Destiny 2 is about to go through some pretty massive changes. In its latest blog post, Bungie outlined exactly when it's adding cross save to the game--and with it, the ability to transfer characters between PS4, Xbox One, and PC. There are only a couple of weeks before Guardians can start defending the solar system on any platform they want. That makes this a great chance to fill out your Exotic collection before making the jump. As always, Xur has arrived for the weekend with another batch of Exotic items for just that purpose.Where Is Xur?You can find Xur on Nessus. Head to the Watcher's Grave transmat zone, then ride northwest up to Calus's floating barge, where you'll find Werner 99-40. Xur is standing at the back of the barge, admiring the view. What Is Xur Selling? As is always the case, Xur brings one Exotic weapon and three pieces of Exotic armor, one specific to each character class. If you need something Xur isn't carrying, you can always snag an expensive Fated Engram, which will guarantee you an Exotic you don't already have--but only from the first year of Destiny 2 content or Forsaken. Anything that has come from the Annual Pass expansions over the last year won't be in the Fated Engram pool, so make sure you know what you need before you buy. You can also grab a Five of Swords card, which lets you adjust Nightfall runs for higher scores, and an Invitation of the Nine from the Season of the Drifter if you haven't completed them all yet.The Colony (Exotic grenade launcher) -- 29 Legendary ShardsShards of Galanor (Exotic Hunter gauntlets) -- 23 Legendary ShardsChromatic Fire (Exotic Warlock chest armor) -- 23 Legendary ShardsACD/0 Feedback Fence (Exotic Titan gauntlets) -- 23 Legendary ShardsThe ColonyXur's weapon this week is The Colony, a handy grenade launcher if you're struggling to hit your opponents with arcing grenade shots. It fires spider bots that track their prey over a short distance, running them down and exploding. That makes it very useful for the Crucible, especially if you're trying to get grenade kills for the Mountaintop pinnacle weapon quest.ACD/0 Feedback FenceTitans can pick up an old piece of Exotic armor. The ACD/0 Feedback Fence gauntlets are great if you're the kind of Guardian who likes to mix it up at close ranges and dish out a lot of melee punishment. Notching melee kills builds up energy in the gauntlets, and when you get hit with a melee strike, the energy explodes outward.Rolls:Slot 1: Pulse Rifle Loader; Sidearm Loader; Momentum TransferSlot 2: Sniper Rifle Scavenger; Machine Gun ScavengerShards Of GalanorHunters get the Year Two Exotic in Xur's haul this week. Shards of Galanor amp up your Blade Barrage Super, returning Super energy when you get hits and kills with it. Bungie nerfed the Exotic gauntlets not too long ago, so they're not as effective as they used to be, but these gauntlets are still worth snagging if you don't have them. This roll is also pretty solid, offering two Enhanced perks.Rolls:Slot 1: Bow Reloader; Enhanced Impact Induction; Enhanced Hand Cannon LoaderSlot 2: Rocket Launcher Scavenger; Sniper Rifle ScavengerChromatic FireA handy Exotic for Warlocks chasing orbs during the Solstice of Heroes, Chromatic Fire creates elemental explosions. When you're wearing it, enemies you take out with precision kills will explode, firing off elemental energy of the subclass you're using. That can make it useful for creating orbs even when you're using your Kinetic weapons during the Solstice.Rolls:Slot 1: Unflinching Fusion Rifle Aim; Unflinching Hand Cannon Aim; Unflinching Sniper AimSlot 2: Bow Reserves; Special Ammo Finder Info from Gamespot.com

A new entry to the Guilty Gear franchise was unveiled during EVO 2019. Currently dubbed Guilty Gear 2020, there is very little information about the upcoming fighting game. However, Guilty Gear's general director Daisuke Ishiwatari is calling this new entry a "brand-new experience" that seeks to confront the core elements of the fighting game genre.Ishiwatari wrote a lengthy note tweeted out by Arc System Works, stating the goal of Guilty Gear 2020 is to excite both new and existing players. To that end, Ishiwatari and his team are aiming to create a title "unlike those of the past." Guilty Gear 2020, according to Ishiwatari, is not an evolution of the franchise nor a return to its roots. By "disassembl[ing] the current franchise into fragments," Ishiwatari wrote, Arc System Works' intention is "a full-frontal confrontation with the essence of the fighting game genre."A few words from Daisuke Ishiwatari on the new #GuiltyGear...Official Guilty Gear Website: https://t.co/5t2AD9wFxi pic.twitter.com/Dh20lleKH0 — Arc System Works @ #BBTank (@ArcSystemWorksU) August 9, 2019The teaser trailer, above, is a brisk minute-and-a-half long, but it boasts stunning visuals and a camera