items in Fallout 76, you'll need the Power Armor Station's crafting blueprint before you can make it. This can be acquired by completing the side quest called "Miner Miracles," which can be initiated by visiting the Garrahan Mining Headquarters. In addition to the blueprint, completing this quest nets you the Excavator Power Armor.Below we run you through through the steps required to complete this quest. It's important to note that you must be level 25 to access this quest, so if you don't meet this requirement, try checking out our other guides in the meantime, like our basic survival guide or our tips you should know before starting feature. But if you haven't found any Power Armor yet, look to our Power Armor guide highlighting a few locations where you grab a set pretty easily. And for some of our thoughts about the game, read our Fallout 76 review.Step 1: Finding The Quest At The Garrahan Mining HeadquartersAs stated, you're going to need to head to the Garrahan Mining Headquarters to initiate the "Miner Miracles" side quest. You'll find this old mining facility at the northeastern section of the Ash Heap region. Below you can find a screenshot pinpointing the location on the world map. When you arrive, you're likely to be met by Super Mutants or robots, so dispatch them first. Once they're down, proceed with caution into the building's interiors; the place is booby-trapped with several explosive fragmentation mines (A mining headquarters with mines, hah). Once you've made it inside, look for a terminal around the rear of the building. Access it and select "Memo: Excavator Queries." Next, proceed to project manager's terminal on the east side of the building and access the file called "Excavator Module Blueprints." This will set you down a path to crafting all the parts of the Excavator Power Armor.Step 2: Crafting The Excavator Power ArmorCrafting each individual piece of the Excavator Armor is going to take a bit of time. Some of its pieces require some rare components. Below you can find screenshots highlighting each piece's individual components. Each armor piece requires an assortment of components to craft. You'll notice the components that are the hardest to come by are Nuclear Material and Black Titanium. If you're looking for Nuclear Material, it can be dismantled from specific types of Junk, like the Blast Radius Board Game, High-Powered Magnet, Vault-Tec Alarm Clock, Ignition Core, or the Rad Poker Board Game.Black Titanium is dropped by Deathclaws. A good place to find these infamous creatures is the aptly named Deathclaw Island, which is the island to the west of the Typer County Fairgrounds. Another (far easier) way to get Black Titanium is from dismantling Miner Suit Scraps, which are dropped by Mole Miners. If you seek Black Titanium out in the world, you can quickly find a small supply of Black Titanium north of Garrahan Mining Headquarters right around the northwest corner of Lewisburg; it's located just off the road around the area. For all the other components, try tagging them for search in the Power Armor crafting menu to help you find what you need either in your inventory or out in the world.Step 3: Registering The Excavator Power ArmorOnce you've painstakingly crafted all the parts of the Excavator Power Armor, simply equip the set and take it back to the Garrahan Mining Headquarters where you can register it by pressing the button on the building's east side. This will complete the quest and reward you the Power Armor Station blueprint. Info from Gamespot.com

As you explore the wasteland of West Virginia in Fallout 76, you'll often happen upon abandoned Power Armor. This high-level piece of equipment is a special armor that can be enhanced further with pieces of armor plating. These pieces are usually around level 40, so you can’t even use them until you're leveled up. But don’t ignore Power Armor entirely because you're a low level! Remove the pieces attached and take the Chassis left over, as even without the armor plates attached, you'll get a bonus to your defense and a boost to your carrying capacity. It's also worth noting that once you hop into a Power Armor chassis, it's yours for good just as long as you store it in your inventory or place it in your Stash. You'll want to start compiling Power Armor pieces early on so that you can be prepared to use them when you reach the appropriate level.Power Armor is such a boon to your stats both early and later on, so it's well worth taking the time to seek them out. That and the Fusion Cores they often have on them are a valuable asset! To help secure you a set, we've gathered below Power Armor locations that are nearby Vault 76 and easy to get early on. It's worth noting that while these locations are set, sometimes there won't be Power Armor. This is because the game's world is persistent, so if a player has picked up that armor recently, that