Blizzard Entertainment is seeing the departure of another long-time executive. Frank Pearce, who co-founded the company back when it was known as Silicon & Synapse, announced that he has decided to move on from the developer after 28 years.Pearce shared the news in a statement published on Blizzard's website. It does not suggest he's leaving for another company; instead, he talks about spending more time outdoors and pursuing other passions, like learning to play an instrument.Blizzard president J. Allen Brack also released a statement on Pearce parting ways with the company in which he talks up Pearce's role, despite the fact that he hasn't been in the most public-facing of roles."Like many of us, Frank is an introvert," Brack wrote. "Thus many of you haven’t seen a lot of him publicly, nor seen the deep impact he’s had on Blizzard, and on the culture specifically. But Frank has been here from the beginning, building and expanding the foundation and championing the values behind everything Blizzard does. Blizzard is better because of Frank Pearce."Fellow co-founder Mike Morhaime announced his departure from Blizzard late last year, with Brack assuming his role as president.Info from Gamespot.com

Having left in The Walking Dead Season 8, Andrew Lincoln is now set to reprise the role of Rick Grimes for upcoming movies. A teaser for the film for one of them was shown during a Walking Dead panel at San Diego Comic-Con. It features a helicopter flying towards a distant city, the skyline of which is silhouetted by that classic dusty yellow light that is synonymous with the show's aesthetic. As the light blankets the city, The Walking Dead's logo appears, followed by "Rick Grimes Returns." Grimes was last seen being carried away by helicopter in a near-death state. This no doubt means his harrowing existence isn't about to get any easier. The movies were previously thought to be made-for-TV, but it seems they've graduated, as the teaser also states, "Only in Theaters." As of yet, the first project doesn't have a name and was instead referred to as "Untilted The Walking Dead Movie." It is being produced by AMC, Skybound, and Universal. It seems to be a Comic-Con of ups and downs for The Walking Dead fans. The day began with news that Fear the Walking Dead has been renewed for Season 6. However, shortly after this Danai Gurira, who plays Michonne in The Walking Dead, announced she would be leaving the show after Season 10.Andrew Lincoln was rumored to be returning for the movies and this teaser confirms that this indeed will be the case. Reports this would happen emerged in February and, at the same time, they noted that Gurira would also eventually leave and is likely to appear in the movie(s)."These are going to be big, epic entertainments," Walking Dead chief content officer Scott Gimple said at the time, noting that they'd "probably" air on AMC, which is no longer the case. "Each are quality films. That’s what’s been happening in the industry. We've seen Netflix make these, basically, studio films for people to watch in their homes, and we're going to be doing the same sort of thing here."The first Rick Grimes movie is set to take place in a "very new situation with its own history" that is "very, very different from what we've seen before" according to Gimple. The first trailer for Netflix's The Witcher series is here. The trailer for the highly anticipated show was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con, and sets up both Geralt as the Witcher and the world he exists in. "I remember hearing stories about Witchers," a narrator says, before adding, "Is it true what they say?" Another character then offers a handy breakdown of society. Elves are described as the original sorcerers and they taught humans how to turn chaos into magic. The humans, in turn, slaughtered them."Chaos is the most dangerous thing in the world, but without control, chaos will kill you," says another character. We get to see shots of Henry Cavil as Geralt, riding around on his horse Roach. He's also shown receiving payment, which gives us a good look at Geralt's iconic armor. It's pointed out that Geralt's life seems fixated on monsters and money, which makes sense given that a Witcher's job is to hunt monsters and get paid for it. Geralt says as much, replying, "It's all it needs to be." But it's clear he's about to get wrapped up in something bigger. There are references to a special child--who is no doubt Ciri--who must seek out Geralt. There's a huge battle against Nilfgaard, and Yennefer is shown imagining herself as the most powerful woman in the world. "The worst monsters are the ones we create," reads the tag line.Alongside Cavil as Geralt, the show also stars Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Frey Allan as Ciri, MyAnna Buring as Tissaia, Jodhi May as Queen Calanthe, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson as Eist, and Adam Levy as Mousesack. In a recent interview, showrunner Lauren Hissrich spoke about the tone of the