Valentine's Day is just days away, and to celebrate the romantic holiday, GameStop is kicking off a small sale on games, consoles, and collectibles. It's the perfect time to grab a last-minute gift for your significant other or to treat yourself if you don't have a sweetheart this Valentine's Day. GameStop's sale is live now until February 15 and includes not only games but Xbox One console deals, a bonus trade credit offer, a tote bag you can fill with collectibles for a discount, and more. The sale has some nice deals, but it's not huge, so be sure to check out our guide to the best Valentine's Day gifts for gamers if you're still stuck for ideas this week.Notably, the sale includes last year's fantastic shooter, Tom Clancy's The Division 2, for only $5. We've seen The Division 2 drop as low as $15, maybe even $10 in recent months, but this is by far the best deal we've ever seen on the game for PS4 and Xbox One. The game earned an impressive 9/10 in GameSpot's The Division 2 review for its fantastic world and environmental design, variety of enemies, well-integrated multiplayer modes, and more.Other game deals are scarce, but you can save on a handful of PS4, Xbox One, and Switch games. The new Sonic the Hedgehog movie releases on Valentine's Day, and if you want to really have a Sonic-themed date night with your love, you can snag Team Sonic Racing for $30 as part of the sale. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 is also discounted to $40 on Switch. You can also find The Outer Worlds, NBA 2K20, and Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD for $30 each. The sale also features Xbox One bundles for $350, including the excellent Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Deluxe Edition Xbox One X bundle. This was a Black Friday offer that has returned at many retailers this year, likely due to Xbox Series X releasing at the end of 2020. There are still quite a few major games planned to release before then, such as Doom Eternal, Cyberpunk 2077, and Resident Evil 3 Remake, so it's still worth grabbing an Xbox One on sale if you or your partner don't own a console yet.Collectors can also save on new Funko Pops, action figures, plushies, and more. The in-store tote bag deal has returned, getting you 20% off all collectibles you can stuff in a tote bag (which will cost you $5). Online, that deal becomes 20% off when you buy $100 or more of collectibles. There's not a single sale page rounding up all these deals, so we've picked out some of the highlights from GameStop's Valentine's Day deals below. Plus, you can see more deals, including the current Deal of the Day, at GameStop.Best Valentine's Day deals at GameStopGamesTom Clancy's The Division 2 is down to just $5 this week on PS4 and Xbox One.SwitchCarnival Games -- $15 ($20)Civilization VI -- $20 ($40)Everspace - Stellar Edition -- $20 ($30)Killer Queen Black -- $8 ($25)*Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 -- $40 ($60)Root Letter: Last Answer -- $20 ($28)*Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD -- $30 ($40)Team Sonic Racing -- $30 ($40)Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince -- $15 ($25)*Wargroove - Deluxe Edition -- $15 ($40)*PS4 / Xbox OneAncestors Legacy -- $20 ($35)*The Division 2 -- $5 ($40)Indivisible -- $10-$15 ($30)*NBA 2K20 -- $30 ($60)The Outer Worlds -- $40 ($60)Resident Evil 7 -- $15 ($18)* | Xbox One onlySuper Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD -- $30 ($40)Team Sonic Racing -- $30 ($40)WWE 2K20 -- $30 ($60)*pre-owned gameConsolesStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Deluxe Edition is bundled with an Xbox One X for $350.Sega Genesis Mini -- $60 ($80)Xbox One X NBA 2K20 Special Edition bundle -- $350 ($500)Xbox One X Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Deluxe Edition bundle -- $350 ($500)Gaming accessoriesThe Razer Seiren X USB streaming microphone is pretty in pink and on sale for $20 off.20% extra credit when you trade toward a new accessory ($50 or more)Basilisk Wired Gaming Mouse -- $55 ($70)Seiren X Microphone (Quartz Edition) -- $80 ($100)Snowball iCE USB Microphone -- $40 ($50)SteelSeries Arctis 5 PUBG Edition Gaming Headset -- $60 ($90)Xbox One LVL50W Black Wireless Headset -- $60 ($80)CollectiblesStuff this bag with collectibles and get 20% off everything ($5 for bag itself).20% off everything you can fit in a tote bag -- $5 for bag (in-store only)20% off when you buy $100+ on collectibles (online only)Buy 3 $12 Funko Pops, get another one free Best Deals This Week PSA: Resident Evil 3 Pre-Orders Are Discounted At Amazon (PS4, Xbox One) February 2020 PS Plus Games Revealed For PS4 February 2020 Xbox Games With Gold Revealed Two Excellent Strategy Games Are Free On PC Best Nintendo Switch Deals In The Eshop This Week Info from Gamespot.com

