Season 2 of Fortnite Chapter 2 rolls on with a new set of challenges to complete. Week 2 brings the second wave of Brutus's Briefing challenges, and as before, many of these tie into this season's spy theme. One in particular asks you to find Shadow safe houses. If you're not sure what those are or where they're located, we've put together the map and guide below to help you out.Where Are The Shadow Safe House Locations?Shadow is one of the two warring spy factions in Fortnite Chapter 2, and this challenge has you traveling to their safe houses. We've found five of these hideouts across the map, which is how many you need to visit to complete the task. What makes these safe houses particularly tricky to find is their inconspicuous appearance. They look like normal buildings from the outside, but you'll know for sure when you stumble upon one, as they're swarming with AI henchmen, so you'll need to be cautious when approaching them. We've marked down the safe house locations on the map below:Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

During its PAX East 2020 panel, Gearbox announced Borderlands 3's next campaign-focused DLC. On March 26, Borderlands 3 will take a Lovecraftian turn in Guns, Love, and Tentacles (beginning the game's season-long series of Spring 2020 updates). The DLC will be followed by two more major expansions in 2020--one in the summer and another later in the year."One of the key pillars of [Guns, Love, and Tentacles] was to put the love back into Lovecraft," Gearbox art director Jonathan Rancourt said in an interview with GameSpot. "We're going for a strong contrast between those [Lovecraftian] landscapes and the story of a love worth telling. You're going to be in a frozen wasteland where there are high mountain peaks that convey a sense of horror in some ways. But the story is lighter and it's about Hammerlock and Wainwright sharing their wedding. There's always trouble when you're going through your wedding and, this time around, it's even crazier."Sir Hammerlock and Wainwright Jakobs won't be the only familiar faces you'll be running into during Guns, Love, and Tentacles--Borderlands 2's first DLC character, Gaige, is finally coming back. Much like Lilith, Mordecai, Zer0, and the rest of the Vault Hunters from previous games, Gaige returns as a companion NPC, not a playable character.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