show, and revealed that it wouldn’t be for kids. "It's a very adult show. I will add it was important to me that any violence or sex drives the story and is not there just for shock value. I think audiences are really savvy and know when we're doing stuff to just shock them versus do stuff that really drives the story."The Witcher isn't the only big new series getting revealed for the first time at SDCC. HBO's His Dark Materials previewed on Thursday, while Netflix's The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance features on Friday and the Star Trek show Picard has a panel on Saturday. In a rather unexpected San Diego Comic-Con announcement, Cartoon Network announced that Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog is making a guest appearance in an upcoming episode of its popular animated series, OK K.O. Let's Be Heroes. And it won't only be the blue blur who's joining in on the fun, either. He'll be accompanied by longtime side-kick Miles "Tails" Prower, because why wouldn't he be?The reveal came in the form of a short clip, which shows the series protagonist K.O. finding his battle buddies too tired to be heroes. With no one around to help him, you can probably imagine what comes next. Watch the nostalgia-packed clip, which contains sick music and a genius nod to Sonic 3D Blast, in the video player below. For the uninitiated, OK K.O. Let’s Be Heroes is a cartoon series created by artist Ian Jones-Quartey. It debuted on Cartoon Network in 2017 and follows the adventures of K.O., a courageous and foolishly optimistic child attempting to be the greatest hero he can be in the video game-inspired world of Lakewood Plaza Turbo. The upcoming Sonic crossover episode is titled “Let’s Meet Sonic” and will premiere on Sunday, August 4 at 4:45 PM ET PT on Cartoon Network. You can also watch the episode via Cartoon Network's app. This isn't the first time Cartoon Network's OK K.O. Let's Be Heroes has touched anything games-related. While the series has been known to frequently reference classic video games, it has actually had a game of its own called OK K.O. Let's Play Heroes back in 2018. GameSpot reviewer Alexander Pan was rather mixed about the game, giving it a 6/10 and saying, "As far as adaptations go, OK K.O. Let's Play Heroes looks and sounds fantastic in a way that is distinct yet faithful to the source material. But the shallow mechanics, the repetitiveness of the gameplay loop, and narrative pacing issues prevent the game from being a rousing knockout." Info from Gamespot.com

Things are only going to get worse with the Whisperers in The Walking Dead. A new trailer released at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 shows that Michonne, Daryl, Ezekiel, Carol, and the rest of their gang are once again going to face a vicious adversary when Season 10 kicks off this fall. Watch the trailer below. The trailer hints at a lot of new developments on the way as the people of Alexandria and Hilltop struggle to deal with the spooky Whisperers, who seemingly just won't leave everyone alone. After the events of Season 9, it seems people are starting to put aside their differences with Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in the face of another adversary. The trailer spends a lot of time discussing the fact that people are growing more and more afraid of the Whisperers, and that's causing divisions. "People are putting their s----ing pants back on," Negan remarks. At Comic-Con, Danai Gurira confirmed that Season 10 is her last in the role of Michonne on The Walking Dead. The trailer suggests she'll get a proper sendoff, but that the season is going to be a fraught one for her emotionally. With Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) gone, she's lost her partner. The final shot of the trailer shows Michonne wielding Negan's bat, Lucille, which suggests the pressures she faces might be enough to push her to the dark side. The trailer also reveals the date for The Walking Dead Season 10's premiere: October 6. According to panel moderator Chris Hardwick, AMC plans to spend the 10 weeks ahead of the season's launch dropping big reveals on fans about what they can expect. AMC also showed a teaser for the first of the three Walking Dad movies centering on Rick, teasing the character's return. The teaser revealed that the movie won't air on AMC as previously believed--instead, it'll be shown in theaters.Info from Gamespot.com