The 92nd Academy Awards took place last night, and delivered some of the biggest surprises in years. Bong Joon Ho's South Korean sensation Parasite won four Oscars, including Best Picture, making it the first foreign language film ever to win that prize. There were also some memorable musical performances, powerful speeches, and hilarious introductions from various hosts. The Oscars is a long ceremony, and not everyone stays the course for the whole thing. And of course, if you don't live in the US, there's a chance that it all took place in the middle of the night. So to make sure you didn't miss any of the highlights, we've gathered together all the best clips from the night.Janelle Monáe kicked off the night with typically wild reworking of her song "Come Alive," that included visual and lyrical references to a host of movies (not just nominated ones) before ending with a version of Elton John's "I'm Still Standing."For the second year running, the Oscars didn't have a traditional host who would appear throughout the night. But Steve Martin and Chris Rock's opening routine was wonderfully funny, and a reminder that the old format can work with the right people and material.Brad Pitt won his first ever Oscar for his supporting role in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. His speech managed to be both political and personal, as he talked about looking back over the years to his start in Hollywood.Taika Waititi was another first-time winner, who picked up his award for Best Adapted Screenplay for Jojo Rabbit.Knowing how funny Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph are, there's every possibility that their, erm, interesting choice of attire while handing out the award for Best Production Design and Best Costume Design was intentionally bizarre. Or maybe they just love those clothes. What do I know about fashion? Will Ferrell and Julia-Louis Dreyfus made for another hilarious double-act while introducing the Oscar for best cinematography, with their, erm, clear understanding of this great cinematic artform...It was inevitable that Cats would be mentioned at some point during the ceremony, and it was two of the cast members themselves-James Corden and Rebel Wilson--who took it upon themselves to mock the much-maligned feline flop.....Bong Joon Ho has become a regular fixture at awards ceremonies over the past few weeks, but it was still clearly an enormous thrill for him to pick up the Best Director award. One of the night's most powerful musical moments came from Billie Eilish, who sang The Beatles's "Yesterday" during the In Memorandum section...There was perhaps little surprise when Joaquin Phoenix picked up the Best Actor award, but it didn't stop his speech being every bit as powerful as the others he has delivered during this awards season. As for Parasite, it remained an Oscar-defining moment when the movie won best Picture. Even the attempts to the organisers to shut down the Parasite crew's speeches failed, with the audience reaction forcing them to turn the lights back on.Info from Gamespot.com

Because of concerns around the coronavirus outbreak, PUBG Corporation has announced its upcoming esports event, the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Global Series in Berlin (or PGS: Berlin), has been postponed.PGS: Berlin was slated to be held in April 2020, with several qualifiers leading up to the main event: the PUBG Global Championship in November 2020. With the coronavirus' death and infected toll rapidly rising, PUBG Corporation has confirmed that all events, especially April 2020's PGS: Berlin, are subject to change."PUBG Corporation is actively monitoring the spread of the latest coronavirus, which was recently declared a global health emergency by the World Health Organization," the studio said in a press release. "The plan to host four PUBG global esports events in 2020 remains unchanged, and we are actively exploring options for when a replacement event can be held."PUBG Corporation has four PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds esports events planned throughout this year: the now-delayed one in April, one in July, another in October, and the main event in November. The studio has no confirmation as to when PGS: Berlin will take place following the postponement, only saying updates will come "once we have a better understand of the best options for esports fans, players, and staff."The coronavirus has become a worldwide concern since it broke out in Wuhan last year. Reports state the death toll has crossed 900, with at least 41,000 people affected in mainland China. Obsidian's The Outer Worlds Switch port has suffered a delay to the coronavirus, and the deadly ailment has created Nintendo Switch shipping issues in Japan. Even the Overwatch League has been affected by the coronavirus.Info from Gamespot.com

