In a statement, EA said, "Syndicate and Ultima Underworld are back! It seems that twenty years on there’s still plenty of love for these titles so we’re pleased to confirm that effective immediately they’ll be available again on GOG, and we’ll be keeping them in the store for the foreseeable future. A port of an emulator for original PlayStation games, DuckStation, is now available to manually install onto Xbox Series X|S consoles. Not only can players now play PS1 games on the latest Xbox consoles, but DuckStation also has the ability to upscale the games to native 4K at 60fps.As noted by VGC, YouTuber Modern Vintage Gamer has demonstrated how DuckStation can run on Xbox consoles. DuckStation also gives players the ability to turn on True Color Rendering, which disables the white noise dithering effect that the original PlayStation had. Additionally, Texture Filtering can be turned on which makes the blocky textures on 3D objects appear smoother as they get bigger.DuckStation can also fix texture warping, which is when straight edges warp or shake as the camera pans across a scene. This is a common issue with PS1 games, observed mostly in the 3D intensive games such as Metal Gear Solid.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Chadwick Boseman's time on Marvel's What If...? show was not meant to be his last performance as T'Challa, but his passing last August made it so. While Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is going on without Boseman, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige said the actor's final performance as the character is influencing the upcoming film, Variety reports.Kevin Feige opens up about Chadwick Boseman's final performance as T'Challa in #WhatIf, revealing how it informed the direction of #BlackPanther2 at the time. https://t.co/BcSX5GyNzt pic.twitter.com/Y97vH18ZL3 — Variety (@Variety) August 17, 2021"We didn't know it would be his final perfomance, obviously," Feige said of Boseman's time on What If...?. "He came in numerous times, was so gung ho about it, was so excited about it. He read the episode that airs 24 hours from now and then came back and said 'I really love this version of T’Challa.' We had a conversation after that with Ryan [Coogler, director of Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever] about how do we get some of this voice--none of the storyline--but just some of that voice into Panther 2. I’m excited for the fans to see that as well."Asked if Marvel had plans for the upcoming anniversary of Boseman's death on August 28, Feige said that "every day is a tribute to him right now as we're filming in Atlanta, every single day."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The science fiction films of the 1980s were filled with iconic imagery that still resonates with fans today. It makes sense, then, that Nerf saw fit to bring one of the most memorable guns in cinema to life: The Armat M41-A Pulse Blaster, used by the Colonial Marine Corps in Ridley Scott's 1986 film Aliens."Celebrate the 35th anniversary of the iconic Aliens film with the Nerf Lmtd M41-A Pulse Blaster, capturing authentic details inspired by the equipment of the film's Colonial Marine Corps," reads the official description for the weapon. The Pulse Blaster is a bit different from its cinematic counterpart, swapping out beige and gunmetal colors for yellow and light-gray styling that calls to mind the bright yellow Power Loader that Ripley uses against the Xenomorph in the film. The blaster is 28 inches long and comes pre-assembled in themed packaging designed for display. You can fire single Mega dart shots with the blaster's pump-action loader or go hot and fire from the 10-round clip in fully-motorized Elite mode. Perhaps most important though, is that along with movie-accurate sound effects, the blaster features an electronic dart counter so that you can feel the full terror of running out of ammo while Xenomorphs loom ever closer. Acid-blooded aliens are not included in the package, however, so you'll have to supply those.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

In the years prior to Julius Caesar's rule of ancient Rome, the legions of the empire were led by a wealthy general known as Marcus Crassus. He was infamous for many things, one of which was his revival of decimation--a harrowing means to control the army by punishing the collective for the actions of singular dissidents. Soldiers were divided into groups of ten, where each would draw stones. The one unfortunate enough to draw a white one would be beaten to death by the remaining nine, regardless of their involvement in any crimes against the empire. It instilled not only fear, but a strong sense of responsibility among the legions of soldiers, who quickly learned to self-discipline in the face of such punishment. The Forgotten City, a narrative puzzle game that started out as a Skyrim mod, uses the principle of decimation as its basis. It's an anecdote used to describe the game's most prominent mechanic, The Golden Rule, which is an ever-present threat to the small community trapped in a desolate and secluded city deep in the Roman mountains. A god watching over the community threatens to turn everyone into gold should anyone commit a sin. In theory this should lead to a utopia, a land where its people are forced into peaceful co-existence through the persistent threat of imminent and absolute destruction. But it's not long before you realize that the ideals of right and wrong, and, more importantly, who defines them, allow the definitions of sin to be bent and stretched in creative and cruel ways. Not long after the game's opening, you're teleported back in time to this ancient city and caught within the web of its passive aggressive personalities and bubbling politics. The magistrate of the society is the only one aware of who you are, tasking you with using an infinite time loop to figure out who will eventually break The Golden Rule and stop them before it happens. This also turns out to be the only way that you can get back to your time, motivating you to get very familiar with each of the city's varied inhabitants and decipher who might be on the verge of teasing out the apocalypse. Each loop is an opportunity to learn more about each citizen through dialogue, deciphering what their daily routines are, which other citizens they're bound to interact with, and which of their problems you can potentially solve. Eventually each day comes to an end, bringing about the fruition of The Golden Rule and forcing you to sprint towards the shrine you entered through to start the day over again.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Not only is it important to keep the console's screen protected--more on that in a second--but you will never, ever be able to get every little bit of dust off the system once it has been used for even a few minutes, and it will get stuck under the protector if you wait to put it on later. Get whichever type of screen protector you prefer, but if you are planning on taking it with you, invest in a tempered glass protector over a plastic one. It will serve it much better in case of a drop.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
