Blizzard has outlined the first expansion for the new season of Hearthstone, set to release next month. The Rise of Shadows expansion brings together several villains from throughout the history of the game in a Sinister Six-style team, along with 135 new cards to collect. The plot revolves around the Arch-Thief Rafaam organizing his own "League of E.V.I.L." to pull off a heist in Dalaran. They include King Togwaggle, Madam Lazul, Dr. Boom, and Hagatha the Witch. Blizzard previously teased that this year each expansion will be connected in a single ongoing story, so this gives us an idea of the direction for the Year of the Dragon. As always, the expansion will include some new mechanics and card types to fit the flavor of the expansion. The expansion will bring five new Lackeys, 1/1 minions with specialized Battlecries. New spells called Schemes will get more and more powerful the longer you hold the card in your hand. Some cards are explicit callbacks to older cards. For example, the Priest's new Forbidden Words spell is a twist on the Forbidden Shaping card from Whispers of the Old Gods. Finally, the new cards will introduce a new keyword called Twinspell. When cast, these cards add a second copy of the spell to your hand. The second copy of the spell lacks the Twinspell benefit. These spells are an apparent favorite of a crime-fighting group called the Defenders of Dalaran, so we're likely to see the clash between heroes and villains develop as the story goes on.Rise of Shadows will launch on April 9, with its solo adventure following a month later in May. As previously announced, that adventure will begin with a free chapter, and then subsequent chapters can be purchased for 700 gold each--or the full bundle for $20.Before it all kicks off, though, a pre-release event starting April 5 will grant you a free Legendary card that can be used immediately. Plus once it launches, you'll get a new quest chain to earn free packs. A Shadow Bundle during launch week will offer 9 packs and an Arena ticket for $10. Pre-purchases will come in two tiers: a $50 bundle that includes 50 packs, a card back, and a Legendary card, or an $80 bundle for 80 packs, the card back, a Golden Legendary, and the Madam Lazul Priest Hero.Check out our full gallery of every card revealed so far, which will be updated as more become available.Info from Gamespot.com

Microsoft has revealed more information about Xbox Live coming to both Android and iOS devices. Xbox Live support on mobile devices will be possible through Xbox Live SDK, a new cross-platform mobile software development kit created by Microsoft."We believe so strongly in community, and Xbox Live really being at the heart of our gaming community," Microsoft gaming cloud chief Kareem Choudhry said in a briefing, according to The Verge. "If you watch what we've done, especially with Minecraft, over the past few years we've taken Xbox Live to as many platforms as Minecraft is on as possible. Really uniting all those communities together with a consistent singular experience for those gamers."Most of the features tied to an Xbox Live account are also added to a game with SDK, such as achievements, Gamerscore, hero stats, friend lists, and clubs. It's worth noting that Xbox Live support does already exist for Android and iOS titles, but it's been limited to Microsoft Studios games. The new SDK makes Xbox Live support available for all.During the briefing, Choudhry also spoke about bringing Xbox Live support to Nintendo Switch and Sony's PlayStation 4. Choudhry said that Microsoft has an interest in uniting "the two billion gamers of the world" but also clarified that he had no "specific announcements" as of this time to make about Xbox Live appearing on Switch or PS4. "If you've watched us for the past few years, we've taken a very inclusive approach," Choudhry continued. "Phil [Spencer] has been very proactive on issues like cross-play, cross-progression, and uniting gamer networks, and we're willing to partner with the industry as much as we possibly can."Microsoft has made several strong pushes in support of cloud gaming in the past few years. The company has just launched Game Stack, a platform specifically designed to help developers build and launch cloud-connected games. Game Stack collects all of Microsoft's developer tools, services, and platforms with Azure and PlayFab--a collection which includes DirectX, Mixer, Power BI, Havok, Visual Studio, Windows, Xbox Game Studios, Xbox Live, and Simplygon. For more details, you can read up on Game Stack on Microsoft's website. The company has also developed a Netflix-like platform for video games with Game Pass, and has expressed an interest in bringing the full service to more than just Xbox One consoles. Project xCloud--which was demonstrated for the first time during March 2019's Inside Xbox livestream--is also in development, and promises to allow players to stream their Xbox games through their PC or mobile devices.Info from Gamespot.com

