Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is one of the most popular games of the year, which will make it one of the go-to gifts of the holiday season. Black Friday deals are already starting to pop up at major retailers everywhere (Cyber Monday too) and we've seen some big discounts on Infinity Ward's latest in the long-running first-person shooter series. We've rounded up the best Black Friday deals we've seen so far for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and will update this list if we see any other deals pop up over the course of the holiday season. So far, the best deal for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare comes from Walmart and GameStop, which have the game on sale for only $38--a great price for such a new CoD game, given that games in the series often maintain their MSRP for a long time. Walmart's deal is live now as part of its early Black Friday deals. You also get three hours of double XP when buying Modern Warfare at Walmart. GameStop's matching price won't be available until Thanksgiving Day.Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - $38 at WalmartCall of Duty: Modern Warfare | $38 ($60) See at Walmart (PS4) See at Walmart (Xbox One) Console bundlesPS4 Pro bundle with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - $300PS4 Pro + Call of Duty: Modern Warfare | $300 ($400)This PS4 Pro bundle from Walmart includes both the console and a copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The Black Friday bundle costs $300 and is available now as part of Walmart's early access Black Friday sale. See at Walmart Modern Warfare received a score of 7/10 in our Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare review. GameSpot's Kallie Plagge was disappointed by its lackluster Spec Ops mode but still enjoyed Modern Warfare's exciting campaign and new multiplayer modes, including the 2v2 Gunfight mode."The pitfalls of Spec Ops don't detract from what Modern Warfare does well, though," she wrote. "Realism mode is an excellent addition to the slate, and although not all the new multiplayer modes are great, Gunfight and the Night Vision playlist are refreshing standouts. And while the campaign ends up playing it safe in the end, it's still a memorable one, and it lays a strong foundation for where the Modern Warfare series could go from here."Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Black Friday dealsPS4$38 -- Walmart$38 -- GameStop$40 -- Best Buy$45 -- TargetXbox One$38 -- Walmart$38 -- GameStop$40 -- Best Buy$45 -- TargetPC$38 -- GameStopSave big with even more awesome game deals on everything from the Switch Lite to God of War with our Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals roundups below. Terminator: Dark Fate has struggled at the box office despite some strong reviews, and has now been declared a flop. The film has made $248,801,323 internationally, well below the $440,603,537 earned by the previous entry in the series, Terminator Genisys, despite receiving much stronger critical acclaim. In the wake of the film's commercial failure, director Tim Miller (who previously directed the first Deadpool) has opened up about the film in an unusually candid interview with KCRW, explaining why he's still "very proud" of the movie despite its performance. He also discusses the struggles he had with James Cameron, who produced the film after directing The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day.Miller says that he's happy with the film he made. "They could always be better; you watch it and you see the things you wish you'd done, or the battles you wish you'd fought harder, but I'm proud of the movie, and I love the experience of making it," he says. He notes that it's hard to know in advance if a movie will do well or not sometimes, saying that the movie was tracking well right up until release.Talking about the reviews the film received, he says that "the things that they seem to hate the most about the movie are things that I can't control," noting that the feelings critics have for previous films loomed large. He also says that he acknowledges that his film is not as good as the first two Terminator films, both directed by James Cameron. "I'm not here saying I'm better than Jim Cameron. Smart of me, right?" Miller says that he requested bringing Cameron back to the series because his blessing would mean a lot to fans, explaining that the two were already on good terms--Cameron was, in fact, involved in helping Miller get Deadpool made.Miller says that Cameron and he share a lot of interests, but admits that he had a hard time taking his input, knowing that Cameron and other producer David Ellison would have final cut of the film. "There was always this assumption that we'd work through everything, if we disagree, we'd work it out," Miller says. Cameron did some script edits for the film, writing a few scenes that Miller describes as "great," and was in New Zealand working on the Avatar sequels during filming. Miller says that it was a tough shoot, with an ever-evolving script. He also admits that the interviewer is "probably right" when she says that it was an issue that none of the credited writers were women, despite the film having three female leads. The edit, Miller says, is where he and Cameron clashed. "Me and Jim had a disagreement over the director's cut and how it happens. In his mind, the director's cut is the best version of everything you shot. In my mind, it's the best movie I can make from what I shot....so I did my director's cut, and the lights go up, and there was a lot of stuff I'd cut that Jim thought was important." He admits that the changes made might matter less to audiences they they do to him, though. "I feel like, if you saw the movie, and I told you the stuff that I was upset about, you'd go 'get over it,' or 'why is that so important'...I hate to lose any battle, but I never give up."Asked for a specific example, Miller notes that he presented the idea of flipping the script and making it so that "the humans are losing, and that's why someone has to go back" in Dark Fate. Cameron reportedly asked "what's dramatic about the humans losing," and the two argued back and forth about it. This stands out as a big argument that Miller lost, he says, and that the protagonist, Dani, ultimately wasn't portrayed in a way he was happy with. "It's his franchise, so I have to bow down to him," he says of Cameron.Asked if they were "still friends," Miller said that Cameron had recently asked him to catch up for a beer when he's next in LA. Asked if he would work with the acclaimed director again, Miller responded "no, but it has nothing to do with whatever trauma I have from the experience. I just don't want to be in a situation again where I don't have the control to do what I think is right." He admits that he feels "horrible" about the movie losing money, and that he feels so guilty that he "bought dinner" for Ellison, who is a billionaire, last time they caught up--but also that they're planning on working together again.During the interview, Miller also touches on the fact that he did not direct Deadpool 2, which happened because it was clear that "Ryan Reynolds wanted to be in control of the franchise," which clashes with how he directs. "I don't mind having a debate, but if I can't win, I don't want to play."Terminator: Dark Fate is still in cinemas.Info from Gamespot.com

