The first trailer for the new I Know What You Did Last Summer series has been released. The reboot of the hit '90s slasher movie hits Amazon Prime Video on October 15.The trailer is short but sets up the show's basic plot. A group of teenagers are attending a wild, lavish graduation party that is filled with the sort of things you'd expect--sex, drugs, booze, and rivalries. Later that night there is a fatal accident on the highway, and the kids cover up their crime. But of course, someone knows about it and a year later, sinister text messages start arriving. The trailer has a modern, hand-held feel more reminiscent of shows like Euphoria than the glossy vibes of the original movie, and with any luck, it'll deliver the chills and gore as well as the teen angst. Check it out below:The first four episodes of I Know What You Did Last Summer hit Prime Video on October 15, with subsequent episodes releasing weekly. It will run until November 12. The show stars Madison Iseman (Annabelle Comes Home), Bill Heck (The Ballad of Buster Scruggs), Brianne Tju (47 Meters Down: Uncaged), Ashley Moore (Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping), Fiona Rene (Underwater), and Brooke Bloom (Homecoming). The first episode is written by Shay Hatton (Army of the Dead), and James Wan is one of the producers.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Streaming platform Twitch's most-viewed games are usually easy to predict. Apex Legends, Fortnite, and Valorant regularly top the charts, but for a brief time, the newly-released Lawn Mowing Simulator rose to the top of the streaming charts. Lawn Mowing Simulator even surpassed Call of Duty: Warzone with its gameplay, which delivers exactly what it promises on the box. While developer Skyhook's yardwork simulator has since been eclipsed on Twitch by Warzone, the game has a dedicated following and fans of what it has to offer. So how did Lawn Mowing Simulator earn more viewers than Warzone for a brief moment in time? By being passionate and authentic about its subject matter, according to Skyhook."Lawn Mower Simulator has been a labor of neatly-trimmed-love from day one," the developer explained in a blog post. "Every single thing we've crafted--from the gloriously green maps to the specifications of the equipment people like Atlas use in everyday life--has been done with care. We take pride in every detail, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant to some, and want our players to experience the authentic --and sometimes literal--highs and lows of lawn mowing."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

After helping video games to catch fire in the West with the Nintendo Entertainment System, Nintendo was ready to follow up with a major upgrade: the SNES. While it led to some consternation among parents who didn't yet understand hardware iteration, the Super Nintendo was a major improvement in every way, from graphical fidelity to sound quality. And as one of the leading console manufacturers of the time, Nintendo enjoyed a golden era of instant classics released on the system. The Super NES library is so massive and high-quality that it was hard to even narrow down a list like this one. But with the insights of our GameSpot editors and the benefit of hindsight, here are some of the absolute best SNES games, listed in alphabetical order. A number of the games listed below are available to play on Nintendo Switch with a Switch Online subscription. Sign up for Nintendo Switch Online Get 1 year for $20 or a family plan for $35. See Switch Online at Amazon ActRaiserActRaiserOne of the earliest third-party games for Nintendo's 16-bit hardware was also one of the most unique blends of genres on the platform, and has never quite been replicated since--even in its own sequel. ActRaiser put you into the winged boots of a benevolent god, looking to protect humanity from a demonic scourge and allow it to thrive. The unique hook bifurcated it into two disparate types of gameplay: an action game where you would defeat loads of demonic creatures in combat, and then, a sim game where you would oversee and guide the development of your fledgling civilization. The two would often intersect--early on, a boy goes missing in the sim portion which leads you to a demon nest to clear in the action portion. And while the story was sparse, it used the perspective of a god to show humankind's stumbles with a tinge of theological depth. The criss-crossing nature of these two elements made for an unforgettable experience.Chrono TriggerChrono TriggerThe Super NES was known for some all-time great RPGs, and Chrono Trigger is a frontrunner even among that prestigious company. The time-traversing RPG starred a plucky band of kids who discover that their world is facing an impending apocalypse at the hands of an ancient beast. As they journey through time they discover adventurers from a wide array of eras--a brash cave woman, a noble cursed knight, a sweet-natured robot--who all come together to save the future. Remembered for its multiple endings, indelible characters, and an incredible score, Chrono Trigger is a can't-miss.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Last week saw the relaunch of the Trials of Osiris in Destiny 2's Season of the Lost, which has been drastically improved by Bungie's recent changes to how it works. For years, even with some recent tweaks to make it more rewarding, Trials was an exclusionary mode that drove away lower-skill players because it was so dominated by higher-skill ones. If you wanted to play some sweaty multiplayer matches and get stomped for your trouble, you jumped into Trials--but that's not the case anymore.Still, the first weekend of the Trials of Osiris identified one glaring weakness in the mode that's antithetical to what it's supposed to be. Loathe as I am to suggest a tweak to Trials that will make it more difficult for average players like me to "go Flawless" and reach one of Destiny 2's highest peaks, it's something that makes Trials unfair. That weakness is the ability to see that the people who are matching into your game aren't on a team, but rather, queuing in solo, and Bungie needs to change it.Since its inception back in Destiny 1, Trials was a top-tier competitive multiplayer event that was, essentially, the toughest PvP challenge you could take on. Up until now, you could only play the mode if you had a custom-made team that included two other people. The goal in Trials is to win seven matches of Destiny's Elimination mode--where you only get one life and your teammates have to revive you to keep you in the fight--without losing. Doing so is considered a "Flawless" run and earns you special guns and mods you can't get anywhere else in the game, to say nothing of the bragging rights that come with it. There's even a special social space, the Lighthouse, only available to Trials winners.