HBO's popular fantasy show Game of Thrones wraps up next year with its eighth and final season, and the network is doing something special as a sendoff. A Game of Thrones reunion special featuring past and present Game of Thrones actors is coming. HBO shot the special in Belfast earlier this year, and comedian/late night host Conan O'Brien hosted. The untitled Game of Thrones special won't air on HBO, however. EW reports it'll actually be available through a brand-new home video box set featuring Seasons 1-8. This package is set to launch sometime in 2019 after the final season wraps up. According to EW, the cast of the final Game of Thrones season was "heavily involved" with the reunion special. Additionally, Sean Bean, who played Ned Stark in Season 1, will be featured in the special. EW reports that Khal Drogo actor Jason Momoa traveled to Belfast this year, but it might have only been as a personal visit as a fan of the show. It remains to be seen if HBO will release the reunion special outside of the box set. Keeping it exclusive to the box set, at least for a period of time, would be an understandable business move.Game of Thrones Season 8 is set to premiere in April 2019, and the final season will have "surprises and shocking moments."While Game of Thrones is ending, HBO is producing a spinoff that begins production in 2019. Naomi Watts is set to play one of the leads, while more casting details have also come to light.Info from Gamespot.com

The beta for Red Dead Online is out, and it introduces several new multiplayer modes for players to try out. One of the new additions, titled Make it Count, is Red Dead Redemption 2's take on a battle royale mode. There are two versions of Make it Count, both outlined on Rockstar's blog. The first is a battle royale where players are armed with only a bow and a handful of arrows, and each person needs to loot extra arrows from the enemies they kill. The second is the same concept, but players must rely on throwing knives instead. Like Fortnite and Black Ops 4's Blackout, in both versions of Make it Count, the safe area on the battlefield shrinks over time and forces the survivors closer together.Red Dead Online is still in beta and only early adopters and RDR2 Ultimate Edition owners can access it for now. In Red Dead Online, players can form their own posse, build a camp, and team up in story-based co-op missions. Like GTA Online, there's free roam as well, where players can complete challenges, fish, or simply explore. Rockstar describes Red Dead Online as a "continually expanding experience" and plans to continue updating the beta and implement further additions going forward. If you don't have the Ultimate Edition of Red Dead 2, you'll have to wait a bit to get into the beta. Rockstar has scheduled a gradual rollout for beta invites, with the second wave of players being added to the beta on November 28. Only those who played RDR2 on the day it launched, October 26, will be part of the second wave that is now live. Anyone who started playing between October 26 and October 29 will get access to the beta on November 29. Everyone else will gain access on November 30. Rockstar hopes this schedule will help the developer "ease into the beta" and "mitigate major issues."Red Dead Online is available for Xbox One and PS4.Info from Gamespot.com

Ubisoft has released the launch trailer for Legacy of the First Blade - Episode 1: Hunted, the first major DLC expansion for Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Divided into three episodes, Legacy of the First Blade tells the story of Kassandra/Alexios meeting the first person to wield the Assassins' iconic hidden blade. Hunted launches on December 4.The launch trailer reveals further details about the upcoming DLC, including the faces of the friends and foes that Kassandra/Alexios will meet. We finally get our first good look at the man who shows Kassandra/Alexios the hidden blade. Assassin's Creed II established Darius I, son of the Persian king Xerxes, as the first recorded person to use a hidden blade, but this will be the first time the man has appeared in a mainline Assassin's Creed game since Ezio Auditore explored his tomb. The trailer also shows a new Persian-based enemy group trying to kill Kassandra/Alexios. Not much is revealed about them other than that they are hunting down Odyssey's protagonist for being one of "the tainted ones." The enemies are wearing masks though, some of which look a lot like those worn by the members of the Order of Ancients in Assassin's Creed Origins.Ubisoft previously announced that each episode of Legacy of the First Blade will release roughly six weeks apart, so we can probably expect Episode 2: Shadow Heritage in January 2019 and Episode 3: Bloodline in late February or early March. The second major Odyssey DLC, The Fate of Atlantis, is also divided into three episodes and scheduled to premier in Spring 2019. Between each episode of both DLCs, Odyssey is getting smaller expansions titled The Lost Tales of Greece. Odyssey's DLC is all the Assassin's Creed that fans will be getting in 2019, as Ubisoft has announced there will be no new game for the series next year.Assassin's Creed Odyssey is available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.Info from Gamespot.com