With two episodes left in its 10th season, the cast and producer of FX's Archer stormed San Diego Comic-Con with a preview of the next new installment--"Cubert," which airs on July 24--and a Season 11 renewal. While "Cubert" is easily one of the best episodes of Season 10, showcasing Sterling Archer (H. Jon Benjamin) as he thinks a mysterious object is terrorizing the crew of his ship while he may instead be losing his mind, the news of Season 11 was what the fans in attendance at the panel were truly waiting for. After all, for the last three seasons Archer has been stuck in a coma as the show's characters continue to live on in his coma dream in a variety of situations, from space travel in the current Archer 1999 to the Danger Island season, in which they are marooned on a mysterious island. The following contains spoilers for the Season 10 finale of Archer. With the Season 11 announcement, it was revealed what form the show would be in next season. In the short teaser, many possibly happenings flash on the screen, including Archer having children, battling cancer, and getting into all kinds is trouble. However, it ends with him waking up from his coma, three years later. He learns that his mother has essentially moved into his hospital room and was waiting for him to wake up the entire time. However, she doesn't share many details about what's happened to others in his life since then.Archer's producers promised that Season 11 will see Archer getting back to the detective work that the show was known for prior to Sterling entering his coma. When that season will arrive remains a mystery, but Archer isn't done with FX back and he's finally getting back into fighting shape after nearly dying. Info from Gamespot.com

There's still more than a month before the 10-episode Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance--a prequel to the classic Jim Henson film--arrives on Netflix. However, producer Lisa Henson, director Louis Leterrier, and stars Taron Egerton and Mark Hamill came to San Diego Comic-Con ready to impress fans of the movie. The panel kicked off with a special look behind the scenes of the series, which also included a ton of new footage. Most impressively, the new teaser showed just how much of the series is done practically, with puppets and physical sets, each meticulously crafted to replicate what was seen in the film. "Everything is hand-sculpted, hand-painted," Henson said of the project's production and puppet design. Interestingly, Brian Froud, who served as conceptual designer on the original film, is back for Age of Resistance. Likewise, Wendy Froud, who worked on Dark Crystal, is joining him in constructing this world once again, as is their son Toby Froud--who you might remember from his role as baby Toby in Labyrinth. As for the scenes that were teased, they are massive in scope and show a war erupting between the Skeksis and the Gelflings. According to Egerton, what plays a big role in setting off the conflict is his character--a Gelfling named Rian--witnessing the Skeksis draining the life force of a fellow Gelfling. From there, Rian sets off on his journey to warn other groups of Gelflings.Outside of that, the Age of Resistance team made sure not to share too many details for fear of spoiling what's to come. However, Leterrier did tease that among the creatures from the movie that will be seen again are Fizzgig, the furry little balls of hair. Hamill also shared the voice he's given his character--a Skeksi known as The Scientist--and it's equal parts chilling and silly. In a touching moment, Hamill was also presented with the Comic-Con 2019 Icon Award by the San Diego Comic-Con organizers. "I told you how lucky I feel to be able to do all the things I loved as a kid and get paid for it," he said upon accepting the award. "This seems wildly excessive but appreciated... If it weren't for you, I certainly wouldn't be standing here. I started coming to these cons years before I knew George [Lucas]."To wrap up the panel, those in attendance were treated to a screening of the first episode of the series. The rest of the world, however, will have to wait until August 30 to see it on Netflix.Info from Gamespot.com

The cast of Game of Thrones took the stage at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, and although the series is over, the actors had plenty to share, especially as the panel's narrator--Entertainment Weekly's James Hibberd--didn't hesitate to ask tough questions about the controversial final season. The panel included Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth), Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), Conleth Hill (Varys), and Isaac Hempstead-Wright (Bran Stark).Hibberd opened with a banger, asking Isaac what his reign as King Bran the Broken is like."I can't imagine his government is a barrel of laughs," Hempstead-Wright said. "I think it must be quite serious. And I guess for all intents and purposes, Westeros is now a surveillance state, with Bran aware of everything everyone is doing." It's nice to know Hempstead-Wright shares the opinion of the many fans who have speculated about how Bran might use his powers as king.Meanwhile, what would King Bran do if he did manage to locate and take control of the runaway dragon, Drogon?"Burn a couple of cities down, go back and get the revenge," Hempstead-Wright joked.Later during the panel, Hibberd raised the issue of the "evil Bran theory"--that Bran let events unfold as they did, despite the massive loss of life, so that he would wind up on the throne at the end."I don't think Bran knows, per se, exactly