Valve has announced two more service features for Steam, just ahead of GDC. The new Steam Link Anywhere extends the Steam Link functionality, while a sockets API makes it easier for developers to offer secure connections.According to the announcement, Steam Link Anywhere is now in early beta and accessible to anyone with beta firmware, or using the Android Steam Link beta app or Raspberry Pi Steam Link app. You'll have to opt into the Steam client beta with the date of March 13 or newer, and then you can connect to any computer by selecting "Other Computer" from the search. This will let you connect and play your games from anywhere without a local network, but it's limited to users with a high PC upload speed and a strong connection to your Steam Link device. The sockets API is an infrastructure tool for developers to give their players faster and secure connections, using the same tech as Valve did for CS:GO and Dota 2. Both features will be outlined more extensively at Valve's Steam Platform Update talk at GDC, which will take place on Thursday, March 21 at 12:45 PM PT.While the Steam Link app is still going strong, Valve discontinued the Steam Link hardware as it allowed its existing stock to be depleted. At the time Valve said it intended to continue supporting the hardware, as well as the software versions of Steam Link.Info from Gamespot.com

Devil May Cry 5 is getting the series' staple Bloody Palace mode in a few weeks. Capcom has confirmed it will be adding the mode to its new action game as a free update across PS4, Xbox One, and PC on April 1.Bloody Palace has appeared in nearly every Devil May Cry game to date. The mode pits players against increasingly challenging waves of enemies and bosses, all while a timer ticks down. In DMC5's iteration, you'll be able to play as one of the game's three protagonists: Dante, Nero, or V. You can take a look at some screenshots of the mode below.Devil May Cry 5 launched earlier this month and has already proven to be a critical and commercial success for Capcom. The game debuted at No. 1 in the UK and has garnered positive reviews, including from GameSpot. We awarded it a 9/10 and called it "a brilliant iteration of the series' best qualities" in our Devil May Cry 5 review."DMC5 thrives on the stylistic and mechanical prowess of its predecessors. It sticks to tradition above all else, pursuing a few ambitious new ideas along the way, but mostly maintaining the series' focus on intricate fighting systems and campy bravado," GameSpot's Matt Espineli said. "DMC5 proves the series can still be brilliant and imaginative without compromising its longest-held traditions."If you're just getting started, be sure to check out our tips to get SSS rank with Dante, Nero, and V. Xbox One has gotten another bloody addition to its backwards compatibility line-up today, with the addition of Castlevania: Harmony of Despair. The Xbox 360 game is now playable on Xbox One. If you don't already own it, it's now for $15, along with several character packs for a few bucks apiece. The 2010 game was part of that year's Summer of Arcade lineup, with an emphasis on co-op play that remains unique to the series. To that end it featured several of the series' most well-known protagonists, including Alucard, Soma Cruz, and Julius Belmont. The DLC packs added other heroes like Simon Belmont and Maria Renard, along with extra stages. In GameSpot's review, critic Giancarlo Varanini suggested that the co-op play was a unique twist, but some areas required it too much for it to live as a single-player experience."There are some instances where Harmony of Despair caters more to the multiplayer cooperative experience than the single-player," he said. "For instance, most of the secret areas can be accessed only with other players, but in reality, that's the best way to experience this new Castlevania. And it's the optimal way to experience what may be a new and fun potential direction for the series to take."As always, the game will be ready to download on your Xbox One if you already own it. This was a digital-only release, but disc-based ones can be played if you still own the disc as well. Check out our full list of every backwards compatible game to see if some of your nostalgic favorites are ready to play.Info from Gamespot.com