means it'll be gone. Lucky for you, a Power Armor set does respawn after a while. Remain steadfast and you'll grab one for yourself in due time!Be sure to check back often as we highlight more easy-to-find Power Armor sets. If you're looking for more Fallout 76 guides, check out our survival guide, as well as our guide offering tips you should know before starting. You can also check out our feature showcasing all the Perk Cards we've found so far. If you're more curious about how the game is, read our Fallout 76 review.Portside Pub / Mama Dolce's Processing PlantThis set should be the first one you check for if you're keen on grabbing some Power Armor right away. It's located east of Vault 76; you'll see an area that looks like a train yard on the map. You can find the Power Armor in a warehouse located south of Portside Pub, which is a smidge westof Mama Dolce's Processing Plant. Refer to the map screenshot below for the exact location. This warehouse is booby trapped, so you're going to want to be careful in your approach. Fortunately, you can take a staircase to enter the building from the roof to avoid most of the danger. Simply head up the stairs, making sure to steer clear of the explosives traps as they'll likely trigger as you pass through. Once you're inside the warehouse, drop down to find the Power Armor. If you need more visual direction, refer to the screenshots in the gallery above.Morgantown TrainyardThe Morgantown Trainyard is just northwest of Portside Pub at the point on the map that appears as, well, you guessed it: a train yard. This Power Armor set is another one of the easier ones to grab, so you're more than likely to show up and find nothing. But don't give up!When you arrive to the train yard, look out for a train carriage labeled as "USA Star." There are a couple in the yard, but the one you want is located just below a rusty crane nearby the east side of the main warehouse. The Power Armor suit is inside the carriage to your left.Gorge JunkyardThis next Power Armor is at the Gorge Junkyard, which is directly east of Vault 76. If you've just started, you'll want to put off getting this set, as it requires a level 3 lock-picking skill. If you want to up your ability to open those pesky locks, try putting points into Perception as much as possible, and if luck is on your side, you'll receive a few Picklock Perk cards, which should get you to where you want to be.Once you meet these requirements, head to the junkyard and find a green truck trailer amid the junk for the Power Armor. It should be south of the red beached ship on the northern side of the yard near a tiny shack. Refer to the map above for an estimate of where it is, as well as the shots in the gallery for a more visual look.Aaronholt HomesteadThis Power Armor location has a more lenient lock to pick coming in at a lowly Level 1--that said, it still requires you to have better lock-picking skill than zero, so don't go here unless you've leveled that up! Anyway, this location is a bit further out at the Aaronholt Homestead, which is located northeast of the ferris wheel on the map. You'll find the set tucked away in a shack beside the three large silos. Be wary of the giant bugs in the area, as they're likely to be a nuisance to you if left unattended when you pick the lock. Info from Gamespot.com

Only a few years after Fallout 4's release, Bethesda surprised fans by officially announcing Fallout 76, the next entry in its beloved post-apocalyptic RPG franchise. The new game was revealed in a trailer after a series of teases, and Bethesda discussed it in more detail at E3 2018 and at QuakeCon 2018. We even got an opportunity to play the game at a recent hands-on preview event. But the game is out now, and we've only just began to make strides in Bethesda's sprawling adventure. To ensure you're kept up to date on everything there is to know about Fallout 76, we've compiled all the information we have on the game so far: the platforms it's on, its online functionality, its anti-griefing features, and where the game falls in the series' timeline. If you've been playing the beta, you'll be happy to know that the game is receiving a launch day update containing a ton of new content. In the meantime, be on the lookout for our full review, as well a slew of guides to help you get started in the game.Table of Contents [hide]Our Fallout 76 ReviewWhat is Fallout 76?Who's Developing It?Is It An Online Survival Game? How Big Is The World? What Can You Do?How Does Character Creation And Progression Work? How Does PvP Work? How It Plays: Our In-Depth PreviewAny Voice Chat?Guides And What To Do FirstRelease DateOur Fallout 76 Review"Bethesda has stated it intends to continue supporting the game for a long time, but at launch, Fallout 76 is a poor experience. There are echoes of the series' admirable qualities, but look past that facade, past the cute Vault