what's going to happen in the future--he's not a fortune teller," Hempstead-Wright explained. "He's got the entirety of the past at his fingerprints, but his vision of the future is slightly cloudier. That's my excuse for why Bran didn't say anything. But I think it's quite cool that it's left slightly ambiguous and you can read into it.""I think that's one of the cleverest things about the ending, is it doesn't conclude everything very neatly," the actor continued.Coster-Waldau addressed the backlash to Season 8 directly. "It's gonna piss you off no matter what, because it's the end," the actor said. "But at the end of the day, it's absolutely fine--if you hated the ending, if you loved it, that's great. Just don't call people names."Coster-Waldau addressed his character's ending directly, as well. "I thought it was a great ending," the actor said. "I thought it was perfect for that character, ending in the arms of Cersei--it made sense to me." Members of the audience disagreed, judging by the scattered boos that emerged in Comic-Con's Hall H."That's just my opinion," Coster-Waldau replied, not without a sense of humor. As for Arya Stark, actress Maisie Williams has her own theories about what's going on "west of Westeros"--and opinions about the memes surrounding her character's ending."I'm sure she's having a wonderful time, like Dora the Explorer, minus the bob," Williams laughed. Of course, Hibberd followed up with the obvious question: Why didn't Bran simply tell Arya what's west of Westeros?"That was my favorite meme actually," Williams said. "It's like, 'What's west of Westeros? No one knows!' and then Bran's there like, 'Are you kidding me?'"Grey Worm's actor, Jacob Anderson, even addressed the theory about the poison butterflies that book readers know are present on Missandei's home island Naath, where Grey Worm was headed the last time we saw him in the series."People keep telling me that butterflies kill him," Anderson said, chuckling. "He gets there and there's poisonous butterflies. But I think he kept his promise to Missandei.""I think he's just starting a new society, like a Wakanda kind of vibe, in another part of the world," Anderson explained. For his part, Varys actor Conleth Hill was vocal in the past about being dissatisfied with his ending--in an interview, in fact, with Hibberd, this panel's moderator. Hill took this panel as an opportunity to set the record straight."I don't regret starting the petition," he joked (to be clear, he definitely didn't). "To be very honest, I did an interview with EW way after we finished the show, and the question was, 'How did you feel at the time?' and I was very honest that I was absolutely gutted to get so close but not make the end...I thought I gave a very honest answer to how I felt, but I put it in the context of, that was one of the risks of being in a multi-character show."I thought the initial interview was very balanced, but as you say, it was picked over like a whale on a beach...for the record, I loved all my ten years on Game of Thrones...it was a life-changing experience."Many more questions were answered during the panel.Cunningham said he wasn't sure whether Davos would have gone through with killing Melisandre after the Battle of Winterfell. "I'm not sure. Davos, I mean, he was described by some people as the moral compass of the piece, and you never saw him killing anybody," Cunningham said. "I think he'd have wanted to do it, but whether he would or not--I think his humanity was always going to rise to the surface. I'd like to think he'd have got someone else to do it."What about why Grey Worm didn't kill Jon Snow after Jon assassinated Daenerys? "In my head, I think there came a point toward the end where it was just like, enough is enough," Anderson said. "I think that's a big reason why he kind of left. It was like, everybody that was ever dear to him is dead now, and he'd only just learned how to have people be dear to him. So I think he just wanted to get--he was like, this is a violent place, and this is not what I want my existence to be anymore."Hilariously, Sam's actor, John Bradley, addressed one of the elephants in the room during the final season's airing--not the coffee cup present in the Winterfell feast scene, but the water bottle visible during the council scene in the final episode. The bottle was, of course, located next to Bradley's feet, but the actor actually believes it wasn't his. "I will say this, actually: that I'm right-handed," Bradley explained. "I thought about this very strongly. I'm right-handed, so if I'm drinking a water bottle with this hand, if I was going to put it on the floor, I think I'd put it on this side of my leg. But the bottle was on this side. So as a conspiracy theory...I will say that there's a guy on this side who might be right-handed as well. I think I've taken enough blame for this one."For the record, the character sitting to Bradley's left during the scene in question is never actually introduced, though fans speculated