We're in the endgame now. The massive finale to the first decade of the Marvel Cinematic Universe--and the end of MCU Phase 3--is coming and with each passing day until the theatrical release of Avengers: Endgame, fans learn new things about what to expect from the upcoming film. However, with so much being revealed in the weeks and months before Endgame, it can be hard to keep up. Whether it's new trailers, a poster that seemingly gives away the return of characters you weren't sure you'd see, or the endless stream of potential theories about how the Avengers could possibly save the universe that was turned to dust by Thanos (Josh Brolin), there's a lot to talk about. To keep things simple, GameSpot has come up with this one-stop shop for everything you need to know--and everything we've learned thus far--about Avengers: Endgame. This movie is surely going to change the game for the MCU, so make sure you're caught up on everything before it hits theaters.Release Date And TicketsClearly, this is the most important piece of information. You have to know when you're going to get to see Endgame. Thankfully, you won't have to wait too long. Avengers: Endgame arrives in theaters on Friday, April 26. Of course, given how movie releases work, that means you should have your first chance to see it the evening of Thursday, April 25. Tickets have not yet gone on sale. The TrailersThus far there have been two trailers for Avengers: Endgame--plus a Super Bowl commercial. The first trailer for the movie arrived back in December, showing us the glorious returns of Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd)--who were absent during Infinity War. That trailer was followed by the Super Bowl commercial, which gave us a look at what became of the world after Thanos snapped his fingers. It's not pretty. Most recently, the second full trailer shows the remaining Avengers assembled and introduces Captain Marvel (Brie Larson). Those wondering how she came into the picture should definitely catch up on our post-credits explainer for the Captain marvel movie. The BreakdownsOf course, when new footage arrives, we have to comb through it for every little detail. The first trailer gave us some hints about what happened to characters we didn't necessarily see turn to dust, while the latest trailer leans heavily on connections to the MCU's past. Then there's the Super Bowl commercial, which confirmed that Captain America (Chris Evans) is getting his trusty shield back. Our Best TheoriesWith so much mystery swirling around Endgame and how, exactly, the Avengers plan to undo the mass genocide unleashed by Thanos, there are plenty of theories to dig through. For GameSpot, the sky's the limit when it comes to theorizing what's to come. After seeing the first trailer, we were convinced the Avengers would travel back in time to fight Thanos. Meanwhile, the Super Bowl commercial has us wondering if Nebula (Karen Gillan) was actually helping to stop Thanos or if she was perhaps helping him as some sort of a double agent.Stan Lee's CameoNo, we don't know what Stan Lee's cameo will be in the new film just yet. However, we do know one was filmed before the legendary comics figure passed away in late 2018. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed that there were still a couple of cameos left and that one of them was for Endgame. What To Catch Up OnIf you're not caught up on the MCU heading into Endgame, that can be daunting. With over a decade of movies to wade through, surely they can't all be integral to the plot, right? Thankfully, they're not. What's more, we've done the heavy-lifting for you in figuring out what movies you really need to watch and how to do so digitally before Endgame arrives in theaters. Just follow along in our handy guide. What Comes Next In Phase 4With so much hinging on Avengers: Endgame, how can Marvel possibly follow it? At this point, a lot of the future of the MCU remains unknown. For instance, there's no telling which of the original Avengers will actually survive the fight that's coming in Endgame. That said, we do have some hints about what happens next in the MCU and some idea of what the film and TV--yes, TV-- future of this franchise looks like. Arriving later in 2019 is Spider-Man: Far From Home, a sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming. As far as we can tell, this is is set after the events of Endgame. However, the world looks no worse for wear after Thanos snapped it all away, which could be a tease of how he'll be dealt with in the fourth Avengers film.Additionally, we know that another Doctor Strange movie is in the works, as well as a Black Widow standalone project, and a film about Kung Fu master Shang-Chi. On the TV side, there are a number of projects in development for Disney's upcoming streaming service, Disney+. There will be a series based around Loki (Tom Hiddleston), as well as one featuring Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany). It remains to be seen if these will be set before or after Endgame, though it's worth noting all three of those characters were killed in Infinity War.Info from Gamespot.com

