James Bond is returning to cinemas in 2020 with No Time To Die, the 25th film in the long-running franchise. Between the international trailer and the recent Superbowl trailer, we've seen quite a bit of Bond's next adventure, which will see Daniel Craig return as the character one last time. As hype builds, though, fans will take whatever they can get--including a car ad that uses footage from a scene in the film.Land Rover has debuted a new ad for their Defender four-wheel drive, which features in the new film and has already been spotted in the trailer. The ad, which has debuted on the James Bond YouTube page and is narrated by Craig, features rehearsal footage from a car chase scene that has been shot for the new film. This might not give us any great insights into the plot for the new film, but it looks like a fun scene. It's not quite as fun as the recent James Bond vs. Daniel Craig Heineken ad, though.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Amazon's Lord of the Rings TV show is one of the most-anticipated projects currently in the works, and as such, it's seemingly a highly sought-after job for actors. A lot of the cast has already been announced, but that hasn't stopped people from sending in audition tapes in the hopes they might land a role in the big-budget fantasy show.Glenise Mullins, one of the writers of the Amazon show, has been receiving these tapes--and wants you to please stop sending them. "I'm sure they're great and I trust you're super talented. And I really do understand your passion, but again, I'm not involved in the casting," Mullins said.Another writer, Gennifer Hutchinson of Breaking Bad fame, replied, "Yeeeaaaahhhhhh" to suggest she was also receiving a lot of audition tapes. Patrick McKay, one of the showrunners of the Amazon Lord of the Rings show, replied to Mullins and Hutchinson with the Anchorman "sorry" GIF.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Ibb & Obb, a co-op puzzle platformer that was first released for PC and PS3 in 2013, is the sort of game that looks and feels like a perfect fit for Switch. Now, years after its initial, well-received release, it's coming to Nintendo's portable machine. It will release on March 5.The two-player game will be playable with detached Joy-Cons, and while you can play the game alone, it's designed to be played with someone else, as shown in the trailer below. The two characters need to stick together, and many of the puzzles involve dealing with changes in gravity. The game is available for pre-purchase now at a 15% discount, meaning that you can get it for $12.69. It will sell for $15 after launch. The game received a 7/10 in our original review, and reviewer Tom Mc Shea wrote that "Beneath the whimsical exterior lies a devious and clever puzzle game that makes you curse gravity for being so strict." The Switch has a huge range of games heading its way in 2020, of course--here are some of the highlights. Info from Gamespot.com

The Sonic the Hedgehog movie has enjoyed a strong first weekend at the US box office, opening to $57 million, according to Box Office Mojo. This eclipses even the most generous of pre-release expectations, and means that the movie has now had the best opening weekend ever for a movie based on a game, surpassing Pokemon: Detective Pikachu's $54.3 million opening. It's worth noting that the $57 million figure is an estimate, and although eventual figures tend to trend up rather than down, there's always the possibility that the movie made slightly less than expected (Pokemon: Detective Pikachu was originally reported to have made $58 million in its opening weekend, which was later revised.)In any case, it's a good opening for the movie, which has attracted mixed reviews (although GameSpot's review from Phil Hornshaw was very positive, as were many others.) The movie is expected to do well at the box office on President's Day (February 17), too. The movie has made an additional $43 million outside of the US so far.Recent successful movies based on games have made the majority of their money overseas. Warcraft and Tomb Raider succeeded internationally while doing poorly in the US, while Resident Evil: The Final Chapter made less than 10% of its money domestically. This makes Sonic's opening weekend in the US all the more unique. Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The Call of Duty movie is seemingly no longer a priority for Activision, though that doesn't mean it's been scrapped altogether. Director Stefano Sollima (Sicario: Day of Soldado) said in a new interview with BadTaste that the action movie is on hold as the parties decide how to move forward.Sollima pointed out that this move is nothing out of the ordinary, given Hollywood movies can take a very long time to come together. The Uncharted movie, for example, has been in various stages of production for more than a decade already and has cycled through 7 different directors.Sollima also mentioned in the interview that he wrote the Call of Duty movie script alongside Scott Silver, who wrote the scripts for Joker and The Fighter, both of which earned Oscar nominations.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

StarCraft: Ghost was originally planned as an Xbox/PS2/GameCube spin-off, a new third-person shooter entry in the StarCraft series. The game was never finished, though, and was only ever seen or played behind closed doors during E3. Now, for the first time, footage of the game has appeared online.First spotted by Kotaku, a playable test build of StarCraft: Ghost, stored on an Xbox dev kit, has leaked online. Footage from the game is emerging, showing what the full game would have looked and played like, had it ever released. The first video, below, is off-screen gameplay that includes footage of the dev kit menu that the build is being accessed from. This next footage shows the game upscaled to 720P, and is direct capture footage. The only build available is very much a work-in-progress--it looks like aiming is quite wonky, but it's also the clearest look many of us have ever had at how the game played. It's likely that more footage will surface now that this build has surfaced.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The Uncharted movie has been a long time coming, as it's been in one form of production or another for more than a decade. It now seems like the stars have finally aligned, as Spider-Man actor Tom Holland is on board to play a young Nathan Drake with Mark Wahlberg attached to play Sully. Holland has now given an interview about the film, and he seems enthusiastic about the script. In particular, he said the movie may succeed where other video game adaptations have struggled because its story is a new one, not a re-telling of any of the games."I read the newest draft of the script ... and it's one of the best scripts I've ever read," he told IGN. "It really, really jumps off the page. I think what Uncharted offers that most video game films don't is that it's an origin story to the games, so if you've played the games, you haven't see what's going to happen in the film. If you haven't played the games, you're going to enjoy the film because it's information that everyone else is getting at the same time."Holland went on to himself acknowledge that the Uncharted movie has endured a protracted development timeline. There has been lots of turnover as well, as the movie has shuffled through seven different directors and numerous scriptwriters before getting to where it's at today.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
