When you think of Tony Hawk, who you may have almost recognized at the airport, his many games' incredible soundtracks probably come to mind. The Birdman is a big fan of the punk rock included in those early games, and he covered the original's best song with some help from his famous friends. And no, that song is not "Superman."The song is "No Cigar" by Millencolin, featured in the original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater as well as the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 remake released in 2020. Hawk himself takes lead vocal duties as he skates down the street, with Millencolin lead singer and bassist Nikola Sarcevic taking on background vocal duties. Darrin Pfeiffer, formerly of Goldfinger and currently touring with Punk Rock Karoake, is behind the kit, and pro skater Steve Caballero and Mikey Hawdon both share guitar duty. The video itself is edited to resemble a video game, with scores and ranks going up over the course of the song. If only it could have been filmed in the Warehouse, which is a real place, it would have been perfect.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

There is an ongoing fan theory that the Ted Lasso character Roy Kent is not a real person portrayed by Brett Goldstein but instead is a CGI character. This is obviously not true, but the internet being what it is, the theory has a lot of momentum and is generating many funny headlines.Goldstein himself has now responded to the wackiness. In a post on Instagram, Goldstein started off by acknowledging that there is a "f**king load of mad sh** happening on the internet today, as usual." View this post on InstagramA post shared by Brett Goldstein (@mrbrettgoldstein)Goldstein presents the video to camera using his 3D Memoji character as a joke to play up the fact that he is indeed CGI and not a real human. It's a pretty excellent joke and it's sure to keep everyone talking about this, and Ted Lasso in general, which is the whole idea.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands' upcoming 9.1.5 patch is now live on the game's public test realm, and fresh patch notes reveal even more changes coming to Blizzard's MMO that hadn't been previously disclosed. The biggest of those changes is the removal of the game's area-of-effect (or AOE) cap. Added in Shadowlands, the AOE cap makes it so many abilities which are capable of hitting multiple enemies can only affect a maximum number of targets. That will be going away in 9.1.5, which will see abilities that are currently AOE capped instead doing reduced damage to enemies beyond the first five targets.A developer note in the full patch notes explains the reason for the change:Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Players recently got hands-on with Call of Duty: Vanguard in a PlayStation-exclusive alpha, which featured the new Champion Hill mode, and the developers have already detailed patch notes for significant changes coming ahead of the standard multiplayer beta.Champion Hill played like a sweaty Gunfight tournament that mixed small-scale Gunfight with battle royale themes, as duos and trios competed in a series of rounds to be the last team standing. And overall, the alpha test ran really smooth, and the mode was really interesting. However, players definitely had a few concerns, especially with some issues of low visibility and lighting. Thankfully, those are among the issues developer Sledgehammer Games will be addressing in the beta based on feedback from the alpha. Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Twitch saw its viewership drop significantly after livestreamers both big and small refused to go live on September 1 to protest the ongoing hate raids.According to The Verge, Twitch had nearly one million fewer hours watched and more than 14,000 less channels live on September 1, the day of the #ADayOffTwitch campaign. When compared to data compiled by gaming analytics company Gamesight from the eight days prior, the dip is obvious. For example, August 25, a week before the scheduled protest, saw some 4,083,518 hours watched and 189,472 channels live. September 1's numbers looked starkly different: 3,456,576 hours watched and 171,682 channels live. It's worth noting that all figures were culled at noon each day, long before the campaign ended, and thus they con't reflect the full day's reduction in viewership.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

World of Warcraft has always been defined by one question: Horde or Alliance? That faction divide has shaped the game since it first launched, with Horde and Alliance players unable to team up with one another for dungeons, raids, or other endgame content. But that might not always be the case. In a Twitter thread discussing WoW's upcoming 9.1.5 patch, game director Ion Hazzikostas discussed the importance of how the game's narrative factors into gameplay, but clarified that "story considerations alone" shouldn't dictate "frustrating mechanics." Patch 9.1.5 will finally allow players to change Covenants without penalty, something Blizzard previously seemed reluctant to allow sooner due to story purposes. In the current Shadowlands story as of patch 9.1, the various Covenants of the Shadowlands have largely converged to join forces and battle against the Jailer. Hazzikostas says that provides a narrative justification for more flexibility in allowing players to soon be able to freely swap between the different Covenants.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Venom: Let There Be Carnage pits its titular character against a remorseless serial killer, but much of that violence may be off-screen, as the film is receiving the same PG-13 rating as its predecessor, Sony has announced (via IGN).The MPA's Film Ratings site lists the reasons for each film, and for Venom: Let There Be Carnage, we can look forward to "intense sequences of violence and action, some strong language, disturbing material, and suggestive references." The first Venom film, which raked in $853 million at the worldwide box office, was also rated PG-13. There, it was for "intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action, and for language."The sequel stars Tom Hardy as reporter Eddie Brock who, following the first film, now lives alongside the symbiote Venom, and introduces Woody Harrelson as the serial killer Cletus Kasady, who appeared briefly in a post-credits stinger for the first film. Kasady becomes infected with a piece of the Venom symbiote, which feeds off of the murderer's intentions and becomes its own organism known as Carnage. The story is most likely adapting pieces of the Maximum Carnage storyline from the Marvel comics, albeit without the addition of Spider-Man in the mix.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