There's a buy two, get one free sale at Target this week, which means there's also a buy two, get one free sale at Amazon. Amazon always matches Target's sales nowadays, and this particular B2G1 free promotion is a mix-and-match sale across games, movies, board games, and books.Starting with games, Amazon's sale includes a nice selection of some of the most popular games of 2019, including Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice ($45), Death Stranding ($49.30), and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order ($50). Interestingly, Death Stranding's $200 collector's edition is featured in the sale, but you'd have to find some expensive products to pair it with to make the deal worthwhile.Amazon's selection of games is far more limited than Target's, but this fact is slightly deceiving. Some of the games in Target's sale, such as Borderlands 3 and NBA 2K20, aren't featured in Amazon's sale. But Target has those games and others listed for their full $60 price, while Amazon has them for 50% off or more. Essentially, before you shop Target's sale, make sure you can't find what you want for less at Amazon. The movie deals are even better. The recently-released Doctor Sleep, one of my favorite movies of 2019, and Oscar winner Joker are up for grabs on Blu-ray--Joker is even discounted to $15, too. The biggest movie of last year, Avengers: Endgame, is also featured in the promotion. Anime fans can grab Studio Ghibli films like Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke as well as The Legend of Korra: Complete Series. If you liked Parasite, you should check out Snowpiercer, one of director Bong Joon-ho's earlier movies, which is also discounted to the incredibly low price of $6.46.A bunch of great graphic novels and art books are included as well. Alan Moore's seminal graphic novel Watchmen is joined by other classics like The Dark Knight Returns Slipcase Set and The Complete Maus. Three of the wonderful Zelda art books--Hyrule Historia, The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia, and Breath of the Wild: Creating a Champion--are available, too.Additionally, a handful of great board and card games like Cards Against Humanity, Ticket to Ride, and Disney's wonderful 2018 game Villainous are featured. As it's a mix-and-match sale, you can pick three items across any category and get the cheapest item free. You can browse the full B2G1 free sale at Amazon and check out our favorite deals below. Amazon doesn't list an end date for the sale, but expect it to run until Target's sale ends on February 15. When Sony purchased Spider-Man developer Insomniac Games, it seemed like a natural fit for a studio that had long worked closely with PlayStation on exclusives. Recent financial disclosures show just how much Sony paid for the developer.Niko Partners analyst Daniel Ahmad noted on Twitter that according to recent SEC filings, Sony paid roughly $229 million, mostly in cash, when the deal closed in November. The sale was first announced in August.Sony Interactive Entertainment paid $229 million, mainly in cash, for Insomniac Games in November 2019.According to recent SEC filing -https://t.co/I3zKLKHydU pic.twitter.com/ebJTX716pe — Daniel Ahmad (@ZhugeEX) February 10, 2020Spider-Man was a huge success for both Insomniac and Sony, breaking first-party sales records that had been set by God of War. The relationship seemed mutual, as Sony games chairman Shawn Layden said the studio was a perfect fit, and Insomniac called it a "homecoming."Insomniac had worked mostly on PlayStation exclusives since its founding in 1994, and was known for mascot-driven platformers like Spyro the Dragon and Ratchet & Clank. Though it worked on a handful of iOS and multiplatform games, and the Xbox One exclusive Sunset Overdrive, Spider-Man was a return to PlayStation exclusivity, as Sony owns the game rights to the character. The iconic character design with a white spider logo has become referenced in other fiction as part of the multi-verse, and even immortalized with collectibles. Sony has also regularly used the game to illustrate the faster load times on the upcoming PS5. For more details, read our feature on how Marvel's Spider-Man came together.Info from Gamespot.com