Boy animations, past the familiar radio tracks, and you'll find no heart--just an inconsequential wasteland doomed to be nuked over and over again." Read our review. What is Fallout 76?Fallout 76 is a prequel to all of the previous Fallout games. Set in 2102, you play an inhabitant of Vault 76 who emerges from the shelter 25 years after the bombs fell on America. Your task is simple: explore what remains of post-apocalyptic America and rebuild civilization.Longtime fans will likely recognize Vault 76; although it's not a place we've visited before, this isn't the series' first mention of it. Both Fallout 3 and 4 reference it and, according to the Fallout Wikia, this West Virginia-based vault was occupied by 500 of of America's best and brightest minds. Unlike the more grotesque experimental vaults in the Fallout universe, Vault 76 is a control vault intended to be opened 20 or so years after a nuclear war. But if the Vault was supposed to open 20 years after the bombs fell, why have 25 years gone by? The story has a few surprises in store for those willing to tackle its myriad challenges.Fallout 76 uses the Creation Engine, the same engine used to make Fallout 4, but it will purportedly feature much more graphical detail than its predecessor. Game director Todd Howard has said that Fallout 76 has new rendering and lighting technology, which allows for "16 times" the detail.Who's Developing It?Bethesda Game Studios, the Maryland-based developer responsible for the Elder Scrolls series and both Fallout 3 and Fallout 4, is at work on the game. In addition, Bethesda Game Studios Austin--formerly BattleCry Studios--assisted in fine-tuning the Creation Engine to support multiplayer functionality. Is It An Online Survival Game?Fallout 76 is a much different sort of game from its predecessors. It's "entirely online," but don't worry, you'll be able to play it solo too. According to Bethesda, the idea to take this approach to open-world survival came four years ago, when it started to work on building a multiplayer Fallout experience. Howard described the game's approach to survival as "softcore," which means death doesn't equal loss of progression. You can form a party with up to three other players. You won't be able to manage your placement in servers when you login, as you'll automatically be inserted into a session with others upon booting up the game. Of course, you also have the option simply join alongside your friends and play together.Howard commented that Fallout 76 will have dedicated servers that will support the game "now and for years to come." At launch, there will only be public servers, but Bethesda plans to introduce private servers that will allow players to invite friends to play in order to prevent undesirable behavior. Some classic mechanics from past games will be changing to accommodate the shift to online play. For example, V.A.T.S has been reconfigured to work in real time, while still allowing players to target specific enemy body parts. But this time around, it has been updated to be more of a tool that allows you to spot out dangers in the environment. How Big Is The World?According to Howard, Fallout 76's world is four times the size of Fallout 4. There are six different regions to explore, and each has its own unique style, risks, and rewards. Confirmed areas include the West Virginia State Capitol, The Greenbrier, Woodburn Circle, New River Gorge Bridge, and Camden Park. Contained within each area is a variety of new creatures to encounter, some of which are based on West Virginian folklore. You can take at the full map in the image below. What Can You Do?Like previous games, players spend the majority of their time exploring and completing quests. However, Fallout 76 does not feature any human non-player characters, as all surviving humans are controlled by active players. Instead, the game uses a combination of robot NPCs, collectible recordings, and environmental storytelling in order to give players what they need to piece together quests and the story at large.Given the game's premise of rebuilding the world, there's base-building elements similar to Fallout 4. You're able to set up a bases anywhere using an item called the Construction and Assembly Mobile Platform, or C.A.M.P. These can be placed down in the world and allow you to construct an impromptu camp. We got to see the player laying down walls and decorating the base with pool tables, toilets, and other household objects. As the "mobile platform" part of the name implies, your CAMP can also be picked up and relocated, allowing you to move your base anywhere in the world. While you can help build the world, you can also destroy it. If you have the necessary nuclear launch codes, it's actually possible to access a missile silo to fire a nuke at any point on the map. Doing so irradiates the chosen area, but it also allows for the opportunity to