Microsoft appears to have another venue lined up for its cloud gaming plans. During its latest Unpacked event, the mobile company Samsung announced it is working with Microsoft on a "premium cloud-based game streaming experience."GameSpot sister site Cnet reports that details on the service were scant, but Samsung also announced that Forza Street will be coming to Samsung Galaxy devices. The racing game released on Windows PCs last year.In a statement to Cnet, Microsoft teased more details to come regarding the Samsung relationship."We believe players around the world should have access to great, high-quality games on the device of their choice," a Microsoft spokesperson said. "Working with partners like Samsung is an important step in our Project xCloud journey and will help make game streaming more accessible for gamers. We look forward to sharing more later this year."Microsoft is currently testing its xCloud gaming platform, which aims to bring its library of games to multiple devices. The company appears bullish on cloud gaming as the future, even suggesting its chief competition will be from other web-based corporations like Google and Amazon. Ultimately the company seems to be aiming to bring the service to as many screens as it can, though a partnership with Samsung will certainly help it along. The company has not yet detailed exactly how xCloud will work in conjunction with its upcoming console, Xbox Series X. That console is set to launch this year, and we expect to hear more details either before or at E3 2020. Listen up, Hulkamaniacs: if you live in California, you might not have to hop on a plane to see Brock Lesnar snooze his way through another main event because WWE is bringing Wrestlemania to LA in 2021.The much-heralded wrestling event is coming to SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park. "There is nothing quite like Wrestlemania Week," said Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti. "It is a one-of-a-kind event that provides an economic boost to the region--and fans from around the world will find a city that is ready to host them and welcomes the spectacle."This announcement comes less than two months from 2020's Wrestlemania, which will take place in Tampa Bay on April 5. Currently, the only announced match for that event is Brock Lesnar vs. Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship--Lesnar is the current champion, while McIntyre won January's Men's Royal Rumble, which traditionally confers a main event slot at Wrestlemania. Of course, as WWE owner Vince McMahon often loves to say, the card is subject to change. In a recent investor call, McMahon suggested that WWE may soon sell the rights to their largest events or pay-per-views (including Wrestlemania) to major networks, like ESPN. While that might widen the audience for WWE content, such a move might risk alienating fans who pay for the streaming service in order to keep up with their favorite WWE events.Currently, McMahon is in the throes of trying to create a legitimate rival to the National Football League with his rebooted XFL. Given that the original XFL collapsed shortly after its first championship game back in 2001 and resulted in a massive loss for McMahon and NBC, it's unclear how exactly this is going to shape out.Info from Gamespot.com

Rejoice, Yakuza fans, you can now play all of the main Yakuza storyline on one console! The PS4 remastered version of Yakuza 5 was released today for $25. Or if you want all of the remastered editions (not including the remakes), you can also snag a digital or physical Yakuza Remastered Collection that includes Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 remastered for $60. These new versions feature improved graphics, as well as the addition of scenes that were cut from the original Western releases. The other games in the series, Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami (a remake of the original Yakuza), Yakuza Kiwami 2 (a remake of Yakuza 2), and Yakuza 6, were previously available to play on the PS4. With the completion of 3, 4 and 5 remasters, those that got their introduction to the Yakuza series through Yakuza 0 on the PS4 can follow Kazuma Kiryu's journey in 3, 4, and 5 linearly, instead of having to jump to Yakuza 6, the finale that concluded his story. The Yakuza Remastered Collection not only includes the three remastered games, but purchasers will also receive a free dynamic theme. The physical bundle, The Yakuza Remastered Collection: Day 1 Edition, also offers a Yakuza 5 PS3 case, which is meant to fill the gap in collectors' bookshelves, since the game originally was a digital-only release. (Note: only the PS3 case will be included, not the PS3 version of the game.)Though Kazuma Kiryu's journey is over, the Yakuza franchise isn't dead by any means. RGG studio released a new Yakuza game, Yakuza 7: Like A Dragon in Japan on January 16, 2020. The game is slated for release in the West later in 2020. Yakuza 7 features a new lead named Kazuga Ichiban and turn-based combat to reflect the protagonist's love of Dragon Quest.Yakuza Remastered CollectionIf you're interested in picking up the physical edition for Yakuza Remastered Collection, you can order it online below. The Division 2 will see some big changes with the upcoming Warlords of New York expansion. Returning to New York City, the expansion will have players face off against familiar big-bad Aaron Keener and his squad of rogue agents, in order to stop another biological attack on the city. In addition to revisiting the city where the franchise started, the expansion will also introduce a suite of changes to the game's familiar loot and shoot dynamic to make the power grind a bit more accessible