With a new Destiny 2 DLC, The Black Armory, launching next week, Bungie has released the game's latest major update. Patch 2.1.0 is out now, and while we'll have to wait for the DLC for the big nenw content, this free does mark the start of Season 5--the Season of the Forge--and add a wide variety of new items as well as numerous changes and tweaks that are detailed in the full patch notes. [Update: There was no mention of Xur in the patch notes, but he's now shown for the first time in Season 5 with two repeat items from last week. It's good to know some things never change.]When you first log in with the update installed, you'll likely want to head to Tess at Eververse first. There you'll be able to see the season's new Bright Engram, the Etched Engram, and its contents. This includes some awesome-looking cosmetics and other Exotics items; there's a firey sparrow, new Exotic weapon ornaments, and much more to collect. You can see a handful of these below. As for the patch notes, a variety of weapons have been tweaked. Prometheus Lens gets a damage buff, while Ace of Spades' Memento Mori perk has been "reduced to five bullets, but can now be refreshed on reload without having to get rid of all the bonus damage bullets." Machine guns get a slight accuracy boost, while submachine guns get slightly increased range.Crucible sees the return of Mayhem as a 6v6 playlist, and both Lockdown and Showdown are back in a rotating playlist. Shaxx has new voicelines you'll encounter across an assortment of modes. Shaxx also has new items for direct purchase, as well as new seasonal items and a pinnacle weapon quest. Progression-wise, Valor and Glory now work like Gambit ranks, as they are each divided into three sub-ranks. Legend, however, is not divided into subranks, and you don't have to win at Legend rank to increase your Valor.Gambit sees progression changes of its own, as rewards should "better match Valor and Glory;" ranking up a subdivision will net you a guaranteed piece of Legendary Gambit gear. Gambit bounties reward twice as many Infamy points as before, and they should be easier to complete. The catch-up mechanic has also been adjusted so that the team in the lead has a better chance of holding onto that lead. The full patch notes can be seen below or on Bungie's website. The developer has also revealed new Exotics coming with the Black Armory DLC, as well a roadmap of Destiny 2 content updates.Destiny 2 Update 2.1.0 Patch NotesSandboxSupersChaos ReachFixed an issue in which having multiple Chaos Reach beams active at one time caused their visual effects to merge togetherFixed an issue to allow Chaos Reach beams to penetrate friendly Banner ShieldsFixed an issue in which Chaos Reach did not damage Taken BlightsNote: Changes to Chaos Reach Cancellation will come with Destiny 2 Update 2.1.1, scheduled for 12/4/2018Nova WarpFixed an issue in which Nova Warp would sometimes fail to detonate on release.SentinelFixed an issue in which Sentinel Shields and Banner Shields would lose energy when guarding near friendly detonations (most notably Thundercrash)Spectral BladesRetuned the Spectral Blades Super to increase the reliability of melee attacks in PvP and to bolster the effectiveness of Super’s stealth capabilities More information here: This Week at Bungie – 11/08/2018Burning MaulDecreased camera shake and screen flash on hit in an attempt to alleviate feelings of motion sickness when using the Burning Maul SuperThundercrashAdjusted camera during flight sequence in an attempt to alleviate feelings of motion sickness when using Thundercrash SuperExotic ArmorFixed an issue in which Ophidian Aspect was not increasing the melee range on various Warlock charged melees (Igniting Touch, Ball Lightning, Entropic Pull, Devour, and Atomic Breach)Fixed an issue in which buffs granted by Lunafaction Boots would last for only 15 seconds inside Well of Radiance rather than the entire durationFixed an issue on Ursa Furiosa so that Super gain from guarding is more consistent between PvE and PvPWeaponsWarden’s LawReplaced perks on Warden's Law that did not function properly with the weapon's archetype Triple Tap replaced with Feeding FrenzyFourth Time's the Charm replaced with Zen MomentWarden's Law now has bullet contrailsUpdated the intrinsic perk text on Warden's Law to distinguish it from Aggressive Burst SidearmsHigh-Impact Scout RiflesHigh-Impact Scout Rifle damage increased by 1.87% Dev commentary: Previously it was possible to, at VERY high resilience levels, survive three headshots from a high impact scout rifle. The Elder Scrolls Blades has been delayed. The first mobile installment in Bethesda's long-running RPG series was originally slated to hit iOS and Android devices sometime this fall, but according to the series' official Twitter account, it will now arrive in early 2019.Bethesda hasn't shared any further details on the game's new release window, nor did it provide a reason for