Rebellion announced not one or two, but four Sniper Elite projects today, across a variety of platforms including virtual reality. The centerpiece of the announcement is the next major Sniper Elite game, though the announcement shies away from calling it "Sniper Elite 5" by name. However, Rebellion acknowledges that whatever it's ultimately to be called, it's in development. The other three games include two resurrected classics and one emerging technology. Sniper Elite V2 Remastered will bring the 2012 game to current platforms with updated visuals and new features, including 4K resolution and HDR support, a photo mode, an expanded multiplayer mode, and all of its add-on content. It will hit PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch this year.Similarly, Sniper Elite 3 Ultimate Edition is coming to Nintendo Switch this year, and also includes the full suite of add-on content. It sports a new local wireless multiplayer mode and motion controls. Finally, a standalone Sniper Elite VR game is in the works in collaboration with the UK studio Just Add Water. More details on that project will be shown later this year. We won't hear anything new about the mainline Sniper Elite game until 2020."Sniper Elite V2 is best when you are the one setting the pace," critic Chris Watters wrote in GameSpot's review for the original release. "Lining up good shots and laying low dozens of foes is a lot of fun, though it can get tiresome to fight your way through yet another area newly populated with thick-headed rifle fodder. Your tolerance for transparently game-y elements will go a long way toward determining how much you enjoy this glorified shooting gallery, but if you relish a good headshot, Sniper Elite V2 has got you covered."Info from Gamespot.com

When YouTube decided to revive The Karate Kid as a TV show, it was met with justified skepticism. But just like Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) did not see Daniel's (Ralph Macchio) crane kick coming at the 1984 All-Valley Karate Championship so was the world not ready for how good Cobra Kai would be. Going into Season 2, the surprise factor is gone, and expectations are through the roof. So how does Cobra Kai respond? After viewing the first two episodes at SXSW, it's clear it does so by striking first, striking hard, and having no mercy for your free time, because you're going to want to binge this show as soon as it hits YouTube. At the end of Season 1, we witnessed a flash from the past as a member of Cobra Kai illegally hurts a student of Miyagi-dojo during a karate tournament. Only this time, Miguel (Xolo Maridueña) took the first place trophy for the infamous dojo instead of the other way around, leaving Johnny drunk and depressed he turned a sweet kid into a jerk, and that his own son got hurt in the process. So how does Cobra Kai follow that up? With an explosive scene between Johnny and the very much alive worst-sensei-in-the-world John Kreese (Martin Kove). Showrunners Jon Hurwitz, Josh Heald, and Hayden Schlossberg waste no time giving the fans what they want, from character reunions that rival Game of Thrones, to all the 80's music you'd need in a 30-minute episode, to references to the Karate Kid films that will make you grin from ear-to-ear.What made Cobra Kai so good, however, was that it wasn't just about nostalgia, as the younger cast is just as interesting and likable as the older characters. Because the surprise factor from the first season is gone, Cobra Kai doesn't need to give us any huge developments but simply give more of what we loved the first time around. This season's mantra seems to be "Don't fix what isn't broken," and it works. We dig deeper into Johnny's regrets and his desperate wish for redemption, while Daniel LaRusso is now the underdog trying to defeat the dominating dojo after he decides to reopen Miyagi-Do. Seeing the Miyagi-Do set perfectly replicated is nothing short of magical, and production designers Ryan Berg and Moore Brian deserve huge credit for bringing the dojo back to life without missing a detail.Macchio and Zabka are excellent, going deeper into their characters' trauma and struggle to escape their past, while also exploring more of their relationship to the younger cast. Kove is as terrifying as ever, even if there's a hint of regret in the old sensei's eyes. And of course, the kids are more than alright. While there is more dramatic weight to the story, Cobra Kai never loses sight of the fun, and we get one hell of an entertaining start to the season as we could expect, including more over-the-top training schemes from both dojos, and more Hawk (Jacob Bertrand) simply being Hawk. Those who were scared of possible changes in character at the end of last season need not to worry, as the show takes great care in making all the characters feel as grounded and realistic as they were in Season 1.In an era of endless reboots and revivals, Cobra Kai is the rare show that takes a stand against nostalgia and offers a grim reality where we don't manage to get over our heyday and our past traumas. Meanwhile, it continues the "no such thing as bad students, only bad teachers" lessons of Mr. Miyagi, and it is a treat to watch the legacy characters struggling to find their place in a world they no longer recognize while providing plenty of laughs because of it.What's great this time around is that the show has such a wide ensemble, this season gives time to side characters that were