Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most highly-anticipated games around right now, and we're still learning more about it. Now, five years after saying the game is "definitely not a multiplayer shooter," developer CD Projekt Red has hinted it may have changed its mind."We are exploring multiplayer modes," the game's producer, Richard Borzymowski, told GameSpot in an interview at Gamescom. "This is all I can say at the moment."Of course, this isn't a confirmation of gun-focused multiplayer modes--or, indeed, any kind of multiplayer mode--so the earlier claim may still be true. In addition, last year saw CD Projekt Red hire Canadian studio Digital Scapes, specifically citing the company's history with "AAA multiplayer console and PC game development" as a reason for enlisting its help. Will Cyberpunk 2077 receive DLC or expansions? We also asked Borzymowski whether CD Projekt Red intends on adding more content to Cyberpunk after launch in the form of expansions, in a similar vein to The Witcher 3's add-ons Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. The producer refused to confirm CD Projekt Red's plans but offered a small hint as to what it intends to do: "We know how well received the DLCs and expansions were for The Witcher. Right now--and I'm not lying about this--we are 100% focused on the main game."He concluded: "Bearing in mind how well received The Witcher's expansions were, there will be time to think [about expansions for Cyberpunk 2077]."Cyberpunk 2077 launches for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on April 16, 2020.More on this topic:Cyberpunk 2077 Coming To Google StadiaCyberpunk 2077 Dev CD Projekt Red Enlists Multiplayer Studio To Help In Some WayCyberpunk 2077 Has Multiplayer (2013)Cyberpunk 2077 Is A "True RPG," Definitely Not A Multiplayer Shooter (2014)Info from Gamespot.com

After the successful return of Rocky Balboa in the Creed movies, Sylvester Stallone's other great action hero will be back next month. Rambo: Last Blood is the fifth--and presumably final--movie in the Rambo series and a new trailer has been released. The trailer offers a little bit more plot than the first promo, which was released in May. Former soldier and mercenary John Rambo has returned home, but finds himself forced to return to action when a young girl he knows is kidnapped by a dangerous Mexican cartel. But let's face it, the story is not the important thing here, and the trailer certainly delivers on the shooting, stabbing, and general violent mayhem. Check it out below, via Stallone's Instagram account. View this post on InstagramBRAND NEW TEASER !! I am re-posting this FULL frame! The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology."The movie is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, who is best known for the first season of True Detective and last year’s acclaimed Netflix show Maniac. Jeffrey Wright reprises his role as Felix Leiter, while Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, and Léa Seydoux, all return to the roles of M, Q, Miss MoneyPenny, and Madeleine Swan respectively. The new cast members include Remi Malick in a villainous role, plus Billy Magnussen and Ana de Armas. Waller-Bridge was reportedly paid $2 million USD to rework the existing script and contribute "sharper dialogue.". In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Waller-Bridge downplayed her contribution. "A lot has been made of me coming on board because I'm a woman, and that's wonderful. But also I can't take credit for the movie that was written. It's Cary's movie," she said. For more, check out GameSpot's guide to the biggest upcoming movies of 2019.Info from Gamespot.com

Cyberpunk 2077 might wind up with a New Game Plus mode, but CD Projekt Red is still figuring out what it might be. That's contrary to a previous report that a post-game replay mode was in the works."What I can tell you is we are looking into a suitable idea for implementing New Game Plus," producer Richard Borzymowski told GameSpot at Gamescom. If and how has yet to be seen and talked about."Borzymowski went on to explain that the most important thing about adding a New Game Plus mode to Cyberpunk is making sure it's the right implementation of the idea for the game. CD Projekt's upcoming open-world sci-fi RPG will likely have some means of encouraging you to play beyond the end of the story, Borzymowski said, but the developer hasn't decided what form it'll take.In Cyberpunk, much of what you experience depends on the character you create--their backstory and upbringing dictates some conversation choices, for instance, and the skills you develop dictate which paths you can take through missions. That means the character you make through the course of the game determines what portions of the game you see and what portions you don't."Let's go with the two most basic approaches to New Game Plus, or whatever," he said. "Complete example: either you finish the story and you're left in the open world, or you can start a new game with the character you've previously developed. With the first approach, in our case, the benefit of replaying or playing more is that there are many, many activities. I presume that most players will first finish the story rather than do everything there is because that's pretty time-consuming. The other approach basically funnels you into one of the playstyles, right? So we're looking for a way to ensure that you're able to keep your progression, but are you still able to take a different path in order to see one of those parts that was hidden behind one of those actual choices. And we will probably get to something, but it's too early to talk exactly how, because we want to make sure that it fits [Cyberpunk]. Everything we want to do, we want to fit."Reports previously suggested Cyberpunk 2077 would have a New Game Plus mode, but that it might not be ready for the game's launch in April 2020. With Gamescom 2019 in full swing, announcements are trickling out at a steady pace. Prolific anime game publisher Bandai Namco has unveiled a trailer for One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows, which shows new gameplay mechanics and characters.Alongside series regulars Saitama, Genos, and Speed-o'-Sound Sonic, S-Class heroes Terrible Tornado, Silverfang, and Atomic Samurai are joining the game's roster. These three characters bump A Hero Nobody Knows' roster to 13 playable characters. It's unclear what the final roster count will be.Saitama is known to defeat enemies with one punch, and the new trailer shows how his overbearing strength is used in-game. A Hero Nobody Knows implements some sort of Hero Arrival mechanic, where you must survive while Saitama makes his way to the battlefield. In the trailer below, Saitama is running on the left-side of the screen with quite a distance to go. Performing combos and perfect guards reduces his arrival time. Matches seem to become one-sided when he gets there, as Saitama absorbs a lot of damage and defeats everyone with one punch. One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows was announced back in June 2019. No release date was provided, but the 3D fighter is "coming soon" to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.Info from Gamespot.com