Along with their announcement that they're releasing a new Call of Duty this new Call of Duty this year, Activision has revealed the roadmap for Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's multiplayer, and it includes an old favorite: Rust. Known as one of the smallest maps in the entire Call of Duty franchise, Rust has divided fans since it first debuted back in 2009's Modern Warfare 2.Like the infamous Shipment from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the compact size of the map means that you're likely to spawn in the crosshairs of one of your opponents, making for very quick matches. The map is also known for encouraging tactics that some players dislike, like camping and grenade spamming. Still, if you like quick and dirty close-quarters-combat, Rust is the map for you.Rust takes place in the middle of a sandstormRust will be available at the launch of Season 2 on February 11, and it's free to those who already own Modern Warfare. Over the PS4's lifespan, dozens of DualShock 4 color combinations have been released, but two of the most popular colors have been out of stock for quite some time: the Sunset Orange and Berry Blue controllers. Initially announced back in August 2018, these limited-edition controllers sold out quickly when they first hit the market, and they've been hard to find ever since. Fans who couldn't get their hands on these controllers at the time are in luck, however, as Sony is restocking these shades for a limited time.Available only in the US and Canada, the Berry Blue and Sunset Orange controllers are selling at full price ($65 each) while supplies last. The striking Berry Blue controller features a turquoise faceplate along with burgundy buttons, joysticks, and backplate. Meanwhile, the Sunset Orange controller feels like it's channeling Goku with its bright orange faceplate and navy blue features. You can buy them both from PlayStation Direct, but if you prefer to buy from Amazon, the retailer seems to have gotten some stock as well. The two colors are available for Prime shipping, and they're shipped from and sold by Amazon.Of course, you might be wondering if it's worth it to add another DualShock 4 to your collection with PS5 on the way. Unfortunately, we still don't know enough about PlayStation's next-gen console, including whether it will be compatible with the DualShock 4. We do know, however, that the PS5 will be backward-compatible with PS4 games, and the newly released back button attachment may be a way of upgrading the DualShock 4's functionality for next-gen games. With PS5 releasing this holiday season, we're sure to get more information on the new PlayStation's compatibility soon.DualShock 4 - Berry Blue controller | $65 See at PlayStation Direct See at Amazon DualShock 4 - Sunset Orange controller | $65 See at PlayStation Direct See at Amazon Of course, there are numerous other colors available for the DualShock 4, and many of them are regularly on sale at this point if you don't want to shell out $65. Another new Call of Duty game is on the way later this year, but in the meantime, a new season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is about to kick off very soon. Season 2 of Activision's hit shooter begins on PS4, Xbox One, and PC tomorrow, February 11, and it'll bring a new Battle Pass, free maps, modes, and lots of other content over the next few weeks.First, two new multiplayer maps will be available for all players right from launch day: Rust and Atlas Superstore. The former is a classic battleground originally featured in Modern Warfare 2, while the latter is an entirely new map set in a warehouse. A third new multiplayer map, Khandor Hideout, will also arrive during the season. On top of that, Season 2 will launch with a new map for both Ground War (Zhokov Boneyard) and Gunfight (Bazaar). Two new multiplayer modes will also be available from the start of the season, including Gunfight Tournaments--a limited-time 2v2 single elimination competition for 32 teams.Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 2 roadmapRounding out the launch day content is Ghost, who is being added to Modern Warfare as a playable Operator. Season Two of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare begins tomorrow, February 11. The season offers a brand-new battle pass of rewards to earn, modes to play, challenges to complete, and missions to take on. You won't get everything on launch day though. In the following article, we list all of the new content that will be available in Modern Warfare on day one of Season Two.The new season launches with two new multiplayer maps (Rust and Atlas Superstore), a new Ground War map (Zhokov Boneyard), and several new Gunfight maps. You'll also gain access to two new multiplayer modes--Gunfight Tournaments and Call of Duty League Ruleset Playlist--as well as the Ghost operator. Both the GRAU 5.56 and Striker 45 will be added as new weapons too. That's all the new content specifically coming tomorrow. The remaining map, two operators, four modes, and weapon will be added to Modern Warfare later in Season Two. You can see a visual representation of the split in the image embedded below. The return of Rust is the big content drop for Season Two. For those who don't know, Rust is another remake