underserved last season, the standout being Courtney Henggeler's Amanda LaRusso, who was the sole voice of reason last season, and gets more time to shine in these first episodes. They also introduce some new and wacky characters that have the potential to become fan favorites by the end of the season. While the two episodes screening at SXSW barely scratch the surface of what the show is teasing for the rest of the season, it is one hell of an appetizer before the main course. The episodes are as funny as ever, the music is as head-banging cool as you want it to be, the themes are as deep as any prestige drama, and most importantly, Cobra Kai is just plain fun. The ending of Episode 2 only makes it harder to wait a month before the entire Season 2 premieres on YouTube. In the meantime, it is hard to resist the urge to do some karate at home when no one is watching, thinking to yourself you are perfectly able to do a crane kick while listening to Joe Esposito's "You're The Best Around" while in reality, you're more likely to be the one kid to be put in a body bag.Cobra Kai Season 2 premieres on YouTube Premium on April 24.Info from Gamespot.com

Ubisoft has announced what gameplay changes are included in the upcoming remaster for Assassin's Creed III. The game will be receiving additional updates on the Switch version as well, most of which take advantage of the console's unique features. The gameplay changes for Assassin's Creed III: Remastered are detailed in the March Monthly Update for Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Ubisoft stated that many of the changes are to create a "better balance between action and stealth" in the game. Double assassinations, which existed in the original AC3, are now easier to pull off. Whistling to attract enemy guards, which you only could do from behind cover before, can now also be done from bushes. Free-aiming long-range weapons--which was added into the franchise in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag--is being implemented into the remaster as well, allowing more control with Ratonhnhaké:ton's pistols and bow.AC3: Remastered also includes "additional weapons for crafting," an updated in-game economy, and a new UI that incorporates color-blind settings. The game will include new Legacy outfits as well, which allow Ratonhnhaké:ton to dress up as protagonists from other Assassin's Creed games, such as Origins' Bayek and Odyssey's Alexios. For the Switch version, AC3: Remastered will receive a few additional gameplay changes. The Switch version will include touch screen support for navigating the game's menu. There will also be motion control for aiming with long-range weapons. The design of the UI will be tweaked for the Switch version to better adapt to the console's feature of going back and forth between docked and handheld, and HD rumble support has been added as well.AC3: Remastered is scheduled to release for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on March 29, and for Nintendo Switch on May 21. The game will release as a standalone title, but is also included in Odyssey's Season Pass. The rest of the March Monthly Update details changes coming to Odyssey in the coming weeks. The new Abstergo-themed cosmetic items for Kassandra/Alexios and the Adrestia and her crew are coming out March 19, as is another Legendary ship lieutenant called Captain Octopus. A new Lost Tales of Greece, titled A Friend Worth Dying For, will be available March 26. Odyssey is available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.Info from Gamespot.com

Pokemon Go players who missed their chance to catch Rayquaza last year will have soon have another opportunity to do so. Niantic is bringing the Legendary Sky High Pokemon back for a special Raid event this weekend--but like before, it won't be around for very long. From March 15-18, Rayquaza will make an encore appearance in Raid Battles around the world. Before you can capture the Legendary Pokemon, you'll first need to team up with other players in-person and battle it. If your group manages to defeat it, you'll receive a handful of Premier Balls along with an opportunity to catch it.Rayquaza is a dual Dragon/Flying-type, which makes it particularly susceptible to Ice-type attacks, so you'll want to bring along Pokemon such as Mamoswine and Lapras to battle it. Dragon is also one of the few Pokemon types that is vulnerable to itself, so other Dragon Pokemon such as Giratina and Salamence should prove to be effective as well.Niantic periodically brings back previous Legendary Pokemon for special Raid Weekend events such as this one. Last month, the Eon Pokemon Latias returned for a limited time, and Niantic has teased that its twin, Latios, will also come back for a Raid event in the near future. In other Pokemon Go news, the game's next Community Day event takes place on Saturday, March 23. The featured Pokemon this time will be Treecko. The Legendary Pokemon Dialga is also set to show up in Raid Battles until March 28.Info from Gamespot.com

