As teased, The Pokemon Company has revealed the identity of Pokemon Sword and Shied's mysterious, glitchy Pokemon. The company shared a brief trailer that revolves entirely around a new region-exclusive evolution of Farfetch'd called Sirfetch'd.As its name suggests, Sirfetch'd appears to be based on a knight, and it is exclusive to Pokemon Sword. The leek it carries around as a Farfetch'd has turned into a lance and shield, which it attacks with during battle. It also appears to have a stern demeanor, as befitting a knight; in the trailer, Sirfetch'd looks humorously unamused when its trainer tries to play with it and even smacks the trainer with its lance. You can get a look at the new Pokemon below. The Pokemon Company shared a few more details about Sirfetch'd in a press release. It appears that Farfetch'd from the Galar region are able to evolve into the Pokemon "after experiencing many battles." As we previously learned, Sirfetch'd is a pure Fighting-type and has the Steadfast Ability, which increases its speed after flinching. It is also able to learn an exclusive new move called Meteor Assault, which unleashes a powerful attack with its lance but leaves it unable to move the following turn.Farfetch'd isn't the only older Pokemon to receive a new, region-exclusive evolution in Pokemon Sword and Shield. The Galarian form of Linoone is able to evolve into a brand-new Pokemon named Obstagoon, which bears a striking resemblance to Kiss singer Gene Simmons. Weezing also has a great new Galarian form that has smokestacks that look like top hats. You can check out all the new Gen 8 Pokemon revealed so far in our gallery.Pokemon Sword and Shield launch for Nintendo Switch on November 15, just a few days after Nintendo releases a special Pokemon edition Switch Lite. Disco Elysium, a traditional CRPG with the style of a hardboiled detective drama, is coming on October 15. Developer Studio ZAUM announced it will launch on Steam and GOG, alongside a new trailer detailing the flexibility of the systems. The game, previously titled No Truce With The Furies, puts you in the gum-shoes of a detective in a '70s-style procedural. You'll have to interrogate characters, crack murders, maybe take a bribe or two, and solve crimes in an urban fantasy setting. You'll be able to upgrade your detective skills, use the tools of the trade, and talk with witnesses. The characters will have their own motivations and can be played against each other.Disco Elysium makes a point of letting you stake out your own detective persona, like the tough and grizzled veteran cop or an anti-social genius. The trailer points out that you can be a hero, a prophet, or a madman. And with so many choices to be made, you can also make plenty of mistakes and have to deal with the consequences. The story consists of one massive open-ended case to solve, along with lots of side-missions. Your thoughts themselves have an inventory of their own so that you can put them to use to resolve the mysteries. The band British Sea Power provides an original score.GameSpot highlighted it as an exciting indie prospect last year, and Alessandro Fillari said it "offers up some fun twists to the CRPG genre, which is backed up by some impeccable writing that recalls memorable moments from the classics in hardboiled detective dramas." Microsoft has announced another round of games coming to its Xbox Game Pass service to close out September. The lineup includes some surprising recent hits on Xbox One, and you can play them very soon.First on September 19, the service will add the anime mash-up fighter Jump Force. You can fight alongside characters from Dragon Ball, Naruto, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and more. That date will also bring Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, the Metroidvania revival from famed Castlevania producer Koji Igarashi. Then on September 26, Game Pass subscribers will gain access to the tactics game Bad North, the muddy racer Dirt Rally 2.0, and the open-world creation game Lego Worlds. This update is uncharacteristically fully devoted to Game Pass on console. Most Game Pass announcements recently have detailed some games available for Xbox One, others for PC, and some that will appear on both. The service comes in two separate tiers, with a combined "Ultimate" subscription that includes both along with Xbox Live Gold. The previous update, covering the first half of September, announced PC games including Bad North. The announcement also had a reminder that Microsoft's latest big-budget first-party game, Gears 5, is available to play through Game Pass. That game set first-party opening week records for the company, which included Game Pass players in the count.Xbox One Game Pass - SeptemberSeptember 19:Jump ForceBloodstained: Ritual of the NightSeptember 26:Bad NorthDirt Rally 2.0Lego WorldsInfo from Gamespot.com