discover rare weapons, gear, and items. Be wary; nuking an area also causes more powerful enemies to show up, making it more difficult to survive. But don't be discouraged by this, the C.A.M.P. blueprint system makes it easy for players to quickly rebuild their homes, and if they're privy to an incoming threat, they can pack their things and move to a new location. As an online experience, player choice is incredibly important, going as far as giving players the freedom to choose who are the heroes and who are the villains. Early footage showcased multiple players engaging in combat and participating in friendly activities, which seems to indicate that players have the freedom to choose their paths in the world of Fallout 76.How Does Character Creation And Progression Work? There are similar character creation tools as Fallout 4. However, you're free to change your appearance at any point. In addition, you can also utilize the game's new photo mode during the creation process to better see how your character looks, as well as snap some shots you can share on social media. The SPECIAL system returns and it's a bit different. Like previous games, SPECIAL encompasses the following stats: Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, Luck. You're given one point to put into any of those stats every time you level up. The first thing you do when you emerge from the vault is pick a SPECIAL and then you pick a perk in that particular SPECIAL. Essentially, every SPECIAL is a pool of points for your perks. But unlike previous games, perks are now cards you can equip and unlock as you rank up in a given SPECIAL; though, you're free to swap cards out at any time if you want to alter your build. Each SPECIAL characteristic you develop has a perk card cap of 15. These perk cards can be enhanced further from one to five points to increase their power. You can obtain additional perk cards via Perk Card Packs (four random cards), which you earn every two levels initially (1-10), and then every 5 after that. You can also pick one perk card per level, usually from your SPECIAL choice. There are hundreds of Perks cards you can unlock, so naturally SPECIAL ranks cap out after a while (you gain a rank up in a SPECIAL each time you level up). At level 50, you'll stop increasing SPECIAL ranks, but you'll still get card packs. How Does PvP Work? When you shoot someone you do a little bit of damage, which can be equated to lightly slapping them in order to challenge them to a duel. In response to this, the other player can choose to ignore or engage. If they engage in a battle with you, they'll start to take full damage. The one who is killed in this consenting PvP match has the option to seek revenge. Doing so gives that person the opportunity to get double the rewards granted they're successful. If you'd rather choose to ignore a PvP match, there's no way to escape being killed--despite the small damage dealt to you during the initiation phases. However, if you are killed by a player under these circumstances, that player becomes a Wanted Murderer and will receive no rewards from having killed you.A Wanted Murderer is marked on the map as a red star and a bounty is placed on their head. Players looking to cash in on this bounty aren't visible on the Murderer's map. If the murderer is killed, the money from that bounty is taken out their stock. In order to give players time to properly acclimate to how Fallout 76 plays, PvP won't be available to players until level five. And if you perish from any PvP encounter, the only thing you'll lose is the junk you've been collecting, which can be reclaimed after death if not already picked up by other players. You can always store junk in stashes found around the world, so as to safeguard a portion of your stock. Armor and weapons are retained in your inventory after death. How It Plays: Our In-Depth PreviewWe recently got a hands-on with a build of Fallout 76. It plays similarly to Fallout 4, but it features some new additions that subtly shift the paradigm established by past entries in the series. We got to experience three hours of the game, exploring a decent chunk of the opening area while taking on quests and generally working cooperatively with the players around us. There's a lot to unpack about how the upcoming multiplayer open-world RPG, so be sure to watch the video above and read our full thoughts in our in-depth preview detailing what we got to play.Any Voice Chat? It's possible to chat with your teammates and even strangers you discover out in the world. It's area-based so your ability to hear other plays will vary. But if you want nothing to do with strangers, it's possible to mute their voices entirely.Guides And What To Do FirstFallout 76 is a massive game that just might overwhelm you right at the start. To help ease the pain of emerging from Vault 76, we've gathered together some recommendations of where to go first. But if you want a full rundown on stuff you should know before starting, check out our Fallout 76 beginner's guide. In addition, we have guides on Perk cards and Power Armor locations.Release DateFallout 76 is being developed for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and is currently scheduled to be released on November 14. Unfortunately, there's no word about a Nintendo Switch release, which didn't seem out of the question after the Skyrim re-release made it to that platform.Info from Gamespot.com

