Actor-comedian Adam Sandler and his production company, Happy Madison Productions, will make four more Netflix films part of an extended deal with the streaming giant, the company announced on Friday.According to Netflix, subscribers watched two billion hours of Sandler, who partnered with the streaming platform back in 2014. The production deal was extended in 2017 and, in that timeframe, he has made six movies for Netflix. These include The Ridiculous 6, The Do-Over, Sandy Wexler, The Week Of, Murder Mystery, and 100% Fresh. The last two were especially successful for both parties, with Murder Mystery topping Netflix's most-popular releases of 2019 and 100% Fresh scoring Sandler an Emmy nomination.Ya'll watched 2 billion — yes *billion* — hours of Sandler on Netflix. Now the Sandman is making four more movies at Netflix. — Netflix Film (@NetflixFilm) January 31, 2020"Whether you know him as Sandman, the Water Boy, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Nick Spitz, or simply Adam, one thing is clear: our members can't get enough of him," Netflix's chief content officer Ted Sarandos said. "They love his stories and his humor, as we saw with 'Murder Mystery.' So I could not be more excited to extend our partnership with Adam and the Happy Madison team and deliver more laughs around the world."Netflix has not provided any details about these four upcoming Sandler films, including release dates. However, reports are circulating that Sandler will write, produce, and lend his voice to an animated feature for Netflix. Sandler's next Netflix project is the family comedy Hubie Halloween, which co-stars Julie Bowen, Kenan Thompson, Kevin James, Maya Rudolph, Rob Schneider, Steve Buscemi, and more. It's expected to arrive on Netflix later this year and features Sandler as a producer of the film and writer of the screenplay.Adam Sandler's last big motion-picture film, the crime thriller Uncut Gems, has received near-universal acclaim and a slew of accolades, including awards for Best Actor and Best Original Screenplay from the National Board of Review. We awarded the film an 8/10 in our Uncut Gems review, saying, "Uncut Gems will get your heart pumping from 0 to 80 in seconds, and it will be hard to forget such an achievement." Despite Sandler's excellent performance in the film, he was not nominated for an Oscar, so prepare for a purposefully awful movie from the actor-comedian sometime in the near future. Platinum Games is potentially teasing something to do with The Wonderful 101 again. Fans have been clamouring for a sequel or Switch port of the 2013 Wii U exclusive for a while now, and they just might get their wish soon enough. In a recent tweet, the studio posted a picture of game director Hideki Kamiya sitting at his desk. It's an innocuous enough photo, but if you look closely at his monitor you'll see the time displayed is 1:01. This, inevitably, is enough to get fans buzzing. Factor in the Switch sitting on his desk and the rumours of a port have once-again been sent into overdrive.Scenes from the PG office! Who's that photobombing Hideki Kamiya? pic.twitter.com/D70oalUTKo — PlatinumGames Inc. (@platinumgames) January 31, 2020This isn't the first time Platinum has teased a Wonderful 101 Switch port, of course. Back in 2017, the company tweeted a picture of the game's heroes with Joy-Cons in hand. In more concrete news, Kamiya and head producer Atsushi Inaba said in 2018 that Platinum was negotiating with Nintendo for a possible Switch release. Inaba has previously expressed a desire to bring The Wonderful 101 to Switch, too, joking in an interview with Famitsu that the game was only played by 13 people worldwide on Wii U.It's not surprising that Platinum would want to give the action game a second chance to find an audience. The Wonderful 101 scored 8/10 in GameSpot's review, with Martin Gaston saying, "This is an ambitious, funny, and inventive game that's keen to impress but slightly scrappy in its presentation, packed with ideas but is slightly confused about how to express all its abundant creativity. This might not be the Wii U's killer app, but it's a much-needed shot in the arm."Here's hoping we hear something official soon instead of more teasing.Info from Gamespot.com

Fast & Furious 9 doesn't hit theaters until May 22, but you can already purchase tickets at Fandango and Atom Tickets. The first trailer from the upcoming action film released today during The Road to F9 concert.Though most people will probably refer to it as Fast & Furious 9, the film is technically called F9: The Fast Saga. It's the ninth mainline entry in the wildly popular action franchise and comes on the heels of Hobbs & Shaw, the first Fast & Furious spin-off that released last summer.WWE Superstar John Cena will join longtime cast members Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, and Nathalie Emmanuel. Helen Mirren is back as Magdalene Shaw, and Charlize Theron returns as cyberterrorist Cipher, the main antagonist from The Fate of the Furious. And in a surprising twist, Sung Kang will return as Han, who last appeared in Fast & Furious 6. Most believed Han died in Fast 6, so it'll be interesting to see how that's handled in F9.Notably missing from the cast is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Lucas Hobbs. Johnson and Diesel reportedly feuded on the set of The Fate of the Furious, and it's unclear at this time if Johnson will return to the mainline series in future films. When filming wrapped last fall, director Justin Lin said Fast & Furious 9 is "by far the most ambitious film of the series." The Crown is one of Netflix's highest profile shows, but given the subject matter--the life of Queen Elizabeth II and the Royal Family over the decades--it was always going to have a finite lifespan. It has now been confirmed that Season 5 will be the final one.The news was confirmed by Netflix and The Crown creator Peter Morgan. While it's not unexpected that the show has a confirmed end date, it is