system that transitions between 2.5D and 3D to give fights a more cinematic vibe. Series mainstays Ky Kiske and Sol Badguy (who is voiced by Ishiwatari himself) are seen battling and hopping between various locales similar to Dragon Ball FighterZ. Just before the trailer closes, Arc System Works introduces a new character: an African American male with dreadlocks and two katanas that looks like a cross between Afro Samurai and legendary two-sword samurai Musashi Miyamoto.Though no release window has been confirmed and no platforms have been announced, Guilty Gear 2020 is expected to arrive sometime next year.Speaking of Dragon Ball FighterZ, Janemba is the game's latest DLC character as part of the FighterZ Pass 2. He joins previously announced Pass 2 characters GT Goku, Jiren, and Videl. Also in Janemba's announcement trailer, SSGSS Gogeta is said to be joining the roster soon. Dragon Ball FighterZ's FighterZ Pass 2 retails for $25 USD / $36 AUD / £20 GBP, though each individual character can be purchased for $5 USD / $7 AUD / £4 GBP.Info from Gamespot.com

Though Annapurna Interactive has a bevy of award-winning games under its belt, including Donut County, Florence, Gorogoa, and What Remains of Edith Finch, the publisher's parent company seems to be in a financial bind, The Hollywood Reporter reports. Annapurna Pictures, the film production company best known for popular hits like 2013's Her (starring Joaquin Phoenix) and 2014's Foxcatcher (starring Steve Carell), has retained a law firm to explore bankruptcy protection.According to THR's report, Annapurna Pictures could "no longer sustain the [bleeding of money]" from lackluster box office performers like 2016's black comedy thriller The Bad Batch (starring Keanu Reeves), 2017's crime drama Detroit (starring John Boyega), 2019's animated adventure Missing Link (starring Hugh Jackman), and more. An Annapurna spokesperson told THR that the company "is in negotiations to restructure [its] deals with the banks [but] are dedicated to Annapurna's future."The company, founded in 2011 by the daughter of Oracle Corporation's co-founder Larry Ellison, has several arms under its umbrella, including prolific indie publisher Annapurna Interactive. Company founder Megan Ellison, following THR's report, sent a note to her staff, saying, "Restructuring deals with financial institutions is not uncommon, [but] the truth is that we [Annapurna Pictures] are well on our continued path toward success." She said that giving a "sense of security" is paramount to her and the company as a whole. "I believe in what we make and have no intention of stopping any time soon," Megan wrote. "We have a lot of exciting things on the horizon and I have no doubt all of our hard work will continue to show Annapurna's unique and powerful place in this industry."As Gamasutra notes, It's unclear how the company's "restructuring" will affect Annapurna Interactive. There's also no clarification on how well the publisher's games have been doing as of late.Annapurna Interactive recently announced its haunting adventure title Twelve Minutes on Xbox's stage during E3 2019. The studio's latest publishing credits, Outer Wilds, launched on PC and Xbox One in May 2019. In our Outer Wilds review, we said, "By letting you chart your own course and piece together its mystery at your own pace, Outer Wilds makes each of its expeditions feel incredibly personal and absolutely unmissable."Info from Gamespot.com

The voice chat app Discord is adding a new feature soon, which will allow streaming in a limited capacity. The Go Live feature will let you share your gameplay with up to 10 friends over the voice channel. The new feature is set to launch on August 15.Go Live will let you broadcast on PC with low latency for a more social experience. Nitro subscribers will get some extra features too. Nitro Classic users will be able to stream up to 1080p and 60 FPS, and Nitro users can stream in 4K at 60 FPS. Nitro is a subscription service for PC games, offering a curated library for $10 per month.Though the limited viewership means Discord's feature isn't exactly a match for streaming services like YouTube, Twitch, and Mixer that allow you to cultivate large audiences, the limitation appears aimed at making smaller social experiences among groups of friends.Last year, Discord also announced plans to undercut Epic's revenue sharing model by offering devs 90% of revenue on sales through its store. Epic has already been providing competition with Steam by offering an 88/12 split as opposed to Steam's 70/30, so Discord's would provide further competition in the market. Discord hasn't made further announcements regarding these plans since then, however.Info from Gamespot.com