Since Pokemon Black and White on the DS, competitive Pokemon players have been able to take part in online competitions and view their rankings via the Pokemon Global Link. While the website has served as the online battling hub for all subsequent Pokemon games, The Pokemon Company has confirmed the upcoming Sword and Shield for Switch will not be utilizing it.According to a statement posted during Gamescom 2019, Sword and Shield will not support the Pokemon Global Link website. This is because most of Global Link's functionality is being folded into the games' themselves via the Battle Stadium, which will allow players to participate in regular online competitions and take part in Ranked battles."For Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield, services equivalent to the current Rating Battle and Online Competitions are planned to be supported. However, PGL will not support Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield," the statement reads. "These battles and Online Competitions can be enjoyed in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield using just the connectivity features of Nintendo Switch."Other Global Link functions, like the ability to view your ranking, will also be implemented in Pokemon Home, an upcoming cloud storage service that will allow players to store monsters from Pokemon Bank, Pokemon Go, Pokemon Let's Go, and Pokemon Sword and Shield. Pokemon Home is expected to launch for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices in early 2020.Pokemon Sword and Shield, meanwhile, release for the hybrid console on November 15. Players will need to have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription in order to make use of the aforementioned online features. The Pokemon Home service will presumably also require a subscription, although it hasn't yet been announced if this will be included as part of NSO or will be offered separately. In addition to the Global Link news, The Pokemon Company shared a new gameplay clip of Pokemon Sword and Shield. The video shows off one of the quaint towns players will visit on their adventure across the Galar region. We also recently learned about some new Pokemon Abilities and held items being introduced in the titles.Info from Gamespot.com

Viz Media has announced the third and final title that's being made in partnership with Rose City Games. Called Garden Story, the upcoming game is a pixel graphic adventure that stars a sentient grape who's also an aspiring knight. It looks so cute. The announcement of Garden Story was accompanied by the release of a new trailer that showed some of the gameplay and quirky characters. From a top-down perspective, you explore a variety of environments, such as quiet towns and dangerous-looking caves. In combat, you have a wooden pick that acts like a sword. You also have access to a backpack full of the items you collect, such as a dowsing rod. You're able to break certain items in the environment to gather resources as well, and it appears that Garden Story will have at least a few dungeon puzzles to solve too."In Garden Story, players take on the role of Concord, the newly appointed village guardian," Viz Media wrote in a press release. "There's lots to keep this helpful adventurer busy; not only do your neighbors need assistance, but a mysterious Rot has also seeped into the foundations of the once flourishing island. Fortunately, Concord won't be working at this alone. Help your friends with their struggles, and they'll help you through yours. Balance caring for the environment, exploring new regions, and fostering new friendships as you solve puzzles and help restore the Grove to glory."Viz Media has had a long history of existing on the fringes of the games industry, publishing well-received manga about popular video game series like The Legend of Zelda and Pokemon. In February 2018, Viz Media announced a partnership with Rose City Games to create three manga-styled games. The first, visual-novel-meet-puzzle-battle-game The World Next Door, released in March 2019 while the second, dungeon crawler Cat Lady, is scheduled to release later this year. Currently, Garden Story has a planned release of Spring 2020 for PC.In GameSpot's The World Next Door review, I wrote, "The cast of characters is genuinely funny at times, and getting to know them has its benefits, but the story ends before most have a chance to really grow and mature. Worse, an interesting plot point that Liza introduces into the story near the game's end is never satisfyingly resolved. The combat portion has similar shortcomings. Though the puzzle battles are frantic bouts of fast-paced fun, the most interesting enemies and bosses are introduced in the latter half of the game, leaving combat in the first two dungeons too simple. Ultimately, there's enjoyment to be had with The World Next Door, but the game takes too long to start leaning into its strengths."Info from Gamespot.com

CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 is undoubtably the game we are going to keep hearing about until its April 16, 2020 release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. 20 years ago, The Matrix debuted and was a cultural phenomenon, and after two sequels, the story of Neo, Trinity, and the war between humans and robots was all wrapped up. At least, that's what we thought, until it was announced that Matrix 4 is underway.Lana Wachowski is set to return to write and direct the film in the franchise, and Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss will reprise their roles as Neo and Trinity respectively, according to Variety. That's a bit puzzling because at the end of the third movie, The Matrix Revolutions, Neo sacrificed himself in order to save the world. Regardless, it's science fiction, so there will undoubtedly be a way to bring him back from the dead..Joining Wachowski on writing duties will be Aleksander Hemon (Love Island) and David Mitchell (Peep Show). The movie should go into production in early 2020."We could not be more excited to be re-entering the Matrix with Lana," Warner Bros. Picture Group chairman Toby Emmerich said. "Lana is a true visionary--a singular and original creative filmmaker--and we are thrilled that she is writing, directing and producing this new chapter in The Matrix universe."The first reports of a new Matrix movie began in 2017, with Ready Player One's Zak Penn writing the script. Penn said the movie would expand the Matrix universe and not reboot it. Michael B. Jordan was also in talks to star. However, it's been completely silent since then, even though there were conflicting reports that the relaunch was cancelled back in May 2019. Both Penn was not mentioned for Matrix 4. Also not mentioned was Lilly Wachowski, who wrote and directed the original Matrixs movies alongside her sister. The first Matrix movie brought in $463,517,383 worldwide, and it spawned two sequels: 2003's Matrix Reloaded--grossing $742,128,461 worldwide--and Matrix Revolutions--taking in $427,343,298 worldwide. The franchise has earned more than $1.6 billion in total.2019 marks the 20th anniversary of The Matrix, and while the first movie still holds up, the sequels are still as problematic as you remember.