It's time for a month of haunts and spooky things to watch. October is right around the corner, and we've already seen what Amazon Prime Video has planned, and now, Netflix has revealed what's coming to its service in the upcoming month. It's 31 days of plenty of new Netflix Originals, and sadly, not a lot of horror. However, there are two huge originals coming you'll want to watch. On October 11, El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie arrives. The Netflix original movie takes place after the series finale of AMC's Breaking Bad, where Jesse Pinkman is on the run from the police. Series creator Vince Gilligan returns to write and direct this upcoming movie, and while there hasn't been a lot of information released about the show, Netflix has released an announcement teaser, which you can see below. The other series to look out for is Season 3 of Big Mouth. The adult animated series follows middle schoolers going through puberty, and the show comically explores growing up, relationships, sex, and everything in between. It is easily one of the funniest series on Netflix and is worth checking out. A new, very NSFW trailer was released, and one of the highlights is the cast of Queer Eye coming to the aid of Coach Steve. There are plenty of movies and TV series leaving Netflix in October as well, so it's your last chance to check them out. On October 1, the classic '80s flick Gremlins will be removed, so you may want to watch it one more time just to see a bunch of Mogwai's eat fried chicken after midnight. However, there is more Gremlins on the way coming to HBO Max, but no release date has been revealed. Empire Records, Cloverfield, and Season 1 of Impractical Jokers all leave Netflix on October 1 as well.Below, you'll everything coming and going from Netflix in October, and make sure to check out what's still landing on the service for the rest of September.New to Netflix in OctoberOctober 2Living UndocumentedReady to Mingle (Solteras)Rotten: Season 2October 3Seis ManosOctober 4Big Mouth: Season 3Creeped Out: Season 2In the Tall GrassPeaky Blinders: Season 5Raising DionSuper Monsters: Season 3Super Monsters: Vida's First HalloweenOctober 5Legend Quest: Masters of MythOctober 7Match! It feels like every day, Bungie is releasing new details about what players will be doing over the next few months after the release of Destiny 2's Shadowkeep expansion. A new ViDoc provided details about Shadowkeep and Year Three this week, and now we know a little more about what to expect from the first live content drop that starts at Shadowkeep's launch, the Season of the Undying. We know from Bungie's updates that in Shadowkeep, players will take on the Hive and deal with Nightmares, a new form of enemy that represent the trauma Guardians have faced on the moon. Whatever the Hive is up to for that first week after Shadowkeep's launch is going to get a response from the other forces in the solar system, though. The Season of the Undying kicks off on October 5 with the start of the new Vex Offensive activity, in which the time-traveling robots start invading the moon.So not only will you be facing whatever new threat the Hive poses, but at roughly the same time, the Vex will make a big push that you'll have deal with, as well. Here's the description of what's happening in the Season of the Undying from Bungie's rundown:"As Guardians delve into the Black Garden, portals open allowing timeless Vex war machines to strike back with their own counter-offensive on the Moon. They won’t stop until the moon becomes another one of their strongholds. Find a way to end the invasion." Destiny 2 Recent News Destiny 2 Patch Notes: New Update May Have Just Given You More Of The Game For Free Destiny 2: All Shadowkeep Weapons And Armor In Bungie's Latest ViDoc Destiny 2: Shadowkeep Pre-Order Guide: Exotics, Deluxe Edition, And More Destiny 2: Here's A Look At Shadowkeep's New Loot-Crafting System According to Bungie's details, you'll work with Ikora Rey to find the source of the invasion (which seems likely to be the Black Garden from Destiny 1 and its new raid, Garden of Salvation). You'll participate in Vex Offensive, which is a six-player matchmade activity, and chase down new weapons specific to it. Bungie is continuing to allow players to chase exactly the loot they want, it seems like--the rundown says you'll pick what specific weapon or armor you're hoping to earn in Vex Offensive and unlock it by completing a Pursuit related to it.While some pieces of content are free to all Destiny 2 players, as detailed on Bungie's content calendar, you'll need to pay to access Vex Offensive. The good news is, the Season of the Undying is included in the price of Shadowkeep. For future seasons, you'll need to buy a Season Pass (similar to what's seen in Fortnite or Apex Legends) in order to access seasonal activities.Info from Gamespot.com

The release of Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, the game's next DLC expansion, is fast approaching, and if you're considering a pre-order, so you're ready for all of the new content, then good news: we've put together this little guide for everything you need to know before making a decision.First thing you need to know is Destiny 2 is going free-to-play with the release of Shadowkeep on October 1. This new version of Destiny 2 is called New Light and includes everything but the annual pass and Forsaken expansion. Thankfully, you don't have to own Forsaken to access any content from Shadowkeep. A figure who appears to be Cryto--long believed to be the eleventh playable character coming to Apex Legends, thanks to datamining and outright leaks--has been spotted in Respawn's battle royale. If you travel to Singh Labs, added to King's Canyon during the limited-time Voidwalker event, you can spot the character believed to be Crypto in a secret room.Crypto disappears once you spot him, so if you want to see him, your squad will have to reach the Singh Labs and enter the secret room ahead of other players. Upon entering the labs, head towards some suspiciously propped open doors, noticed by Reddit user FrozenFroh, and break them down. You can also squeeze by them if you prefer. Inside you'll see Crypto finishing up a download on one of the labs' computers. Upon noticing you, he'll panic, yank out his hard drive, and run out with his drone in tow.The mysterious hacker has had