Though no longer airing across its television networks--including ABC and ESPNews--Bloomberg reports that the tournament will still stream this weekend on ESPN's digital channels and the ESPN app.Earlier this week, President Donald Trump said "the gruesome and grisly video games that are now commonplace" are why mass shootings are becoming normalized. Take-Two Interactive's CEO responded, calling the President's comments "disrespectful and irresponsible." The Entertainment Software Association (the organization behind E3) refuted the President's statement, saying "numerous scientific studies have established that there is no causal connection between video games and violence."Info from Gamespot.com

Fortnite's latest batch of Season X challenges are now live on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices. This week's set is called Spray and Pray, and as its name implies, a lot of its challenges involve graffiti. One such mission asks you to spray different gas stations. If you need help finding those, we've put together this handy guide showing you where to go.Where Are The Gas Station Locations? There are eight gas stations in total around the island, but one of these was located in Neo Titled, which was recently transformed by a Rift Zone into the Wild West-themed Titled Town following the 10.00 content update, so its gas station no longer appears in the area. However, given that the Rift Zones can change a portion of the map at any time, there's a chance Neo Titled as we know it can return at some point during Season X.The gas stations are generally spread out around the island, but you can find a few of them grouped together in the western portion of the map, making that area a good place to look if you're hoping to complete this challenge quickly. We've marked down all of the gas station locations below.Neo Tilted (currently unavailable)Eastern side of Pleasant ParkAlong the road south of Pleasant ParkNorth of Polar Peak, near the indoor soccer fieldArea just north of Lucky LandingNorthern end of Salty SpringsSouthern end of Paradise PalmsSouthern edge of the island east of Paradise PalmsHow To Complete The ChallengeOnce you know where to look, all you need to do is track down three of the gas stations, then leave a spray on them to complete the challenge. As the challenge name states, however, you need to visit three different stations in order for your progress to count; you can't simply return to the same station in different matches and complete the challenge that way.Once you've sprayed three different gas stations, the challenge will be complete and you'll earn 10 Battle Stars for your trouble. We're in Week 2 of Fortnite Season X, and there's a new batch of challenges for Battle Pass holders to complete in the popular battle royale game. This week's set of missions is called Spray and Pray, and most of the tasks vaguely revolve around graffiti, such as one that asks you to find lost spray cans. If you're not sure of where to look, we've put together this guide to help you complete the challenge.Where Are The Spray Can Locations? The spray cans you need to find for this challenge are hidden all across Fortnite's island, and they're quite small, making it difficult to track them down if you don't already know where to look. There are several of them in total scattered around the map, but you only need to find five to finish the task. We've marked down the locations of the ones we've spotted below.Junk Junction: Next to a pile of garbage at the top of the areaViking village: Next to the tree at the foot of the waterfallUmbrella-shaped mine: Next to a stack of barrels at the bottom of the areaPressure Plant: Next to a pillar at the bottom of the lava streamShifty Shafts: Enter the mine, then make a left and break through the wallNext to a tent near the nightclub northeast of Happy HamletSouth of Paradise Palms, next to a tree near the scrapyardHow To Complete The ChallengeOnce you know where to look, completing the challenge is simply a matter of going to the right areas, then walking up to the spray cans and searching them. You'll know you're close to one when you see graffiti scrawled on a nearby object or wall--that's your signal there's a spray can nearby. Once you've searched five of the cans, the challenge will be complete and you'll earn 10 Battle Stars for your trouble.Developer Epic Games is handling challenges a little differently this season. This time, the studio is grouping missions into different themed sets, like the aforementioned Spray and Pray tasks. These are only available to Battle Pass holders; unlike past seasons, Epic is no longer offering some challenges for free to everyone, so you'll need to pick up a pass if you want to get access to these missions. If you need help completing some of this season's objectives, you can find maps and guides in our ongoing Fortnite Season X challenges roundup.Fortnite Season X CoverageFortnite Season 10 Battle Pass: Skins, Price, How It Works, And MoreFortnite Season 10 Battle Pass Rewards: Skins, Emotes, Back Bling, Pets, And MoreFortnite Season 10 Update Notes: BRUTE Mech, Rift Zones, And MoreFortnite Season 10: Big Changes To How Daily & Weekly Challenges WorkFortnite Season 10 Map Changes: Rift Zones, Comet, Skeleton, And MoreFortnite 10.00 Content Update: Titled Town, Automatic Sniper Rifle, And MoreInfo from Gamespot.com