that he was actually Howland Reed--a character book readers have long looked forward to meeting, but who never wound up appearing officially in the show. So, sure, let's blame it on him.Overall, the tone of Game of Thrones' final Comic-Con panel was surprisingly warm. Everyone present seemed to have a sense of humor about Season 8's shortcomings--but also a realistic perspective regarding the bigger picture. Game of Thrones became a cultural phenomenon because so many fans love it and obsessed over it for many years, and an ending that many fans found disappointing didn't change the years of enjoyment preceding it. As Davos Seaworth once said, "Nothing f***s you harder than time." But luckily, nothing can change the past. Info from Gamespot.com

Editor's note: GameSpot originally reviewed Warframe in 2013 and gave it a 6. Due to substantial revisions and new content since its debut, we have re-examined Warframe as it is in 2019 and produced a new review to reflect its current state. To play Warframe is to reconcile yourself with the sensation that you're always a bit in over your head. Even six years after its debut, it's still something of an oddity within the realm of online action-RPGs. With an expanding universe housing a wealth of content, the free-to-play game offers a stellar amount of freedom to explore, uncover loot, and take on missions with its cast of stylish space ninjas. It takes a decidedly unorthodox approach with its non-linear adventure--sometimes frustratingly so--yet journeying across Warframe's massive universe is as satisfying as it is endearing. In GameSpot's original 2013 review, we praised the game's agile and hard-hitting combat but criticized the lack of meaningful features that effectively took advantage of those strengths. In the broader sense, the Warframe of old was a promising sketch of an idea that lacked reasons for investment. The Warframe of today, however, has filled out the bigger picture. Its vision is clearer, and it's now so much more than just space ninjas brawling in corridors. Some of Warframe's best moments involve venturing into the realms of deep space, exploring open worlds and, yes, engaging in combat to power up and take on greater challenges. When it comes to its gameplay and narrative, Warframe always seems to chuck you into the deep end. The larger story focuses on an interstellar clan of warriors known as the Tenno as they reacquaint themselves with a grander universe in perpetual conflict. You take control of a reawakened Frame--revitalized Tenno fighters from the distant past--to engage in missions against a myriad of enemy factions. This conceit of spacefaring ninjas slashing and shooting across the universe holds the loose narrative together while also giving you an impressive amount of freedom. Several cinematic quests shed light on the history of the Tenno, leading up to some profound moments that reveal a surprising depth for your character and their place in the galaxy.Warframe is a massive game with numerous, complex systems to dive into--but therein lies the rub. It's a challenging game to crack; even with hundreds of hours under my belt, I can still feel overwhelmed by how much game there is to unpack. However, the trick to understanding this game lies within finding your own focus in the nebulous grind--whether that's taking on a variety of side-activities and missions on a series of planets or investing time to customize, experiment, and tweak your favorite Frames. It can often feel like playing catch-up, considering there is six years' worth of content in the package, but it's a game that rewards taking the time to soak it all in, instead of rushing through. How you get accustomed to this surprisingly sink-or-swim structure will determine the mileage you get out of it. Most missions are singular, discrete encounters across the solar system. This piecemeal structure ultimately makes the massive game more digestible. There's a staggering amount of activities to dive into, and with over 40 hyper-stylized Frames to utilize, there's a constant sense of fun and surprise when discovering how deep it all runs. However, while the opening missions do well to get you into the basic swing of things when it comes to its core gameplay, the more in-depth systems are left for you to decipher on your own.The overall speed and flexibility in its action is something that it continually excels at, and there's a constant sense of grace and finesse that can make even the ordinary missions thrilling. This mostly hands-off approach in getting you acclimated can sometimes manifest feelings of aimlessness. And it's magnified when it becomes apparent that there isn't a traditional endgame to work up to. There are higher-end missions and stories designed for more experienced players, some focusing on endless fights against waves of enemies, but there isn't anything like raids to unlock later on. In many ways, you're introduced to that familiar endgame grind from the onset, and that often entails fine-tuning