of a classic Modern Warfare map. Specifically belonging to 2009's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Rust is modeled off of the Endgame mission from the game's campaign. It's a small map, but Rust offers a lot of vertical movement--allowing you to ambush enemies from both above and below. Most of Season Two's content will drop on day one, but you'll need to wait until later in the season to see the rest of the new modes, maps, operators, and weapons. Call of Duty News Classic Call Of Duty Map Rust Returns In Modern Warfare Season 2 Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 2 Launches Tomorrow, Adds New Operator, Maps, And Much More CoD: Modern Warfare Season 2 - Here's What Launches On Tuesday Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 2 Battle Pass Detailed Yup, Another Call Of Duty Is Coming Later This Year In GameSpot's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare review, Kallie Plagge wrote, "The pitfalls of Spec Ops don't detract from what Modern Warfare does well, though. Realism mode is an excellent addition to the slate, and although not all the new multiplayer modes are great, Gunfight and the Night Vision playlist are refreshing standouts. And while the campaign ends up playing it safe in the end, it's still a memorable one, and it lays a strong foundation for where the Modern Warfare series could go from here."Though it's incredibly obvious--given the annual nature of the franchise--Activision Blizzard has confirmed that a new Call of Duty game is in development and scheduled to release later this year. But there was one high-profile project that didn't get any love from the Academy, among others: Martin Scorsese's The Irishman. Its star-studded cast and Scorsese's reputation as one of cinema's best living directors led many to lobby for it to win Best Picture, but in the end, the Netflix-produced three-plus hour crime epic didn't win any Oscars, despite its 10 nominations. That didn't stop Parasite director Bong Joon-ho from giving Scorsese a shout-out (along with fellow nominee Quentin Tarantino) in his victory speech for Best Director, however. This is nothing new for Scorsese: he's been nominated for Best Director 9 times, winning only once, for The Departed, which also won Best Picture. As for The Irishman, it's in good company--Taxi Driver, arguably Scorsese's most-acclaimed film, didn't win any Oscars either. (Raging Bull did, though.)Over the last few years, critics have lambasted the Academy for not doing enough to celebrate women directors, pointing out that only one woman, Kathryn Bigelow, has won the Best Director award in the entire history of the Oscars. While there are plenty of women directors who could've made the cut this year, one name in particular stands out as particularly galling: Greta Gerwig. Her film Little Women was nominated for six different awards, including Best Picture.Info from Gamespot.com

Despite confirming that the coronavirus will cause shipping problems in Japan, Nintendo has announced that sales of Switch consoles and accessories won't be impacted in North America and Europe. In a statement to Kotaku last week, a Nintendo of America spokesperson said the company does not anticipate the coronavirus having a "significant impact" on the distribution of Nintendo Switch consoles and accessories. This includes pre-orders like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Joy-Con controllers, and more."We can confirm that the manufacturing of some Nintendo products for the Japanese market has been delayed due to the impact of [the] 2019-nCoV coronavirus outbreak," the spokesperson said. "Nintendo does not anticipate a significant impact on our broader global supply chain for systems and accessories at this time, and product sales in North America and Europe, including preorders, are not affected. We would like to express our concern and support for all those affected by the coronavirus during this challenging time."Earlier this month, Nintendo said that Switch console and accessory manufacturing would be delayed in Japan because of the coronavirus outbreak. What the company called an "unavoidable" move, a senior analyst at games market research firm Niko Partners told CNBC that the decision could have huge ramifications in the US."China is important for manufacturing of some game hardware, phones, and other components, and we believe that the entire supply chain of manufactured goods will be impacted--much more than just games," Niko Partners' Daniel Ahmad explained. "When looking at games consoles specifically, we note that 96% of video game consoles imported into the U.S. in 2018 were produced in China. Whilst companies such as Nintendo have moved some manufacturing abroad, China still accounts for the majority."Info from Gamespot.com