Pokemon Sword and Shield are coming to Nintendo Switch this fall, and the pair will introduce a few new mechanics to the series, such as Gigantamaxing and Max Raid Battles. Those aren't the only features the games are adding to the mix, however. Following the latest Galar Research Update video, The Pokemon Company revealed another new mechanic in the upcoming titles: Poke Jobs. Each Pokemon Center in the Galar region features a new type of PC called a Rotomi. In addition to being able to store your extra Pokemon here, the Rotomi appears to serve a similar purpose as job boards in other RPGs, letting you browse through a list of available Poke Jobs. Once you accept one, you can then send Pokemon from your boxes out to complete the task, and they'll return after a certain amount of time with rewards.According to the official Pokemon website, Pokemon you send off on jobs will earn experience points and may even net you some rare items. Certain types of Pokemon will be more suited to specific jobs, and the amount of rewards you receive will depend on how long the Pokemon worked and how suited they were for the task.We also recently learned that Sword and Shield will feature their own regional variant Pokemon, much like Sun and Moon before them. The games' latest trailer revealed Galarian forms of Weezing, Zigzagoon, and Linoone. Interestingly, the Galarian version of Linoone is capable of evolving into an entirely new Pokemon named Obstagoon. The latest trailer also revealed Gen 8's adorable Electric rodent, Morpeko, which resembles a hamster and is able to change between "Full Belly" and "Hangry" forms. Additionally, the video introduced two new rival characters, Bede and Marnie, as well as this generation's villainous team, Team Yell.Pokemon Sword and Shield launch for Switch on November 15, just a few days after Nintendo releases a special Pokemon edition Nintendo Switch Lite. At a Federal Trade Commission (FTC) public panel on microtransactions in video games, the Entertainment Software Association announced that all three console platform-holders have agreed to a voluntary change in their policies toward loot boxes. Though the ESA's Michael Warnecke defended the practice in broad terms, he said, going forward, any new games or game updates that add loot boxes on Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony platforms will be required to disclose the rarity rates of items."Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony have indicated to the ESA a commitment to new platform policies with respect to the use of paid loot boxes in games that are developed for their platform," Warnecke said. "Specifically, this would apply to new games and game updates that add loot box features, and it would require the disclosure of the relative rarity or probabilities of obtaining randomized virtual items in games available on their platforms."Warnecke noted that many leading publishers that are members of the ESA have committed to a similar approach at the publisher level, and that this voluntary disclosure puts all platforms on par with the mobile disclosure requirements. In a statement, the ESA noted that publishers who have agreed to the disclosures include Activision Blizzard, Bandai Namco, Bethesda, Bungie, Electronic Arts, Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony, Take-Two Interactive, Ubisoft, Warner Bros., and Wizards of the Coast. The disclosures are said to be coming by the end of 2020, and other ESA member companies are considering joining the policy."This approach would also be compatible with the Apple and Google approach on the mobile platform. We believe that, taken together, this provides a comprehensive approach to ensuring that consumers get the information they need so they can make informed purchasing decisions when it comes to paid loot boxes."GameSpot has contacted Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony, along with relevant ESA member companies, for comment on the new initiative and their participation. Their responses can be seen in the list below, which will be updated further as publishers respond. The FTC's public workshop on loot boxes has concluded. This workshop is the FTC's first official response to increasing calls to regulate the use of loot boxes, including a bill that would ban the practice. Rocket League developer Psyonix has already announced plans to do away with loot boxes this