Red Dead Online, the online component of Red Dead Redemption 2, is currently offering XP bonuses on certain activities. To really help you earn that extra XP, there are also discounts running on certain in-game products. Rockstar has announced bonuses that will be in effect until February 24.First up, all Bounty Missions, including the ten Legendary Bounties that are available and Bounty Hunter Free Roam Events that pop up, will now give an extra 50% Role XP. In the latest episode of the series, "A Head of Her Time," the cigarette-smoking master of the occult was stricken with an advanced form of lung cancer and now looks to be on the brink of death.While this particular plot twist may seem a little dark for a show like Legends of Tomorrow, which trades in silliness and fun, it's actually deeply rooted in the Hellblazer comics. Microsoft is partnering with the military charity Outperform, Serve, Develop (OSD) for a new campaign where the Xbox-maker will donate as much as $250,000.Now through March 31, Microsoft will match every dollar donated to a new campaign, up to $250,000 USD. The money goes toward efforts that support the mental health and wellbeing of soldiers through resources like video games and tabletop games, among other things. Here are two reliable gaming facts--if there's a major game that's not on Nintendo Switch, owners of the Nintendo console will want a port, and if a port is in the works, it'll likely be accidentally unveiled by a ratings board. This has once again come to pass, with GameXplain discovering that Catherine: Full Body and XCOM 2 Collection have both been rated for the Switch in Korea.Neither game has officially been confirmed for release yet, but these age ratings are often a strong indication that the game is coming. These are not the only ports to recently receive ratings, either--in January, the BioShock: The Collection was rated in Taiwan. Catherine: Full Body is an expanded version of 2011's Catherine, which added a third love interest and plenty of new content to the game. Nintendo will likely struggle to keep the system in supply this year as it struggles with component issues caused by the coronavirus.According to Bloomberg, Nintendo's issues are primarily in Vietnam, where it has an assembly partner that requires components via China. Should the component shortage not be resolved soon, the console would run into supply issues by April. Persona 5 was one of 2017's best games--it resonated with many of us and was a transformative experience for myself. But with Persona 5 Royal set to launch in the West next month, I think it's fair to ask if it'll be worth investing (or reinvesting) 80 to 120 hours into this RPG. Localization is much more than translation; it's also the interpretation of language and culture for a particular region or audience, accounting for context and delivery while staying true to the source material. It's critical to our enjoyment of Japanese games. At a recent preview event for the Western version of Persona 5 Royal, I briefly spoke with Sega/Atlus senior project manager and localization veteran Yu Namba about the series' history and changes made for this new version of Persona 5.Namba has been with the series since Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, the PS1 game dating all the way back to 2000. He's seen the series evolve over the past two decades and, having taken part in bringing them to a Western audience, played a part in that evolution.