The latest Avengers: Endgame trailer has fans clamoring about a brief moment on the ol' Barton farm featuring Clint, apparently, teaching a young girl to shoot a bow and arrow in, what we can assume, is the post-Civil War peace before the Snap ruined everything. Comics fans immediately clocked a hidden potential in the otherwise innocuous slice-of-life bit: That girl could be the MCU's take on Kate Bishop, the other Hawkeye.Or, more likely, it could be Clint's young daughter, Lila, last seen in Age of Ultron. But let's indulge the possibility for a second and take a look at who, exactly, Kate Bishop is, where she would fit into the MCU, and why everyone is so excited that there's even a slight chance of her being brought into the fold.Kate Bishop was first introduced fairly recently back in 2005 with a Young Avengers special that cast her as a relatively normal civilian-slash-wealthy-heiress who was brought into the superhero lifestyle almost by accident. Luckily, she just so happened to be extremely proficient with a bow, as well as a master of multiple forms of martial arts, even if she was just a human teenager. Kate joined up with the Young Avengers and helped bankroll her new team, provide costumes, and generally stand up to all the mainline Avengers who told them to stop--a tenacity which eventually earned her the Hawkeye codename (as well as Clint's original bow) from Captain America himself.Where was Clint during all of this, you ask? It's a little complicated. He faked his own death and secretly adopted the Ronin identity. It was a whole situation, but the long and the short of it was a distinct lack of Hawkeye in the Marvel Universe, even though Clint was technically still around.Clint's ruse was eventually dropped, however. After his official return to the public eye, he came to collect his bow and his name--which was a bit of an issue, considering Kate wasn't done with them yet. They very nearly fought over it, but eventually came to a sort of careful, begrudging respect for one another. Clint actually found himself endeared by Kate's take-no-prisoners tenacity, and agreed to let her continue to be Hawkeye right alongside him.Not a bad turn of events, all things considered. From that point, Kate and Clint developed a sort of student/mentor relationship--though it was hardly traditional. Clint was less a teacher and more a sort of long suffering, older brother figure--a dynamic that anchored the now iconic Hawkeye solo comics series by Matt Fraction and David Aja in 2012.It was largely through that particular series that fans began to flock to Kate as an A-Lister in Marvel's line up. She and Clint formed a sort of superheroic sitcom with one another that allowed her to shine as a totally unique take on Hawkeye, even though she shared a name and color scheme with the original.So--is that Kate in the Endgame trailer? Probably not. It's more than likely that what we saw was Clint and his daughter on their farm during Clint's post-Civil War house arrest (notice the ankle bracelet). However, that doesn't mean it's totally impossible. For one, the MCU isn't exactly beholden to the comics for Kate's origin story, meaning she could be Clint's relative this time around, or even his grown up daughter. For another, there's no context in the scene that suggests the girl with the bow is a Barton family member at all--for all we know, Clint started teaching archery during his house arrest. If it is Kate, then the implications are pretty massive. There's suddenly potential for a Young Avengers spin-off right there and up for grabs, as well as a neatly built bridge to the Hawkeye solo film Clint's small but dedicated fanbase has been begging for for so many years. It could even mean a slow pivot of Clint's MCU characterization toward the Clint Fraction and Aja popularized in their stories. But we really don't recommend getting your hopes up. In all likelihood, if the MCU were going to bring someone like Kate Bishop in, they'd do it with a lot more fanfare than a throwaway scene in a trailer. Anything is possible, but probably not this.If you're looking for more on Avengers: Endgame, check out the new poster, a breakdown of the second trailer, and everything you need to know about the April 26 movie.Info from Gamespot.com