Borderlands 3 continues the Borderlands tradition of having a lot of different guns for you to collect, and more have been added to the game since its release. In the latest update, which added the Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite raid, a new burst rifle was also quietly slipped into the game. This new gun, Good Juju, will have extra meaning for players who have put a lot of time into Destiny 2--it's a direct homage to the Legendary Bad Juju.Users on the Destiny Reddit noted the distinct similarities between the two guns, from their designs (both feature organic elements around the barrel) to their perks, with both guns automatically refilling your magazine whenever they land a killshot. One fan has found a reliable way of farming the gun, but it involves taking down the Rampager in the Forgotten Basilico on Promethea, with the difficulty turned all the way up to Mayhem 4.It's not quite as complicated as Bad Juju was to unlock, but the Good Juju is not a guaranteed drop, so Destiny fans looking to handle a re-imagining of one of the game's best guns might have to grind for it. Like the Bad Juju, its Borderland equivalent "kinda, sorta wants to end all existence," according to the description the game offers.Borderlands 3 has received a few updates throughout November, and recently increased the size of its bank. If you haven't picked it up yet, check out our guide for Borderlands 3 Black Friday deals.Info from Gamespot.com

Marvel's Avengers has had a rocky road since its initial reveal, in large part because fans of the comics and movies were not happy with how the characters looked when they were first shown off. Players took issue with the character models and the costume designs, and the team at developer Crystal Dynamics took note.In a new interview with Gamesradar+, creative director Shaun Escayg has spoken about the challenge of showing off these character designs after the Marvel Cinematic Universe has established the current Marvel aesthetic so fully for most fans. "I mean, we knew we had that challenge, right?," Escayg says. "We're going up against a 10-year history of movies. And you know, people forget really quickly, but when the first movie came out, they had the same problem. People were upset with the way these heroes looked. So we knew going in that we would always have that struggle." But he says that the focus was more on their "original storyline," and making sure that they "stay true to that DNA of the characters in the comics."Studio head Scot Amos has previously talked to us about how the costumes have changed since the game's initial reveal. The designs were noticeably different a few months after we first saw them, with designs that are a bit closer to what we've seen in the films. However, the main character of the game, Ms Marvel, has not made her way to the cinematic universe yet. That's set to change when her Disney+ show launches next year. There are some other interesting facts brought up across the interview. Escayg says that the appearance of next-gen consoles in 2020 was not of particular concern to how this game was made, and makes it clear that the game will not cross over with Insomniac's Spider-Man, although there's the possibility of bigger collaborations in the future. "Any collaboration with great studios excites everyone at Crystal [Dynamics]. How do we make this bigger? How do we make this much more engaging for the fans and continue to do so?"Marvel's Avengers will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on May 15, 2020.Info from Gamespot.com

Zach Snyder's Watchmen, which released in 2009, was not the first planned adaptation of Alan Moore's hit graphic novel--the first plans for a Watchmen movie trace back to the early 90s, with several other attempts happening between then and the eventual film release. David Hayter, who received a screenplay credit on Snyder's film, originally had plans to direct a version of it. Today, test footage he shot in 2003 has emerged, digitalised from VHS. The scene, from early in the story, depicts the first time we see Nite Owl (played by Iain Glen here) and Rorschach (Ray Stevenson) interact in the story. The score was arranged by Joe Kraemer.Hayter, who also wrote the screenplay for 2000's X-Men, is best known to many as the voice of Solid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid series up until Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, when he was replaced by Kiefer Sutherland. This is the "final, color corrected" footage; Hayter tweeted it out after an earlier version, which was further from the book, was released. Rorschach's mask does not shift in this scene, but test footage is generally not heavy on effects. Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2019 are just a few days away, but if you're hoping to get your holiday shopping done now-ish, you can find tons of great deals online already. Still, some of the best deals won't go live until Thanksgiving and are exclusive to physical stores, so it helps to know what to look for and when. You can't just assume you'll be early by heading to stores after finishing Thanksgiving dinner to pick up a Switch Lite, PS4, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, or whatever other deal has caught your eye. Thankfully, we know what every major retailer will have on sale and when, and we've compiled a complete schedule for your Black Friday shopping run. Many retailers have started offering deals already in early access sales. Look for the bulk of Black Friday deals to go live on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving or Thanksgiving Day; however, some deals won't go live until Black Friday itself. Quite a few stores will open Thanksgiving evening, shut their doors later that night, and then re-open on Black Friday proper. However, you'll definitely be waiting until Friday to do in-store shopping if you live in Rhode Island, Maine, or Massachusetts, where opening on Thanksgiving is illegal. Of course, you can always head online if heading to a store isn't an option. Please note that some stores haven't released the exact time their deals will be live, only the date. We've included the information available below and will continue to update this story as more retailers announce their store hours and start times. Unfortunately, Steam doesn't release information about its sales ahead of time, and that likely won't change for Black Friday 2019. That said, we have a pretty good idea when Steam's Black Friday sale will start. According to a leak a few months ago, Steam's Autumn sale will go live on November 26 and run until December 3. This is a bit later than in previous years, but considering Black Friday is also happening later this year, the November 26 start date is believable. It's worth noting the leak also accurately predicted the dates for Steam's Halloween sale last month.November 26-December 3: Steam's Autumn SaleNeweggOnline store Newegg is another great source for tech and gaming deals year-round, and the website has been gearing up for Black Friday all month long.
