Blizzard has silently released a new public test realm of World of Warcraft Classic with little fanfare, causing players to speculate on what, exactly, the realm is supposed to be testing. Many players are hoping it's "fresh" servers for WoW Classic. The test realm currently only includes raid content from WoW Classic's first phase, although it does include more recent updates to the game, like the ability to purchase a world-buff saving item from Chromie that didn't exist in the original version of vanilla WoW but was added prior to Burning Crusade Classic's release. The arrival of the new test realm has players speculating it could be a sign that Blizzard is looking to roll out brand-new servers for WoW Classic where players can start their adventure into Azeroth all over again from scratch.Currently, WoW Classic servers are a ghost town. Blizzard required players to decide between playing in what it now calls "Classic Era" servers or moving forward to the game's first expansion, Burning Crusade Classic, back in June, and it seems the majority of players chose to continue on into Outland over staying in Azeroth. But there is still a dedicated community of players who prefer WoW Classic to Burning Crusade.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The first gameplay video for Life is Strange: True Colors has been revealed. Showing off a moment from the story of Alex Chen, the video showcases some of the interactions you can expect from the game. Oh, and a very good cat makes an appearance, too. Life is Strange: True Colors is the third main entry in the series of interactive narrative-centric games, and it focuses on Alex's quest to use her psychic abilities to unravel the mystery of her brother's fate. The first video shows about 13 minutes from early in the game, centering on a scene in a record store. You can see the full demo in the embed below. As with all of the Life is Strange games, the gameplay of True Colors is primarily based on dialogue trees and some basic exploration and interaction with environments. The video shows some light puzzle-solving, like encouraging the store's resident feline to move. It also demonstrates the core supernatural mechanic in the game, which is Alex's use of her empathic powers. Basically, she can perceive strong emotions as auras around other characters and can perceive ways to help them feel better, but she is forced to simultaneously feel those emotions.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl and Pokemon Legends: Arceus will be compatible with Pokemon Home, but not at launch. Near the end of the latest Pokemon Presents stream, The Pokemon Company confirmed that support for the upcoming Switch games will be added to Pokemon Home sometime in 2022.Once support has been implemented, you'll be able to transfer Pokemon you caught in Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl and Pokemon Legends: Arceus and store them in Pokemon Home. Beyond that, however, details are scant. It remains unclear if transfers will be one-way, as they are with Pokemon Go, or if you'll be able to bring compatible Pokemon you've caught in other games from Home into Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl or Legends.Like Pokemon Bank for 3DS, Pokemon Home is a cloud service that lets you store Pokemon you've caught in different games in one place and move them between titles. The service has free and paid plans. The latter costs $16 USD annually and offers more benefits, including significantly more storage capacity, a Judge function that lets you see a Pokemon's base stats, and the ability to transfer monsters from Pokemon Bank.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Michael Keaton will once again don his giant metal wings as he plays Adrian Toomes, AKA The Vulture, in Morbius, which arrives on January 28, 2022. While Keaton appeared in the first trailer for Morbius, back in January 2020, the actor was confirmed to be reprising the Spider-Man villain in Sony's upcoming film in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter. While he's played Marvel's Vulture and DC's Batman, Keaton says he's never been a fan of comics and doesn't think he's ever seen a comic book movie. So when it came to reprising the role as Vulture, which he first played in the MCU's Spider-Man: Homecoming, the Morbius filmmakers discussed recent Marvel plot points and explained the universe to him."I'm nodding like I know what the f*** they're talking about," Keaton told THR. "I go, 'Uh-huh.' And I'm thinking, 'You may as well be explaining quantum physics right now to me. All I know is I just know my guy. And I know the basics.' So finally, they were looking at me, and they just started laughing. They said, 'You don't know what we're talking about, do you?' I said, 'No, I don't, no idea what you're talking about.'"Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