your suite of Frames to tackle many of the game's tougher challenges. The true star of Warframe are the various Frames, with each possessing their own unique designs and abilities. The pursuit of new characters to play as is one of the many constants in your journey, often dictating where you should invest your time. It always feels rewarding when you find a new Frame, especially when it's one that stands apart from the others. Some are highly specialized, such as the stealth-oriented Ash or the aquatic, alien-tentacle-summoning Hydroid. Another standout is Octavia, a Bard-like Frame that lets you craft custom music to amplify your abilities and attack enemies. One time, a squadmate of mine used Octavia's skills to effortlessly clear a hallway full of enemies--all to the tune of Salt-N-Pepa's "Push It."There is a ridiculous amount of room to experiment, and it can be especially fun strengthening one of the beginner Frames with powerful mods and armaments that can melt through enemies. It's also impressive how in-depth customization and personalization is in Warframe--you can apply different shaders, accessories, and even alter their particular animation set, and it's rare to find another player who has the same style and loadout. It's a necessity to get your Frame to reach its potential for them to be viable for more advanced activities. If you don't apply the correct mods and buffs to your character, it can often stop you in your tracks at some inconvenient moments in your progression. If you're committed to figuring out the intricacies of the game, then using online guides to understand these advanced mechanics, much like with other aspects of the game, is a must. These resources are a big help, but it's disappointing how often you have to use them, as opposed to the game teaching you the same information. Without them, learning these systems on your own can be a significant test of patience. You'll quickly find yourself in a rhythm of cutting down mobs of enemies and boosting your Frame's strength by collecting mods and earning experience as new gameplay systems and events open up. While the core gameplay is often satisfying, it's still common to see a streak of highly repetitive missions, most of which re-use tile-sets for procedurally-generated levels and objective types. This repetition can create a recurring feeling of déjà vu throughout, and there were times when this left me feeling exhausted after an extended play session with the game.To help ease this sense of repetition, Warframe does inject a number of variations on standard missions, as well as adding in new activities. Along with Nightmare challenges, harder versions of previously completed levels, several missions even remix past stages by including multiple enemy factions within one level, making some standard objectives far more hectic. Some objectives feature totally different gameplay modes, in particular incorporating the Archwing, which switches up the familiar action sequences with Wing Commander-style shooter levels. There's even a set of PvP game types, such as the Conclave and Duel modes, with the latter letting you invite another player to a player-made clan dojo to engage in a solo fight. Unfortunately, the PvP activities come across as exceedingly basic and clunky compared to the core PvE experience.Despite how much the game has grown over the years by adding in game-changing features, Waframe's roots are still planted firmly in its fast-paced and satisfying core combat. The overall speed and flexibility in its action is something that it continually excels at, and there's a constant sense of grace and finesse that can make even the ordinary missions thrilling. It often shows similar shades to a fast-paced corridor shooter by way of a stunning character-action game, with your squad tearing through enemies using myriad skills and armaments. The core combat and general traversal of Warframe can move at a blistering pace. Despite how complex they can get, they're still intuitive enough to dive into, and you can pull off Warframe's advanced acrobatics like gliding, wall-runs, and the appropriately named "Bullet Jump"--which darts your character in any direction--reasonably quickly. Melee combat also features its own complexities, allowing you to use an assortment of combos and aerial abilities to cut through legions of foes in flashy display. Over time, chaining together slick parkour leaps into fast strikes with your weapons can become second nature, resulting in Warframe's most gratifying and stylish encounters.Warframe can be daunting for newcomers, yet it can also prove a challenge for players--like myself--who take an extended break and have to learn the basics of new features while simultaneously unlearning outdated ones. Such is the case for online games, and fortunately, Warframe does have an active and open community to trade with and seek assistance from, and you can directly interact with others at various social spaces across different planets. It's common that