the delay. However, the company says that players are still able to pre-register for The Elder Scrolls Blades on its website. Doing this will grant you early access to the game ahead of its launch, although we likewise don't yet know when this early access period will begin.First announced during Bethesda's E3 2018 presentation, The Elder Scrolls Blades is billed as a "pure Elder Scrolls game" with "console-quality graphics." Unlike recent console installments such as Skyrim, Blades doesn't feature an open world--although Bethesda says one could be added down the line. The game contains PvP and town-building elements, as well as the same kind of combat as previous Elder Scrolls games.Blades was also one of the games showcased during Apple's 2018 keynote address back in September. During the presentation, Bethesda's Todd Howard took the stage to demonstrate how the game will run on the new iPhone XS. Howard also noted the advantages the XS's OLED screen and other hardware improvements offer.Blades will be free to download and play when it launches for iOS and Android. It also isn't the only Elder Scrolls project Bethesda is currently working on; the company also announced the next proper installment in the series, The Elder Scrolls VI, is in development, although that might not launch until the next generation of consoles.Info from Gamespot.com

The newest release from GTA developer Rockstar Game, Red Dead Redemption 2 on PS4 and Xbox One, is a game that is filled with secrets and details. Its core story alone takes 50-plus hours to complete as you slowly accumulate wealth and honor. But if you're someone looking for a shortcut, we've got you covered. Much like the original game and GTA V, Red Dead 2 features an assortment of cheat codes that unlock additional resources, with some injecting odd gimmicks and quirks into your game. Bear in mind, you shouldn't expect these to work in Red Dead Online when that releases in late November. To find the Cheats menu in Red Dead Redemption 2, press the pause button and select the Settings option. In this menu, press Triangle or Y (on PS4 and Xbox One, respectively) to pull up the Cheats menu. From here, you'll find a long list of locked cheats. Initially, you won't know what any of these do or how to unlock them. Many of these codes can be activated by putting in the correct phrase, but others will require some extra time and effort. In addition to finding passwords while exploring the world, some of which are written into the ground, throughout the game you'll find newspapers for sale in towns, and some of these offer clues as to how to unlock these extra fun options. More newspapers will become available after completing main missions, which you'll see detailed in news articles. While many of these cheats introduce some mostly benign bits of fun--such as keeping your character, Arthur Morgan, perpetually drunk--activating these codes at any time will have some consequences for your save game. Once you activate these codes, all Trophies and Achievements will be deactivated on this particular file. As a result, before trying any of these codes, be sure to make a separate file for your main save. With over 30 codes to unlock, some of which have some specific requirements, we've collected a list of cheats that we've uncovered thus far. We also have a separate feature discussing some of the most entertaining and best cheats in Red Dead Redemption 2. Be sure to check back with GameSpot as we update this page with new codes, and how to find them.Cheat CodeNameDescriptionHow To UnlockA fool on commandDrunkAlways stay drunk (can be turned off in cheat menu)No requirementsAbundance is the dullest desireInfinite AmmoUnlimited ammunition for all weapons.Unlocked by purchasing the New Hanover Gazette No. 27 in Valentine or the Blackwater Ledger No. 62. While they aren't direct remakes, Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee closely follow 1998's Pokemon Yellow, in which you started the game with Pikachu. Instead of Red and Blue's choice of Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle, you start Let's Go with either Pikachu or Eevee, depending on your version. However, just like in Yellow, you'll be able to get each of the three original starter Pokemon if you know where to look. There are two ways to get the Gen 1 starters: You can catch them in the wild, or you can receive them as one-time gifts from NPCs. The NPC route is the easiest, since the starters can be somewhat hard to find in the wild, and the Pokemon you receive as gifts will always have relatively good stats. All you need to do is catch enough Pokemon total to meet the NPCs' requirements--this includes repeats of Pokemon you've already caught, so it's all about quantity.Bulbasaur: Given by a woman in a house in Cerulean City once you've caught 30 Pokemon total Lvl 12; knows Tackle, Growl, Vine Whip, and Leech SeedCharmander: Given by a man on Route 24 north of Nugget Bridge once you've caught 50 Pokemon total Lvl 14; knows Scratch, Growl, Smokescreen, and EmberSquirtle: Given by Officer Jenny in Vermillion City once you've caught 60 Pokemon total Lvl 16; knows Tackle, Tail Whip, Bubble, and WithdrawAdditionally, you can capture the starters in the wild. We've seen Bulbasaur in Viridian Forest, Charmander in Rock Tunnel, and Squirtle on Route 24 and the Seafoam Islands. We will update this article with any other locations they've been found, so let us know if there's anything we missed. For more Pokemon Let's Go help, check out our best beginner's tips. Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee take a number of cues from the wildly successful Pokemon Go. The new Switch games borrow Pokemon Go's catching mechanics, for example, and in doing so introduce a major change to the Pokemon RPG formula. But on top of that, you can also connect Pokemon Go to Let's Go directly and transfer any first-generation Pokemon you've caught onto your Switch. Before you begin, know that once you transfer a Pokemon from Go to Let's Go, you cannot undo it--that Pokemon is gone from your Go account forever. Other than that, there aren't many restrictions. You can disconnect your Go account from your Switch at any time, so if your friend wants to give you a Pokemon, they can connect their Go account to your Switch with no problem. This is a lot easier than trading the Pokemon in Go itself before transferring, as Pokemon Go trades can cost quite a bit of Stardust. How To ConnectConnecting your Go account to your Switch is relatively straightforward. In Pokemon Go, open Settings and select Nintendo Switch > Connect to Nintendo Switch. Then, go to the Options menu in Let's Go and select Open Pokemon Go Settings. When asked if you would like to pair a Pokemon Go account, say yes. As long as both devices are actively "searching" for each other, your Switch should be able to find your Pokemon Go account and allow you to connect. How To TransferTo initiate the transfer, head to the Go Park complex in Fuchsia City. Talk to the man at the front desk, select Bring Pokemon, pick a Go Park, and then select Start Communication. From there, open your Pokemon list in Pokemon Go, press the Nintendo Switch icon, and then select the Pokemon you want to transfer. Remember that this is permanent, and the transfer is one-way.Once transferred, enter the Go Park you selected during the transfer, where you'll be able to find the Pokemon. Just walk up to the Pokemon and press A to initiate catching it. And don't worry--if it happens to run away during the catch sequence, you can just try again. You also have 20 Go Parks available with space for 50 Pokemon each, and there's no limit on how long they'll stay in the parks. How Stats WorkBefore you transfer a Pokemon, get it appraised in Pokemon Go. We followed Pokemon Go Hub's guide to check our Pokemon's stats in Go before transferring them, and we found that the stats do transfer (though the CP won't be the same). Pokemon in Go have three stats--HP, Attack, and Defense--while those in Let's Go have the full six, so the stats end up mirrored. For example, a Pokemon with perfect Attack in Go will have both perfect Attack and Special Attack in Let's Go. The same goes for Defense and Special Defense. The only stat that is randomized as far as we can tell is Speed, so keep this in mind when you're catching your transferred Pokemon. How To Get MeltanAlthough the transfer from Go to Let's Go is one way, you do get a bonus in Go for doing it: a Mystery Box. This item allows you to catch Meltan, a new Pokemon that currently is only catchable in Go and can be transferred into Let's Go. You can read our full guide on how to catch Meltan and its evolved form, Melmetal, for more details. For even more Pokemon Let's Go tips, check out our list of things you should know before starting and our guide to getting Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle in the Switch games. Finally, be sure to read our Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee review for our full thoughts on the game.Info from Gamespot.com

You don't necessarily have to wait until next year to try out the new Destiny-esque action game from BioWare, Anthem. EA has announced an upcoming closed alpha, and sign-ups for it are now live ahead of the test kicking off next week.As outlined on EA's website, the test will be quite brief--it'll run from December 8-9, though it'll be available on all three of the game's platforms: PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The test will not be available for the entirety of the two days, as there will instead by "multiple sessions" spread across the weekend. In terms of the alpha's purpose, EA explains, "It's an opportunity for you to check out Anthem but we'll also be adjusting things like matchmaking and server load on the fly. These Community Playtests are more limited than what we want to