There's a bunch of new anime series airing on Netflix, Amazon, Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hidive right now. Here are our seven top recommendations for the fall 2018 season.Of all the anime this season, Bloom Into You is the must watch. This love story between two high school girls also addresses the pressures of living with low self-worth and the struggles of understanding asexual love. Despite the heaviness of the story's drama, there are both brief snippets of hilarity and quiet moments of internal resilience that draw you into the changing dynamic between the second-year student council president--who can't escape her dead sister's shadow--and the young first-year--who dreams of falling in love but doesn't feel the emotions that manga and music say she should.Animated by Troyca, Inc--the studio responsible for the spectacular 2017 anime Re:Creators--and featuring music by Michiru Oshima--who's composed music for anime like Fullmetal Alchemist and video games like The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess--Bloom Into You might be the most gorgeous anime this season, both to watch and listen to. The series is exclusively airing on Hidive in both Japanese and English.Zombie Land Saga is about an ordinary high school girl who leaves her house to start her first day of school--only to be struck and killed by a passing truck. She wakes up 10 years later, revived as a zombie by an eccentric young man who wants to manage an idol group entirely composed of the living dead. The story mixes together idol tropes and common zombie story stereotypes to create something truly bizarre, but it's all surprisingly fun to watch. The series airs in English on Funimation and in Japanese on Crunchyroll.A bit more somber, Iroduku: The World in Colors is a series about a teenage witch, named Hitomi, who's colorblind and lives in the year 2078. That is, until her grandmother transports Hitomi 60 years into the past to 2018. Now lost in a world she doesn't completely recognize and lacking the know-how to complete certain tasks--like needing paper money to pay for things--Hitomi struggles to find the teenager who will one day grow up to be her grandmother so she can go home. The anime is already setting itself up to explore similar themes to what we saw in 2016's Orange. Which isn't surprising, as Yuuko Kakihara--who worked on the script for five of Orange's episodes--is the writer for The World in Colors. This season also features a few new isekai--stories where a normal person from our world becomes trapped in another--but the one you want to watch is That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime. It's pretty much exactly about what the name implies. A dude from our world dies and he's reborn as a cute little blob of sentient goo in a fantasy world of dragons and goblins. The series is a little weird at first, but stick with it--the manga that the anime is based on goes to some charming places. The show is airing in the original Japanese on Crunchyroll and in English on Funimation.Ms. Vampire who lives in my neighborhood is a cute story about a doll-loving middle-schooler moving in with a centuries-old otaku vampire who looks to be no older than a high school first-year. The first episode tackles the "but where are the parents" problem that most anime have with a humorous twist, and flips the regular person meeting a vampire dynamic by having the normal girl be the strange one with habits that are difficult to comprehend. The first episode of Ms. Vampire who lives in my neighborhood possesses tremendous comedic timing and plays off your expectations of slice-of-life tropes in pretty hilarious ways. You can watch the anime on Crunchyroll.Golden Kamuy returns on Crunchyroll and Funimation with a second season, continuing the adventures of our favorite band of ridiculous treasure seekers who are racing to find escaped convicts that