you might have to consult outside resources in order to figure out what to do next, or else your progress might come to a halt abruptly.Stick with the game long enough, and you'll unlock access to the more involved cinematic story missions and open-world settings that best show the game's considerable growth. Unlike the fragmented storytelling in most of the game, these two pillars present a more guided plot that offers memorable narrative and character moments. Some of these missions even include the surprising addition of a dialogue system, which can result in some slightly different events in questlines. In the open-world settings of the Plains of Eidolon and the Orb Vallis, which open after you reach the planets they're located on, you can take in the sights of the large-scale worlds, take on dynamic bounties and events with squads, and even learn more about the brewing conflict within each setting. The Vallis' story is especially engaging, dealing with workers' rights and the perils of late-stage capitalism in the interstellar age. Though these main stories set in the open worlds tend to end far too quickly, the amount of nuance and narrative packed in was impressive, which left me wanting to spend more time in the settings to continue interacting with its characters.I'm continually pleased with the flexibility of Warframe's many systems, and how it allows for you to attain a variety of rewards and unlocks at your own pace. Of course, there is an assortment of items, weapons, and even Frames to purchase with real money or with Platinum, Warframe's premium currency. Fortunately, most items in the game are attainable through gameplay, allowing you to get into the nitty-gritty of the game's content mostly unabated. The in-game economy of Warframe is very active, and if you're resourceful enough, you can even trade some of your own gear and blueprints with other players for Platinum as well. When new content is introduced, the pathway to experiencing the quests or acquiring the next Frame is available to all players. This relaxed approach is reassuring, especially for a game of this magnitude. I generally find acquiring gear and new classes to be quite manageable. However, there are still some time-sinks that feel mostly arbitrary, resulting in the expected and sometimes lengthy grind that's commonplace in free-to-play games. To that end, the primary intent of Platinum is to circumvent both investments of time and resources.Thinking back to GameSpot's original review, it's interesting how much the game has improved, yet also how much has stayed the same. The game still has issues with repetition and lack of explanations for its more complex systems, but it's managed to overcome their severity by introducing so many events and revisions that continue to elevate it. While there are inevitable bouts of frustration here and there, I always manage to center myself once I move on to other opportunities. In a lot of ways, that's what Warframe manages to do best. One moment you're taking part in a random spy mission on Saturn, and the next, you're partnered up with a powerful squad of players that help you through several void fissures. Just when you feel like you've hit a lull, a better, and more fulfilling opportunity will likely present itself. Perhaps most importantly, Warframe makes sure that the time spent in its world is almost always well rewarded.Info from Gamespot.com

While many popular TV shows rarely leave it more than a year between seasons, Adult Swim's hugely popular animated series Rick & Morty has, so far, appeared less frequently. There was an 18-month wait between between Seasons 2 and 3, and the build-up to Season 4 has been even longer--more than two years will have passed by the time it arrives in November. With new details set to be shared during the Rick & Morty Comic-Con panel, show creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland have spoken about the upcoming season and assured fans that they'll never have to wait that long for another season again. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Harmon and Roiland alluded to the protracted contract negotiations that delayed Season 4 but ultimately led to a deal ensuring another 70 episodes of Rick & Morty."I think it's safe to say without fear of being wrong that the gap between Seasons 3 and 4 will be the longest and last time that it's ever so long that it's ridiculous," Harmon said. "I don't know how fast we can do it, but I know it will never be this long again. There were so many things that had to be settled before we even started Season 4, and it's really safe to say we're literally writing Season 5 while finishing Season 4 just to force ourselves to commit to a certain schedule."First Rick & Morty Season 4 images releasedThe pair confirmed that Season 4 will consist of 10 episodes, and while they were reluctant to reveal many details, they did hint at what fans can expect. "Without giving anything away, we have serialized stuff we check in on now and then