Legendary author Stephen King has commented on the controversial final season of Game of Thrones. His post contains spoilers, so scroll down below the image to see what he had to say. SPOILERS FOLLOW BELOW THE IMAGE.

Posting on Facebook, King said he's "loved" the final season of Game of Thrones, including Daenerys embracing her "Mad Queen" side in Episode 5 with the burning of King's Landing. King also addressed what seems to be a negative campaign against Game of Thrones in the final season. Bear in mind that King posted his comments on May 17, after Episode 5.

Here is his full statement:

The final episode of the final season of Game of Thrones airs tonight on HBO. It wraps up the story that began back in 2011, and we may finally learn who wins the Iron Throne. Keep checking back with GameSpot throughout the night for more coverage.