surprising that it's finishing after five seasons. Morgan had previously stated that it would run for six seasons, but has now said he changed his mind once work began on Season 5."Now that we have begun work on the stories for S5 it has become clear to me that this is the perfect time and place to stop," he said. "I'm grateful to Netflix and Sony for supporting me in this decision."In addition, Imelda Staunton (Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Paddington 2) has been announced in the role of Elizabeth II for Season 5. She is the third actress to take on role, following Claire Foy in the first two seasons and Olivia Colman in last year's Season 3 and the upcoming Season 4, which is expected to hit Netflix later this year. As an actor it was a joy to see how both Claire Foy and Olivia Colman brought something special and unique to Peter Morgan's scripts. I am genuinely honoured to be joining such an exceptional creative team and to be taking The Crown to its conclusion."The Crown was one of the shows that Netflix highlighted the viewing figures of in recent weeks. The company revealed that 73 million households have watched the show since it began. If you've watched every episode of The Witcher Netflix series and replayed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt again but still haven't had your fill of Geralt of Rivia, there's a mod for that. Resident Evil 2 owners on PC can now play as the White Wolf in Capcom's survival horror remake, for some reason. Not that it needs to justify itself with a valid reason. Whether it's modding a "Macho Man" Randy Savage dragon into Skyrim or replacing Left 4 Dead 2's zombies with blood-thirsty Teletubbies, there's already plenty of proof that the more nonsensical your mod is the better. Geralt stands out like a sore thumb roaming Racoon City's police station, which is probably the point. Watching the monster slayer wield a pistol just looks wrong but is also kind of hilarious. The mod was created by Wiwilz, who also developed a mod that replaces Claire with Ciri--just in case you want a taste of The Witcher in both Resident Evil 2 playthroughs. The Geralt mod is the better of the two, though, purely because it features facial animations to give it a more natural look. You can watch footage of the mod above or download it yourself at Nexus Mods--just note that you'll also need to download fluffyquack's mod manager for installation.Mr. X just might be Geralt's most formidable foe yet.Info from Gamespot.com

Marcus Lehto, co-creator of the Halo series and former creative art director at Bungie, announced Disintegration as an amalgam of traditional multiplayer gameplay with PvE elements. Lehto recently opened up about his decision to part with Bungie, which happened in October 2012. According to Lehto, "the bad side of extended crunch periods that would go on for months and months" is the main reason why he left the Destiny studio. "We don't want to experience that, we don't want to replicate that at all again [at V1]," Lehto said. "We also value, incredibly, the health of everybody here--both physically and mentally. To help you shop for your sweetheart this year, we've rounded up some of the best Valentine's Day gift ideas for games you can enjoy together, personalized accessories, collectibles, and more.GamesDream DaddyPlatforms: Nintendo Switch, PS4, PCWhile a dating sim where you play as a hot dad attempting to romance other hot dads may not sound like a game you'd want to play with your significant other on Valentine's Day, it's actually the perfect game to play with a partner. Together, you can design your own hot dad, decide which handsome bachelor to woo, go on dates, and discover multiple endings based on dialogue options you choose along the way. It's not all flirtation and dad puns, however; Dream Daddy also has a very sweet storyline about parenthood and some memorable characters you won't soon forget.Buy it digitally: Steam | Nintendo Eshop | PlayStation StoreStardew ValleyPlatforms: Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, PC, Android, iOSYou might think Stardew Valley is just a farming sim, but this massively popular game is also about building friendships and pursuing romance with the NPC of your choice. Just like you're doing right now, the game makes you consider what gifts your partner will respond best to, and even after you marry the character of your choice, you still have to cherish them and show them attention if you want to keep them, which is a pretty solid message about relationships. While launched as a single-player game, Stardew Valley now has a fantastic multiplayer mode so you can play local or online co-op with your sweetheart. The standalone multiplayer expansion of Don't Starve thrusts you into a strange world with strange creatures and dangers, and you'll have to work together with your partner to gather resources, craft items, and create structures to keep yourselves safe. If relationships are all about protecting each other and working together, Don't Starve Together is the perfect game to buy for your significant other this Valentine's Day. Together, you'll have to control the ship, using turrets and lasers to attack, shields to defend, and thrusters to navigate the environment. This is one game that can get very hectic very quickly and will definitely test your communication skills, but it's also a blast. There's a single-player mode as well where you get help from an AI pet, and up to four players can join in. While a lot cheaper to buy digitally, there's a gorgeous collector's edition available exclusively through IndieBox. Overcooked requires a similar strategy to Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime: Tasks must be delegated, and communication must be swift and clear in order to navigate a level's obstacles and submit enough plates of food in time. If you like cooking together IRL and can handle a challenge, Overcooked is the perfect game to play as a couple this Valentine's Day.