It was approximately five minutes into the newest Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg-produced comedy Good Boys, where child actor Jacob Tremblay mutters "F*** yeah!" after creating a female avatar with big breasts on a World of Warcraft-like online game and prepares to masturbate, that I realized I was witnessing the world premiere of the live-action South Park movie I never knew I needed.Your enjoyment of this movie depends heavily on your thoughts on South Park, 11-year-olds cursing, and mistaking anal beads for nunchucks. But like the best episodes of the 22-year-old Comedy Central series, Good Boys isn't only about how many swear words you can fit into a tight 95-minute movie (though it definitely gives South Park's infamous "It Hits the Fan" episode a run for its money). Indeed, the best moments of Good Boys are the little moments when the kids are just being kids, too innocent to realize that the doll they are kissing is not a CPR dummy, and naïve enough to treat an innocent kiss with the gravitas of marriage, while also being reckless enough to run across a busy freeway. While the raunchiness of Good Boys will instantly bring Superbad to mind, the film also shares a lot with coming-of-age movies like Stand By Me. Max (Jacob Tremblay like you've never seen him before) is at the age when he's starting to prioritize the cute girls in his 6th grade class more than his group of friends from kindergarten, who they refer to as the "Bean Bag Boys". When he gets the gang invited to their first "kissing party," they see the opportunity to change their lives forever.Rounding out the Bean Bag Boys are Thor (Brady Noon), whose musical theater ambitions war with his fear of being labeled a nerd, and the dopey, rule-following Lucas (Keith L. Williams), who is reeling from the news of his parents' divorce (Retta and Lil Rel Howery in short but impactful roles). In a scene that can best be described as the living embodiment of the "crying cooking" meme, the kids sing "Walking on Sunshine" during music class, as tears stream down Lucas's cheeks while he tries his best to keep up with the song and dance number.Making his directorial debut, The Office writer Gene Stupnitsky, who co-wrote the script with Lee Eisenberg, nails that specific moment in a kid's life when they are eager to prove that they're mature, but are still naïve about the ways of the world. These are boys who view recreational drug use as serious as murder, discuss taking three sips of beer like it's climbing Mount Everest, and still can't figure out how to open a childproof vitamin lock. Also like the best South Park episodes, Good Boys evolves from a simple story of boys wanting their first kiss, to a convoluted tail of blackmail, drug dealing, and high-speed bike chases, with stakes so high you'd swear you're watching Mission Impossible at points. A third act drug deal at a frat house turns into a paintball shootout that looks like Boogie Nights with 11-year-olds and had everyone at the film's SXSW premiere in stitches. If there's one negative aspect to Good Boys is that in their effort to shock the audience with pre-teens swearing, the film becomes a bit repetitive. After the 60-minute mark you will wish Jacob Tremblay's Max would drop something other than the F-bomb, and the film's multiple gags about the boys mistaking sex toys for other things gets tired. Thankfully, whenever a gag is about to become tiresome, the film switches gears and pulls a Butters, going for adorable and sweet to counter the raunchiness of the story. In an unusual move for an R-rated Seth Rogen film, Good has great messages about the dangers of drug use, consent, and bullying without it coming across as preachy. Keith L. Williams shows he was born to do comedy as the deadpan Lucas acts as the Jiminy Cricket of the group, unable to tell a lie, and constantly reminding his friends that you always ask a girl for consent before you kiss her. He makes it his mission in life to show Max's horny teenage neighbors that drugs are bad and destroy communities. Brady Noon's Thor reminds of a younger Jonah Hill, trying to act cool in front of people, but guarding the biggest and most vulnerable heart of them all. The normally innocent Jacob Tremblay cursing like a sailor is obviously a big selling point for the film, and he makes the most out of juxtaposing his cherubic look with the waves of profanity that come out of his mouth. The trio have great chemistry, instantly convincing you that they are long-time friends who fear nothing more than growing apart. The film leaves their future open-ended, and I for one would not mind this becoming a series of films following this group of friends into high school, college, and beyond. It helps that unlike the South Park gang, there is no Cartman in the Bean Bag Boys, so it's impossible not to fall for their genuine friendship.Good Boys manages to balance the raunchiness of an R-rated sex comedy with the sweetness and good intentions of a coming-of-age movie. These combine into a powerful story about childhood friendships and the difficulties of making them last. The GoodThe BadGreat chemistry between the actorsSome of the gags become repetitiveOne Cartman away from an actual live-action South Park reboot Laughs never stop or get in the way of the story's heart Goes from 0 to 60 in its increasingly insane scenarios Boogie Nights-inspired drug deal will leave audiences in stitches Info from Gamespot.com