One of the most important pieces of the Persona series, and a major reason why we remember each game so fondly, is the music. Each mainline game and spin-off has its own memorable songs that encapsulate its defining moments. And with Persona 5: Dancing In Starlight, the evocative soundtrack that wonderfully captured the journey of Persona 5 is brought to the forefront for a fun, exhilarating rhythm game with its charming personalities taking center stage. Here, the rhythm gameplay system used in Persona 4: Dancing All Night makes a comeback. As songs play, you're tasked with hitting the corresponding notes that align with the six button inputs that border the screen. Notes come from the center and move outward to the corresponding input, with unison notes, double notes, holds, and DJ scratches (using the analog stick or L1/R1) keeping you on your toes. It's a system that's beginner friendly with lower difficulties and assist modifiers, but wildly challenging on the highest difficulty. There's an incredible satisfaction to nailing perfect combos as note patterns flow seamlessly with the tracklist. The audible claps, tambourine shakes, and scratches that come from these notes mesh impeccably with beat of the song. It's not far off to say that you feel the rhythm when note patterns start to come naturally as you grow familiar with each track.A perfect combo and dance routine in the song "Price" for Makoto Niijima. The style and swagger of the Phantom Thieves bursts at the seams in Dancing In Starlight; it's seen in a wink, nod, or smile as they move in ways that fit their personalities. They'll be getting down in familiar locations like Mementos, Shibuya Crossing, and Shujin Academy. Even deep within hostile palaces, they express themselves by going all out on the dance floor with an impressive fluidity. Tandem dances in Fever Time and group dances are choreographed with a natural imperfection, supported by the eclectic soundtrack. The style and swagger of the Phantom Thieves bursts at the seams in Dancing In Starlight; it's seen in a wink, nod, or smile as they move in ways that fit their personalities. The theme song "Groovy" is so beautifully drawn and animated that the unapologetic confidence of the Phantom Thieves comes through vividly--it's an inspiring microcosm of the original game's attitude. A number of hard-hitting songs like "Rivers In The Desert", "Blooming Villain", and "Yaldabaoth" are featured here alongside the more calming tones of "Life Goes On" and "Tokyo Daylight". And, of course, the best palace theme "Price" features Makoto throwing it down in front of Kaneshiro's bank in the Metaverse sky. The masterful fusion of jazz, pop, metal, and rock make for a great playlist that feels like a trip through the struggles and triumphs of Persona 5 all over again. There some decent remixes, like the house-style version of "Whims Of Fate", but many are a little underwhelming, such as the "Beneath The Mask" remix that doesn't quite make the same impact for a rhythm game. That's not to say they're bad songs, but with the bar set so high, you wish they had a bit more punch for the gameplay to thrive on.There are also a few shortcomings in Dancing In Starlight when it comes to presentation. "Life Will Change", an empowering song with infectious conviction is paired to a fairly cheesy music video. But what's much worse is that the female cast members (who are also high school students) get oversexualized in the Last Surprise music video, which is some sort of bizarre burlesque show that's out of touch and wholly unnecessary.Dancing In Starlight doesn't feature a traditional story mode, unlike its predecessor Persona 4: Dancing All Night. However, there are Social Events, which are scenes of dialogue where characters banter--these play out similar to a visual novel-style of Confidants in the original game. The overarching premise is that you and your crew are stuck in a dream state dictated by Caroline and Justine of the Velvet Room, and they're enforcing the one rule of Club Velvet: dance. Admittedly, it sounds silly, but it works to pave the way for some joyous moments in Social Events. You shouldn't expect much when it comes to further character development, although they embrace their newfound passion for dance. Conversations and references play off of what you already know about