year.Capcom: "Capcom will continue to comply with industry standard practices such as disclosures for 'In-Game Purchases' labels on packaging. Furthermore, to clarify, Capcom does not currently have console games that support purchasable loot boxes offering in-game virtual items, but will continue to monitor standards for potential policies in the future."Electronic Arts: "We applaud the new initiatives from console makers and publishers to provide more information to players. Beginning last year, we introduced probability disclosures where applicable in all our new games, across all platforms, and will continue to provide this information to help our players as we move forward."Epic Games: "Earlier this year, the Fortnite Save the World team made a change that showed players every item that they would get in a paid llama before opening it. Earlier this week, the team at Psyonix announced a similar change coming later this year to paid crates in Rocket League. Going forward, we’re committed to the same transparency for player purchases in all Epic Games titles."Microsoft: "We believe in transparency with customers and providing them information for making their purchase decisions. This is a new policy that affects all new apps or games by 2020 offering 'loot boxes' or other mechanisms on Microsoft platforms that provide randomized virtual items for purchase must disclose to customers, prior to purchase, the odds of receiving each item. In addition, we’re proud to offer robust family settings that offer further control over in-game purchasing."Nintendo: "At Nintendo, ensuring that our customers can make informed choices when they play our games is very important. As part of our ongoing efforts in this area, Nintendo will require disclosure of drop rates in Nintendo Switch games that offer randomized virtual items for purchase, such as loot boxes. This requirement will apply to all new games and includes updates to current games that add loot boxes through in-game purchases. "We also offer tools like our Nintendo Switch Parental Controls mobile app, which empowers parents to choose what works for their family, including managing in-game purchases and setting playtime limits."Sony: "Sony Interactive Entertainment aims to ensure PlayStation users have access to information and tools, such as parental wallet controls, that will help them make informed decisions about in-game purchasing. We support industry efforts to disclose the probability of obtaining randomized virtual items, known as loot boxes, and are committed to providing consumers with this information for all games we produce and publish."THQ: "THQ Nordic GmbH and THQ Nordic Inc. have not made a commitment on loot box odds disclosure, because a.) we have not been asked by [the ESA government affairs office] for a statement ahead of their publication, b.) we currently do not have a single game with lootbox mechanics published, and c.) we do not plan to implement casino-styled mechanics in our games."Wizards of the Coast: "Wizards of the Coast has championed the disclosure of odds when purchasing virtual items and will continue to ensure players and parents of players make informed choices about their purchases.Info from Gamespot.com

The Pokemon Company has shared a new trailer for Pokemon Sword and Shield. Not only does the video give us our first look at the games' villainous team, it also reveals another handful of Gen 8 Pokemon, including Galarian forms of a couple of older monsters--one of which is receiving a brand-new evolution in the upcoming titles.Just as in Sun and Moon on 3DS, some older Pokemon will have a different appearance and typing in the Galar region. That includes the raccoon-like Pokemon Zigzagoon and its evolution, Linoone, which were originally introduced in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire on Game Boy Advance. In the Galar region, Zigzagoon and Linoone are Dark/Normal-types and have black and white fur rather than brown, giving them a rocker look. While Linoone is traditionally the end of this evolutionary line, in the Galar region, it is capable of evolving into a brand-new Pokemon called Obstagoon. It may not be the only old Pokemon to receive a new evolution, either; as the official Pokemon website explains, "some regional forms have developed unique Evolutions unseen in any other region," suggesting other Galarian forms may also get a new evolutionary branch.ObstagoonIn addition to Zigzagoon and Linoone, we saw a new Galarian form of Weezing, which has smokestacks atop its two heads that resemble top hats, making it look like a dapper English gentleman. The Pokemon Company also revealed a new monster called Morpeko, which has "fully belly" and "hangry" forms, as well as the first details on Poke Jobs.Pokemon Sword and Shield launch for Nintendo Switch on November 15.