have strange tattoos all over their bodies. When combined, the tattoos complete a map that leads to a massive pile of gold, which pretty much everyone in the anime wants for their own personal reasons. Golden Kamuy's first season aired this past spring, and ended fairly abruptly in the middle of the anime's story, so it's good to see the show continue again so quickly.Castlevania also got its second season this fall. Once again, the anime is exclusive to Netflix, but that also means the entire season is already out. Capturing the aesthetic of the video game Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Castlevania the anime portrays the bloody tale of Trevor Belmont's quest to defeat Dracula. Castlevania delves into murder, gore, and heroes and villains that are both right in their own way and also deeply flawed. Think Berserk or Devilman Crybaby. Castlevania can be unsettling at times, but the show captures the essence of the Castlevania video game because of itThe full list of anime series and movies that have been confirmed to air this fall on Amazon, Crunchyroll, Funimation, Hidive, and Netflix are listed below. We'll update the list if additional titles are announced.Fall 2018 Anime Release Date Schedule (U.S.)AmazonOctober 5 Boarding School JulietIroduku: The World in ColorsOctober 11 Le Cirque de KarakuriCrunchyrollOctober 1 That Time I Go Reincarnated as a SlimeOctober 3 RErideD: Derrida, who leaps through timeOctober 4 Zombie Land SagaOctober 5 Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 5: Golden WindOctober 6 Goblin SlayerRadiantSSSS GridmanSword Art Online: AlicizationOctober 7 Ulysses: Jeanne d'Arc and the Alchemist KnightOctober 8 Golden Kamuy (Season 2)October 12 Senran Kagura Shinovi MasterFunimationOctober 1 Space Battleship Tiramisu Zwei (Season 2)That Time I Go Reincarnated as a SlimeOctober 6 Ace Attorney (Season 2)SSSS GridmanOctober 8 Golden Kamuy (Season 2)October 9 Tokyo Ghoul:re (Season 2)HidiveOctober 1 The Girl in TwilightOctober 5 Bloom Into YouOctober 7 Release The SpyceNetflixOctober 3 Violet Evergarden: SpecialOctober 15 The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The CommandmentsOctober 26 Castlevania (Season 2)October 30 Fate/EXTRA Last Encore: Illustrias Geocentrism TheoryInfo from Gamespot.com

After breaking out of jail and hiding in a bunker, it didn't take Archie Andrews (KJ Apa) long to realize Riverdale wasn't big enough for both Hiram Lodge (Mark Consuelos) and himself. Warning: The following contains spoilers for the November 28 episode of Riverdale, "Manhunter."So with his best friend Jughead (Cole Sprouse) in tow, Archie has broken things off with his girlfriend Veronica (Camila Mendes) and hit the road. Where the two friends will end up is anybody's guess, but according to Sprouse and Apa, it's going to make for a very different Riverdale in upcoming episodes."It's really an Archie-Jughead narrative, which is kind of in rare supply," Sprouse told GameSpot and other reporters during a visit to Riverdale's set. "So you get that for a good chunk of episodes. It's really just Archie and Jughead for a little bit and it's a lot of fun and they’re on the lam and they're running away, kind of [like] Stand By Me. It's really fun."He's not wrong when pointing out that there are very few storylines centered on the friendship between Archie and Jughead. While they are the best of friends in comic books, the two are so heavily weighed down by the trials and tribulations in living in a horrible and dangerous town like Riverdale to have any time to be friends. Now, with Riverdale in their rear-view, thanks to Hiram's obsession with destroying this teenager, Archie can have an adventure with his buddy, wherever it may take them. Of course, that doesn't mean it'll last too long. Eventually, both will have to come back to Riverdale. As Apa tells it, though, they may not come home at the same time."Eventually, they end up finding themselves having to kind of -- like the fork in the road," he said. "They have to go their separate ways at some point."What breaks them up remains to be seen, but there's plenty unraveling in Riverdale that's going to need their attention. Betty (Lili Reinhart) is locked up in Sisters of Quiet Mercy, while her mom has run off to join a cult. The Gargoyle King is leaving a trailer of bodies because some people take Dungeons and Dragons too seriously, and Hiram is seemingly involved in every dastardly thing happening within city limits. Archie and Jughead can only ignore the atrocities literally happening in their backyard for so long.Riverdale airs Wednesdays at 8 PM ET on The CW. Info from Gamespot.com