share in the pre-launch demos. All of these factors combined mean that we're making access to our Playtests limited, which is where the 'closed' part of the name comes from."Sign-ups are now live, and you can register your interest here. You aren't guaranteed access just by signing up, and you'll need a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold membership on PS4 and Xbox One, respectively. When registering your interest, you'll need to pick the specific platforms and time windows you're hoping to participate in.Participants will be bound by a non-disclosure agreement. That means, barring any leaks, you shouldn't expect to see players sharing any thoughts, screenshots, or videos from the alpha test.If you don't get in, this won't mark your only chance to try the game before launch. EA and BioWare have plans to offer an Anthem demo next year, and EA/Origin Access members will presumably get their usual limited early access to the game as well. Its full release is set for February 22.Outside of Anthem, BioWare is at work on the future of Mass Effect. It also just recently teased that Dragon Age news is coming very soon. Happy Death Day was one of last year's biggest horror surprises--a smart, funny, scary slasher riff on Groundhog Day, about a woman who found herself trapped in a daily loop in which she was killed by a masked psycho. The sequel is titled Happy Death Day 2U and it arrives in February next year. The first trailer has now been released.Jessica Rothe returns as unlucky student Tree, who seemingly broke the loop at the end of the first movie when she killed her murderous rival Lori. Unfortunately as the trailer reveals, the loop has restarted, with Lori somehow alive within it and out for revenge. It looks like another hugely entertaining mix of laughs and scares--check it out above.Happy Death Day 2U is written and directed by Christopher B. Landon, who also helmed the first movie. It also stars Israel Broussard (Fear the Walking Dead), Suraj Sharma (Homeland), and Ruby Modine (Shameless). It's produced once more by Blumhouse Films (Get Out, The Purge movies) and hits theaters on February 14, 2019.In a recent interview with Collider, Rothe spoke about how Happy Death Day 2U isn't just a standard horror sequel. "Chris has done this incredible thing where the sequel elevates the movie from being a horror movie into a Back to the Future type of genre film," she said. "The sequel joins us right from where we left off, it explains a lot of things in the first one that didn’t get explained, and it elevates everything."I was really pleased to know that we weren’t just gonna be pushing all the buttons that people loved the first time, over and over again, 'cause I think that gets old." Season 6 of Fortnite is almost over, but there's still a little time left to complete any remaining challenges and unlock the last few Battle Pass rewards. All throughout the season, Epic has been rolling out new challenges for the game on a weekly basis. Clearing these rewards you with XP and levels up your Battle Pass, but if you manage to finish all of the tasks from a given week, you'll also complete one of the seasons Hunting Party challenges.Just as with Season 5's Road Trip challenges, completing a Hunting Party challenge will reward you with a special loading. Along with featuring a cool piece of artwork, these screens contain a subtle clue that points to the whereabouts of an item hidden somewhere around the island. Depending on how many weekly sets of challenges you complete, this item will either be a Banner--which can be used as a profile icon--or a Battle Star that levels your Battle Pass up by one tier.If you complete nine weekly sets of challenges, you'll unlock the loading screen pictured below. It depicts the Calamity and Deadfire skins standing amid a field of flowers (while the AIM robot--the Legendary skin you unlock by completing seven Hunting Party Challenges--lurks ominously in the background). Look closely at the image and you'll see the silhouette of a Battle Star in the grill that's just left of Calamity. To find this Battle Star, you'll need to head to the recently rechristened Leaky Lake. Glide to the central island where the Stonehenge-like monument is at the start of a match and you'll be able to spot the aforementioned grill nearby. Approach it and the Battle Star will pop up, which you can then collect as you would any other item to level your Battle Pass up by one tier. We've highlighted its exactly location on the map below. You can also watch us pick the Battle Star up in the video above. As usual, you'll need to complete the required amount of challenges in order to collect this Battle Star. It won't appear on the map unless you've unlocked the aforementioned loading screen, so you can't simply go to the right area and expect to find it unless you've put in the necessary work.Season 6 of Fortnite is slated to end on December 6, which means