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Players can now venture into Serpentshrine Cavern to confront Lady Vashj or ascend to The Eye of Tempest Keep to defeat Kael'thas Sunstrider in World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic's first content update, Overlords of Outland. While the update, which goes live today, makes it so the new raids are technically available, a lengthy attunement process is required to step into each instance. Players will need to have completed multiple other raids, lengthy quest chains, and heroic dungeons in order to actually get the ability to participate in Burning Crusade Classic's new content. The update also marks the start of a new Arena season, complete with new gear to earn, as well as introduces two new factions to earn reputation with in exchange for rewards.Outside of new content, the update adds heavily anticipated features like guild banks. Prior to this point, guild leaders would often make multiple level one characters and use their bag space and bank storage to hold the guild's various crafting materials and supplies. That process became cumbersome quickly, with those operating the guild banks needing to log out of their main character, log in with a bank character (or several), and coordinate materials between them all. Guild banks simplify this process greatly, letting members deposit and withdraw items with ease.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Vintage video games aren't hard to come by these days, but finding a game in mint and sealed condition? Now that's a rarity. As spotted by Nintendo Life, German retailer Galeria Kaufhof happens to have stumbled on a box of forgotten SNES games and has even put a few of them up for sale.If you've been looking to add Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals--which was known simply as Lufia in Europe--to your collection, you can grab the game for a modest $95 for a copy that still has that factory-fresh smell sealed inside of it.The catch here is that you can only reserve a copy on Galeria Kaufhof's website, as you'll need to go pick it up yourself in person. This version also includes a strategy guide to go along with its manual, adding to its value.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

At one point, it was believed that The Forever Purge would be the final installment in the dystopian horror franchise. That's no longer the case, though. Not only is a sixth Purge movie evidently in the works, but Frank Grillo--who starred in The Purge: Anarchy and The Purge: Election Year--will return to star.At least, that's what Grillo says. In an interview with The Playlist, the actor who also appeared in Captain America: Civil War, said another Purge movie is on the way and it centers on his character, Leo Barnes."Committed! We committed to doing that--Purge 6 with [James DeMonaco] directing," he said. "It's based on the Leo Barnes character. I'm excited. He's going to send me the script. He just finished it. So, yeah, I'm really psyched about that. I love doing the Purge movies."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Seemingly tired of porting Skyrim to gaming consoles, like any other tired developer, Todd Howard is taking the wired approach by potentially bringing the game to the pillowcases, baby blankets, and towels in your home. A series of new trademark applications filed by Bethesda parent company ZeniMax Media shows that the company is prepared to stamp any textile it can with "Skyrim," although we'll have to wait and see if any actually hit the market. The trademark applications, filed on September 6, include the aforementioned household products as well as some out-there ones. Nothing screams "Skyrim fan" like Skyrim-themed curtains, blankets, banners, and flags. While trademark applications filed for products don't always mean they'll end up being produced, if everything listed ends up on store shelves Skyrim fans will be able to effectively cover the inside of their home in the game's name. It's also worth noting that these are trademark applications that haven't been accepted yet.It shouldn't be too surprising that ZeniMax is filing more trademarks for Skyrim merchandise almost 10 years after the game originally launched. Another re-release of Skyrim, the game's Anniversary Edition, is coming out on November 11, Skyrim's 10th birthday.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Today, developer Raven Software detailed a hardcore version of battle royale coming to Call of Duty: Warzone. Dubbed Iron Trials, the mode won't provide loadout drop freebies and will be much more challenging than the standard mode. Players can expect a lot of familiarities in the upcoming Iron Trials '84 mode. It's still a game of being the last team standing, with circle collapses, looting, and a chance to fight for a second chance in the Gulag. However, this new mode is set to tweak Warzone's current formula for something meant to be much more grueling. The match duration and circle collapse are changing in Verdansk. Round timers will be decreased by 12%, while the speed of the circle collapse has been increased by 12%. These changes will ramp up the pace of matches. However, transportation will be much more scarce in these faster matches, as Raven revealed that only ATVs and dirt bikes will be available.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The big Nvidia games leak included Halo 5: Guardians for PC, but developer 343 Industries has now confirmed it has no plans to launch the 2015 game on PC.Community director Brian Jarrard said on Twitter (via VGC) that Halo 5 might have shown up in the leak because Halo 5's Forge mode is available on PC. But the full game is not headed to PC. "Maybe this was for H5: Forge but I can confirm there are no plans to bring H5 to PC," Jarrard said. It's also worth noting that Nvidia itself acknowledged that the list was made up of "speculative" titles and games that had already released.Jarrard went on to say that 343 understands there is "some demand" among the Halo community to bring Halo 5 to PC. However, as the studio has said before, this is "not in the cards" because 343 is "fully focused" on launching Halo Infinite in December and the ongoing support for Halo: The Master Chief Collection. That being said, Jarrard said the door is not shut completely on Halo 5 coming to PC one day.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