that's sprinkled over the top of strong episodic episodes," Roiland said. "To fans of the show, they're going to want to watch them in order. [And] I would definitely say watch all of Season 3 before Season 4."Rick & Morty will feature at San Diego Comic-Con, which is currently underway. The Rick & Morty panel takes place on Friday, July 19 at 1 PM PT, at the Indigo Ballroom, Hilton San Diego Bayfront. In the EW interview, Harmon teased the panel. "Justin is going to kick me under the desk here, but I've been pushing to show at Comic-Con an animatic for an episode that we aborted in the early stages," he revealed. "We could fix it, but fixing it would take as long as doing a new episode."Roiland also spoke about the biggest incident of the show's last SDCC appearance, in 2017: the McDonald's Szechuan sauce controversy. The fast food giant released a limited edition version of the sauce, that was last sold in the 1990s and was referenced in a Season 3 episode of Rick & Morty. Unfortunately demand was so high that many fans were unable to get hold of it. "Aside from it being a weird bit of a bummer for everybody, it was also an insane thing we never predicted," Roiland said. "That joke in our show would have caused giant multibillion dollar corporation to bring back a sauce they used to serve in the late '90s."Although a specific premiere date for Rick & Morty Season 4 has not been announced yet, eager fans can check out one of the new episodes ahead of its TV screening at the Adult Swim Festival. It takes place in Los Angeles and runs from Friday, November 15 to Saturday, November 16, and is described by Adult Swim as a "one-of-a-kind, 360° fan experience."For more information about all the panels and events taking place at SDCC, check out GameSpot's guide to schedules, panels, and news. Pokemon Masters is on the way this summer, and the Pokemon Company has rolled out a fresh look at the game in action while we wait for our chance to try it for ourselves. The latest trailer shows more of the 3v3 Pokemon battles, support from other Trainers, and sync attacks with your Pokemon. The release date is still listed as "Summer 2019." It's bound to come relatively soon, but no firm release date has been set. It's coming to iOS and Android devices.Pokemon Masters takes the familiar Pokemon battling throughout the series and changes it up by featuring sync pairs of renowned trainers and their Pokemon partners. As a result there are a lot of familiar faces littered throughout the trailers so far, and this one is no exception. Masters also takes place in a new region, the island of Pasio. A move gauge fills up over the course of battle, so the flow of combat is spent managing the various meters of trainers you have on your team.Meanwhile, the next major installments in the series, Pokemon Sword and Shield, are set to come this fall. Nintendo is even putting out a special color scheme for the new Nintendo Switch Lite to accompany it.Info from Gamespot.com

The new trailer for It: Chapter 2 is here. The movie follows on from 2017's hugely successful Stephen King adaptation and it hits theaters in September 2019. You can watch it above or take a closer look with our trailer breakdown that examines new scenes, those inspired by the book, and more. The new trailer shows a few things fans of the book can expect to see in the upcoming movie, including a hint of the Adrian Mellon scene, in which two homophobic Derry residents attack a gay man--only to throw him right into the waiting arms of Pennywise. We also get a few looks at the monstrous clown as he goes after the adults who almost killed him 27 years earlier, and he doesn't seem to be holding back in claiming new victims. One scene that isn't in the book, set in a funhouse during a fair in Derry, finds the adult Bill Denbrough (James McAvoy) trying to save a young boy from the clown in a hall of mirrors. It: Chapter Two also stars Jessica Chastain as Beverly, Bill Hader as Richie, James Ransone as Eddie, Andy Bean as Stan, and Isaiah Mustafa as Mike. Bill Skarsgård returns as Pennywise, one of the guises of the terrifying interdimensional entity of the title. The movie releases on September 9.The movie also featured last night, July 17, at New Line Cinema's annual Scarediego event at San Diego Comic-Con. As well as the new trailer, fans got a chance to see three clips from the film. These include the iconic scene in which the adult versions of the characters meet for the first time at a restaurant in Derry, plus a longer version of the funhouse scene in trailer. Check out full details of all the It: Chapter Two SDCC exclusive footage here. It's unclear when that will make its way online. In related news, a new TV version of King's fantasy series The Dark Tower is on the way. A movie adaptation arrived a few months before the first It movie in 2017 but flopped at the box office. This new version is being overseen by former Walking Dead showrunner Glen Mazzara and is being produced for Amazon.Info from Gamespot.com