Every week, the video streaming giant Netflix releases plenty of content for its subscribers, and it can be a bit hard to keep up with. Luckily, we have a breakdown of what's coming this week and what to keep your eye on.The most notable movie coming to Netflix this week is the 2004 Edgar Wright zombie satire Shaun of the Dead on December 1. Simon Pegg stars as the titular Shaun, who is trying to win back his ex-girlfriend in the midst of the zombie apocalypse. The movie has a huge cult following, and although it pokes fun at zombie horror, it's also one of the best films in that genre. The Last Dragon also comes to Netflix on December 1. The 1985 movie follows "Bruce" Leroy Green, a martial artist in New York City, who wants to be come as good as his idol, Bruce Leroy. He wants to become a true martial arts master and obtain "the glow," but standing in his way is the Shogun of Harlem, Sho'nuff, who sees Leroy as an obstacle on his path to also becoming a master. It's a very '80s but very fun movie, and almost everything Sho'nuff says is highly quotable, coming in at the tail end of America's '80s obsession with martial arts. And although it came out late last week, I highly recommend watching Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Gauntlet, which is essentially the second season of the series on Netflix. The Mac and Me episode is fantastic and makes me wonder why I liked that movie as a kid so much, as it was the worst.Below, you'll find the full list of what's hitting Netflix for the week of November 25, and make sure to check out the full list for December to find out what's coming in the upcoming weeks.New To Netflix This Week:Avail. 11/25/18My Little Pony Friendship is Magic: Best Gift EverAvail. 11/27/18Bumping Mics with Jeff Ross & Dave Attel-- NETFLIX ORIGINALAvail. 11/29/18Pocoyo: Season 4Available 12/1/188 MileAstro BoyBattle-- NETFLIX FILMBride of ChuckyChristineCloudy with a Chance of MeatballsCrossroads: One Two Jaga-- NETFLIX FILMFridayFriday After NextHellboyMan vs Wild with Sunny Leone: Season 1Meet Joe BlackMemories of the Alhambra (Streaming Every Saturday)-- NETFLIX ORIGINALMy Bloody ValentineNext FridayReindeer GamesSeven PoundsShaun of the DeadTerminator SalvationThe Big LebowskiThe Great British Baking Show: Masterclass: Season 5 MasterclassesThe Last DragonThe Man Who Knew Too LittleInfo from Gamespot.com

Since the release of Destiny 2's Forsaken DLC in September, Bungie has done a better job than in the past of addressing complaints about content droughts. The weekly reset has routinely brought new content over the past few months, and it appears that the start of the new season and launch of the Black Armory DLC will see that continue in the coming weeks and beyond.Alongside the newly released vidoc (watch it above) and a new update, Bungie has detailed much of the new content that's on the way. The Black Armory is the first piece of the Annual Pass, a set of paid expansions and content that will launch between now and August 2019. Season 5--Season of the Forge--officially begins today, November 27, with a bunch of new Exotics and items available now. The Black Armory itself launches on December 4, but that will be followed by a gradual rollout of more events and other happenings. As part of Bungie's attempt to be more transparent about what to expect, it's released both a short-term and long-term calendar of new content. For Annual Pass owners, new Forges (part of the Black Armory DLC) will unlock throughout December, while the new Raid--Scourge of the Past--launches on December 7. A new Exotic quest called The Draw will be available starting on January 29; it's one of several new Exotics you can collect. In terms of what all Destiny 2 players can access, The Dawning, the annual Christmas/holiday-themed event, begins on December 11. That's followed by another event, the Valentine's Day-themed Crimson Days, on February 5.The long-term calendar highlights some other notable additions to come through August--and there's a ton to take in. This includes a "new Gambit experience," additional max Power level increases, Xur bounties, a new six-player matchmade activity, another new Raid, and more. While the schedule could still change, it seems clear that Destiny 2 players will have a lot to keep them busy in the year to come. Info from Gamespot.com

Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse is still weeks away, but Sony already has plans to expand its world. The studio is apparently planning for both a sequel and a female-centered spin-off, with some notable talent attached. The Hollywood Reporter reports that Avatar: The Last Airbender and Voltron's Joaquim Dos Santos has been brought on to direct the sequel, with David Callaham (The Expendables, Wonder Woman 1984) writing. Meanwhile, Lauren Montgomery (Voltron, Batman: Year One) is set to direct another Spider-verse movie starring the female heroes, with Bek Smith (Zoo) writing. The story of the sequel has not been detailed, but it's expected to follow the upcoming film that uses Miles Morales as its central character. The spin-off is similarly mysterious, but it's reportedly going to focus on Spider-Gwen, aka Ghost Spider. She's one of two female Spiders in the upcoming film--alongside Penny Parker, the manga-inspired pilot of a SP//dr mech suit.Other potential female Spider-verse characters could include Spider-Woman, Madame Web, Spider-Girl, and Silk. It's unclear which of these, if any, are under consideration.Into The Spider-Verse brings together interpretations of the character from across the spectrum: Peter Parker as an elder and experienced Spider-Man who takes Miles Morales' newly initiated Spidey under his wing, along with Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man Noir, Penny Parker, and even Spider-Ham.The trailers have implied a much wider universe of Spider-people, though, even including an Easter egg from the PS4 game. Similarly, an ongoing Spidergeddon comic event has included all manner of alternative Spider-man interpretations, from Uncle Ben as Spider-Man to Spiders-Man--a swarm of sentient spiders wearing a suit. Wherever Sony takes the sequel, it has plenty of material to work from.Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse is coming on December 14.Info from Gamespot.com

As we close in on the end of November, we also close in on Amazon Prime members missing out on their chance to download the month's free PC games. All you have to do is link your account to Twitch, and you'll get a new batch of PC games for free each month. The number of free games varies, but this month you can download four games at no additional cost. The biggest title on the list is Overcooked, a game that involves up to four players working together to prepare meals as orders come in. Each level takes place in a different kitchen, and as you progress the layouts become less and less hospitable for cooking. For instance, one level is set on a slippery iceberg and another on a busy street. Not to be confused with Overcooked is Overload, the next free game for November. It's an exploration-based first-person shooter that's set in zero gravity. Then there's AER: Memories of Old, an adventure game that takes place on a series of islands that are floating in the sky. Luckily, you can turn into a bird to travel between them. Rounding out this month's freebies is the 12th century point-and-click adventure game The Pillars of the Earth. You can claim all of these games here, but note you'll need the Twitch desktop app for Windows to download them. While you're on the site, make sure to grab any other free items for Prime members you might have missed, including cowboy gear for PUBG and a Golden Loot Box for Overwatch.Twitch Prime's Free Games For November 2018OvercookedOverloadAER: Memories of OldThe Pillars of the EarthInfo from Gamespot.com

The end of November will be here before you know it, which means Xbox Live Gold members are running out of days to download this month's games for free. The titles in question are Race the Sun for Xbox One and Dante's Inferno for Xbox 360. As with all Games with Gold, the latter is also playable on Xbox One thanks to backwards compatibility.Race the Sun is an endless flying game in which you pilot a solar-powered aircraft that soars toward the setting sun on the horizon. If the sun goes down, you'll run out of power, ending your run. To keep flying (and accumulating points), you need to avoid the many obstacles in your way and make good use of speed boosts and other upgrades you can collect. In GameSpot's 8/10 Race the Sun review, Chris Watters wrote, "The smooth sensation of flight through the austere landscape is both relaxing and intense, bringing with it the joy of escaping danger and the agony of meeting with disaster. Objectives and relays capitalize on these core mechanics, building out ways to enjoy the game beyond the basic play experience."Dante's Inferno is a God of War-like brawler that's inspired by an Italian epic poem. You play as Dante, a Templar knight who battles through nine circles of Hell to rescue his beloved from Lucifer himself. In our 6.5/10 Dante's Inferno review, Tom McShae wrote, "Dante's Inferno is certainly fun during those hectic first few hours, but there is little reason to play beyond those parts. It's not worth visiting hell without the promise of heaven on the other side."And if you haven't picked it up yet, Xbox Live Gold subscribers can still grab Battlefield 1 for free between now and the end of November. It might whet your appetite for Battlefield V, which launches later this month.November 2018 Games with GoldXbox OneBattlefield 1 (November 1-30)Race the Sun (November 16-December 15)Victor Vran (September 16-November 15)Xbox 360Assassin's Creed (November 1-15)Dante's Inferno (November 16-30) Info from Gamespot.com