for all players.During our hands-on with the game's upcoming expansion, we had the chance to listen to the developers talk about how the first year went for The Division 2, and why the gear and power-growth systems were in need of a change. In addition to improving general RNG for new loot across the world tiers, the overall gear system has been revised to do a better job of conveying changes to power-growth for players. The developers explained they were satisfied with the game's original power grind from levels 1 to 30, but they addressed that the end-game grind was where most players hit a wall on account of how cumbersome the gear menus and inventory UI was. This will be streamlined and made more presentable when Warlords of New York releases.Along with new exotics and legendary weapons, The Division 2 will now include "god-roll" items, which will let you hunt down a particular weapon with a set of stats that are a cut above the rest. The developers at Massive Entertainment stated that it was important to convey weapon power to players, while also including more of a reason to want to go on the hunt for particular weapons.Another big change coming are adjustments to the various character builds, such as DPS, tank, and skill-builds. Over the course of the year, Ubisoft noticed that players tend to stick with DPS builds in order to maximize the effectiveness during fights, which left other viable builds like tank and skill underutilized. Along with gear calibration being more streamlined, which will now negate the need to save different gear pieces to presets, the various skill mods in particular have been simplified to address the changes to character builds. The revised systems coming to the game are intended to present a more flexible approach to letting players grow their characters in the ways they want, which will make end-game less of an exhausting and repetitive grind. In GameSpot's review of The Division 2, senior editor and producer Edmond Tran awarded the game a 9 and stated: "The Division 2 as a game are compelling enough to keep you captivated for dozens more. The range of enemy types continues to keep combat encounters challenging, the equipment I earn and pick up continues to feel different, valuable, and asks me to consider new ways of play. The ravaged environments continue to intrigue, and sometimes they're so stunning I find myself needing to take screenshots before I move on. It might not have much to say, but The Division 2 is a perpetual cycle of tension, relief, and reward that's difficult to stay away from."For more on The Division 2: Warlords of New York, including more from our hands-on with the game, be sure to check out GameSpot's coverage of the game. Ubisoft unveiled the first major expansion for The Division 2, Warlords of New York. After nearly a year of post-launch content set in Washington D.C., the sequel will head back to where the series began, putting you on the hunt for the returning antagonist Aaron Keener while making your way through the unexplored region of Lower Manhattan from the first game. We spent some hands-on time with the expansion before its reveal and saw the number of changes in store for The Division 2's economy and power-grind. However, one of the most surprising details about the new expansion is that new players will be able to jump in right from the beginning.Releasing a standalone expansion for $30, which will mark the beginning of The Division 2's Year 2 content, you'll be able to dive right into the new storyline and head to Lower Manhattan immediately. With the new $40 standard edition of the game, which includes the base game and the expansion, new players can boost their starting character to level 30 and head straight for the new content. From there, you can take on missions throughout Lower Manhattan, where you'll face off against Keener's rogue agents and the returning factions like the Cleaners and the Rikers.According to Ubisoft, this approach was to let players jump straight into the new content without having to catch up to other players. During our hands-on, we got to explore the new-New York City in The Division 2, which has a different vibe when compared to the snowy urban expanse from the original game. With various missions set around the different regions of Lower Manhattan, including Battery Park, Twin Bridges, Civic Center, and the Financial District, you'll be able to take on the various targets and objects in the order you wish.In addition to the new plot and world space to explore, the expansion also brings with it an increased level cap and a revamped gear system, which streamlines the UI to convey character growth and differences in player archetypes better. The developers stated that this new expansion would be a convenient way for newcomers to try out The Division 2, which presented the opportunity to re-evaluate how they showed the familiar power grind in the game.In GameSpot's review of The Division 2, senior editor and producer Edmond Tran awarded the game a 9/10 and stated: "The Division 2 as a game are compelling enough to keep you captivated for dozens more. Developer Naughty Dog has announced that the long-awaited PlayStation 4 exclusive will be playable to the public for the very first time during PAX East in Boston later this month. As you may recall, Ellie and Joel began their adventure in a fictional post-apocalyptic Boston in the original Last of Us, so this is sort of a homecoming for the franchise. Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is a mouthful of a movie title, and recently, it's had a not-so-great start at the box office. So Warner Bros. has decided to give the film a facelift, by way of a new title for it to be listed as at theaters, Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey. While a movie getting a name change as it's in theaters seems like an abnormality--whether it's an official name change by the studio or movie theaters rebranding it--it's something that has happened a few times in the past. Whether it be a way for the studio to try and get a boost out of the box office or just a way to categorize a movie, here are a few name changes from the history of cinema. The most notable name change for a film is the 2014 Tom Cruise sci-fi blockbuster Edge of Tomorrow. While filming, the movie had the same title of the book it was based on, All You Need Is Kill. Warner Bros. famously changed it to Edge of Tomorrow after filming wrapped, and director Doug Liman wasn't a fan of that, as he felt it didn't fit the tone of the movie, according to an interview with Den of Geek. He wanted Live Die Repeat, and after Edge of Tomorrow had a rough start at the box office, the "Live Die Repeat" title was tagged onto the end."They started titling it the title I always thought it should have, which is Live Die Repeat," explained Liman. "But they tiptoed around it, and when we make the sequel, it'll be permanently titled Live Die Repeat."This one is a little bit of a cheat. 2016's Ghostbusters always had the full title of Ghostbusters: Answer The Call, but the movie marketed the movie simply as "Ghostbusters." Even the title at the beginning of the film lacks the "Answer the Call" tag. However, this tag was added on earlier simply for Sony to catalog its movie."It was basically the studio realizing for the video catalogs, and that kind of thing, [there would be] two Ghostbusters. And I didn’t want to make it like 2016," director Paul Feig told io9. "That sounded like Airport ‘77. The next year, you’re like, 'Oh, that’s an old movie.' I didn’t want to have to anchor with that, so they basically said they liked [Answer the Call]."There have also been changes for movie titles years down the road. 1977's Star Wars became Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and Raiders of the Lost Ark became Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark for the obvious reasons of connecting the movies to its sequels.Movie title changes are pretty common when it comes to pre-production of a film. For example, one of the most notable changes was the film $3000--which refers to the amount needed to buy a prostitute--which was retitled Pretty Woman. This was done because $3000 is a pretty terrible title for a movie. At times, films also get working titles while in production to throw people off. Director Christopher Nolan did this with his Batman followup The Dark Knight, filming under the guise of Rory's First Kiss. Would fans rather stakeout the set for a movie about a first kiss or Batman punching people? Birds of Prey & DC News Birds Of Prey Gets A New Title After Poor Box Office Results Birds Of Prey: All The Comic Book References You Missed Does Birds Of Prey Have A Post Credits Scene? In GameSpot's review of Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey, Meg Downey gave the movie a 9 out of 10 and said, "It's the sort of kinetic, high energy romp that comes with built-in replay value, and proves exactly why Harley Quinn has become such an endearing, beloved character in the pop-culture pantheon. If this is the direction the DCEU is headed, the future's looking bright."Info from Gamespot.com

Escape From Tarkov's developers have apologized on Twitter for the weekend's server issues, which kept many players out of the game or caused them to be disconnected mid-raid. But studio Battlestate Games is doing more than just apologizing--it's compensating players with 1 million in-game roubles for the trouble. In a tweet explaining the situation, Battlestate Games says players have three days (starting February 10) to collect their free in-game cash. Just load up the game and find your compensation in the form of a letter in your messenger at the bottom right. You can collect your roubles even if you didn't play Escape From Tarkov this weekend and weren't directly affected by the server issues. The letter will remain in your messages for 48 hours the next time you login. If you've already launched the game but haven't collected your roubles, you should check now before it's too late.We want to assure you that we are working tirelessly to improve the server situation, although it is not always up to us to fix it.We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding — Battlestate Games (@bstategames) February 10, 2020Some Tarkov players have accepted the gift warmly, while others question whether it's enough. Players who disconnect from Escape From Tarkov mid-raid and aren't able to re-connect risk losing all of their loot, including gear they brought into the session with them--even if the disconnection was due to uncontrollable factors like server instability. The appeal of Tarkov comes from its high-risk, high-reward gameplay, but a bad connection is never a welcome part of any raid. Players are offered the chance to re-connect if they've lagged out of a game, but there's no guarantee it will work or that their gear will be recovered.Battlestate Games assures players it's "working tirelessly to improve the server situation." For newer players, a free 1 million roubles isn't a bad deal. There are no microtransactions in Escape From Tarkov, but there are currently four editions, three of which will secure you additional gear and a bigger stash at the start. In-game currency like the aforementioned roubles are used to purchase weapons, ammo, firearm mods, medical supplies, and more, either via in-game NPC traders or the player-run flea market.Escape From Tarkov does not currently have a release date.Info from Gamespot.com