Season 7 is just around the corner. You have until then to complete any remaining Season 6 challenges. If you need a hand, you can find tips for all of them in our comprehensive Season 6 challenges guide. After more than two months, Season 6 of Fortnite is coming to a close. Epic has rolled out the game's final set of Season 6 challenges on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices, giving you one last chance to level your Battle Pass up and unlock any remaining rewards. As always, there's an extra incentive to complete these challenges; if you manage to clear all the ones from a given week, you'll in turn complete one of Season 6's Hunting Party challenges. Each Hunting Party challenge you clear will reward you with a special loading screen. Not only do these screens feature a cool piece of artwork showcasing some of the game's newest skins, they also contain a very subtle hint that points you to a free item hidden somewhere around the island. Depending on how many Hunting Party challenges you complete, this item will either be a Battle Star--good for leveling your Battle Pass up by one tier--or a special Banner that can be used as a profile icon.If you clear all 10 weekly sets of challenges in Season 6, you'll unlock the loading screen pictured below. It showcases DJ Yonder--one of the new skins introduced at the start of the season--deejaying a giant party attended by other new and popular skins. Look closely at the speakers just to the left of Yonder, however, and you'll notice a set of coordinates that read G8, G9, H8, H9. This is the clue to where you can find the final free Banner. The aforementioned coordinates lead you to into the desert, near the area where the mysterious purple cube that played such a prominent role in Season 6 first appeared. At the start of a match, glide to where the coordinates intersect and the free Banner will pop up. Collect it as you would any other item and you'll be able to use it as your profile icon after finishing the match, whether by getting eliminated or securing a Victory Royale. However, just as with previous free Banners, the usual caveats apply. The item won't appear on the island unless you've completed all of the necessary challenges and unlocked the aforementioned loading screen. This means you won't simply be able to head to the right area and collect it without first clearing all 10 weekly sets of challenges. Season 6 of Fortnite is scheduled to end on December 6, which means Season 7 will follow not too far behind. You have until then to complete this season's challenges and unlock any remaining Battle Pass rewards. If you need some assistance, we've rounded up some helpful tips in our complete Season 6 challenge guide. It's now Week 10, the last week of Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 6. What Epic Games has in store for the wildly popular battle royale title in Season 7--which could start as soon as next week--remains a mystery, but what we do know is that time is running out to get this season's Battle Stars, level up your Battle Pass, and unlock the cosmetic items attached to it. Once the season is over, it could be a long time before any of those items return, so if you've had your eye on a skin, bling, or harvester, it's now or never. Here's what to expect from Week 10 challenges.Week 10's challenges are now available and, as always, come in two categories: free to everyone and exclusive to paid Battle Pass owners. In the free section, players will need to build 250 structures in exchange for five Battle Stars. Visiting a ship, a camel, and a crashed Battle Bus will also net you five Battle Stars (check out our guide for exact locations), while searching seven chests at either Tilted Towers or Paradise Palms will get you 10 Battle Stars. In the paid Battle Pass section, meanwhile, you'll need to place Mounted Turrets in three different matches for five Battle Stars and complete three vehicle timed trials for 10 Battle Stars. This tier also has two multi-stage challenges. The first starts by landing at Lazy Links, while the second begins by getting a shotgun elimination. As you complete those, additional stages will reveal themselves. Take a look at the full list of challenges below.Fortnite Season 6, Week 10 ChallengesFreeBuild structures (250) -- 5 Battle StarVisit a Viking ship, a camel, and a crashed Battle Bus (3) -- 5 Battle StarsSearch chests at Tilted Towers or Paradise Palms (7) -- 10 Battle StarsBattle PassPlace Mounted Turrets in different matches (3) -- 5 Battle StarsStage 1: Land at Lazy Links (1) -- 5 Battle StarsComplete vehicle timed trials (3) -- 10 Battle StarsStage 1: Shotgun eliminations (1) -- 10 Battle StarsEpic has launched Fortnite update 6.31 and, as part of it, a new feature that allows players to gift items to others. According to the studio this feature isn't going to be around for long, but it's described as an "initial gifting period," suggesting it could return in the future. The item shop currently allows players to buy cosmetics as a gift and then select someone on their friends list to send the item to.In order to make use of the gifting feature, you'll need to have multi-factor authentication enabled, and you'll need to have been friends with a person for at least 48 hours before a gift can be sent to them. Gifts are limited to three in a 24-hour period and Epic will not refund any gift purchases. Fortnite's 6.31 update also added new shotgun variants and a fresh limited-time mode, among other things. You can get all the details in the full patch notes here.Info from Gamespot.com