The quest to unlock Destiny 1's loved and reviled Exotic hand cannon Thorn in Destiny 2 is now live, and some players have already worked their way through to unlock the powerful, legendary gun. The Thorn quest isn't too difficult in general, until you hit the last step: a tougher version of the Savathun's Song Strike that includes a bunch of tough-to-handle modifiers and additions. The Strike is likely to put most players through their paces, thanks to the modifiers making all the Hive enemies found within it hit a lot harder. We've put together a guide for getting Thorn that can help--beginning with the information you need to actually find the Thorn quest's start--but it's going to come down to grit, gumption, and skill to actually defeat Savathun's Song and the Arbiters to get a Thorn of your very own.Players have been working over Savathun's Song for quite a while now, and they've gotten pretty good at it. In fact, even in the Nightfall version of the Strike, it's usually possible to hit the boss so hard you kill it in one phase, rather than having to deal with it warping all over the arena and calling in tons of Hive reinforcements. It certainly makes the Strike a lot easier. That was probably the thinking in one run we did of the Thorn version of the Strike, Chasm of Screams, in which we found that Super abilities such as Blade Barrage could still wallop Savathun's Song, even if the difficulty had been amped up. After several failed attempts to finish the Strike and claim Thorn, our team--composed of folks gathered from the Destiny 2 app's Looking For Group feature--decided to try to take down Savathun first and go after the other bosses at the end of the Thorn Strike afterward.Turns out, you should definitely not do that. Under no circumstances should you kill Savathun's Song before the last phase of the Chasm of Screams Strike.Doing so automatically fails you, forcing you to run the whole Strike over again. The thing that sets Chasm of Screams apart from the regular version of Savathun's Song is the Arbiters, a set of Hive Knights that appear throughout the Strike. You have to kill all of them, and that includes the two that spawn right at the end of the fight with the boss. If you take out Savathun's Song before they spawn, the Strike will end as normal--and you won't get Thorn. We've got plenty more tips about how to speed your way through the Thorn quest and take home the villainous hand cannon. You might also want to read up on the lore behind Thorn, its rival The Last Word, and what they've all got to do with the Drifter.Info from Gamespot.com

We're another week deeper into Season 8 of Fortnite, and Epic has rolled out a new set of challenges to complete on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and mobile. Week 3's tasks run the gamut from destroying cacti to searching where the magnifying glass sits on the Treasure Map loading screen, with precious Battle Stars up for grabs for each challenge you complete. The ostensible reason to clear as many challenges as you can is to level up your Battle Pass and unlock the new Season 8 rewards, but there's an added incentive. If you finish all of the challenges from a given week, you'll complete a related Discovery challenge, which will reward you with a special loading screen that contains a subtle clue pointing to a free Battle Star or Banner--depending on the week--hiding somewhere around the island.Finish three full weekly sets of challenges in Season 8 and you'll unlock the loading screen below. This one depicts Sidewinder, one of the new skins introduced this season, fleeing a trap-infested temple with a golden serpent artifact under her arm. Look on the back wall just beneath her right elbow, however, and you'll spot the clue--an etching of a temple.Your first inclination will likely be to head to Sunny Steps, where the new Aztec-like pyramids are located, but the clue is actually pointing to a smaller shrine to the south of the area and east of the massive volcano. You can see its exact location on the map below. Chart a course there at the beginning of a match, find the shrine, and the Battle Star will appear on the steps. Collect it then finish the match and your Battle Pass will level up by one tier.If you need further help finding the hidden Battle Star, you can watch where we go to collect it in the video at the top of this guide. However, like usual, the Battle Star won't appear in the game unless you've completed the required number of challenges and unlocked the above loading screen, so you can't simply head to the right place and expect to find it if you haven't put in the necessary work.Along with Week 3's new challenges, Epic has brought back the heist-themed Getaway mode and its related High Stakes challenges for a limited time this week. Complete those by Tuesday, March 19 and you'll be able to unlock new and returning rewards, including the crowbar pickaxe skin. You can read more details about the Getaway mode in Epic's 8.10 update patch notes. We also have tips to help you complete this season's trickier challenges in our full Season 8 challenges guide.Info from Gamespot.com