a presence in Apex Legends for a long time, first teased back in June after Octane's introduction and before Wattson was even on most player's radar. FrozenFroh found that teaser too--Crypto's laptop secretly hidden on the King's Canyon map. Crypto would then be alluded to again during the start of Apex Legends Season 2, when the cinematic trailer for the season showcased the hacker as the one responsible for destroying the tower that kept the flyers and leviathans at bay.As Season 2 has wound down, Crypto's presence in King's Canyon has grown more noticeable. In the Wraith-focused cinematic short that released alongside the start of the Voidwalker event, you can see the interdimensional skirmisher insert a flash drive into a Singh Labs' computer, which injects hacking software that's marked with Crypto's trademark callsign.King's Canyon has experienced strange glitches too, most likely the result of the person who's attempting to decrypt...the King's Canyon computers? Maybe? It hasn't been very clear. All we know is that some of the screens in King's Canyon have glitched out and begun showing a progress bar for the decryption and the bar has been steadily filling up more each time throughout the Voidwalker event, finally completely filling this past weekend--which coincides with Crypto's appearance on the map. The announcer's voice has also been occasionally garbled in the game--the glitch popped up whenever one of Crypto's decryption attempts failed to fully complete. Crypto wants something, but what he wants remains unclear. His recent appearance on the map presents the most clues, hinting that Crypto's hacks have not been malicious against the Legends and he is actually trying to achieve something. The computer Crypto is pulling data from seems to control the massive void portal connected to the labs. Thanks to the Wraith cinematic short, it's now confirmed that the void portals can connect to other dimensions and someone can travel to them with the right harness. In Wraith's case, she uses the gauntlet on her forearm and the labs seem to be studying how to emulate this technology so others can do the same. Before he shuts down what he's working on, you can see Crypto is trying to redirect the void portal to connect to a place called World's Edge. World's Edge isn't a reference to anything Titanfall-related so it's difficult to accurately guess what it could be, or if it even matters for Crypto's official introduction--which is expected to coincide with the addition of a new weapon and map change with the launch of Season 3. Given that it seems to be a new location, however, it could be possible that World's Edge is in reference to the Season 3 map change or a hint that we're getting a brand-new, second map for Apex Legends. Only time will tell.Apex Legends is available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.Info from Gamespot.com

Activision is giving players another chance to try out Call of Duty: Modern Warfare ahead of its release. The game's second open beta session kicks off tomorrow those who've pre-ordered the game on Xbox One and PC (as well as all player on PS4). If you fall in that category, you can now pre-load the beta client on your respective platform, and if you're planning on jumping in on PC, Activision has revealed what kind of rig you'll need to run the test.On its official site, the publisher shared a blog post detailing the minimum and recommended specs your PC will need for the Modern Warfare beta. In both cases, you'll need to have a DirectX 12-compatible system, a DirectX-compatible sound card, and at least 45 GB of space on your hard drive. You can take a look at the full minimum and recommended specs below:Minimum SpecsRequires DirectX 12 compatible systemOS: Windows 7 64-Bit (SP1) or Windows 10 64-Bit (1709 or later)CPU: Intel Core i5 2500k or AMD equivalentVideo: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 2GB / GTX 1650 4GB or AMD Radeon HD 7950RAM: 8GB RAMHDD: 45GB HD spaceNetwork: Broadband Internet connectionSound Card: DirectX CompatibleRecommended SpecsRequires DirectX 12 compatible systemOS: Windows 10 64 Bit (latest Service Pack)CPU: Intel Core i7 4770k or AMD equivalentVideo: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 4GB / GTX 1660 6GB or AMD Radeon R9 390 / AMD RX 580RAM: 16GB RAMHDD: 45GB HD spaceNetwork: Broadband Internet connectionSound Card: DirectX CompatibleThe first Modern Warfare open beta took place last week on PS4 from September 12-15. This week, Activision is expanding the test to include Xbox One and PC players as well. If you pre-ordered any edition of the game on those platforms, you'll get early access to the beta from September 19-20. The test will then open up to all players on PS4, Xbox One, and PC from September 21-23.Among other things, this week's beta test will give players their first chance to sample cross-play (although you can opt out of that if you so choose). The beta will also feature Ground War, a massive team-based multiplayer mode that can support 100 players. You can read more about the upcoming test in our Modern Warfare beta roundup.Call of Duty: Modern Warfare launches on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 25. Unlike previous games in the series, Activision says that "most" of Modern Warfare's DLC will launch simultaneously on all platforms rather than arriving first on PS4, but the publisher teased that PS4 players will "have an exciting day one advantage." It's still unclear what the publisher means by that, but in the meantime, you can find out where to secure your own copy of the game in our Modern Warfare pre-order guide.