the cast; Ann's striving to be the next top model, Yusuke's enraptured by his artistic side, and Ryuji's as brash as ever. While these don't play into the high stakes and striking themes of the RPG, it's great to be with these characters again and watch the silly banter unfold, especially since the original English and Japanese voice casts return. You're also incentivized to play in different ways since each character has specific conditions for unlocking their Social Events, like passing several songs using modifiers or customizing characters during your time playing. Viewing scenes grants you these cosmetics, too, so the game naturally guides you to seeing most of its features. And the conclusion to Social Events rewards you with room visits; even if its just the attic of the Leblanc coffee shop or a crew member's room, working towards them is worthwhile as you get to see familiar places in first-person and take a closer look at a world you thought you already knew. The masterful fusion of jazz, pop, metal, and rock make for a great playlist that feels like a trip through the struggles and triumphs of Persona 5 all over again. It might take some adjusting to the overall premise, but it's fitting to see this cast getting footloose across Tokyo and the Metaverse. Dancing In Starlight shines the spotlight on the original RPG's rich, wide-ranging soundtrack and highlights some of the best work from series composer Shoji Meguro. Although many of Persona 5's tracks struck a chord because of their evocative attachments to the events of that game, these songs come back around to remind you just how special that journey was. And the fact that these amazing tracks are tied to a great rhythm gameplay system make this game a fantastic new way to enjoy Persona 5's tremendous music and revisit the Phantom Thieves.Info from Gamespot.com

"Wherever you are, we'll meet again," artist Yumi Kawamura sings at the closing of the theme song "Our Moment." It's a track that beautifully captures both the joy of seeing old friends again and bittersweet memories left by Persona 3. It's a sentiment that rings throughout Persona 3: Dancing In Moonlight, a wonderful rhythm game that celebrates the great RPG by reuniting its charming cast of characters and putting its incredible, unique soundtrack in the spotlight. The rhythm gameplay system first established in Persona 4: Dancing All Night returns; six button inputs border the screen and notes flow from the center out to the corresponding input. Double notes, holds, and DJ scratches (with the flick of the analog stick or with L1/R1) keep note patterns varied, and makes things delightfully hectic on the highest difficulty. There are plenty of beginner-friendly options as well with four difficulty settings and several modifiers for assistance. It's a fun rhythm system that's supported by note patterns that flow seamlessly with the fantastic tracklist--there's an undeniable satisfaction to nailing perfect combos as the audible claps, tambourines, and scratches sync with the beat of the song.Yukari's on her way to a perfect combo and dance routine in front of the Paulownia Mall fountain.I'll be the first to admit that there's a thematic dissonance between dancing in flashy outfits and Persona 3's darker tone, which might be off-putting for some die-hard fans of that game. Still, it's an absolute delight to be with the SEES crew again, reincarnated in 3D models in the same vein as Persona 5's art style. It's a reimagining of Yukari's cheerful demeanor, Mitsuru's stern attitude, and Junpei's goofiness. Everyone goes all out and dances with impressive fluidity, especially with how partner/group dances are choreographed with natural imperfections. I do wish we had the fearless squad member Shinji from the start, but he's available in a DLC track. And sadly, the ferocious, adorable Shiba Inu Koromaru and the Persona 3 Portable female protagonist are missing. Regardless, there's an overwhelming sense of joy in seeing these characters together again. And the fact that old locations are renovated with modern visuals makes them feel new--the Iwatodai Dorms, Port Island Station, Paulownia Mall, Gekkoukan High School, Tartarus, it's all here. The remixes and remasters evoke not just a sense of nostalgia, but have a striking quality that breathes new life into the series. Most of all, Dancing In Moonlight stands out with a tracklist that spans the course of Persona 3's history, which includes songs from Persona 3 FES, Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, and Persona 3 Portable. It gives a musical variety that's attached to so many great memories but that's also exciting to play. The remixes and remasters evoke not just a sense of nostalgia, but have a striking quality that breathes new life into the series. "Heartful Cry" has an unrelenting melodic-punk twist, and "Memories Of You" gets an electro-pop