The big new Season 2 update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has arrived. It adds lots of new content, including a new version of the much-loved Rust map from Modern Warfare 2, so it was always expected to carry a hefty file size. But few could have imagined just how large the file size was, as it runs up to 100GB depending on your platform. Fans quickly and passionately expressed their disappointment over this, as it could take hours to download.Developer Infinity Ward has now commented on the massive file size. Production director Paul Haile apologized on Twitter for the size of the update. He said this Season 2 update is a unique situation that will actually decrease the file size of the game overall. That's because this update includes new asset packs that reduce the overall size of the game by "a little" when all is said and done. Additionally, this update includes changes that tweak the data files to offer "better overall" disk-space management. Future updates for Modern Warfare should not be as big as Season 2, Haile said.Additionally, a future update for Modern Warfare will allow players to choose which DLC packs to install or delete to free up space. This is similar to Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which allows players to pick and choose which content they want to download so as to keep the overall file size more management. This new DLC management system for Modern Warfare will only be available on console, Haile said."I'm very conscious of the overall size of MW and we're doing what we can to minimize this for everyone. Thanks!" he said. The Modern Warfare Season 2 update includes two new multiplayer maps (Rust and Atlas Superstore), a new Ground War map (Zhokov Boneyard), and new Gunfight maps. Gunfight Tournaments and Call of Duty League Ruleset playlists are also added, along with two more weapons (GRAU 5.56 and Striker 45) and the new operator, Simon "Ghost" Riley. The maps and weapons are free for all players, but Ghost and a series of cosmetic rewards and XP tokens are only for premium Battle Pass tiers. You can also purchase your way into the Battle Pass Bundle and get 20 Tier skips as well. For more on the new Call of Duty, check out GameSpot's Modern Warfare review.Infinity Ward Production Director Paul Haile On Modern Warfare File Size:hey all - as we push season 2 live i just want to apologize about the download size of this update. we're constantly trying to fight back against both download size and disk footprint and in this case we're re-sending new asset packs to reduce the overall size of the game. — Paul Haile (@Tyrael) February 11, 2020this is what has caused the update today to be so big. after todays download you should see that, even though we've added season 2 and the associated content for it, the overall size of the game should shrink a little on your local hard drive. — Paul Haile (@Tyrael) February 11, 2020in addition to this update keeping the disk footprint from increasing, we're also taking this opportunity to set up the data up for better overall management to try and keep future updates from being this large, even during a season rollout. — Paul Haile (@Tyrael) February 11, 2020additionally, in a future update we're going to also be adding a DLC pack management screen for console users, to allow you to pick and choose which DLC packs you want keep, and remove the others to recover more space as well. — Paul Haile (@Tyrael) February 11, 2020i'm very conscious of the overall size of MW and we're doing what we can to minimize this for everyone. thanks! — Paul Haile (@Tyrael) February 11, 2020 Call of Duty News Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Patch Notes For Season 2 Update Battle Royale Possibly Teased For Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Season 2 Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 2 Has Launched, Adds New Operator, Maps, And Much More Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 2 Battle Pass Detailed Info from Gamespot.com

If you've spent any time with a Gears game over the past decade-plus, you've probably been on the receiving end of the series' signature lever-action shotgun, the Gnasher. Known for instantly-killing multiplayer opponents at a close-enough range, the shotgun has enjoyed a fearsome reputation over the years, even as some fans have fielded complaints that the weapon is too powerful. For Gears 5, however, developer The Coalition has decided to change some of the weapon's damage numbers in a patch that went live on February 11."While we feel that the Gnasher is currently in a good spot in Gears 5, we are always looking for opportunities to improve the combat experience," wrote a spokesperson for The Coalition. "As part of our on-going mechanics updates, we’ve made a few changes to the Gnasher to make the game both more fun and more skillful."As part of this patch, the Gnasher's instant-kill distant has been reduced, along with the damage for a direct hit, meaning that players will have to be closer in order to shred their target. However, the weapon's maximum range has also increased, meaning that you can "poke" an opponent for a tiny bit of damage from much further out. The Coalition hopes that these changes will give players a bit more of a fighting chance. If you haven't checked out Gears 5, it's available on Xbox Game Pass on PC or Xbox One. In our review, Phil Hornshaw felt that the game suffered from the same storytelling weakness as its predecessors, but he also said that the new additions to Gears 5 "are all things that seem right at home with the elements that give the series its identity."Info from Gamespot.com
