DC's Justice League movie may have been a critical and box office failure, but its legacy continues to live on, not unlike Superman himself, forcibly resurrected time and time again. Whether it's director Zack Snyder himself stoking the fires of the now-mythical "Snyder Cut," or, in this case, Ben Affleck coming out to say just how bad a time it was for him, the ghost of Justice League will live on forever in our hearts whether we like it or not. And, needless to say, Affleck certainly falls on the "not" side of things, according to an interview he had with GQ to break down his most iconic roles.Affleck explained that Justice League's production seemed to be "one problem after another," and that the process left him feeling fed up with playing Bruce Wayne. "They said, 'Would you like to direct and star in a solo Batman movie?' And I found that, at some point, I had lost my enthusiasm or passion for it. And I thought this should really be made by someone who for whom it's their wildest dream come true. It was clear to me it was time to move on."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

We're only a week away from Borderlands 3's Steam launch, and as developer Gearbox gets ready to welcome a new crop of PC players, the studio has released an FAQ that breaks down everything you can expect from the looter-shooter's Steam release on March 13. We've compiled it all down below.Borderlands 3 was originally an Epic Games Store exclusive when it launched in September 2019. Despite this exclusivity deal (that lasted almost six months), Gearbox's looter-shooter was rather successful on Epic, with the number of peak concurrent players doubling the all-time top concurrent player record set by Borderlands 2. And across all platforms, Borderlands 3 became 2K Games' fastest-selling title ever.Gearbox is preparing to launch Borderlands 3's second major campaign add-on Guns, Love, and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainwright & Hammerlock, which arrives on March 26. While announcing this piece of DLC, the studio also teased the looter-shooter's third expansion that will feature outlaws and dinosaurs. Both expansions are part of Borderlands 3's Season Pass, which retails for $50.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Every now and then, video games can warm the cockles of your heart. That's the case with NBA 2K20 and a 15-year-old Make-A-Wish kid from Georgia named William Floyd. At just 18 months old, William went into heart failure and was diagnosed with a genetic disorder that causes muscle weakness and heart problems. His condition doesn't allow him to play sports like other kids his age, so 2K Sports is letting William stay competitive in the virtual world by putting him in NBA 2K20.William is the first non-NBA athlete to be authentically scanned into the game with his likeness and even some custom dance moves included. You can now download him on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. William's in-game player model can be found within Quick Game mode as a free agent for you to add to a team of your choosing, as well as through MyCareer and MyLeague rosters."When we learned about William's wish to visit 2K, the whole team was thrilled," said Ronnie Singh, digital marketing director on NBA 2K (and better known as Ronnie 2K). "Learning about his journey was really humbling, and we wanted to find a way to make William's wish come true in the biggest way possible. We couldn't think of a better way to do that than bringing his passion to life in-game and giving millions of NBA 2K fans around the world the chance to enjoy William's player model."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The team of Tom King, Mitch Gerads, and Doc Shaner have a new series from DC Comics' Black Label and putting their own spin on the sci-fi character Adam Strange in Strange Adventures. The new series is available now at local comic shops and on digital markets.Writer King, joined by artists Gerads and Shaner, all continue to elevate the level of storytelling within their books. Strange Adventures is more than a typical superhero or sci-fi comic book. "This is like your favorite FX show, your favorite HBO show," King told GameSpot at C2E2. "This is a show that at the end you're like, 'Holy crap, I can't believe that happened. That's some dark-a** s***.'"I like humor in comics. There's laughs in it, but [Strange Adventures] is... It's True Detective. It's Mindhunter. These are guys seeking out the dark corners of the minds and myths and doing something dark and cool. You know that feeling when you first read Watchman, and you lifted up the book and almost the whole world looked a little different? It's almost like someone were playing like a minor key symphony around you or something. Or like the first time you saw Aliens or Alien, that kind of feeling? That's what I'm going for."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

With Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary (Halo: CEA) finally launching on PC earlier this month as part of the Halo: Master Chief Collection, developer 343 Industries has deployed a new update that adds features and resolves issues. But while the patch notes--which you can check out below--may seem small, the update is actually pretty big on Xbox One.We've released an update to MCC on all platforms. While Xbox players can expect a large update, which includes classic audio toggle options for CE multiplayer, PC owners will receive a small update as well. See the latest patch notes for more info: https://t.co/HvEX2MJZa5 pic.twitter.com/tV0m4KFurO — Halo (@Halo) March 6, 2020When initiating the update, 60 GB of hard drive space will be allocated to the game. Steam users need only a couple hundred megabytes to install the latest update. The big draw of this patch, though, is the audio. After the update installs, an option in the "Settings" menu should appear that will let you switch between the original Combat Evolved and Combat Evolved Anniversary audio in multiplayer. This is an exciting upgrade for long-time Halo fans who want to hear the original audio.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Hideo Kojima is very active on Twitter and, recently, he's been tweeting about the anime Made in Abyss. Kojima reviewed the show in a tweet, "Watched Made In Abyss up to Episode 3 as I was recommended by my staff. Took a while to get use to the drawing but setting of the abyss (big hole) and the world were very interesting. Still it was 'relic' to me and not quite 'trainee' yet. I may dig a bit more in deep." He then tweeted that he bought the whole manga series (likely in response to his staff member who said he should check out the source material.)Bought the whole series of manga, Made In Abyss by Akihito Tsukushi. pic.twitter.com/GtrSeBn2XD — HIDEO_KOJIMA (@HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN) March 6, 2020So what exactly is Made in Abyss? It was originally a manga written by Akihito Tsukushi and later adapted into a 13-episode TV series in 2017. Three films, Made in Abyss: Journey's Dawn, Made in Abyss: Wandering Twilight, and Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul, were also produced. The last one was recently released in January 2020.The protagonist of Made in Abyss is an orphaned girl, Riko, who lives in a town surrounded by a big giant hole called the Abyss. In the Abyss are remnants of a strange civilization and so-called cave raiders descend into the hole to bring back artifacts. Only there's one caveat (other than possible death by monsters in the hole): the deeper you descend, the more you'll be affected by a strange curse when you ascend to the surface again.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

When the original pair of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games were released in 2006, they were received as the ugly Duckletts of Pokemon spin-offs. Now, almost 15 years later, it is clear how wrong we were to write off Spike Chunsoft's ambitious take on the titanic series: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX for Switch is wondrous to play and, in a way, boasts a substantially more resonant fable than most other recent Pokemon games. You wake up one morning and everything seems pretty ordinary, at least until you realize that you're not a human anymore. Instead, you've magically and mysteriously metamorphosed into a Pokemon--which exact species is determined by a fun little personality quiz you take at the beginning of the game. Before long you make a new best friend, who is also a Pokemon, and you decide to form a rescue team together. Why? To save foolish Pokemon who have ventured into dangerous dungeons stricken by environmental disasters, even though they're totally aware of said environmental disasters. Over the course of the game, you embark on arduous odysseys to the many dungeons scattered sporadically across the world of Pokemon, each of which contains several 'mons in desperate need of help and lots of others who are a bit aggravated by the daily earthquakes. What's important about Mystery Dungeon carving itself out a new home on Switch is that DX isn't just some sort of lazy rehash. Perhaps the most striking thing about this reworked spin-off, at least at first, is its revised color palette. It's pretty different to the old Mystery Dungeon games, sporting a warm painterly style to replace the originals' GBA-era pixel art. The revamped rescue base you get about halfway through the game is especially gorgeous, while the relentlessly upbeat soundtrack is capable of both intensifying the charming tone of the art and flipping even the tensest moments on their head. This is an essential part of the game's overall appeal, as it goes hand in hand with the fact that Mystery Dungeon is ultimately about overcoming adversity with a smile on your face. One second it seems as if you're on the verge of the inevitable apocalypse, the next you're bobbing along, beaming for no reason, ready to hurtle headlong into a procedurally generated dungeon to save some 'mons and make some money.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