In a thoroughly enjoyable new profile on Michael Keaton in The Hollywood Reporter, the actor shares his thoughts on the dawn and rise of the superhero film genre. Keaton will be reprising the role of Batman he originated in the 1989 Tim Burton film for the upcoming movie The Flash--according to this THR piece, he "just finished shooting" that performance.Since the OG Batman movie, Keaton says he's been "stunned" by the genre's explosion both in print and on screen. While he recently proudly has self-appointed himself the best Batman of all time (who would argue?), he made a point in this profile to share credit with Burton: "What Tim did changed everything… Everything you see now started with him. If you really think about what happened between 1989 and now, on a cultural, corporate, economic level, it's unbelievable."Still, he admits he is not and has never been a comics fan--though is "awed by the phenomenon." Keaton said, "after the first Batman, I'm not sure I've ever seen an entire [comic book] movie… I just never got around to it." Elsewhere in the profile, Keaton admits he doesn't understand the MCU.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The first season had eight episodes and the second will have eight as well. Assuming Cavill is paid $400,000 per episode in both seasons, he will make $6.4 million USD before taxes and fees.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

When the highly anticipated trailer (after multiple delays) didn't actually turn out to be a trailer at all but instead just a gif of a man walking that had already been shared on Twitter, skeptical players began to renew their investigations into Blue Box's history. What they found, as illustrated by Reddit user TicTacPaul, is a history of cancelled and unfinished games dating back to 2015, with multiple cancelled Kickstarter projects and games pulled from sale while still in early access and seemingly, ahem, abandoned.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl launch for Nintendo Switch on November 19, and The Pokemon Company has a special gift for early adopters. Everyone who purchases either version before February 21, 2022 can claim a free egg containing the Mythical Pokemon Manaphy in their game. The egg will be distributed via the Mystery Gift function, which unlocks approximately two hours into the adventure, The Pokemon Company estimates. After you've claimed the egg, keep it in your party and it will eventually hatch into Manaphy after you've walked enough steps. You'll need to have an internet connection in order to claim the Manaphy egg, but a Nintendo Switch Online subscription is not required. What's unique about Manaphy is that it can produce a different Pokemon. If you leave Manaphy and a Ditto together at the nursery in Solaceon Town, you'll be able to obtain a special egg that hatches into another rare Pokemon called Phione. Neither Manaphy nor Phione can be caught in the wild, making this the only way to obtain them.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The DC movie Black Adam recently wrapped production ahead of its 2022 release. Here's everything we know about it so far.Dwayne Johnson is one of the biggest movie stars in the world, so it's surprising that it's taken him until now to star in a superhero film. Of course, he's been busy with many other projects, but with the ongoing popularity of superhero movies, it was only a matter of time before he headlined one.The character that Dwayne Johnson has chosen to play--the superpowered DC antihero Black Adam--might not be one of the best-known comic book characters, but it's clear that the star has been passionate about the role for a long time. Way back in 2007, Johnson was approached to play Shazam in a movie, but instead revealed he was more interested in playing the film's villain, Black Adam, instead. "He's a character that I can't wait to play," he said at the time.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

September brings the start of fall and also the start of TV's big fall push, where old favorites come back for another season and new shows are also given a chance to find audiences. Streaming services, such as Prime Video, aren't always about following those traditions--but Amazon's platform is bringing a handful of potentially interesting newcomers in September.Among them is the investigative docuseries LuLaRich, which will drop on September 10. The four-part series, from Fyre Fraud documentarians Jenner Furst and Julia Willoughby, examines the pyramid scheme LuLaRoe. The pyramid scheme has already been exposed and reached a settlement earlier this year, and the women's clothing business is now working towards greater transparency. But this looks worth a watch, even if you haven't heard of it, because the company's co-founders happily sat to be interviewed by the filmmakers, and rather than the film playing up the "true crime" angle, the trailer (which you can watch below) seems to play it more as a comedy of errors that just spiraled out of control.Other than that, Prime Video can always be counted on for surfacing classic content that's worth a rewatch or finally giving a shot. September 1 brings classics and "classics" from a number of genres. Do you have cheesy '80s throwbacks? Both the theatrical and extended cuts of 2010's The A-Team are coming to the platform. Ready to start re-thinking your relationship with social media? Also coming to Prime is Aaron Sorkin's The Social Network. The first of the month may be most worth looking at--it's both when the highest number of things are being added to the catalog, and also where the greatest variety is on display.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