remix that remains heartfelt. "When The Moon Reaches For The Stars" and "Light the Fire Up In the Night" are have their full-length versions that slap harder than ever. The ending montage for "Brand New Days" and video for "Burn My Dread: Last Battle"--two songs on opposite ends of the emotional spectrum--capture their vibes perfectly. Even the Persona Super Live 2017 performance of the Persona Q boss theme "Laser Beam" made it into the tracklist. It may not be playable, but the song that fills the background during conversations, which samples the melody of "Our Moment" and the backing vocals of "Want To Be Close", is a soothing track that beautifully blends the old and new. Dancing In Moonlight carries the lasting impact of Persona 3's soundtrack.Unlike Persona 4: Dancing All Night, there is no traditional story mode; outside of dancing, there are Social Events. The overarching premise is that SEES gets stuck in a dream state where Elizabeth from the Velvet Room asks the crew to dance their hearts out. It's silly, but it's enough to provide the context necessary for Social Events; a series of jovial scenes where characters simply banter. There isn't much in terms of new character development, though they do have a newfound determination to dance. Social Events play off of what you already know about the cast; Akihiko is still obsessed with getting stronger and counting calories, Aigis is still working her way around typical human mannerisms, and Fuuka continues to embrace her supportive role. It's wonderful to hang out with them again and watch conversations play out, especially since most of the original voice cast has returned--you also have the option for the original Japanese voice acting.Still, it's an absolute delight to be with the SEES crew again, reincarnated in 3D models in the same vein as Persona 5's art style. It's a reimagining of Yukari's cheerful demeanor, Mitsuru's stern attitude, and Junpei's goofiness.Unlocking outfits and accessories for your squad is also tied to viewing Social Events, so if you're into customizing their getups, it's further incentive to hang out. Outfits range from modest to utterly ridiculous; the Gekkoukan tracksuit and casual winter clothes look great, but putting Junpei into a snowman costume and Ken in a reindeer suit is hilarious. Social Events also provide motivation for playing in different ways since each character has specific conditions for unlocking their scenes, like passing songs using certain modifiers or wearing several outfits or accessories. It's well worth it, especially for the room visits. Even if it's just the team's dorm rooms, visiting these places in first-person brings to life characters you've known for years.Compliments from Mitsuru are hard to come by, great work Fuuka.Persona 3: Dancing In Moonlight puts the spotlight on one of the strongest parts of the entire series: the music. Its fusion of pop, rock, hip-hop, electronica showcases some of the incredible work of series composer Shoji Meguro and company. Dancing In Moonlight is particularly special because of the strong remixes and remasters of familiar songs, recreations of places we've been, and reimagination of characters we've long known. You may find the overall premise a little strange, but if you let loose--just as the SEES crew has done--you'll find a brilliant rhythm game weaved into an amazing, evocative soundtrack.Info from Gamespot.com

The next Fortnite update is coming very soon. Epic Games has announced that the v6.31 update will arrive on Tuesday, November 27, with server downtime expected to begin that day at 2 AM PT / 5 AM ET / 10 AM GMT / 8 PM AEST.Epic didn't provide a full list of changes coming with this update, but the wording and capitalisation of the developer's statement contains some clues. The "pump up" mention is likely a reference to the Pump Shotgun, which is a Legendary weapon in the game. According to FortniteIntel, the update will improve the effectiveness of the shotgun by boosting its close-quarter damage, while reducing its damage at range. The Fortnite in-game news feed shots that Epic and Legendary variants of the Pump Shotgun are coming soon, along with new outfits.Pump up your squad for the Legendary v6.31 update.Downtime begins Tuesday, November 27 at 5 AM ET (1000 UTC). — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) November 26, 2018Writing on Reddit, Epic said it's also looking into fixing a bug where players are able to continue walk around the battlefield even if they're eliminated. Ubisoft has announced the full list of changes coming to Rainbow Six Siege in the Operation Wind Bastion update. The release of Wind Bastion marks the start of Siege's Year 3, Season 4, which is the final season of 2018. You can try Operation Wind Bastion's new map and Operators on the PC version's test servers right now.The biggest changes coming to Siege in Operation Wind