During a panel at PAX East, the first gameplay from the much-anticipated Baldur's Gate 3 was revealed by developer Larian Studios, which is best known for the acclaimed Divinity: Original Sin and its sequel. Prior to this showcase at PAX, we were able to sit down with Larian creative director Swen Wincke to discuss the challenges of creating the game, working with Wizards of the Coast, and much more. Read on for our full chat and check out our breakdown of the new intro cinematic.Mike Mahardy: I know Larian has been pursuing the Baldur's Gate license for a while now. Is it true that Divinity: Original Sin 2 was kind of like a tryout for Wizards of the Coast? A way for you to say, "Hey, we can handle this license?"Swen Wincke, Creative Director: I approached them after Divinity: Original Sin (DOS 1). I said, "You should let us make Baldur's Gate 3. We have a lot of Dungeons and Dragons fans in the office. It's something that would really motivate them." They said no, then. Then we were working on DOS 2. In between, I kept on bumping into Nate Stewart at Dungeons and Dragons. He asked me, "What game would you make actually?" I said, "This is what I would make." He said, "Okay, all right, that's kind of cool." But yeah, at the time, the stars were not aligned.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Altered Carbon, which we called "a cyberpunk masterpiece" in our Season 1 review over two years ago, is back on Netflix for a long-awaited second season. And those who have already spun up the show for another go have likely noticed that the vibe is pretty different from Season 1. Gone are the trappings and tropes of a future-noir gumshoe mystery with a brooding protagonist and neon-soaked gutters; instead, Season 2 is a more straightforward action thriller, set on a different world, with an almost entirely new cast, and with a very different tone."I love the world that Season 1 set up," Altered Carbon Season 2 showrunner Alison Schapker told GameSpot during a recent interview. "Season 2 is...a little bit more of a thriller. They're more on the run. I don't think it has to be any particular subgenre of cyberpunk or sci-fi."Schapker took over as showrunner during production on Season 2, receiving the torch from Season 1 showrunner and show creator Laeta Kalogridis. The two worked together on the new season for around six months before Schapker, whose previous producing credits include sci-fi shows like Alias, Fringe, and Lost, took over entirely.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Netflix's Altered Carbon is not always easy to follow. When you have multiple actors playing more than one character thanks to various characters taking over other characters' bodies, people who have been alive for millennia, and a central mystery involving ancient aliens and their futuristic technology, it can be a lot to take in. If you got to the end of Altered Carbon Season 2 and feel totally lost as to where things might go next, don't worry--we have you covered.Warning: there are spoilers after this point! Beware if you haven't finished Altered Carbon Season 2 yet.At the end of Season 2, Anthony Mackie's Takeshi Kovacs (who is different from Will Yun Lee's Kovacs, who we'll call Kovacs Prime) is dead, having sacrificed himself to thwart the Elder being who'd invaded Quellcrist Falconer's stack. Kovacs allowed himself to be infected, then used the power of the Elder to rain "angel fire" down on himself, killing them both.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The Borderlands movie has been in the works for a half-decade already, and it's still just getting started. But it crossed a major milestone recently when Gearbox announced that Hostel director Eli Roth had come aboard to direct the video game adaptation.Roth appeared at the Gearbox PAX East panel today in Boston--he grew up in Newton--where he reacted to joining the movie and shared some new insight. In particular, he revealed that he wants to cast cosplayers in the movie, and then do terrible things to them.Starting off, though, he did his best Boston accent. You really need to watch the full video for the complete effect, but here's what he said: "Dude, it's f**king wicked awesome to be here. I got f**king wicked hammered last night, went to Dunkies this morning, had like four cruellers, I'm like wicked wired right now."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The Simpsons will air "Bart the Bad Guy" on Sunday, March 1, an episode that will parody the Marvel Cinematic Universe--specifically, the last two Avengers movies, Infinity War and Endgame. In anticipation of the episode, Fox has released a clip from it, showing off Kevin Feige's appearance as Thanos parody Chinnos. The episode, which also features Avengers directors Joe and Anthony Russo, will involve Bart accidentally seeing a superhero film before its release and becoming "Spoiler-Boy", with the power to spoil the movie for everyone else.Judging from this clip, voice acting might not be Feige's greatest talent--but we'll forgive him, especially since the next wave of Marvel films is aiming for greater diversity. Variety is also reporting that Cobie Smulders (who plays Agent Maria Hill in the Marvel movies) will feature in the episode as Hydrangea. Her husband, Taran Killam, will also voice a character named Airshot, and YouTube star Tal Fishman will play "Reaction Guy". The episode will also star Joe Mantegna, who voices Fat Tony. Variety's article also has some exclusive screenshots from the episode, showing off some of these characters as they'll appear in the episode. The majority of The Simpsons is available on Disney Plus--here's our list of essential episodes. This update is aimed at altering the endgame Mayhem Mode, which is a challenge-based game mode for players looking to earn legendary loot more quickly. The update will alter the mode so that its effects are more in line with Borderlands 3's tone. So, for example, instead of shotgun damage decreasing and pistol damage increasing, you'll have goofier effects like everyone getting a big head--increasing the likelihood of scoring headshots for both you and your enemies.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

As filming gets underway in San Francisco, The Matrix 4 continues to add to its cast. The Wrap reports that Spartacus actress Ellen Hollman has been cast in an unspecified role in the upcoming action movie starring Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Jada Pinkett-Smith. Hollman would be just the latest new addition to the cast, following Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Given her background as a Jiu Jitsu martial artist, we might see Hollman performing stunts or action scenes in The Matrix 4, but this is only speculation. Hollman played Saxa on Seasons 2 and 3 of Spartacus, while she also had roles on Into the Badlands and NCIS: New Orleans. Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Although combat in previous Baldur's Gate titles has traditionally focused around the use of real-time mechanics, Baldur's Gate III uses a turn-based system. For developer Larian Studios, it's always been a no-brainer to make Baldur's Gate III a turn-based game."It was never really a question," Baldur's Gate III design producer David Walgrave said, according to USG. "We've been doing turn-based for a while now. We're pretty good at it. Dungeons & Dragons is turn-based in itself, so it makes a lot of sense."Even after we implemented the Dungeons & Dragons ruleset, the result was so different from what we concocted with Divinity: Original Sin that we saw that the combat designers would have to do it completely different, so that was a challenge," Walgrave continued. "And we're doing things that we haven't done before, so, for us, it was the best choice."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