While Venom wasn't a critical success, it made over $800 million internationally at the box office during its theatrical run. And soon, those who enjoyed the movie can pick up a copy for themselves, which will be packed with extras.Venom hits the digital market on December 11 and will get a home release--on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K--on December 18, and both releases will contain a slew of special features giving viewers greater insight into the movie. This includes three deleted scenes, one of which is an extended version of the post-credit sequence revealing a pretty big name Marvel villain. Also, there is a special feature titled "Symbiote Secrets," which explains the hidden Easter eggs throughout the movie. With spotty CGI, poorly drawn characters, tonal inconsistency including forced "edginess" and awkward humor, sidelined female characters, and even cringeworthy licensed musical cues, it feels like a relic from the distant, pre-Marvel Cinematic Universe past."Venom Special Features:Venom Mode: When selecting this mode the film will engage informative pop-ups throughout the film to provide insight on the movie’s relationship to the comics, and to reveal hidden references that even a seasoned Venom-fan may have missed!Deleted & Extended Scenes: These deleted and extended scenes will give fans even more of the Venom action they loved in theaters!Ride to Hospital – Eddie and Venom take a ride to the hospital.Car Alarm – Let’s just say that Venom is not fond of car alarms.San Quentin – Extended post-credits scene at San Quentin. From Symbiote to Screen: A mini documentary about the history of Venom in comics and his journey to the big screen. Avengers 4 is already among the most anticipated movies of 2019, promising to resolve not just the cliffhanger left by Infinity War, but the entire last decade of Marvel films. The public hasn't even seen a trailer yet, but there's reason to believe that may change soon. The ArcLight Hollywood is hosting a special screening of the film tomorrow evening, November 28, which will be followed by a Q&A from the co-directors, the Russo brothers. The original Infinity War trailer premiered on November 29. Marvel is publishing a "Prelude" comic on December 5, before which we expect the title of Avengers 4 to be revealed. Plus we already know that the Avengers 4 trailer is coming sometime this year.Putting all the pieces together, it seems reasonably likely that tomorrow's ArcLight event will premiere the trailer to the small audience in attendance. Then, the full trailer could drop on the Internet later in the evening or the following day--the one-year anniversary of the last trailer. And it would pave the way for the title reveal in time for the comic. The title for Avengers 4 has been kept under wraps, though the Russos have dropped cryptic hints. So far the most likely one appears to be Avengers: End Game, a reference to a line (and major plot point) from Doctor Strange in Infinity War.We expect Avengers 4 to conclude the Thanos arc of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. First teased in a post-credits sequence in the original Avengers film, Thanos has not interacted with the MCU heroes directly until Infinity War. In that film his full plan for the Infinity Gauntlet was revealed: to obtain the power to snuff out all life in the galaxy by sheer will and a snap of his fingers. The resulting events killed off lots of well-established characters in the MCU, leaving a cliffhanger ending for Avengers 4.Before it comes, though, we'll be getting a dose of reinforcements. In a post-credits sequence in Infinity War, Nick Fury calls in one last contingency plan: Captain Marvel. The implication is that she'll be the heroes' trump card, and we'll see exactly why--and where she's been all this time--in her own standalone movie on March 8, 2019. Avengers 4 will follow on May 3.Info from Gamespot.com
