Hunters is Amazon's high-profile new series about a team of underground Nazi hunters in 1970s America. It's got some serious talent both behind and in front of the camera, with Jordan Peele as executive producer and Al Pacino in the lead role. It hits Prime Video later this month, and the new red-band trailer has now been released.While the previous trailers were dark and dramatic, they were also fairly restrained, given the subject matter. That's definitely not the case with the new trailer. It's packed with violent action and NSFW language, as Pacino's character Meyer Offerman and his young team get to work tracking down and killing a new wave of Nazis who have infiltrated American society. In a retrospective cataloguing its achievements over its 23-year history, Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human developer Quantic Dream has revealed its plans to become entirely independent and shift towards self-publishing.The studio has been defined in the most recent generations as a partner to Sony, developing PlayStation exclusives across both the PS2 and PS3. Update: Early Friday morning, February 14, the Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem developers posted a status update regarding its launch day server issues. In the post, the developers cited the massive spike in players that put an unexpected amount of stress on its servers, but have assured the community that it now has "more servers, more space," plus a hotfix coming later in the day that should resolve residual issues. GTA V Online's Valentine's Day event offers many in-game perks. You can earn 50% more than the average cash haul if you rob the casino, and a whole slew of heists and Adversary modes will also be offering double payout this week.The heists include The Fleeca Job, Prison Break, and Series A, and the Adversary modes include Offense Defense, Hasta La Vista, and Lost vs. Damned. If you a grab a partner, you can participate in Till Death Til Us Part, an Adversary mode where you share one life between the two of you, and earn twice the normal amount. E3 2020 is coming, and game publishers are preparing to show their wares at the annual event. This year promises to continue a shift that began years ago, as PlayStation is skipping the event again and host Geoff Keighley has announced he will not be producing the E3 Coliseum.The LA Convention Center is still going to be packed with game developers, though. The show will begin on Tuesday, June 9, and as usual several companies will be hosting their own press conferences and special presentations. We may also see the return of E3-adjacent events like EA Play. Prior years have also hosted a specialized PC Gaming Show to complement the console and publisher press conferences.So far, the recently-opened official E3 Web site only lists a handful of confirmed exhibitors, but some of the biggest names like Microsoft and Nintendo are among them. Remedy Entertainment--the studio responsible for the award-winning surreal action-adventure game Control--currently has three games in development, with two of them now entering pre-production.Studio head Tero Virtala, in a recent financial report, confirmed that progress on Crossfire/Crossfire X and Vanguard (both multiplayer experiences of some sort) is going smoothly. Virtala said Crossfire is expected to launch on Xbox One sometime this year, while Vanguard is now entering the pre-production phase.Virtala also spoke a little about a third, unannounced project Remedy is working on in conjunction with the two mentioned above. He shared no concrete details about this game other than that it too has entered pre-production. All in all, in addition to extra DLC for Control, Remedy is working on four games in total. Sonic the Hedgehog's box office numbers have gotta grow fast if Paramount wants it to be a hit. The movie managed to take in $3 million during Thursday night preview showings, and while the number is not very impressive, it's likely to do significantly better over the weekend.According to Deadline, Sonic the Hedgehog's $3 million is comparable to other family films like Lego Movie 2 and How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World. With younger viewers more likely to see the movie on a Friday or Saturday night, Paramount is expecting the film to make around $45 million over the weekend.Originally scheduled to release in late 2019, Sonic the Hedgehog was delayed in order for the visual effects team to redesign the title character. Unfortunately, Moving Picture Company, the studio behind the redesign, was shut down in December. After a four-year run in Steam Early Access, Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem is out now. The Diablo-like isometric action RPG, originally called Umbra, was Kickstarted back in 2015, raising over $406,000. Developer Wolcen Studio described Wolcen's launch as "the end of a long journey" and "the beginning of a new adventure." According to the team's announcement post, their goal is to support Wolcen "for a very long time," with new features, content, and fixes based on community feedback. One question the community has seemed to ask over and over is whether or not Wolcen will come to PS4, Xbox, or even Switch. While the developers don't have a definitive answer regarding a console release, they do have an interest.According to Wolcen Studio on Twitter, there is "no ETA" for a console version of Wolcen, as the team has been hard at work on the PC version for several years. Shenmue 3 finally released in 2019 after years of waiting and delays, but the game isn't done just yet. A Story Quest Pack DLC will be available next week, and it brings back a classic character.Available on February 18 for $6 via the PlayStation Store and Epic Games Store, the Story Quest Pack DLC is also available as part of the Complete DLC Collection pack. The story features Zhang Shugin from Shenmue 2, who is shown in the pack's promotional screenshots to have the exact same haircut and wide grin as before.Shenmue 3 is a love letter to the original two games, and despite its new coat of paint, it contains many of the same mechanics as its predecessors. That comes with its perks for fans, but it also means the gameplay hasn't evolved in significant ways.