We've reached Week 3 of Fortnite Season 2, which means there's a new set of challenges to complete in the battle royale shooter. As before, this week's batch--TNTina's Trial--is themed after one of the new character skins you can unlock through the Season 2 Battle Pass. While most of the challenges fittingly revolve around explosives, one asks you to land at three specific landmarks: The Rig, Hydro 16, and Logjam Woodworks. If you're not sure where those are, we show you where to go below.Where Are The Rig, Hydro 16, And Logjam Woodworks Locations? All three landmarks that you need to visit for this challenge are located in the southwestern portion of the map, so they shouldn't be too difficult to track down. The Rig is perhaps the easiest to find; it's the small island in grid square B7. Logjam Woodworks is directly northeast of it in the corner of grid square B6. Finally, Hydro 16 is the dam on the western edge of the lake in the southern portion of the island. You can get a better look at where all three landmarks are on the map below. The Rig, Hydro 16, and Logjam Woodworks locations Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

There's nothing quite like rocking a fresh outfit comprised of a combat helmet and a bath towel on your island vacation. You can do that in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which we got to experience during a hands-on demo at PAX East 2020. In it, we saw just how much the Able Sisters shop has expanded with a larger catalog of clothing and accessories--shirts, jackets, dresses, pants, skirts, hats, helmets, glasses, shoes, socks...it was pretty overwhelming to put an outfit together.Animal Crossing has given us customization options since its inception, letting you draw your own patterns and apply them to shirts and hats (or use as wallpaper) in the original, and expanding a bit more in follow-ups City Folk and New Leaf. However, New Horizons presents the biggest suite of options for the series thus far, which you can see in the video below (between 4:53 and 6:34).What's more is that you can preview all clothing and accessories to see how they look on your character before buying anything. It's a quick and simple way to coordinate an outfit and purchase what you want in one fell swoop. Also, every time you select a different clothing item, your villager strikes a new pose and it's the cutest thing I've ever seen in Animal Crossing.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

One of the biggest gameplay loops of Animal Crossing has been the act of collecting bugs, catching fish, and digging up fossils for your town's museum to put on display. Those things are still a core part of New Horizons, and this new entry into the Animal Crossing series will likely further motivate you to do all that, because the new museum is absolutely beautiful. We had a chance to play an expanded demo of Animal Crossing: New Horizons at PAX East 2020, and we saw a little bit of the crafting system, a ton of fashion options you'll eventually unlock, and more of what the island has to offer. But the redesigned museum still stands out to me as one of my favorite features. You can see what I'm talking about in our gameplay video below (starting at 6:38).Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Animal Crossing: New Horizons revolves around a delightful vacation on Tom Nook's island getaway. And to make sure your time there stays delightful, you'll have Isabelle to confide in if any of the villagers get a little too wild. It'll be a way for you to get rid of any inappropriate clothing designs or dialogue villagers might use, but the process was definitely one of the funniest parts of our time playing the game because Isabelle is an international treasure. We had a chance to play New Horizons through an expanded demo during PAX East 2020 and got a quick look at some of its new features. You can check out our tour of the island and some of the facilities on it in our gameplay video below, which includes the snitching process. When you get the Town Hall on your island, you can find both Tom Nook and Isabelle there, and if you talk to Isabelle, you can change the island's song or flag, and you can report any of the villagers for wearing or saying anything out of line. We're fairly certain it's going to work similarly in New Horizons as it did in the previous game New Leaf; a simple method of preventing villagers from wearing with custom designs adopted from other players' islands that you find problematic. The same goes for if they say any custom phrases or words they got from another player's island.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