Bastion are two new Operators and an additional multiplayer map. Nomad is the new Attacker Operator, whose airjab launcher allows her to send Defenders flying through the air out of cover or through walls. Kaid is the new Defender Operator, whose electroclaws can electrify multiple reinforced walls and hatches, as well as barbed wire and deployable shields from a distance--which makes him seem massively overpowered. The new map, called Fortress, offers numerous roof access points for Attackers, as well as several staircases and ladders for Defenders to set up traps and choke points.Operation Wind Bastion also includes additional weapon skins and a headgear bundle. Shop navigation will also be updated to let you see weapons in fullscreen and buy new items directly from the News tab. Five older Operators are also receiving balancing changes. Mute, Clash, and Smoke are being buffed, while Lesion and Zofia are being nerfed. The full list of changes can be read in Operation Wind Bastion's patch notes, but we've outlined the highlights below.Operation Wind Bastion In-Game Tweaks And Operator ChangesOperator BalancingMute SMG-11 has been added as a secondarySlight increase to SMG-11 DamageClash Electric Damage increased from 3 to 5 damage per tickSmoke Slight increase to SMG-11 DamageLesion Slight decrease to T-5 SMGZofia Reduced the total number of concussion grenades from 3 to 2General Tweaks & ImprovementsPlaylist ChangesRanked Play BankClubhouseOregonKafeConsulateChaletBorderCoastlineSkyscraperVillaHerefordTheme ParkFortressCasual Play HousePlaneFavelaKanalYachtTowerMain Bug FixesGameplayFixed - Cyber Monday is upon us, bringing all sorts of great deals on consoles, games, and accessories. You can even snag a few different deals on a brand new Nintendo Switch. But not all deals are created equal, and one in particular is so off-the-wall it warrants attention.Helzberg Diamonds, the jewelry retailer, is offering a free Nintendo Switch console with the purchase of $1,199 or more. Just make sure to use the promotional code "Nintendo" at checkout. The deal isn't terrible if you were in the market for jewelry anyway, but it's a pretty circuitous route to a new game system. Helzberg is also offering similar Cyber Monday deals that offer a Vizio TV or Google Home with purchases at different amounts. If you'd like a Nintendo Switch for a bit cheaper--and without the diamonds--you have plenty of options. GameStop is selling the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle and throwing in a $50 GameStop gift card. Best Buy and Amazon are both offering it with a $35 eShop card.Plus Nintendo's digital Eshop itself is having a Cyber Monday sale, and you can also snag a good deal on a Pro Controller and MicroSD cards to round out your system purchase. Check out all of our Cyber Monday roundups for more deals on games, consoles, accessories, movies, and more.Info from Gamespot.com

It's now Cyber Monday, making this your last chance to take advantage of the Steam Autumn sale. While today has brought with it new sales at places like GameStop, Steam's sale remains unchanged; you can get the same deals as last week, but you have to act by Tuesday morning (US time) if you're interested.Black Friday itself has now passed, but that doesn't mean your chance to get some cheap games has ended. Valve has already kicked off its Steam sale to cover both Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and that will be continuing for the next few days. Those who want cheap PC games will find it's hard to beat the annual Steam sale, which is ongoing. We've got a roundup of the best Steam game deals to help you sort through everything, and you can see some highlights below. The Steam Autumn Sale lasts through November 27 at 10 AM PT. The sale prices have gone live, offering good deals on NBA 2K19 ($30), Civilization 6 ($18) and its Rise and Fall downloadable content ($20), Dead Cells ($20), and more. Steam is also offering discounts on some of its own hardware, like 30% off a Steam Controller, or the discontinued and nearly-depleted Steam Link for $2.50. Check below for highlights of some of the best deals. Keep in mind that in some cases you may be better off shopping at other PC specialists like Fanatical, which give Steam codes. The storefront has also opened its nominees for the Steam Awards. You can vote for your Game of the Year and VR Game of the Year, along with more esoteric categories. The Labor of Love Award gives accolades for continued support of an older game, while the Better With Friends Award celebrates multiplayer experiences. The Best Alternate History Award even awards games that have created their own unique twist on the past. Participating in the awards can earn you XP and badges.Given that Black Friday is a retail holiday, there are a lot more sales at brick-and-mortar stores as well as online retailers offering physical goods.