Week 10 challenges for Fortnite: Battle Royale Season 6--now in its final week--have been revealed, and while they're all pretty straightforward, one will require you to have good knowledge of the island. For Week 10's free challenges, developer Epic Games wants players to visit a Viking ship, a camel, and a crashed Battle Bus. In return, they'll be awarded with five precious Battle Stars that can be put towards leveling up their Battle Pass and unlocking cosmetics. Here's where to find all three locations. If you've played a lot of Fortnite, you should have a pretty good idea of where to find these landmarks on the island. However, if you need a helping hand, we're here to provide it. The Viking ship can be found on the southwest of the map at coordinates B6. It's huge, so if you glide over there you will not miss it. The camel, meanwhile, is near Lucky Landing at the coordinates G9. Again, another one that you can't miss. The Battle Bus is slightly trickier as it has moved recently. While it used to be around Shifty Shafts, it's now at the map grid E3, which is to the west of Lazy Links. All you've got to do to finish the challenge is head to those locations. However, make sure you finish the game--win or lose--as if you quit out immediately it will not count. To make things a little easier we've put together a video of ourselves completing the challenge, which you can watch above. Below you'll find the exact locations of the three landmarks.Fortnite Viking Ship, Camel, Crashed Battle Bus LocationsViking Ship: Southwest at B6, on top of the snowy mountainCamel: Northeast at G9, near Lucky LandingCrashed Battle Bus: West of Lazy Links at E3That's just one of the challenges for Season 6, Week 10, alongside vehicle timed trials and other things. As previously noted, this is the final week of challenges for the season, which means it's also the last week you can unlock the cosmetics tied to the Battle Pass for this season. Once it's over, there's no telling when they'll be available again, so it's worth spending some time finishing challenges from this week, and previous ones, so you can get everything you want.It might seem daunting, but we've been putting together guides for all the hardest challenges week by week. If you use our Fortnite Season 6 complete challenge guide, you'll get everything done in no time. You'll want to act fast, as Fortnite Season 7 is just around the corner. Info from Gamespot.com

Anyone with an active PlayStation Plus subscription who hasn't yet downloaded November's free games is running out of time to get them. All six games for PS4, PS3, and PS Vita will go back to regular price on Tuesday, December 4, when December's PS Plus games go free.On PS4, you can grab Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition, a remaster of the PS3-ear shooter from Epic Games. It's an over-the-top action game that incorporates a deceptively clever skillshot system. In our Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition review, Scott Butterworth wrote, "the experience absolutely holds up: the skillshot system remains wildly fun and inventive, the weapons are still a gruesome joy, and the writing... well, it's as distinctive as ever."The other PS4 game is Yakuza Kiwami, a remake of the first game in a series that's been making waves lately with Western audiences. It tells an intriguing story about Japanese gangsters, while also offering a buffet of side missions that range from delightful to absurd. Read our Yakuza Kiwami review for more information. The PS3 games on offer in November are the multiplayer game Jackbox Party Pack 2 and the retro arcade-style collection Arkedo Series. And finally, PS Vita owners can pick up the adventure game Burly Men at Sea and a game styled after a B-movie from the '70s called Roundabout. Both Vita games are playable on PS4.Come December 4, these games will go back to regular price and be replace by December's PS Plus games: Soma and Onrush for PS4, Steredenn and SteinsGate for PS, and Paper's Please and Iconoclasts for PS Vita.Free PS Plus Games For November 2018PS4Bulletstorm: Full Clip EditionYakuza KiwamiBurly Man at Sea (also on Vita)Roundabout (also on Vita)PS3Jackbox Party Pack 2Arkedo SeriesPS VitaBurly Men at Sea (also on PS4)Roundabout (also on PS4)Info from Gamespot.com
