Microsoft has announced the Project xCloud preview is now also available for iOS devices. Previously, the preview was only available for Android."Ever since we launched the Project xCloud preview last year, we've continued to field requests for iOS support (I’ve seen your tweets)," Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb wrote in a blog post. "We've been testing an iOS client internally, and today, we're taking the next step by making the Project xCloud preview available for iOS users through the TestFlight program."The iOS version of the preview client for Project xCloud is only available in the US, UK, and Canada--and unlike Android, only the Project xCloud preview is available on iOS, not the preview for Xbox Console Streaming. At this time, space in the preview is limited (only 10,000 testers for now), but Microsoft expects to expand on the total numbers in the future.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Bungie is preparing to issue a hotfix update to a pervasive Destiny 2 exploit, which gave Warlocks god-like powers. The glitch let Warlocks activate the Dawnblade super infinitely, creating an obvious balance issue. Bungie says a hotfix is coming tomorrow, February 13. This follows just after the Crimson Days event patch. The word of a fix comes from the Bungie Help Twitter account, which says that some recent background maintenance lays the groundwork for hotfix 2.7.1.2. That will be the patch that fixes the Dawnblade problem, as well as a server code fix to keep currencies from disappearing. This maintenance will prepare us for Hotfix 2.7.1.2 releasing on Feb. 13, which includes a server code fix so currencies won't disappear again, and a fix for the infinite Dawnblade issue. — Bungie Help (@BungieHelp) February 12, 2020The glitch began widely circulating on February 7, when Twitch streamer Gladd showed it in action. According to Gladd, the exploit has been quietly circulating for quite a while, and he helped popularize it just before it was preparing to become public. The more widespread knowledge has made some PvP matches a wild Warlock vs Warlock flame-fest.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Pokemon Home is now available, which means you can transfer Pokemon from old games into Sword and Shield. Currently, you can only transfer Pokemon that are in the Galar Pokedex, plus a handful of extras; however, any regional forms a Pokemon has occupy the same Pokedex number as their normal form, meaning you can get some alternate forms in Sword and Shield via Home even if they weren't originally available in the Galar region. This includes Alolan Vulpix and Ninetales, whose original forms are already included in the Galar Pokedex, as well as regular Darumaka and Darmanitan, who gained Galarian forms in Gen 8. Before Pokemon Home, there was no way to get the alternate forms of these Pokemon in Sword and Shield. Once you transfer them in, though, it's really easy to get more if you know how.Normally, when breeding a Pokemon with alternate forms, the offspring will hatch as the form native to the region you're in--so Vulpix will always be normal, because that's the kind of Vulpix you can get in Galar. Once you transfer in an Alolan Vulpix, though, you can breed more Alolan Vulpix by giving it an Everstone to hold before putting it in the Nursery. This will pass down the parent's form to the offspring, but it only works if the parent is female or if you're breeding with Ditto. This also only applies if the Pokemon that will hatch also has an alternate form; for example, breeding an Alolan Raichu that's holding an Everstone won't get you an Alolan Pikachu because there isn't such a thing. It will instead be a regular Pikachu, and in Galar, Pikachu will always evolve into regular Raichu.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Multiplayer hack-and-slash roguelite Conan Chop Chop has suffered yet another delay. Instead of launching on February 25, it's now expected to arrive sometime in "Q2 2020" (between April 1 and June 30) on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, developer Mighty Kingdom and publisher Funcom announced in a press release.Conan Chop Chop was initially teased as an April Fools' day joke during last year's E3 before getting an official announcement trailer. The game is a crudely-drawn rendition of Conan the Barbarian, featuring stick figures instead of a more traditional art style. It's a solo- and multiplayer romp that seems to share a lot in common with other hack-and-slash titles like Castle Crashers or Streets of Red: Devil's Dare Deluxe.Mighty Kingdom said the extra development time will allow the studio to optimize Conan Chop Chop for online multiplayer, as well as add some finishing touches to polish the overall experience. "It's basically all about getting that final Chop in place," studio head Philip Mayes said. "This isn't merely a one-chop game. This is Conan Chop Chop, and that necessitates extra attention to detail."Info from Gamespot.com

Disney+ has ordered a 10-episode Mighty Ducks series and, somehow, the Ducks are the bad guys in this one. "You either die the hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain." This must have been what Harvey Dent was talking about in The Dark Knight.Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls) and Brady Noon (Good Boys) will star in the series as a mother and son who have been wronged by everyone's favorite hockey team. A description of the series from Disney+ reads, "In present-day Minnesota, the Mighty Ducks have evolved from scrappy underdogs to an ultra-competitive, powerhouse youth hockey team. After 12-year-old Evan (Noon) is unceremoniously cut from the Ducks, he and his mom Alex (Graham) set out to build their own ragtag team of misfits to challenge the cutthroat, win-at-all-costs culture of competitive youth sports."There's no word about whether or not anyone from the original trilogy of movies will make an appearance on the show. Still, it would be exciting to know what happened to the likes of Charlie Conway (Joshua Jackson) or Coach Gordon Bombay (Emilio Estevez).Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The live-action remake of the manga and anime classic Akira has been in various stages of development over the past decade, but it doesn't seem to be getting any closer to happening. Most recently, Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi has been attached to write and direct the movie. But in a new interview, Waititi suggests that the movie is likely to be made without him.Speaking to Variety, Waititi explained that delays to Akira meant that it ended up potentially clashing with work on his upcoming Marvel sequel, Thor: Love and Thunder. "The whole thing went on hold," he said. "We had to keep pushing the dates, and it encroached on the Thor dates, which were immovable. So Akira ended up shifting two years down the track."Waititi went on to say that Akira was now so far off that he no longer knew if he would be still be involved. "So I'm not sure if even in two years I'd be--I don’t know what I'm doing in f***ing two days," he said. "I think eventually it will happen. I'm just not sure if I'll be doing it."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Pokemon Home is now live on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android devices. The new service lets you store Pokemon you've caught in various games in the cloud and bring them into the series' latest installments, Sword and Shield. (You can even nab free Pokemon just for using the service.)Through Pokemon Home, you can bring over Pokemon you have stored in Pokemon Bank on 3DS to the Switch, meaning it's now possible to get a handful of non-Galar Pokemon in Sword and Shield, including other regional forms. However, the transfer process can be a little confusing, so we've put together this guide explaining how to move Pokemon from Bank and other games to Home. Before we get into how to transfer your pocket monsters, it is recommended you first download Pokemon Home on your mobile device and link that to your Nintendo Account before doing the same on Switch. If you want to bring over monsters from Bank, you'll also need to have a paid Pokemon Home subscription, as that is one of the features reserved exclusively for the premium plan. You can learn more in our Pokemon Home pricing guide.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Fortnite is one of the biggest games on the planet, and as a free-to-play game, it makes money from the sale of microtransactions. Unlike other popular free-to-play titles, however, the game does not have loot boxes.Developer Epic Games stands against loot boxes as a monetization practice. CEO Tim Sweeney said during the D.I.C.E. 2020 Summit in Las Vegas that loot boxes share the same characteristics as gambling, and they have no place in games."We have to ask ourselves, as an industry, what we want to be when we grow up?" he said to an audience of some of the biggest names in gaming, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "Do we want to be like Las Vegas, with slot machines ... or do we want to be widely respected as creators of products that customers can trust? I think we will see more and more publishers move away from loot boxes."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
